Research on the meteorological data transmission system of civil aircraft based on BeiDou satellite

Abstract With the official opening of the Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system, Beidou has entered a new era of global services, extending its service area to the whole world. With the advantages of sufficient data volume and high data security, the BeiDou-3 short message satellite communication system can provide global communication services for airlines, realize two-way data transmission between air and land, and effectively reduce the operating costs of airline companies. Aiming at the demand for low-cost civil aircraft weather data transmission proposed by domestic and foreign airline companies, the current development of civil aviation weather information transmission and the current application status of BeiDou in civil aviation were studied, and the BeiDou satellite-based civil aircraft weather data transmission system was designed. The system architecture, detailed functions and data transmission workflow were analyzed, and the message coding structure was designed using bit-based coding technology. Finally, the feasibility of the scheme is verified through the data demand analysis of weather news and the onboard flight test on a domestic aircraft. The results show that t-he BeiDou short message function has the ability to realize the weather data transmission of a civilian aircraft.

Global harmonization of food safety regulations, stronger enforcement mechanisms, and public-private partnerships are essential for ensuring widespread compliance. Incorporating technology into regulatory frameworks is key to addressing new challenges and maintaining food safety across borders. Governments must also prioritize consumer education and awareness through policies that leverage technology platforms to promote food safety knowledge. Case studies demonstrate the successful application of these technologies in sectors like dairy and meat processing, showcasing the potential for broader industry adoption. However, challenges such as high implementation costs, regulatory lag, and data security concerns remain. This review argues that a synergistic approach combining technological integration with forward-thinking policy development is essential for advancing global food safety standards and safeguarding public health in the future.

Advancements in Telemedicine: Enhancing Public Health Outcomes through the Implementation of 5G Networks for Ultra Low Latency Communication

With the introduction of 5G networks, a new era emerges in telemedicine, dramatically improving public health outcomes with fewer telecommunications networks. The proliferation of 5G communications networks that enable seamless remote access, routine patient monitoring, and expedited treatment on mobile devices is the driving force behind improved patient care and public health risk variety detection and maintenance. High infrastructure costs, wide adoption, and data privacy and security Despite the compelling potential of 5G in telemedicine, some barriers to adoption have been proposed for Integrating Smart Automated Healthcare Analysis (I-SAHA), using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Using these, I-SAHA can analyze health information as its peak rapidly and reliably, albeit with insights related to diagnosis by physicians and prognosis. In the context of telemedicine in a 5G application, this study investigates the performance of I-SAHA applications through an in-depth simulation analysis. Through its simulation, I-SAHA demonstrates that increased speed and accuracy in remote health assessment can lead to more dynamic, personalized health care. Additionally, 5G networks enable real-time transmission of vital health information to ensure prompt medical intervention with minimal intervention. The results show how telemedicine can benefit from 5G networks and how I-SAHA applications can improve healthcare. This approach has the potential to expand access to better health care by reducing existing barriers and improving public health outcomes through innovative research on telecommunications.

As global population continues to grow, there is an increasing need for innovative solutions to enhance agricultural productivity, efficiency, and sustainability. To meet increasing population demand, agricultural production must be doubled. The global population is projected to rise by almost two billion individuals within the next three decades. With global challenges such as population growth, climate change, and resource formation, automation in farming practices is one of the key driving forces behind this revolution. Robotics, coupled with artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced data analytics, are transformative solutions for precision farming and smart farming technologies. Benefits of a Smart Building Design in Public Library Facilities, Lagos State, Nigeria

The study refers to the benefits in the adoption of a smart building design in public library facilities, Lagos State, Nigeria. Public libraries in Lagos serve as vital resources for education, information, and community activities. However, challenges such as outdated infrastructure, limited financial resources and varying levels of technological literacy among the community need to be addressed to ensure successful integration. The study examined the practicality, benefits, challenges, costs associated with integrating smart technologies and infrastructure such as smart lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, occupancy sensors, energy management systems etc. The research methodology present in this study was sampling technique and sampling procedure, sampling frame, instrument for data collection, and data analysis techniques. The study discussed public library facilities, the criteria for categorization smart buildings, basic smart devices needed in public library buildings, problems and solutions identified with public library buildings in Lagos. The findings of this study indicated that introducing smart building design for a public library facility offers several notable benefits which include significant energy savings, improved indoor environmental quality, enhanced user experience through personalized services, and efficient space utilization. Moreover, smart building features enable real-time monitoring and data analytics for informed decision-making and maintenance. However, the challenges that needs to be addressed during the assessment process include high upfront costs, interoperability and data security concerns, potential disruptions during the transition phase, and the need of training staff to utilize the new technologies effectively. Overall, with careful planning, stakeholder involvement, and appropriate fundings, the library can embrace smart technologies to enhance its operational efficiency, user experience, sustainability, and contribute positively to the surrounding community.

An analysis of performance, pricing, and coordination in a supply chain with cloud services: The impact of data security

As an important supporting technology for Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing, cloud computing technology facilitated the sharing of digital services and reduced energy consumption. However, concerns about data security may cause firms to hesitate to adopt cloud services. How to coordinate their supply and demand and estimate the economic and environmental impacts are not well understood. To address this research gap, this study investigates a supply chain consisting of a cloud-service provider and a manufacturer and a collaboration mechanism that may coordinate both parties’ interests. We employ game theory to design stylized models of two supply chain structures (centralised and decentralised) and derive each firm’s optimal product pricing, profits, and the entire supply chain under different scenarios. The results show that considering cloud-service data security, a cloud-service supply chain cannot achieve coordination in the absence of intervention, while once coordinated it could be more environmentally friendly than the case without coordination. Furthermore, we propose a revenue-sharing contract to incentivise the cloud-service provider to cooperate with the manufacturer and identify the conditions for data security from which both can benefit. Interestingly, enhancing data security does not always help the entire supply chain, and higher data security may worsen it. Finally, numerical examples were derived to demonstrate our conclusions. Our study highlights supply chain coordination in a cloud-service environment and provides significant insights for participants who value data security and carbon–neutral innovation solutions.

Exploring on Cloud Security Landscapes:A Comprehensive Review

Nowadays, the massive growth of data and the adoption of the cloud-based architecture indicate that the secure storage of data is a very essential issue. Cloud storage is the solution to convenient, scalable and cost-effective storage, yet security issues persist, especially regarding the protection of sensitive information. The encryption plays a vital role in which data is made unreadable and only accessible by those with the proper authorization. This helps in data management and minimizes data leaks. Shared responsibility in cloud security entails collaboration between the operators and users through the encryption strategy and a number of security measures to protect the data, apps, and infrastructure. This paper deals with the different cryptographic techniques and technologies used for improving cloud security. It discusses the notion of Non-Deterministic Cryptographic Scheme (NCS), which is a secure technique that effectively utilizes randomness in cryptographic algorithms. Regarding the Intel architecture compatibility, SGX and blockchain technology implementation not only ensures data immutability, but it also strengthens the data against cyber threats. SGX produces secure compartments inside cloud platforms, while blockchain makes data integrity possible through decentralized and immutable ledger technology. The research gives an impression of the seaside and multi sided cloud security. Involving encryption, access control, data loss prevention, and intrusion detection systems. Technologies of cryptography like Group Key Based Attribute Encryption (GKBAE) and Modified Random Fibonacci Cryptography (MRFC) offers both data protection and reduced resource requirement in clouds. GKBAE enables fine-grained access control and attribute-based encryption that ensures high data security without any additional computation. In addition, the paper also talks about the privacy-preserving technology, and policy-oriented access control framework. Techniques like Linear Elliptical Curve Digital Signature (LECDS) that combine digital signatures with blockchain technologies can also be used to implement the above features. To sum up, the changing scenario of cloud security requires ceaseless innovation and application of the latest cryptographic methods. Through encryption, hardware level security features and distributed ledger technology implementation, data environment is more strengthened and vulnerabilities to hacking, data leakage, and unauthorized access are decreased. Making use of the modern security tools not only does the data safety but also is responsible for the trustworthiness and stability of the cloud computing infrastructure. Advancing Edge Computing with Federated Deep Learning: Strategies and Challenges

Abstract: Edge computation (EC) represents a transformative architecture in which cloud computing services are decentralized to the locations where data originates. This shift has been facilitated by the integration of deep learning (DL) technologies, notably in eliminating latency issues commonly referred to as the "echo effect" across various platforms. In typical EC-enabled DL frameworks where data producers are directly involved, it is often necessary to share data with third parties or edge/cloud servers to facilitate model training. This process, however, raises significant concerns regarding synchronization with high data rates, seamless migration, and security, consequently exposing the system to privacy vulnerabilities. These challenges can be addressed through the adoption of Federated Learning (FL), which provides a robust mechanism to mitigate risks associated with data loss, ensure data freshness, and enhance privacy.

A randomized encryption deduplication method against frequency attack

Encryption deduplication technology first encrypts the file or chunks of data, then detects and removes duplicate ciphertexts, storing only one copy on the cloud storage server (CSP). Although traditional encryption deduplication schemes have the function of ciphertext deduplication, they also have a serious problem. Since the key generation algorithm and the encryption algorithm are deterministic, the frequency of plaintext chunking will be leaked. It is possible for the attacker to infer the information of the plaintext. We propose a Randomized Encryption deduplication method against Frequency Attack (REFA) that provides high randomness in ciphertexts. The core idea of REFA is that after obtaining a convergence key generated with the aid of a key server, the user randomizes the convergence key with a random value of the same length. Then, REFA encrypts the plaintext chunk with a randomized key. Our scheme hides the random value in the ciphertext and encrypts the convergence key for user ownership verification. REFA perfectly masks the frequency of plaintext chunks and has high storage efficiency and data security. Furthermore, the CSP performs ciphertext updates with ciphertexts uploaded by subsequent users. REFA can effectively protect against frequency analysis attacks.

Optimizing the Security of Letter of Credit Transactions: Application of Blockchain Technology in Reducing the Risk of Fraud in Banking

Letter of Credit (LC) transactions play a vital role in facilitating international trade, but are vulnerable to various forms of fraud such as forgery of documents and manipulation of information. In the banking context, ensuring the security of LC transactions is an urgent challenge. This research aims to investigate the potential of applying blockchain technology in improving the security of LC transactions and reducing the risk of fraud in the banking sector. This research is included in descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted at Banks in DKI Jakarta. The population in this research are customers who use Letter of Credit transactions. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling so that in this research the research sample was 100 customers who used letter of credit transactions. The data analysis technique in this research uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The research results show that blockchain technology has great potential to increase the security of LC transactions through aspects such as high data security, transparency and auditability, as well as automation through smart contracts. With proper implementation, blockchain technology can help reduce the risk of fraud, increase operational efficiency, and build trust in international trade. This study contributes to the understanding of the potential application of blockchain technology in the global financial context and highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration to address transaction security challenges.

Multibeam-based mmWave segmented beamforming array system for high efficiency and secure communication

A new mmWave transmitter architecture with multibeam-based segmented beamforming arrays (SBAs) for high-efficiency and secure communication is proposed. Unlike convetional communication architecture, which transmits a high-order QAM signal through a single RF-chain, the proposed structure transmits independently controlled multiple QPSK signals to form M-QAM signals. The multiple independent SBA chains radiate independent QPSK signals at each chain’s maximum operation efficiency to reduce the peak-to-average-power ratio. Then, multiple beams with QPSK signals are steered by the SBAs to form a line of combination (LoC) where multiple QPSK signals are spatially vector-combined to generate M-QAM signals correctly. For any unidentified receiver outside the LoC, the desired high-order QAM signals cannot be retrieved owing to the lack of required sets of QPSK signals and SBA steering information. Thus, higher data security can be also guaranteed. To verify the proposed architecture, 28-GHz SBA-based transmitter and reference receiver were implemented. Three QPSK signal sets were transmitted by three SBAs supporting independent beamforming to flexibly create a narrow LoC where the receiver retrieved 64-QAM signals successfully. Furthermore, secured data transmission was verified with an extra eavesdropper in the vicinity of the target receiver. By controlling the LoC, only the target receiver successfully demodulated the 64-QAM signals.

Scale perception data compression method with blockchain technology for UAV communication

The demand for high data throughput and security in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) communication is rising. Efficient data transmission remains challenging due to limited wireless resources. This paper introduces a Scale Perception Compression Method that leverages compression and blockchain technology to optimize UAV communication. The method involves normalizing data into matrices, generating compression and decompression matrix codebook pairs, and selecting suitable pairs for small or large-scale matrices. Simulation results show that the error rate is associated with the distributions of the data and compression matrix. It remains relatively low when the data and compression matrix subjected to Uniform distribution compared to Gaussian distribution, regardless of the values of the number of rows m and columns r in compression matrix. Bubble method is more suitable to find out the proper matrix pair to compress and decompress transmitted data for small-scale codebook because it is stable, fast and results in lower difference between original and recovered data matrices. The same applies to Merge method for the large-scale codebook. The ER is always lower based on a small-scale codebook searching by Bubble method than that of on a large-scale codebook searching by Merge method, which indicates the former is sufficient for compression.

A Novel Efficient Hybrid Encryption Algorithm Based on Twofish and Key Generation Using Optimization for Ensuring Data Security in Cloud

Cloud computing is a rapidly advancing paradigm that enables users to access various services and resources anytime, anywhere. With this advancement, security has become a major concern for business organisations and individuals, and hence, it is essential to ensure that the services are provided with high data security. Numerous researches have focused on devising effective techniques to enhance data security. However, with the increasing connectivity, security still remains to be a major challenge. This paper devises a novel data protection scheme in the cloud by using the Twofish encryption algorithm and a key generation scheme with the Bald Eagle Pelican Optimization (BEPO) Algorithm. The proposed Twofish+BEPO_KeyGen is implemented in various phases, like initialization, registration, key generation, data encryption, authentication, validation and data sharing, and data decryption. Here, the Twofish algorithm is used to encrypt the data that has to be outsourced to the cloud, and for encryption, the security key required is generated by the BEPO algorithm. The efficacy of the Twofish+BEPO_KeyGen approach is examined by considering metrics, like memory usage, validation time, normalized variance, and conditional privacy, and is detected to have achieved values of 76.3 MB, 37.278 s, 1.665, and 0.926, correspondingly.

Emerging 6G/B6G Wireless Communication for the Power Infrastructure in Smart Cities: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Perspectives

A well-functioning smart grid is an essential part of an efficient and uninterrupted power supply for the key enablers of smart cities. To effectively manage the operations of a smart grid, there is an essential requirement for a seamless wireless communication system that provides high data rates, reliability, flexibility, massive connectivity, low latency, security, and adaptability to changing needs. A contemporary review of the utilization of emerging 6G wireless communication for the major applications of smart grids, especially in terms of massive connectivity and monitoring, secured communication for operation and resource management, and time-critical operations, are presented in this paper. This article starts with the key enablers of the smart city, along with the necessity of the smart grid for the key enablers of it. The fundamentals of the smart city, smart grid, and 6G wireless communication are also introduced in this paper. Moreover, the motivations to integrate 6G wireless communication with the smart grid system are expressed in this article as well. The relevant literature overview, along with the novelty of this paper, is depicted to bridge the gap of the current research works. We describe the novel technologies of 6G wireless communication to effectively perform the considered smart grid applications. Novel technologies of 6G wireless communication have significantly improved the key performance indicators compared to the prior generation of the wireless communication system. A significant part of this article is the contemporary survey of the considered major applications of a smart grid that is served by 6G. In addition, the anticipated challenges and interesting future research pathways are also discussed explicitly in this article. This article serves as a valuable resource for understanding the potential of 6G wireless communication in advancing smart grid applications and addressing emerging challenges.

Planning and Development of Health Management Information Systems

Generating realistic load profiles in smart grids: An approach based on nonlinear independent component estimation (NICE) and convolutional layers

The utilization of energy consumption data is crucial for efficient operation and planning in smart grids. Nonetheless, certain obstacles need to be addressed, such as high computational costs, data security and privacy concerns, and significant expenses associated with installing smart meters across the electrical grid. To address these challenges, generating synthetic data has emerged as a promising approach, providing an opportunity to enhance energy efficiency, demand flexibility, and power grid operation. Therefore, this study proposes a nonlinear model of independent component estimation (NICE) with convolutional layers to produce realistic load profiles. This research aims to evaluate the potential of deep generative models (DGMs) through the characterization and quantification of electricity consumption profiles obtained from an actual smart grid on a university campus. The Kullback–Leibler divergence is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed model. Simulation results show that the proposed model can accurately capture the spatiotemporal correlation of actual samples, leading to synthetic load profiles that closely resemble actual profiles. The performance of the proposed NICE model is compared with a NICE model with dense layers, as well as with Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) with dense layers, and GAN with convolutional layers (cGAN), all methods previously used in the literature to generate synthetic load profiles. It was observed that the proposed NICE model with convolutional layers leads to better results. This model produces more significant similarity between the probability distributions of actual and synthetic data, in addition to a more extraordinary ability to reproduce more realistic load variability curves.

Internet of Things and smart sensors in agriculture: Scopes and challenges

Agriculture is an essential sector needed for survival of the human community. Several measures have been taken to enhance the crop production. However harsh environmental conditions and frequent pest infestation lead to the agricultural loss. In such scenario, integration of advanced technologies such as advanced sensors coupled with Internet of Things (IoT) could escalate the agricultural production and minimize the economic loss. Studies have been conducted across the world that satisfactorily demonstrated the implication of integrated IoT-smart sensors in monitoring environmental factors such as moisture, humidity, temperature, and soil composition that are critical for crop growth. Green house gases such as Carbon dioxide, Methane, etc., are also measured through automated sensors. Smart farming also enables measurement of nitrogen contents in soil that helps farmers to determine the amount of fertilizers to be used in farm lands. Some IoT-enabled equipments and unmanned aerial vehicles are useful in accurate surveillance of pest attack and associated diseases in farm vegetation. Though the smart farming has great scopes in future, it faces certain limitations related to high implementation cost, data security, and lack of sufficient digital knowledge in farmers. Special economic policies, data encryption, and digital literacy could ease IoT-enabled smart farming in future.
