Study on the Management of Chinese College Students Based on the Perspective of Career Planning

This dissertation centers on the theoretical discussion and countermeasure suggestions on career planning and employment guidance for Chinese college students. Through a comprehensive literature review, it analyzes the challenges faced by Chinese college students in the process of career planning, explores the problems of the existing career guidance model, and proposes effective management countermeasures. The study finds that Chinese college students' career planning is influenced by various factors, including individual quality, school education, and social environment. In order to better assist college students in their career planning, this paper puts forward a series of suggestions, covering the aspects of personal quality cultivation, school education reform, and improvement of the career guidance system, with a view to providing useful theoretical references and practical guidance for Chinese college students' career planning.

Exploring the diversified teaching mode of vocal singing in colleges and universities by integrating audio-visual and multi-sensory senses

Abstract In this paper, starting from the fusion of audio-visual multisensory vocal music feature representation, the RAE algorithm is used to represent the music lyrics text in vocal singing teaching. Due to the heterogeneity of the feature space of the audio modality and the lyrics modality, which makes it exceptionally tricky to directly mine the correlation between these two modalities, it is necessary to optimize the research through the fusion of the audio and the textual modality for the representation of the implicit space of the music. According to the SVM’s optimal classification, hyperplane is not limited by the data dimension. Combined with the kernel function parameters and emotional LFSM fusion, a visual multisensory vocal singing teaching emotion model based on SVM is constructed. The parameter environment and dataset are selected, and the comparison method and evaluation criteria are determined to analyze emotional research on vocal singing teaching in colleges and universities. The results show that in terms of model performance, the SVM model in this paper is 8.5% higher than model 6, reaching the highest 0.873, with stronger emotion extraction and recognition ability, greatly improving the emotion classification results of the model. The multimedia type of audio singing material is the least helpful for expression and physical performance in vocal singing teaching, with a total value of 67. This study provides a more comprehensive understanding of the emotional changes of students in teaching activities so as to identify problems, improve and optimize them, and give more students guidance and support in performing vocal singing.

Extracurriculars are guidance, counseling, interests, abilities and potential of students which are held outside of learning hours carried out by the teacher. Schools provide a forum for extracurricular activities as a form of channeling interests, skills and creativity. Extracurricular activities in elementary schools can have a positive impact on students within the school environment, such as increasing students' creativity, improving students' character and training students' social interactions within the school environment. The method used in this research is the literature review method. Based on the type of data collected from various sources to form this article. The library study method is a method used to collect data by understanding the theories of various journals, books and articles that are interconnected in research.

Children are basically the next generation of the nation who should ideally grow and develop naturally according to their age, and be under the care and protection of parents, society and the state. In reality, there are children who commit criminal acts, such as theft, sexual abuse and narcotics. Punishment of children who commit criminal acts is carried out by the Special Child Development Institute as an effort to prevent repetition of criminal acts. The problem in this research is: How is the guidance of correctional students as an effort to prevent the recurrence of criminal acts at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Bandar Lampung and why are there inhibiting factors in the guidance of correctional students as an effort to prevent the repetition of criminal acts at the Special Development Institution Class II children from Bandar Lampung? The problem approach used in this research is empirical juridical. The data type consists of primary data and secondary data. Data collection through literature studies and field studies. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The results of this research show: Guidance for correctional students as an effort to prevent repetition of criminal acts at LPKA Class II Bandar Lampung is carried out in the coaching stages, namely initial coaching, advanced coaching and final coaching. Types of coaching include personality coaching (fostering religious awareness and fostering national and state awareness, fostering legal awareness and fostering intellectual abilities) as well as fostering independence. Factors that hinder coaching consist of statutory factors, namely the absence of technical instructions regarding coaching for children. crime, law enforcement factors, namely the quantity of guidance for correctional students, facilities and facilities factors, namely the limited means and facilities needed to carry out guidance, community factors, namely the negative attitude of the community towards former criminal children who have been released and returned to public

Belajar Kosa Kata Bahasa Inggris Melalui Lagu Dengan Aktivitas Stereophonic Styrofoam: SD IT Nurul Fikri Palangka Raya

The initiative "FUN ENGLISH LISTENING FOR KIDS" at SD IT Nurul Fikri aims to enhance the English language proficiency of young learners through innovative methods. This project utilizes stereophonic styrofoam to introduce and reinforce English vocabulary among elementary school students. Under the guidance of fifth-semester students from the English Language Teaching Program at IAIN Palangka Raya, the project involves stages of introducing vocabulary, using styrofoam to associate sounds with vocabulary, and interactive sessions. This engaging learning method has successfully improved the English skills of elementary students at SD IT Nurul Fikri, demonstrating the potential of creative methods in language education.

Implementasi Manajemen Layanan Khusus Bimbingan dan Konseling di Sekolah Dasar

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of special guidance service management at SD Negeri 234 Gresik. This type of research is qualitative and uses interview methods with school principals, supervisors and class teachers. The findings show that the implementation of special service management in schools has not been successful. There are several problems such as lack of planning, weak organization, lack of strong mobilization, and lack of control. This means that the support and advice provided may not be optimal. Schools are encouraged to improve planning, organization, mobilization and management to improve the quality of guidance and counseling services for students.

Students Perspectives on the Guidance and Counselling Units in the School System

This study aims to investigate the student's perspectives towards the School Guidance and Counselling Unit. School Guidance and Counselling Units were established in all government schools with the assistance of the Ministry of Education through the applications recommended by circulars no 16/2011and 6/2013. Due to the students' emerging psychological and behavioral problems, there was a growing interest in enhancing the School Guidance and Counselling Service. The research objectives were to investigate the student's awareness about the School Guidance and Counselling Unit, student's attitudes towards the School Guidance and Counselling Unit, perception of the students towards the School Guidance and Counselling Unit, and identify the steps to increase the function of the unit. A questionnaire survey was administered under the mixed- method research design, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten purposively selected students. Data analysis was done by using quantitative and qualitative methods. Findings indicate that most of the students are unaware of the services provided by the School Guidance and Counselling Unit. Students positively perceive that seeking help from the unit is beneficial. However, most students believe that seeking guidance and counselling services consumes much time, and the unit does not encourage one to seek counselling services. It was evident that whether schools have implemented the recommendations addressed via circulars, the function of the school guidance and counselling service is not up to the desired level. Therefore, it is essential to circulate a proper monitoring system towards the school guidance and the counselling center. Needed utilities and resources should provide for the proper function of the Student Guidance and Counselling Unit within the school level with the assistance of the ministry of education.

Students as teachers: A study of UK undergraduate music students’ experiences and perceptions of instrumental and singing teaching

This research, carried out between 2020 and 2021, involves an online questionnaire and individual interviews with undergraduate music students at universities and conservatoires in the UK, to examine student experiences of receiving and delivering instrumental and singing tuition. There is no regulation of instrumental teaching in the UK, and individuals are able to teach without formal training or qualification. Existing literature suggests that musicians often begin teaching while still in education, though there is limited research concerning the experience of this process. This research confirms that students are involved in delivering instrumental and singing lessons before and during their undergraduate studies, often beginning with peer learning initiatives in school or ‘helping’ family and friends. The study identifies positive perceptions of the role of teaching in portfolio careers in music and highlights the influence of both instrumental teachers and classroom music teachers in shaping understandings and providing guidance and opportunities for students.

Implications of Student Loan and Finance Management Skills for Undergraduate Students

As the Presidential elections in 2024 are approaching, public opinions and politicians’ statements about student loans are presented more often. To curb educational borrowing, the entire society is involved. Institutions of higher education are highly engaged in securing possible funds for scholarships and grants to provide their students with the best and most efficient education. States offer scholarships, and students are becoming more selective about their institution, study major, and lifestyle choices during their undergraduate studies. Many borrowers lack a clear understanding of loan terms and finance management skills. This study was conducted to determine the money management skills of undergraduates, their perceived amount of educational loans anticipated upon graduation, and its impact on their academic performance. A specifically designed survey instrument was administered to a total of 565 participants who were students at one of the US HBCUs in the North-Eastern region of the United States. The results revealed significant race differences in the perceived expected amount of debt upon graduation. The study further indicates a heightened requirement for academic guidance for students whose undergraduate GPAs fall within the range of 2.00 to 3.00, aiming to enhance their retention until graduation within the present institution. Student athletes expressed a significantly higher financial selfefficacy than non-athletes.

Research on the Impact of China's "Double Reduction" Policy on the Self-discipline of Primary School Students' Extracurricular Learning

With the intensification of social development and educational competition, the extracurricular learning pressure on Chinese primary school students continues to increase, and excessive after-school homework and extracurricular tutoring classes make the learning burden of students increasingly heavy. To improve this situation, the Chinese government has introduced a "double reduction" policy, which aims to reduce the burden of homework and extracurricular training for primary school students, so that they can have more time and energy to participate in other activities that are beneficial to physical and mental development. The introduction of this policy has undoubtedly brought new possibilities for the extracurricular learning methods of Chinese primary school students and also posed new challenges to their learning self-discipline. Therefore, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the impact of the "double reduction" policy on the self-discipline of primary school students' extracurricular learning.Based on the background of the double reduction policy, this article analyzes the impact it has on the self-discipline of extracurricular learning of primary school students, to achieve the ultimate goal of this study. Through in-depth interviews with parents and teachers, this study understands their cognition and feelings about the "double reduction" policy and explores the impact of the policy on their daily study and life. In general, through an in-depth discussion of the impact of the "double reduction" policy on the self-discipline of primary school students' extracurricular learning, this study hopes to provide valuable references and suggestions for the management and guidance of primary school students' extracurricular learning.

Integration of Ideological and Political Curriculum into Botany Experimental Teaching in Agricultural and Forestry Colleges

Ideological and political education is an important direction of curriculum reform, which aims to explore the organic combination of ideological and political elements and professional knowledge in the teaching process of professional courses, and enhance the guidance of students’ ideological education while teaching knowledge. Botany experiments are an important part of the botany courses in agricultural and forestry colleges. This article takes the botany experimental courses as an example to explore the necessity, methods, and processes of implementing ideological and political education in the botany experimental courses, and to explore the practical teaching of botany experiments. The potential ideological and political elements existing in the course were excavated, and the results of integrating ideological and political education in the botany experimental course were summarized, which provided a guideline for the better implementation of ideological and political education in the botany experimental course.

The aim of this research is to identify concrete strategies to increase parent participation in school activities in the educational process. Examining various approaches used by educational institutions to interact and collaborate with parents. The data collection techniques used by the author are observation and interviews. The interview informants were the school principal, Deputy Head of Curriculum and teachers. The data analysis used uses Miles and Huberman analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification. This research uses several data validity techniques, namely triangulation, peer depriving (talking with other people). The results of research on public relations strategies in improving educational services are. steps taken with a sociological approach, Social Responsibility Strategy, Cooperation Strategy, Coordinative and Integrative Strategy. By taking several steps, including forming a school committee, carrying out open communication between the school and parents, holding parent and teacher meetings, using digital tools as a communication tool, workshops and training. The form of educational services provided at MA Miftahul Ulum is the implementation of a curriculum that meets needs, teaching and learning activities, evaluation and assessment, guidance and counseling for students, implementation of extracurricular activities, moral and citizenship education, character development. The level of service provided by MA Miftahul Ulum and the level of satisfaction of students and parents are very high

The Feasibility of Socratic Teaching in Theory and Practice

There have been extensive research on Socratic teaching in various subject areas in China, most of which are about the application of Socratic method in teaching and its enlightenment to the teaching classroom. Many authors have studied Socratic teaching through experiments and achieved good results. This paper reviews the theoretical and practical feasibility of Socratic classroom teaching in different fields. This paper introduces several common teaching methods, such as the lecturing teaching method, inquiry teaching method, practice teaching method and example teaching method. There are some similarities and differences between Socratic teaching method and these common teaching methods. Compared with these common teaching methods, the Socratic teaching method is an innovation in teaching. Some theoretical and experimental arguments can be obtained from the literature to prove that Socratic teaching is feasible in both theory and practice. Socratic teaching is of great significance to the education of most scholars, who can get some experience from it. Through the experience of Socratic teaching mode in the classroom, this study hopes to inspire teachers to be student-centered and pay attention to the guidance of students in teaching rather than indoctrination.

Student learning performance prediction based on online behavior: an empirical study during the COVID-19 pandemic

In the context of the COVID-19 global pandemic, highly intense and frequent online teaching has leapt to be one of the dominant learning patterns and become an ordinary situation in university teaching practices. In recent years, progress in feature engineering and machine learning has made it possible for more effective educational data mining, which in turn has enhanced the performance of intelligent learning models. However, the potential impact of increasing and varying features on online instruction in this new situation makes it unclear whether the existing related findings and results are practical for teachers. In this article, we use various state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to predict students’ performance. Based on the validation of the rationality of the built models, the importance of features under different feature selection techniques are calculated separately for the datasets of two groups and compared with the features before and at the beginning of the pandemic. The results show that in the current new state of highly intense online learning, without considering student information such as demographic information, campus attributes (administrative class and teaching class) and learning behavior (completion of online learning tasks and stage tests) these dynamic features are more likely to discriminate students’ academic performances, which deserves more attention than demographics for teachers in the guidance of students’ learning. In addition, it is suggested that further improvements and refinements should be made to the existing features, such as classifying features more precisely and expanding in these feature categories, and taking into account the statistics about students’ in-class performances as well as their subjective understanding of what they have learned. Our findings are in line with the new situation under the pandemic and provide more implications to teachers’ teaching guidance.

Supervision and Management of Teaching Quality of College Teachers in H University

Amid the dynamic landscape of higher education, this study investigates the supervision and management of teaching quality at H University through qualitative interviews and thematic analysis. The research identifies four best practices: well-designed classroom content, student leadership in learning activities, guidance for students' quality education, and cultivation of teachers. These resonate with existing literature, highlighting comprehensive approaches to enhancing teaching quality. Concurrently, the study uncovers three significant challenges: resistance to change, inadequate teaching quality evaluation systems, and insufficient incentives for teachers. These challenges align with prior research, underlining critical areas that hinder effective teaching quality management. To address these issues, the study offers tailored recommendations for H University, including the implementation of targeted professional development, robust evaluation mechanisms, meaningful incentives, student-centered strategies, mentorship programs, technology integration, and adept change management. By acting upon these suggestions, the institution can foster a culture of teaching excellence, enriching the educational experiences of both educators and students.

For Chinese Students Studying Abroad: A Study on the Influence of Overseas Study Experience on Returning Home to Find a Job

China's economic progress has been meteoric in recent years, leading numerous students to pursue their academic majors overseas. The objective of this article is to investigate the influence of international study experiences on the career prospects of Chinese students upon their return, encapsulating both the beneficial and detrimental effects. This research aims to provide robust guidance for Chinese students contemplating international study. Utilizing extensive data and market research, this paper initially elucidates the contemporary circumstances of Chinese international students returning home to seek employment. Subsequently, it delves into the various pros and cons of an international study experience with respect to job hunting, amalgamating existing data and literature. Lastly, detailed interviews with two returnee students shed light on their job-hunting experiences. This research shows that learning abroad cannot be categorized as univocal good or bad; the benefits of studying abroad come with accompanying challenges. The most important thing is to choose the path that suits students based on their circumstances rather than follow popular trends.

GENESIS-Guidance, Education, Networking, and Empowerment-based Smart Initiative for Students research in health care: A research modeling experience from a newly established medical college.

The importance of undergraduate medical research has been undermined in Indian medical education. Various studies show there is a drastic difference between the research output of Indian medical graduates in comparison to Western counterparts. With all the challenges identified, a student-oriented research committee was formed -Guidance, Education, Networking, and Empowerment-based Smart Initiative for Students (GENESIS) research in health care - A research modeling experience from a newly established medical college. The structure was established to serve the needs of students in the field of research. Problems were identified with the help of a survey, and steps were taken to address the issues through its 4-pronged strategy that includes conducting regular journal clubs. Journal clubs follow a peer-to-peer learning strategy and provide an open stage for discussion. Second, a research tracker which helps in increasing the sustainability of a research project. The third strategy includes a research live matchmaker which helps in bridging the gap between the students and the faculties. Lastly, involving alumni in the initiative will help students get guidance and acts as a gateway to opportunities at the national level. For maintaining the integrity and sustainability of the initiative, the involvement of students from all the batches is made sure. Inputs from faculties and administration are taken on a regular basis. Interinstitutional collaborations and regular assessment and evaluation are done to ensure positive outcomes. With its focus on peer-to-peer mentoring and attempt to eliminate the barriers for research enthusiasts, GENESIS has the potential to make a lasting impact in promoting research culture in colleges.

Formation of professional direction motives of secondary education students in physics lessons in senior classes

The article deals with the issues related to the formation of motives for the professional orientation of secondary school students in the course of studying physics. The main forms and ways of implementing the principle of practical orientation in the study of academic subjects in general secondary education institutions are identified: students are told about all the features of their future activities, the best ways to get involved in this profession, etc.; young people who have not made their choice are introduced to a list of promising professions, and forms of professional orientation are highlighted in physics lessons and in extracurricular activities.It is proved that vocational guidance work at school should be based on classical and modern developments in the segment of vocational guidance of youth and students. It has been found that the motives of professional orientation in high school physics lessons, which include questions about industrial objects, have significant potential for this.It is determined that the task of forming the motivation of high school students to get acquainted with engineering and high-tech working professions will contribute to the future choice of professional activity.It is emphasized that it is important to build the professional orientation of students, which is realized through the general natural and physical components, respectively, taking into account the age characteristics of students, the location of the region, based on the principle of systematicity.It is noted that the most effective means of career guidance work with students is to provide information about professions in the form of thematic conversations, excursions to production facilities, work with illustrations and textbook material during physics lessons.It is determined that the main task of forming motives for students to get acquainted with future professions is to reveal their various facets: to tell not only about the labor functions of an employee, but also to show the place of work, learning environment, familiarize them with modern equipment and leisure activities, etc.

Character Development through Student Guidance and Counseling at School

Parental Influence on Career Choices of Navrongo Senior High School Students in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality

This study examined parental influence on the career choices of Navrongo Senior High School students in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality. The study sought to assess parental factors that contribute to the career choice of Navrongo Senior High School students in the Kasena Nankana Municipality, examine the effects of parental influence on the career choice of their children in Navrongo Senior High School, and find out the strategies that Navrongo Senior High School can adopt to assist students make informed career choice. Participants included in this study were 150 senior high school students. Stratified and simple random sampling techniques were used to select the sample size. Both open-ended and closed Likert Scale questionnaires were used for data collection. Percentages, bar charts, pie charts, and standard deviations were used to present the results. The result indicated that parents, in one way or the other, do influence their children in choosing careers. From the study, the respondents believed that when parents choose careers for their children, they do not enjoy their lifelong vocation. It was therefore recommended that the school solicit parents’ views when organizing career guidance for students, and parents should also be made aware of the negative consequences of their actions when they impose their opinions on their children when planning for their careers. Again, career programs should be introduced in Senior High Schools to assist students in making appropriate career choices.
