The Genesis of Innovation and Investment Policy in Terms of Technological Transformation of Agricultural Organizations

The relevance of the study of the genesis of theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of innovative investment agricultural organizations’ policies appears under the pressure of technological transformation in the sustainable development of the economy. The beginning of the 21st century is marked by frequent cycles of both development and stagnation of economic trends. Disclosure of the transformation ontology involves identification of changes in all the functional processes of the studied object, including the relationship of the subject (active or passive activity) to objects and instruments of influence. Markers and indicators measuring the level of quality and the return efficiency of transformed objects are also subjects to changes.

Group Flow: The Genesis of Innovation

ABSTRACTWith the ever‐increasing complexity of systems, most managers and engineers understand that innovation and solutions require collaboration among multiple contributors. To facilitate harnessing the power of the group, group flow is conducive to efficient and creative work, energizes and engages team members, and supports each of the principles for agile development and design thinking.Group flow occurs when all members of a group are mutually experiencing flow (also called “being in the zone”), with the group's task demanding equal focus and effort from all members. The outcome of engaging group flow is to achieve something greater and more rapidly than each member could do on his or her own: creative solutions, genuine innovation, and decisions with profitable results. with profitable results.Group flow requires autonomy to define the goal and methodology, a protective environment, and tools to direct the focus of group members. By implementing the methodologies in this paper, the transformative systems engineer and leader will begin to see more engagement by employees and a proliferation of profitable new ideas. The author and members of the INCOSE Transformational Systems Engineering Caucus have experienced that a culture conducive to group flow holds immense potential for reward as the genesis of innovation.

R&D, Socio‐Economic Conditions, and Regional Innovation in the U.S

AbstractThis paper looks at the genesis of innovation in the U.S. from a territorial perspective. The analysis aims to disentangle the impact of local research and development (R&D) expenditure from other contextual conditions supportive of the process of innovation. Particular emphasis is devoted to the role of socio‐economic factors and systems of innovation (“social filter” conditions) and to their impact on the returns of R&D expenditure in different territorial contexts. The empirical analysis is based on a regional knowledge production function approach, leading to an empirical model estimated by means of panel data analysis for the period between 1994 and 2007 at the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis‐Economic Area level. The results unveil the complexity of the territorial dynamics of innovation of the U.S. Local R&D investments are important predictors for regional innovative performance and their impact is highly localised. However, social filter conditions are fundamental for the productivity of innovation efforts.
