Application of Comprehensive Evaluation of the Airport Site Selection

The most important step of building a new airport is site selection. Before selecting the new airport site, Airport planners should study many factors and rank the various sites. In fact, airport site selection is a complex multi-objective optimization problem, which involves a variety of factors. Taking “the civil airport construction and management requirements” as a foundation, the paper has screened and expanded the influence factors of selecting the civil airport site and constructed site appraisal system, and put forward the DAGF model，which constructed Evaluation System by improved Delphi method, obtained weighted matrix by AHP, analyzed experts score by gray correlation and got evaluation findings by Fuzzy evaluating. Meanwhile the paper has compiled the procedure of the computation process with MATLAB. Finally the research results has been applied to the selecting site of the second Capital airport in practice and obtained the satisfactory result. Therefore the paper constructed the comprehensive evaluation model, which provides the effective method for selecting the civil airport site, and makes the site selection more scientific, more reasonable and simpler. It has the extremely important reference significance and the instructional function to select the optimal airport site.

Research on Grey Evaluation for the Port Security and Risk

This paper puts forward the normal system for evaluating the port security and risk according to the human-machine-environment theory of system, then using Grey system and AHP designs the specific evaluation model to evaluate the port security and risk .An example is given to show the feasibility of the model.

Grey Relational Synthetic Evaluation of Urban Competitive Power Influencing Factors of the Urban Agglomeration on the West Side of Taiwan Straits

The study of urban competitive power of the urban agglomeration on the west side of Taiwan Straits has both theoretical and practical significance. According to constructing index system of evaluating and using grey relational synthetic evaluation, the assessment and comparison are progressed by the urban competitive power of the urban agglomeration on the west side of Taiwan Straits. It is found that during the seven factors which influence urban competitive power of the urban agglomeration on the west side of Taiwan Straits, the influencing effect from strong to weak sorting is Government Power, Science and Education Power, Economic Power, Development Level, Financial Power, City Service and Industrial Structure. Meanwhile, against the existing factors, some suggestions of the competitive power upgrade will be pointed out.

The Evaluating Method for Module Partition Schemes of Complex Product Systems

Module partition of Complex product system (CoPS) usually produces a number of schemes, and how to choose the best one amongst the themes is very important. In this research, according to the features of CoPS, the multi-level evaluation indexes are built based on the DFX (design for X) method, which can evaluate the scheme comprehensively. The weight of indexes are obtained with the method of analytical network process. Then, the multi-level grey fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is proposed to make the well-chosen decision based on the DFX multi-objective evaluation model. The evaluation method are illustrated using the partition schemes of the experiment platform of a bevel gearbox.

Comprehensive Evaluation Model of Grey Fuzzy on Oilfield Development Program

Based on the characteristic of oilfield development programs, we comprehensive analyzed the influence of development and economical factors on development program, and constructed a comparative evaluation factors system of oilfield development program. In addition, based on the comparative analysis of grey theory and fuzzy evaluation, a grey-fuzzy appraisal method was set up and successfully applied to the evaluation of oilfield development programs. Grey theory was used to describe the factors that are difficult to quantification, and the analytic hierarchy process was used to confirm the appraisal factor’s weight and grey level. Furthermore, we chose eight development programs of an oilfield as our evaluation target and get an option sequence by using the grey-fuzzy method. The result shows that, grey-fuzzy methods have more advantage than fuzzy method in the evaluation of oilfield development programs.

Development of a Robotic System to Examine Outer Cylinder of Pipes in Steam Generators

The examination of outer cylinder of pipes in steam generators is difficult to fulfill due to confined space. A robotic system has been developed to do the job. The robot contains a base, four rotary balls, a slide guide, two steppers, a DC motor, a positioning mechanism, a synchromesh belt mechanism, a longitudinal mobile platform, an extending and retracting mechanism, a rotary platform and a micro vehicle. The positioning mechanism can locate and fix the robot efficiently. The motion of the robot consists of longitudinal motion and transverse motion. The extending and retracting mechanism can push and pull the micro vehicle carrying a micro CMOS camera. The pose of the camera mounted on the movable platform of a micro 3-CSR parallel mechanism can be adjusted by 3 bias-two-way SMA actuators. The control system consists of two levels of computers. The user interface was developed with VB. Fuzzy control method is utilized to control the motion of the longitudinal mobile platform. Grey evaluation method is applied to evaluate the status of checked areas according to obtained images. Experiment results indicate that the robot has met the needs of examination.

The Effect of Laser Processed Nano-SiC-Ni Metal Ceramic on the Surface Properties of the Iron-Based Material

In this article, we have carried out the Ni based self fluxing alloy powder and studied the effect on the laser alloying of 45steel layer which contains different weight percentage of nano-SiC powders. Experimental results show that the alloy layer which obtained by the optimized laser alloying process parameters (I = 38A, V = 100 mm / min, Δf=10mm, Ar gas protection) is smoothness, fineness, hardness and have a good metallurgical bonding. The test of tribological wear experiments shows that the wear capability of Ni-based powder made of laser alloyed layer is more excellent than that of the hardened 40Cr steel. And the tribological wear capability of the Ni-based alloy with SiC made of laser alloyed layer has been further improved. In the same process conditions, the addition of 20% nano-SiC is the best.Salt spray test shows that both the Ni and Ni/SiC composite coatings' corrosion is much stronger than that of the 45steel substrate. But with the added amount of nano-SiC increased the resistance of alloying layer corrosion decreased slightly. Finally, this paper use Grey comprehensive evaluation model to value the quality of the alloy layer. The evaluation vector shows that the laser alloyed layer which added 20% SiC has optimal overall performance.

Developing regional cooperation strategies by multi-criteria decision making approaches

Based on the regional cooperation policy outlined in the National Land Plan of Japan, this study developed a regional cooperation planning model (RCPM) for use by regional planners and researchers. RCPM includes two sub-models. The first sub-model is the local service evaluation model (LSEM), which employs grey multiple criteria evaluation to assess local services for individual cities, towns and villages. The second sub-model is the cooperative partner assignment model (CPAM), which applies grey multiple objective 0–1 programming to determine optimal cooperative partners for individual cities, towns and villages. Applying RCPM to eastern Taiwan yielded the following conclusions. First, the current division of Living Perimeters in the Eastern Taiwan Region should be adjusted according to the analytical results presented in this study to reach further benefits of cooperation. Second, since RCPM uses grey numbers to display input data and research findings, it provides planning flexibility and resolves uncertainties in practical planning. Finally, the modeling results contribute to cooperative strategy development among neighboring areas in an underdeveloped region.

Study on Evaluation of Earthquake Evacuation Capacity in Village Based on Multi-level Grey Evaluation

The earthquake evacuation capacity in village is the ability measuring whether the residents can be safely evacuated during the earthquake and life can be effectively guaranteed after the earthquake. At present, the evaluation of earthquake evacuation capacity is short of effective methods in earthquake engineering, which not only affect the earthquake disaster prevention function of all kinds of resources, but also influence the refuge after the earthquake. Focusing on the earthquake evacuation capacity in village, the main influencing factors are discussed and an evaluation index system is established. By using AHP adopting index scale and multi-level grey evaluation, a methods is presented. An illustration is provided to prove that the method is feasible.

Multihierarchical Gray Evaluation Method to Assess Building Energy Conservation

The building sector is one of the fastest growing in terms of energy consumption. To guarantee energy savings and to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, building energy conservation assessment is an important option. A building energy conservation assessment will strongly promote development of the building’s thermal characteristics and application of new energy conservation technologies and products. Because of the unquantifiable and incomplete information of evaluation criteria, a multihierarchical gray evaluation methodology is proposed for building energy conservation assessment. To determine the weights of the factors, a linear combination weighting method combining an analytic hierarchical process (AHP) method and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method is proposed. The integrated assessment results and the integrated assessment values are calculated, and a building energy conservation star is proposed and determined. Then, an example is used to illustrate the proposed approach and the proposed method is validated. The results demonstrate the engineering practicability and effectiveness of this proposed method.

Grey-Fuzzy Comprehensive Judgment of the Debt Risk of Highway Project

Considering the characteristics of fuzziness, gray and dynamic of the debt risks in highway project, build a method of grey fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. According to the characteristics of project on financing for development and operational, establish the corresponding debt risk subsets. It not only can evaluation the risk of different stages, also can comprehensive evaluation the risk of the whole project, so that the investors can according to the evaluation value of general risk and each stage to targeted for prevention and control.

Gray Clustering Evaluation Method of MIE on Combinative Weight-Fixing

The research on evaluation method of manufacturing enteraprise informatization(MEI) is the core of informatization evaluation system. According to the characters of MEI, a gray clustering evaluation method on combinative weight-fixing is brought forward . In the way to fix the index weights, firstly the advantages and disadvantages of the subjective and objective weight-fixing method are analyzed compositively. Then the subjective weights are gained from Analytical Hierchy Process(AHP) method and the objective weights from Gray Relating Analyses(GRA) method. Last the final indexs’ weights are gained from the combinative weight-fixing method based on the minimum error of optimizing project, which takes in the full advantages of the two methodes. Finally the informatization construction process is devided into certain Gray Types, and the informatization benefits are calculated with Gray Clustering method based on Whiten Function. In the end Three enterprises are chosen to analyze with gray clustering evaluation method on combinative weight-fixing.

Grey Evaluation Method on Security Risk Assessment of Power Information System

As information technology is widely used in electric power field, security risks penetrate into all aspects of electricity production and operation, meanwhile, complexity of electric power information system make it's very difficult to guard against security risk. Information security risk assessment is the foundation and the precondition of information system security. In this paper, combining long-term power information security supervision practice, we give a multi - hierarchy and multi - attribute index system of information security risk evaluation, and point out these indexes are characterized with grey, fuzzy and difficult to quantify. Then, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the theory of grey system are introduced in setting up a comprehensive evaluation model, we obtain the final score using the information fusion of different experts. Additionally, an application example is used to illustrate the availability of the proposed evaluation method. The result shows that grey evaluation which combines advantages of the qualitative and quantitative methods can be applied to risk evaluate of information system more accurately and scientifically. Meanwhile the evaluation results can help supervisors judge which is the necessity to improve.

Evaluation of Regional Water Utilization Level Based on Set Pair Analysis

Water resources are the foundation that mankind depends on for his existence and development. In order to realize the sustainable development of the society and economy, we must give more consideration to the comprehensive evaluation about regional water utilization level. The method of Set Pair Analysis (SPA) is used to study the relationship between certainty and uncertainty among the objective things and its core is to compute the connection degree among the things. The paper puts forward a new method based on SPA to build the evaluation standards according to the actual conditions of regional water utilization. Employing this new method, the paper studies the water utilization level of the area along the lower Yellow River quantitatively, and compares the evaluated results with the results from multi-hierarchy grey relation comprehensive evaluation model (MGRCEM). The comparison shows that the overall results from the SPA method are consistent with those from MGRCEM. Moreover, the SPA method has many advantages such as convenient and simple computation, objective and reasonable evaluation results and so on. The applied method can serve as a new approach for water utilization studies, and the evaluation standards built in the paper can solve some evaluation problems of regional water utilization level effectively.

Gray Chaos Evaluation Model for Prediction of Rolling Bearing Friction Torque

AbstractThe gray chaos evaluation model composed of the gray relation method, the adding-weight one-rank local-region method, and the gray bootstrap fusion method is proposed to predict the time series of the rolling bearing friction torque under the condition of an unknown probability distribution. First, the optimum embedding dimension and the optimum delay time for the phase space reconstruction are synchronously calculated with the gray relation method. Second, the forecasting values at different embedding dimensions and time delays, respectively, near the optimum embedding dimension and the optimum delay time are obtained via the adding-weight one-rank local-region method, the chaos forecasting method for short. Lastly, the true value and the variation domain are deduced by the gray bootstrap fusion method. It is found that the rolling bearing friction torque possesses chaotic characteristics. The experimental investigation on the friction torque of the rolling bearing for space applications shows that the gray chaos evaluation model can effectively assess the predicted true value, with more reliable predicted results than can be achieved by the chaos forecasting method, and can perfectly estimate the predicted variation domain at the 99.7 % confidence level without any prior information on the probability distribution.

Evaluation method of integrated development of urban modern agriculture

根据都市型现代农业的内涵和典型特征，建立了都市型现代农业综合发展水平的评价指标体系和评价方法。评价指标体系包括经济发展水平、社会发展水平和生态环境可持续发展水平3个评价指标体系，各级指标的权重根据层次分析法确定，评价方法主要基于灰色评估法。以此方法为基础，初步评价了北京都市型现代农业的综合发展水平。结果表明，北京都市型现代农业综合发展水平1990～2004年一直处于起步阶段，2005年跨入发展阶段，且都市型现代农业综合发展水平与经济发展水平的趋势一致。

Research on the grey relational evaluation method of core competencies of virtual enterprise members

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to create a model of role‐based access control (RBAC) for virtual enterprise (VE).Design/methodology/approachAn access control model for security and management of VE is presented by integrating generic structure of VE and applying the principles of RBAC. In addition, the application of the model to a supply chain oriented VE illustrates that a general access control scheme can ensure the running of VE.FindingsA theory base of access control for the realization of the VE is found.Originality/valueThe paper provides a very useful new model of access control for VE. This paper is aimed at researchers and engineers.

Application of gray evaluation model based on AHP in ATM system

This paper presents a hierarchy model of Air Traffic Management (ATM) according to the security requirements in ATM system, analyzes it by grey assessment and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and evaluates it in details. It also provides theoretical support for building an effective evaluation system. The basic idea is to use AHP and Grey Assessment to obtain the weights of the indicators, and count grey evaluation coefficients with whitening function. The compositive clustering coefficients are obtained by combining the weights and the grey evaluation coefficients. Evaluation result can be gotten from the compositive clustering coefficients.
