Applicability Of Balanced Scorecard In Private And Public Hospitals: A Comperative Analysis

ABSTRACT Hospitals carrying on their activities within a dynamic and open systematic, have reached their today's competitive, modern place as a result of development in not only medical and health sciences but also in many different sciences. For that reason, hospitals, like every institution, business, had to use modern management applications which is open ended for outer change and development as a critical success factor. Achieving long term sustainable successes for businesses depends on measuring skill of harmony degree of their internal and external environment with current strategies. Balanced Scorecard (BSC), which is a strategical management tool prepared for this target and direction and also expressed as balanced scorecard, performance measurement and balanced score sheet in our language, also considered to have benefits in today's providing health service. In this article, hospitals and changing management concept, strategical management, balanced scorecard revealing as strategical management tool, its use, aspects and a survey work done by managers related to factors effecting its success to applicability in health foundations, and more specifically in private and public hospitals together with investigation results and advices oriented to results takes place.

A study of latent profile analysis of empathic competence and factors influencing it in nursing interns: a multicenter cross-sectional study.

Empathy, as one of the fundamental principles of nursing professionalism, plays a pivotal role in the formation and advancement of the nursing team. Nursing interns, as a reserve force within the nursing team, are of significant importance in terms of their ability to empathize. This quality is not only directly related to the degree of harmony in the nurse-patient relationship and the enhancement of patient satisfaction, but also plays a pivotal role in the promotion of the quality of nursing services to a new level. The objective of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of nursing interns' empathic abilities. To this end, we sought to examine empathic performance under different profile models and to identify the key factors influencing these profile models. The study utilized 444 nursing interns from 11 tertiary general hospitals in Inner Mongolia as research subjects. The study employed a number of research tools, including demographic characteristics, the Jefferson Scale of Empathy, and the Professional Quality of Life Scale. A latent profile model of nursing interns' empathy ability was analyzed using Mplus 8.3. The test of variability of intergroup variables was performed using the chi-square test. Finally, the influencing factors of each profile model were analyzed by unordered multi-categorical logistic regression analysis. The overall level of empathy among nursing interns was found to be low, with 45% belonging to the humanistic care group, 43% exhibiting low empathy, and 12% demonstrating high empathy. The internship duration, empathy satisfaction, secondary traumatic stress, only child, place of birth, and satisfaction with nursing were identified as factors influencing the latent profiles of empathy in nursing interns (p < 0.05). There is considerable heterogeneity in nursing interns' ability to empathize. Consequently, nursing educators and administrators should direct greater attention to interns with lower empathy and develop targeted intervention strategies based on the influences of the different underlying profiles.

Conflict elimination based on opinion dynamics in fuzzy group decision-making

The different preferences of experts in fuzzy group decision-making problems will lead to conflict, which hinders the reaching of consensus. In present conflict management techniques, local conflict among individual experts or the overall level of conflict is often concerned. This paper deals with conflict relations by opinion dynamics to resolve the whole and local conflicts among experts. This paper proposes a conflict resolution method based on opinion dynamics, which mainly includes three parts: (1) trust propagation: taking the consistency index into account in the propagation of trust, aiming at making as objective an assessment as possible of the competence and social status of experts; (2) conflict detection and elimination: reducing conflicts to an acceptable level through multiple rounds of preference adjustment according to the harmony degree; (3) alternatives selection: proposing a scoring function combining extent superiority with number superiority to score and rank the alternatives. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

The formation and functioning of various models of the world order has a deep and complex history that does not fit into the traditional chronologically consistent scheme, and these models themselves did not inherit each other, but were combined in varying degrees of harmony. The dynamics of international relations, at least in the medium term, will be determined by the trends observed over the past decades — such as inequality in the levels of economic development, the redistribution of shares of world wealth, the rivalry for global dominance between the United States, gradually losing its position as sole leader, China, Russia and other global players, and finally, the search for new tools balancing the global status quo. Expansion geopolitics will also remain the dominant trend in the short- to medium-term perspective. One of its striking manifestations is the Belt — Road Initiative, implemented by the PRC. Expansion geopolitics seems to get start most intensively in West Africa. The region, on the one hand, needs large infrastructure investments, on the other hand, — has a number of advantages that could create a production and logistics hub in it, the starting point of a project similar to the Chinese Belt — Road initiative.

Investigating the influence of human errors in master-pilot information exchange on maritime accident risk during pilotage

Pilotage-related errors have led to too many accidents in recent years, resulting in significant economic losses and disruptions in global logistics. Despite its importance, Master-Pilot Exchange (MPX) can be overlooked due to several factors. This study focuses on MPX, a standard protocol for information exchange between shipmasters and maritime pilots to ensure safe ship handling. Deficiencies in MPX procedures have been highlighted in various accident reports, emphasizing the need for improvement. This research aims to identify an optimal MPX process, evaluate potential shortcomings, assess their likelihood and severity, and analyse the human factors contributing to these deficiencies. The study utilizes a fuzzy Bayesian Network (BN) to model the MPX process and identify factors that may lead to its failure. It also employs the Success Likelihood Index Method (SLIM) approach to calculate the probability of human errors in the MPX process and identify the performance-shaping factors triggering them. The finding of the Bayesian method shows that the machinery problem and the navigational equipment problem are the two most significant root causes of MPX process failure. According to the SLIM findings, providing details of "the ship's contingency plan", and "navigational information" are the two most significant tasks for this process. Among the identified performance-shaping factors, the degree of teamwork and harmony, experience and knowledge appear to be the three most significant contributors with the highest human error probability (HEP) in mentioned tasks. This study represents a significant contribution to research on master-pilot interactions, addressing a critical aspect of maritime safety.

Applying Harmony Degree Equation and TOPSIS Combined with Entropy Weights in Surface Water Classification

This study classified surface water quality in Can Tho city using the Eutrophication index, Harmony Degree Equation (HDE), and Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Water quality data were collected in two seasons at 38 locations with 18 parameters, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), nitrite (N-NO2-), nitrate (N-NO3-), ammonium (N-NH4+), orthophosphate (P-PO43-), Fe, F-, Pb, As, Hg, coliform, chlorine-, and phosphorus-based pesticides. Water quality parameters are compared with national technical regulations on surface water quality (QCVN 08-MT:2015/BTNMT). The HDE method based on entropy weight has been applied to evaluate the comprehensive harmony degree of water quality for various purposes. In addition, the TOPSIS was also used to rank water quality at each location and determine the priority level that required mitigation and treatment solutions. Surface water quality in the study area had low dissolved oxygen content and was contaminated with TSS and coliform in both seasons. Water quality in the rainy season tends to decrease compared to the dry season. Based on HDE results, water quality in the study area in the dry season was assessed as suitable for domestic activities (needs treatment), irrigation, and navigation (HDII = 0.922), while the rainy season was suitable for irrigation and navigation (HDIII= 1.00). Moreover, surface water in the study area was in a state of potential eutrophication (EI &gt; 0), in which eutrophication was higher during the dry season. The SW25 and SW28 were the most seriously eutrophic in the dry and rainy seasons, respectively. TOPSIS analysis indicated that SW22 and SW28 need treatment measures in both seasons; furthermore, SW2-SW4 (dry season) and SW23 (rainy season) also need appropriate management and impact mitigation solutions. SW4 was affected by the most significant seasonal impacts, which have high priority in the dry season and are lowest in the rainy season. Therefore, future studies are needed to identify specific sources of variation at these locations to reduce impacts. Evaluating the Human–Water Relationship over the Past Two Decades Using the SMI-P Method across Nine Provinces along the Yellow River, China

The foundation for ensuring the sustainable utilization of natural resources and human well-being lies in achieving a harmonious balance between nature and humans. In the Yellow River basin (YRB), numerous water crises, including floods, droughts, soil erosion, and water pollution, threaten its crucial role as a significant economic belt and ecological barrier. Unfortunately, less comprehension regarding the complex human–water relationship in this region has impeded watershed water management decision-makers from identifying key priorities for intervention. Here, we selected 29 evaluation indicators, including water resources, environment, ecology, society, economy, and science and technology from three dimensions: healthy water systems, sustainable human systems, and synergy of human–water system. We applied the entropy weight method, hierarchical analysis, and Single index quantification, multiple index synthesis, and poly-criteria integration (SMI-P) methods to quantify the spatial–temporal variation of the human–water harmony degree (HWHD) in nine provinces of the YRB from 2002 to 2021. We observed a consistent increase in the HWHD across all provinces in the YRB in the past two decades. Notably, five provinces have transitioned from Complete disharmony (0 ≤ HWHD ≤ 0.2) to Nearly complete disharmony (0.2 &lt; HWHD ≤ 0.4). Additionally, the average growth rate of the downstream provinces is faster compared to those upstream. By 2021, the HWHD of upstream provinces like Sichuan and Ningxia, constrained by slower growth, became the two lowest provinces of the YRB, at 0.19 and 0.12 respectively. These findings offer valuable guidance for the region and similar areas grappling with the complex challenges of human–water conflicts, providing insights to navigate and address such dilemmas effectively.

Differences in Soundscape Perception of Plants Space in Urban Green Space and the Influence of Factors: The Case of Fuzhou, China

A soundscape can enhance the acoustic environment of urban areas and support the sustainable development of green spaces. This study is based on field research on plant information and a perception questionnaire conducted in 30 urban park sample sites in China. The study analysed the differences in soundscape perception among different plant spaces using three dimensions: sound source dominance degree (SDD), sound source harmony degree (SHD), and soundscape perception evaluation. Additionally, five physical indicators of plant space were selected to quantify the effects of physical characteristics of plant space on soundscape perception in urban green space (UGS). The results indicated that there were impacts on soundscape perception. The evaluation of soundscape perception between different types of plant spaces revealed notable differences, particularly in open and enclosed spaces. All eight indicators demonstrated significant differences, indicating that soundscape perception was influenced by the type of plant space. Additionally, there was a significant correlation between plant space and soundscape perception. The evaluation of soundscape perception in three dimensions was related to several factors, including the degree of spatial enclosure, crown density, average tree height, the proportion of trees and shrubs, and the number of tree species. The dominant factor affecting sound source dominance was found to be the degree of spatial enclosure, followed by the average height of trees. Additionally, the diversity of trees affected the overall soundscape perception.

Development of a novel predictive model for interstitial lung disease in ANCA-associated vasculitis prognostications within the Chinese population.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody vasculitis-associated interstitial lung disease (AAV-ILD) is a potentially life-threatening disease. However, very little research has been done on the condition's mortality risk. Hence, our objective is to find out the factors influencing the prognosis of AAV-ILD and employ these findings to create a nomogram model. Patients with AAV-ILD who received treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University during the period from March 1, 2011, to April 1, 2022 were selected for this research. The development of nomogram entailed a synergistic integration of univariate, Lasso, and multivariate Cox regression analyses. Internal validation ensued through bootstrap techniques involving 1000 re-sampling iterations. Discrimination and calibration were assessed utilizing Harrell's C-index, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, and calibration curve. Model performance was evaluated through integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), net reclassification improvement (NRI), and likelihood ratio test. The net benefit of the model was evaluated using decision curve analysis (DCA). A cohort comprising 192 patients was enrolled for analysis. Throughout observation period, 32.29% of the population died. Key factors such as cardiac involvement, albumin, smoking history, and age displayed substantial prognostic relevance in AAV-ILD. These factors were incorporated to craft a predictive nomogram. Impressively, the model exhibited robust performance, boasting a Harrell's C index of 0.826 and an AUC of 0.940 (95% CI 0.904-0.976). The calibration curves depicted a high degree of harmony between predicted outcomes and actual observations. Significantly enhancing discriminative ability compared to the ILD-GAP model, the nomogram was validated through the IDI, NRI, and likelihood ratio test. DCA underscored the superior predictive value of the predictive model over the ILD-GAP model. The internal validation further affirmed this efficacy, with a mean Harrell's C-index of 0.815 for the predictive model. The nomogram model can be employed to predict the prognosis of patients with AAV-ILD. Moreover, the model performance is satisfactory. In the future, external datasets could be utilized for external validation.

Malay, Akit, and Chinese ethnic languages: a study of cross-cultural communication in Indonesia

The cross-cultural communication of ethnic Malays, Akit, and Chinese in Selatpanjang City is very interesting to study because it reveals communication patterns and degrees of harmony (Dewi et al., 2023; Murni, 2021). This study of cross-cultural interactions contains a variety of problems, ranging from those that have a personal effect to those that have a social impact. This study focused on the language characteristics implied in cross-cultural communication between ethnic Malays, Akit, and Chinese in Selatpanjang City. This study aims to explain the characteristics of ethnic Malay, Akit, and Chinese by analyzing their ability to convey verbal messages and ethnic characters. This research design is in a qualitative form that aims to describe, explore, find, reveal, and explain the aspects studied holistically. Data collection is carried out through in-depth observations and interviews. The data is analyzed with steps that include reduction, categorization, description, analysis, discussion, and inference. Based on the results of the research and discussion above, several conclusions can be drawn. First, the language characteristics of the three ethnicities are influenced by their respective socio-cultural backgrounds. Second, the cross-cultural communication between the Malays, Akit, and Chinese ethnicities shows the character of their respective ethnicities.

Research and evaluation of high-quality development of pearl River Delta and urban conglomeration based on energy consumption

In the framework of “dual carbon,” the correlation between energy usage and the enduring advancement of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) urban cluster, emblematic of China’s reform and opening policies, has garnered considerable interest across different segments of society. The problem of measuring regional high-quality development is related to many indicators and variables, and the quantitative measurement of this topic is a complex systematic project. Based on the high degree of specificity of the region, we have constructed a dynamic and comprehensive measurement system of advanced development for the nine cities in the PRD region using the degree of intensive socio-economic development, the construction of a regional social security system, the structure and efficiency of energy consumption, and the degree of harmony between human beings and the natural environment as the secondary indicators. Utilizing relevant data throughout the period spanning from 2005 to 2020, encompassing the nine cities within the PRD region. The study utilized various methodologies including the kernel density estimation model, GIS spatial model, Dagum Gini coefficient method, and simulation calculations to delve into the current status and trends of advanced development in the PRD urban conglomeration. It also examined the primary barriers to high-quality development in the PRD urban conglomeration and the mechanisms underlying internal coordination development within the urban conglomeration. The research suggests that enhancing the advanced development level in the PRD urban conglomeration relies on improving energy utilization efficiency, transitioning traditional industries, and promoting the development of eco-friendly industries. These findings offer decision-makers valuable insights and practical guidance for advancing high-quality development in the PRD urban conglomeration.

Understanding Well-Being in High-Performance Coaches: A Constructivist Grounded Theory Approach

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to explore, in depth, well-being within the unique context of high-performance sports coaching. The aim was to capture the process of well-being while considering the contextual nuances and influences of high-performance coaching environments in a mid-range theory of coaches’ well-being. Design: Constructivist grounded theory served as a guiding approach for data collection and analysis. Method: Individual interviews (n = 20) were conducted with methodological rigour enhanced by originality, usefulness, resonance, and credibility. Aligned with the methodology, we utilised theoretical sampling to aid the development of individual categories. Results: Findings suggest that well-being is an integrating process between coaches’ personal values (identity) and culturally prescribed values (identity), with a degree of harmony as the overall goal. Conclusion: The mid-range theory presents a contextually bound process of coaches’ well-being. It provides a more practical insight into the area and highlights the importance of cultural considerations and competencies.

Computing the Sound–Sense Harmony: A Case Study of William Shakespeare’s Sonnets and Francis Webb’s Most Popular Poems

Poetic devices implicitly work towards inducing the reader to associate intended and expressed meaning to the sounds of the poem. In turn, sounds may be organized a priori into categories and assigned presumed meaning as suggested by traditional literary studies. To compute the degree of harmony and disharmony, I have automatically extracted the sound grids of all the sonnets by William Shakespeare and have combined them with the themes expressed by their contents. In a first experiment, sounds have been associated with lexically and semantically based sentiment analysis, obtaining an 80% of agreement. In a second experiment, sentiment analysis has been substituted by Appraisal Theory, thus obtaining a more fine-grained interpretation that combines dis-harmony with irony. The computation for Francis Webb is based on his most popular 100 poems and combines automatic semantically and lexically based sentiment analysis with sound grids. The results produce visual maps that clearly separate poems into three clusters: negative harmony, positive harmony and disharmony, where the latter instantiates the need by the poet to encompass the opposites in a desperate attempt to reconcile them. Shakespeare and Webb have been chosen to prove the applicability of the method proposed in general contexts of poetry, exhibiting the widest possible gap at all linguistic and poetic levels.

Construction of Evaluation Index System of Harmonious Labor Relations in Chinese Enterprises: An Empirical Analysis Based on Structural Equation Model

Since entering the period of economic and social transformation, China’s labor relations conflicts have entered a period of prominence and prevalence, which has brought great challenges to ensure the sustainable development of enterprises and build a harmonious society. Constructing a scientific and reasonable evaluation index system of harmonious labor relations in enterprises to measure the harmonious degree of labor relations is of great significance for improving the management level of labor relations in enterprises, promoting sustainable development of enterprises, and building a socialist harmonious society. Based on the relevant research results of labor relations and from the perspective of employees, this paper took the ERG theory (E stands for existence needs, R stands for relatedness needs, G stands for growth needs) as the basic framework of the evaluation index system, combined with the literature research method and expert consultation method to initially design evaluation index system, used SPSS 26.0 software and principal component analysis to further determine the evaluation index system structure. Based on the structural equation model, this paper used AMOS 23.0 software to carry out first-order and second-order confirmatory factor analysis for the evaluation index system and assigned objective weights to the evaluation indicators according to standardized factor analysis path coefficients. The index system, via structure confirmation and index empowerment, is used to evaluate the harmonious degree of labor relations between the two enterprises, N and Z. It is found that the evaluation index system of enterprise harmonious labor relations constructed in this paper conforms to the theoretical hypothesis model; The index system includes salary and benefits, working conditions, communication management, interpersonal relationship, individual participation and personal development six dimension-level indexes and 18 index-level indexes; The overall labor relations of companies N and Z are relatively harmonious, but the relative satisfaction of individual development indicators at the dimension level is low, and there is still room for improvement. The research results of this paper not only enrich and improve the theoretical system of labor relations to a certain extent but also provide a new perspective for the integration of enterprise harmonious labor relations and ERG theory and provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for enterprises to establish harmonious labor relations and promote sustainable development of enterprises.

The Compassion Balance: Understanding the Interrelation of Self- and Other-Compassion for Optimal Well-being

ObjectivesThis study examined the role of self-other harmony in the relations between self-compassion, other-compassion, and well-being. Past research has shown self- and other-compassion to be positively related. But we hypothesised that self-compassion can be perceived as incompatible with other-compassion, and that self-compassion and other-compassion might be uncorrelated or negatively correlated in daily life for some individuals. We termed this pattern lack of self-other harmony in compassion and hypothesised that it would undermine the benefits of compassion.MethodUsing an experience sampling method in patients (n=154) with a variety of diagnoses, we measured self-compassion, other-compassion, life-satisfaction, mood, and contextual variables six times per day for 42 time points.ResultsFor most participants, self-compassion was positively associated with other-compassion. However, there was substantial heterogeneity in this effect. The degree of self-other harmony moderated the link between compassion directed towards self or other and well-being. Higher levels of compassion were associated with higher levels of well-being, but only for those who experienced the harmony. When the two forms of compassion were not in harmony, levels of self/other-compassion were largely unrelated to well-being.ConclusionsThe findings emphasise the importance of personalised compassion interventions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Increasing self-compassion or other-compassion is likely to improve well-being for most people. However, for a minority lacking the self-other harmony, it may be necessary to assess their interpretation of self- and other-compassion, then work with them to promote the compassion balance optimal for their well-being.PreregistrationThis study is not preregistered.

Vowel Phonotactics in Modern Korean Phonology: A Corpus-Based Approach

Ideophones are believed to exhibit distinct phonotactic patterns compared to regular language, in their expressiveness. Vowel harmony can be observed in ideophones in Modern Korean. However, over time, Korean has gradually lost its regular vowel harmony process, due to the influx of foreign words, especially from Chinese, and historical sound changes like the vowel shift of /ɔ/ to different vowel types. Previous studies have mainly focused on the vowel patterns of ideophones without necessarily comparing the degree of vowel harmony between ideophones and other lexical strata. This lack of comparison makes it challenging to assess the level of corruption in vowel harmony specifically within ideophones, relative to other components of the lexicon. To address this gap, this paper examines vowel patterns extracted from the online dictionary of Korean, developed by the National Institute of the Korean Language (NIKL) with contributions from anonymous users and specialists. The analysis specifically explores vowel patterns across lexical items with varying syllable lengths, focusing on the lexical stratum, adverbial parts of speech, and the semantic meaning of the adverbials. This examination aims to assess the regularity of vowel sequencing and determine the extent of purity in vowel harmony patterns. The quantitative analysis of the compiled dictionary provides valuable insights into the degree of irregular phonotactics and its relationship to sound symbolism in Modern Korean.

This study is concerned with the issue of strategic diagnosis of the degree of harmony of business-architecture of the industrial enterprise. To this end, a comparison of the available methodological approaches to the analy-sis of business architecture was undertaken, which revealed that in practice such parameter of business archi-tecture (and in general the whole enterprise) is not taken into account as achieving harmonious relations in the internal and external environment. The following research methods were used: the method of theoretical gen-eralization and comparison, logical, scientific abstraction, methods of induction and deduction, methods of grouping and generalization, study of scientific literature sources. The aims of the study are: justification of stra-tegic diagnosis use for determining the degree of harmony of business-architecture of the industrial enterprise, as well as disclosure of the essence of the methodology of its implementation. The methodology presented by the authors has been tested at a number of industrial enterprises, the results of which are presented in this arti-cle. Based on the results of the diagnostics, recommendations are proposed to increase the degree of harmony of the business architecture of the enterprises under study.

Assessment of Ecological Benefits of Urban Green Spaces in Nanjing City, China, Based on the Entropy Method and the Coupling Harmonious Degree Model

Urban green spaces (UGSs) are an important spatial carrier for carbon sequestration in the national land space. The urban ecosystem is a highly harmonious composite ecosystem of nature, society, and the economy. Therefore, this study constructed an evaluation system of the UGS ecological benefit based on two subsystems–the natural environment and the social economy–in order to quantitatively evaluate the construction level of the UGS ecological benefit in Nanjing City and to reveal its temporal evolution characteristics. The entropy method was applied to assess the ecological benefits of UGSs in Nanjing City, China, from 2011 to 2020. The coupling harmonious degree model was utilized to analyze the dynamic coordination relations among subsystems. The Robust regression analysis was used to verify the evaluation results. The results showed that: (i) Between 2011 and 2020, UGS ecological benefits in Nanjing City exhibited a substantial and consistent upward trend. (ii) Between 2011 and 2020, the coupling harmonious degree among the subsystems of UGS ecological benefits in Nanjing City showed an overall rising trend of fluctuation. With the enhancing of the coupling harmonious degree among the subsystems of UGSs, the ecological benefit of UGSs will be significantly improved. (iii) The comprehensive evaluation score of the social and economic subsystem of UGS in Nanjing City was higher than that of the natural environment subsystem; this highlights the significant constraints posed by the natural environment on the construction of UGSs in Nanjing City. The research conclusion provides a decision basis for realizing the collaborative optimization of the natural environment and the social economy in Nanjing City and further promotes the sustainable development of the UGS ecological environment.

Research on the construction of a human-water harmony model in the Yellow River Basin

Abstract Human-water harmony in the Yellow River Basin has an important influence on promoting ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. This paper explores the degree of harmony between humans and water in the provinces of the Yellow River Basin. Based on the provincial-level data of nine provinces from 2001 to 2020, a human-water harmonious coupling coordination degree model was constructed, and the spatial and temporal analysis of the coupling coordination characteristics of nine provinces was carried out utilizing ArcGIS software. The results revealed that: (1) From the point of view of human-water harmony, from 2001 to 2020, China's human-water relationship was on the rise, from reluctant coupling coordination to good coupling coordination. (2) Qinghai, Gansu, and Sichuan provinces have the most significant increase in human-water harmony, from on the verge of a dysfunctional decline to quality coupling coordination. (3) From 2001 to 2011, the human system's comprehensive index was inferior to that of the water system's comprehensive index. The poet, Saleh Omer Ferwana is one of the loyalist poets who completely performed their roles. He was among loyal people to his religion, nation, and the bleed of martyrs. He used the power of words as a weapon to throw away the enemies of humanity. So, the study tackles the language used in Ferwana's collection of poems entitled "Palestinian vocabulary". The researchers followed the steps of scientific research to reach useful results. The study was divided into two parts. Then, every part was subdivided into two sections. The study introduced the following results: the poet's collection of poems includes diverse types of linguistic methods, especially the negation method which is repeatedly used. This reflects the poet's desire to expel the occupier from the land. Moreover, the study stresses the vitality of the style and structure which reflects the circumstances of our nation. It also reflects the high degree of harmony between the linguistic environment of the collection and the semantic message.
