Analisis Tingkat Kematangan Adopsi Service Oriented Architecture Menggunakan ISO/IEC 16680 (OSIMM)

Enterprise application integration makes data sharing easier, efficient and provides flexibility for organizations to seize opportunities and respond to stakeholder needs. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Tanjungpura University is an organization that wants to apply information technology effectively to support its business processes. Currently the application at FMIPA is built with different platforms and databases so that it cannot be integrated to share data between parts of the organization. FMIPA intends to build a service-oriented technology architecture to support the realization of organizational goals. SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) can be used as a framework for enterprise application integration. SOA adoption is often not as expected because organizations do not plan their processes comprehensively. It is necessary to measure the maturity level of the organization's SOA adoption so that the current state of the organization's SOA and future expectations can be found. ISO/IEC 16680 (OSIMM) is a method for measuring the SOA maturity level with 7 levels of maturity and 7 dimensions. To expedite the SOA adoption process in FMIPA, SOA maturity level was measured using ISO/IEC 16680. Based on measurements of the seven dimensions of SOA at ISO/IEC 16680, it was found that the current level of SOA adoption maturity (As-Is) at FMIPA Untan was at the level one (Silo), while the expected maturity level (To-Be) is level four (Service). Gap analysis then carried out related to the gap in maturity levels, and is followed by making recommendations dan roadmap for SOA adoption.

Business-to-government application integration framework: A case study of the high technology industry in Taiwan

Business-to-government integration (B2Gi) requires the development of a unique, inter-organizational integration framework to meet the dynamic requirements of various business entities and government organizations. The authors proposed a conceptual framework for the inter-organizational integration service provider (IISP) as a philosophical and strategic guideline for developing inter-organizational integration. A real-world case study was discussed, with the presentation of a cost-benefit model to assess the possibility for adopting such a business model. With the assistance of the guideline for B2Gi, it is anticipated that the proposed integration model will take advantage of the trade-off between the flexibility and controllability issues.

Web Application Integration Framework Based on OSGi

In the view of current application software appeared complex, huge demand and update frequently, the frame technology is introduced to the software development process in order to improve the software development speed and quality. OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) as a field development framework provides a good environment, system development based on OSGi has many advantages, including the dynamic change system behavior, it has hot swap plug in system structure, and with high reusability and efficiency. The paper constructs a Web application integration framework based on OSGi, which can effectively solve those problems of the framework development in the territory is complex, the integration framework’s reusability is better , and with easy extension characteristics.

A knowledge-driven framework for simulation application integration

This paper describes the motivations, methods, and solution concepts of a knowledge-driven framework for simulation application integration. First, the solution ideas are motivated by providing a characterization of the challenges associated with simulation integration at the semantic level. Next, opportunities provided by recent advances in knowledge representation and ontology development methods are outlined. The important role of ontologies in simulation integration is then briefly described. Next, a method for knowledge-driven simulation application integration is described in detail. Illustrative application examples are then outlined in order to provide a flavour for the practical value for the research. Finally, we outline the potential benefits of the research.

Research on ESB framework for enterprise application integration

Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is a standard software architecture based on an event-driven messaging engine,of which message bus is the foundation.In order to achieve an effective,secure and available ESB,this paper analyzed the key components and working principles of messaging on traditional ESB,and then proposed the design and implementation of an enterprise level messaging system,which had the functions of message splitter,message compression,message encryption,message resume,and queues cluster.The application result shows that improving the messaging model can further improve the performance of ESB.

An RFID-based enterprise application integration framework for real-time management of dynamic manufacturing processes

Enterprise application integration (EAI) is an important issue for a company trying to transform itself into a ubiquitous real-time organization. However, traditional techniques for EAI are only suitable for integrating the virtual information among different applications. The challenge of integrating physical objects with corresponding business processes and applications at the right time and location is a critical concern for companies building a real-time enterprise (RTE) information system. In this research, we proposed an EAI framework based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. On the basis of this framework, a prototype system is developed to demonstrate the applicability of the framework in a shop floor environment. This paper also presents a RFID-based standard operation procedure to configure a prototype system for a particular shop floor operation and an operator orientation for performing the corresponding tasks. The findings of this paper demonstrate that the proposed framework is more capable than most current industrial practices in both managing dynamic manufacturing processes and in providing real-time visibility of work-in-process information. Using this framework, an enterprise can easily integrate an RFID-based solution into its IT infrastructure and manufacturing environment to facilitate real-time management of dynamic production operations.

Enterprise application integration framework based on multi-agent system

On the basis of fast Multi-Agent System(MAS) application development with Agent Pattern Language(APL),this paper proposed a framework of process-oriented enterprise application integration.According to the general characteristics of business process,the framework adopted a hierarchy structure for the business process to separate business logic and implementation.Then some local changes of sub-process had less influence on the execution of global business process.Besides,roles and structured activities were adopted in the framework.The business process can be divided into sub-process with roles to form the hierarchy structure.The structured activities were used to describe complex business process.With the framework,the enterprise application integration can be implemented in an effective way,and the implementation will be more flexible.

MANUFACTURING APPLICATION INTEGRATION SCHEME USING ISO 15745 AND IEC 62264

A common challenge in the integration of processes, resources, and information exchanges across manufacturing operations within an enterprise involves selecting resource interfaces to support interoperability of the operations. By combining the integration approaches of ISO 15745 (application integration framework) and of IEC 62264 (enterprise-control system integration), a scheme to delineate these interoperability interfaces is proposed. The scheme extends the IEC 62264 generic activity model beyond the manufacturing operations management domain and the ISO 15745 integration model beyond the operations automation domain.

XML-based specification for Web services document security

The Internet and related technologies have seen tremendous growth in distributed applications such as medicine, education, e-commerce, and digital libraries. As demand increases for online content and integrated, automated services, various applications employ Web services technology for document exchange among data repositories. Web services provide a mechanism to expose data and functionality using standard protocols, and hence to integrate many features that enhance Web applications. XML, a well-established text format, is playing an increasingly important role in supporting Web services. XML separates data from style and format definition and allows uniform representation, interchange, sharing, and dissemination of information content over the Internet. XML and Web services provide a simplified application integration framework that drives demand for models that support secure information interchange. Providing document security in XML-based Web services requires access control models that offer specific capabilities. Our XML-based access control specification language addresses a new set of challenges that traditional security models do not address.
