This research is titled "Psychoanalysis of the Character's Anxiety Emotion in Script Inside Out 2," which aims to analyze the personality structure of the emotion character Anxiety in Riley's life. Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory is used to identify the personality structure by analyzing the id, ego, and superego. Through the qualitative descriptive method, the personality structure of the character Anxiety in the film ‘Inside Out 2’ was successfully identified. The research findings show that the character Anxiety is dominated by a balance between the ego and superego. Anxiety is identified not only as a mediator between the id and superego but also as an element that ensures Riley adheres to the established moral standards. The character Anxiety in this film represents the constant tension between instinctual drives, moral demands, and the reality that must be faced, which significantly influences its behavior and responses to the situations Riley encounters. Analysis of Psychological Issues in Me Before You

This study examined the psychological issues and how they affect the behaviors of the protagonists Will and Louisa in the movie Me Before You and their decision-making processes. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach and incorporated Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory to analyze the film's narrative. Freud's concepts of the id, ego, and superego provide insights into the underlying motivations driving the characters' actions. The findings revealed that Will's struggles with depression, loss of identity, and desire for autonomy drive his decision for assisted suicide while Louisa faces her own challenges with fear of change and societal pressures. The study concluded that experiencing accidents and depression could lead to risky behavior, while highlighting the importance of companionship and understanding, and emphasizing the role of psychological factors in decision-making. EKSPLORASI PENOKOHAN DAN KONFLIK INTERPERSONAL DALAM NOVEL PERANG BUBAT KARYA AAN MERDEKA PERMANA

The urgency for innovation in senior high school literature teaching materials has prompted this research. Historical novels with a psychological literary perspective are still rarely used as teaching materials. Hence, this research focuses on analyzing the characterization and conflicts in Aan Merdeka Permana's novel Perang Bubat as an alternative teaching material for senior high school literature. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, this research gathered data in the form of words and analyzed it using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The analyzed characters include Dyah Pitaloka, Hayam Wuruk, Gajah Mada, and Prabu Lingga Buana. The findings reveal unique character traits in the characters of Aan Merdeka Permana's novel Perang Bubat. These unique characteristics are classified into the id, ego, and superego. The research results were then transformed into senior high school literature teaching materials in the form of teaching modules and handouts. It is recommended that Aan Merdeka Permana's novel Perang Bubat be used as a teaching material for senior high school literature, particularly for grade XII, as an alternative to outdated teaching materials. The proposed teaching materials in this research are teaching modules and handouts designed to facilitate the understanding of the novel.

TEENAGE SOCIAL LIFE IN GREEN’S LOOKING FOR ALASKA : A PSYCHOANALYTIC APPROACH

The purpose of this study is to analyze the teenage social life in Looking for Alaska by John Green. This research is classified as a qualitative study. The primary source for data collection is the novel itself, Looking for Alaska by John Green, while secondary sources include relevant journals and articles available on the internet. These secondary sources provide additional information to support a comprehensive analysis of the research topic. The data analysis employs Freud's psychoanalytic theory, specifically focusing on the three fundamental components of Id, Ego, and Superego. The findings indicate that the teenage years encompass both positive and negative experiences during the process of growth and development. The positive things identified include group activities, collaborative learning, and read books from famous authors. Conversely, negative impacts observed involve experimentation with smoking, alcohol consumption, breaking school rules and watching porn movies. Based on this data, the writer concludes that when living life as a teenager, there are positive and negative things that are experienced during the growth process.

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang Teori Psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud dalam Penerapan Pembinaan Akhlak Peserta didik. Psioanalisi adalah cabang ilmu yang dikembangkan oleh Sigmun Freud dan para pengikutnya, sebagai studi fungsi dan perilaku psikologis manusia. Di dalam Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan deskripsi analitis pendekatan, yaitu dengan memaparkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh melalui wawancara terstruktur pada sumber penelitian. Upaya untuk mengembangkan akhlak sebagai penunjang pembelajaran guna mencapai pembelajaran tujuan itu sendiri, berbagai upaya dilakukan dalam membina akhlak peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang mengamalkan ajaran agamanya yaitu dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai agama dan akhlak. Tujuan konseling psikoanalisis adalah membentuk kembali struktur karakter individu dengan membuat yang tidak sadar menjadi sadar dalam diri klien.

Perbandingan Psikoanalisis Novel Sunyi Adalah Minuman Keras dengan Novel Convenience Store Woman

This paper examines the comparison between two literary works in the form of novels originating from Indonesia and Japan. The novels under study are "Sunyi Adalah Minuman Keras" by Sapardi Djoko Damono and "Convenience Store Woman" by Sayaka Murata. The issue discussed revolves around the personality system proposed by Sigmund Freud, namely id, ego, and superego, present in the two main characters of the novels. This research employs a qualitative research method with a comparative literary approach. The data in this study consist of words or sentences found in the novel "Sunyi Adalah Minuman Keras" and "Convenience Store Woman" involving the characters and related to Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The data collection technique used was reading and note-taking. The research findings indicate that "Sunyi Adalah Minuman Keras" by Sapardi Djoko Damono and "Convenience Store Woman" by Sayaka Murata share many similarities in behavior between the two characters when viewed through Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory, consisting of id, ego, and superego. The character Rara is more dominated by the id system, while Keiko is more dominated by the ego system.

The aim of this research is to find out about transactional analysis counseling philosophically based on the results of literature studies. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study type. Teaching and Anxiety: Experiences of Teachers in the Beginning of the Career

This article will allow us to scientifically obtain an updated view of work anxiety, focused on the beginning of a university professor's career, with the aim of understanding what the experience of a beginning professor is like and how they build their identity. Specifically describe the challenges that these professionals face in their professional practice. S. Freud's psychoanalytic theory was used, according to which human behavior is based on instincts or unconscious impulses, some being aggressive and others destructive. Currently, the challenges that society poses, and that schools face, are increasingly demanding, with the level of anxiety and stress among teachers being notorious and their possible association with the degree of satisfaction in the educational process. For this research, the qualitative approach was used for a deeper analysis and in-depth interviews were used to collect the data. The target audience for the research was beginner and seasoned teachers from higher education institutions. As the results indicate, every teacher is affected by anxiety in the exercise of their profession, which is good when it drives and pathological when it creates obstacles in the teaching activity. Professionals are satisfied with their profession, but hard work is still needed on a personal and professional level to achieve the university's objectives and overcome the challenges imposed on it. However, it is necessary to invest in the continuous training of teaching staff to improve the quality, pedagogical conditions of teaching and scientific production.

Gerald's Emotional State in The Last Wish

Psychology is a general concept that every human being possesses. Using Freud's Psychoanalytic Theory, this study investigates the types of Psychological Aspects found in Geralt, the main character in Andrzej Sapkowski's novel "The Witcher: The Last Wish" (Id, Ego, and Superego). The researcher used the qualitative method and a case study design to achieve the research goal. The data is gathered through document analysis in the form of the main character's utterances. The researcher discovered 806 data from Geralt's utterances, with 149 data (18.48%) included the Psychological Aspects. According to the findings, 34 data were assigned to the Id (22.81%), 40 data were assigned to the Ego (26.84%), and 75 data were assigned to the Superego (50.33%). The most noticeable Psychological Aspect of Geralt's character is Superego. The superego is the component of personality acquired from one's parents, and society includes the values and morals of society learned from one's parents and others. According to the story, Geralt has been an orphan since he was a child and has survived to grow up on his own.

Psychical Inertia: Origins and Transformations

In this article I map a set of points that could begin to tell the story of inertia’s trajectory from physics and physiology to figurations of psychic life in Freudian psychoanalytic theory. Both preceding and contemporaneous with Freud’s use of the concept of inertia to describe an element of psychic life, work was taking place in other intellectual and geographical contexts to translate this law of physics and physiology to a property of mental life. As a particular illustration of this, I examine a lecture given by British scientist Michael Faraday in 1818, wherein he makes the leap from the inertia of matter to ‘mental inertia’ and is arguably the first recorded thinker to do so in the English language. I then explore the use of the phrase ‘psychic inertia’ in 1900 by Scottish physiologist D.F. Harris and argue that Harris’s work is not only emerging at the same time as Freud’s discoveries, but that he prefigures Freud’s ideas about the relationship between inertia and the death drive in interesting ways. The final part of the paper returns to sketch out Freud’s engagement with the concept in several of his papers.

Analisis Kepribadian Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Dangerous Romance Karya Daisy Ann: Kajian Psikologi Sastra

This research is based on the selfish side that exists in the personality of the main character in Daisy Ann's novel Dangerous Romance which can be studied more deeply with Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with the aim of describing the personalities of the main characters, Maura and Benny Arliansyah, based on the concepts of Id, Ego, and Superego. The research data are sentences quoted directly from the novel Dangerous Romance by Daisy Ann. The identity of Maura's personality includes the desire to possess, the desire for Ben's attention, the desire to be a good wife, and the desire to be a friend of Ben. The ego of the Maura personality encompasses selfishness, ambition, and reluctance to surrender, attention, openness, and jealousy. The superego in Maura's individuality involves the awareness of his egoism and the consciousness of releasing Ben. As for the superego that is seen in him, it is his awareness of his fault. These personality concepts can be used as a life lesson that one's selfishness can destroy everything. This finding is also a sign that Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory can be used as a primary foundation in the study of novel literature so that it can be reimplemented in other literary works, whether drama or scripture. Monarchy and Politics of Detention in Taher Ben Jalloun's “This Blinding Absence of Light”

Tahar Ben Jelloun's novels are distinguished by their integration of problematic social phenomena into a purely literary form. While this isn't unique to Ben Jelloun's writing style, the author's way of crafting thought-provoking and often revolutionary experimental stories from the material of traditional Moroccan life is, at least in a way extraordinary: his characters experience social difficulties and embarrassments in their lives through the metaphor of a fictional existence of their self-perception. Thus, for example, their search for identity in their social context manifests in their search for self-perception as fictional characters and power struggles in relationships. Their relationship takes the form of a battle for control of the story. Political prisoners associate writing with their quest for freedom. This article therefore focuses on the torture, body and voice representations of Taher Ben Jelloun's This Blinding Absence of Light (2002). Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory will be used to approach the psychological disintegration of characters in the text following such a Dark Decade experience and will borrow eclectic concepts from interdisciplinary studies; Erving's concept of Goffman's "holistic institution", Elaine Scarry's comprehensive and detailed theoretical definition and analysis of torture, and Judith Herman's study of trauma.

THE DYNAMICS OF PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP WITH ONLINE GAME ADDICTS

Online gaming addiction refers to behaviors that involve excessive use of online games that cause emotional or social problems. This research aims to find out how the description of addiction, the dynamics of parent-child relationship with online game addicts contained in the subchapters of the respondent's background, description of addiction and supporting addiction theories, description of parent and child relationships that are specialized in discussions related to: parenting, attachment style. This research uses a qualitative approach. The participants of this research include online game addicts domiciled in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, totaling 2 people and collection through semi-structured interviews with research subjects and the closest people related to the research subject. The data obtained shows the results that Subjects 1 and 2 can be classified into the category of online game addiction. Subject 1's parents applied a parenting style that fell into the permissive category with a preoccupied attachment style. The theory underlying Subject 1's addictive behavior is Freud's psychoanalytic theory, in which id is more dominant. Subject 2's parents apply parenting that falls into the neglectful category with a dismissing attachment style. The underlying theory of Subject 2's addictive behavior is classical theory in which addiction arises due to repeated use. Suggestions can be made for future research to expand the scope of similar discussions by examining various other factors that can influence online game addiction. Some factors that could be explored involve life satisfaction, loneliness, self-esteem, social skills, self-control, and interpersonal relationships.

The Response of Teenage Anxiety to Parents Wishes in Dead Poets Society (1989) and Negeri 5 Menara (2012)

This study examines parent-teen relationships in 'Dead Poets Society' and 'Negeri 5 Menara,' two influential movies from Western and Indonesian cultures. The research investigates how diverse social and cultural norms influence family values and the resolution of common issues. It specifically focuses on the psychological consequences of repressive and authoritarian parenting styles on central characters Neil and Alif, using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory as a framework. Employing descriptive qualitative analysis and extensive literature and film documentation, the study uncovers distinct anxiety manifestations in Neil (fear) and Alif (depression). Additionally, it highlights the role of unconscious defense mechanisms in dealing with anxiety. This research underscores the universal impact of authoritarian parenting on adolescent mental health and the unique coping mechanisms individuals develop when faced with such stressors.

This research delves into the feelings experienced by the main character in the song "Cancer" by My Chemical Romance. This descriptive qualitative research aims to discover the anxiety and mental condition faced by a patient affected by cancer, as reflected in the song's lyrics, using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory as an approach. Data were collected by repeatedly listening to the song, understanding, and interpreting the literary work. The song "Cancer" by My Chemical Romance, without an accompanying music video, is the focus of the analysis, relying solely on the lyrics as the source. This approach involves understanding the meaning of the words, examining the emotional context, and exploring potential symbolism within the lyrics. The main goal of this research is to uncover and analyze the anxiety and mental journey of a patient affected by cancer through the lens of Freud's psychoanalytic theory. Through this research, it is hoped that a deeper understanding of the emotional and psychological dynamics faced by the main character in the song "Cancer" will be achieved and how Freud's psychoanalytic theory can assist in analyzing subconscious layers and psychological conflicts that may arise in the context of the song's lyrics. In conclusion, through the psychoanalytic lens, "Cancer" becomes an emotional narrative illustrating the dynamics between personality components in facing feelings of loss and death, creating a profound experience that feels personal and universal.

Symbols and Images of Peace in the Meranaw Epic Darangen

A profound relationship exists between literature and peace that transcends centuries and cultures. In the southern Philippines, the Meranaw people consider peace to be more than a mere notion; it is an intrinsic aspect of their cultural and traditional way of life. Furthermore, by applying critical discourse analysis to the symbols and images in the Volume 1 of the Meranaw epic Darangen, this literary research elucidates the significance of peace. This is further supported by Aristotle's Theory of Poetry, Stuart Hall's Cultural Studies, Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic Theory, and Karl Marx's Marxism. Moreover, it is found that fear, marriage, dialogue, status, royalty, tolerance, power, nobility and proletariat, cleanliness, communication, discontinuity, death, politeness, sacrifice, pride, royalty, divinity, harmony, support, safety, divine protection, and courage are the meanings of the symbols and images in relation to peace. Each symbol and image in the epic illustrate how the Meranaw people define peace. Peace is represented in marriage, gatherings in the torogan, the colors of the malong, flags, jewelry and gold, gifts, and divine like the spirits, magic chair, and shield in the epic. Further, the epic portrays that peace for the Meranaw people can only be achieved by valuing their honor, dignity, self-esteem, and reputation. Hence, this study revealed the symbols and images in the epic that reflect the concepts of peace in the Meranaw community.
