An Intelligent Gray Prediction Model Based on Fuzzy Theory

In order to improve the forecasting effect of the gray prediction model, this paper combines the fuzzy theory to construct the gray prediction model and explores its forecasting accuracy. Moreover, this paper uses the entropy weight method to obtain the objective weight to correct the subjective weight, which makes the weight calculation more reasonable. In view of the uncertainty of the control signal of the research object, this paper introduces the gray system theory to conduct cluster analysis on the fire control computer and mainly introduces the general whitening weight function. Furthermore, this paper adopts the center point mixed with a triangular whitening weight function to carry out gray clustering according to the difficulty of defining the gray class boundary and gives the solution steps to obtain the intelligent gray prediction model. Finally, this paper verifies that the intelligent gray prediction model based on fuzzy theory has a good effect through experiments, which can effectively improve the prediction effect of the intelligent prediction model.

Failure Mechanism of the Fire Control Computer CPU Board inside the Tank under Transient Shock: Finite Element Simulations and Experimental Studies.

The electronic components inside a main battle tank (MBT) are the key components for the tank to exert its combat effectiveness. However, breakdown of the inner electronic components can easily occur inside the MBT due to the strong transient shock and large vibration during artillery fire. As a typical key electronic component inside an MBT, the fault mechanism and fault patterns of the CPU board of the fire control computer (FCC) are discussed through numerical simulation and experimental research. An explicit nonlinear dynamic analysis is performed to study the vibration features and fault mechanism under instantaneous shock load. By using finite element modal analysis, the first six nature frequencies of the CPU board are calculated. Meanwhile, curves of stress–frequency and strain–frequency of the CPU board under different harmonic loads are obtained, which are applied to further identify the peak response of the structure. Validation of the finite element model and simulation results are performed by comparing those obtained from the modal with experiments. Based on the dynamic simulation and experimental analysis, fault patterns of CPU board are discussed, and some optimization suggestions were proposed. The results shown in this work can provide a potential technical basis and reference for the optimization design of the electronic components that are commonly used in the modern weapon equipment and wartime support.

Fire Control System Operation Status Assessment Based on Information Fusion: Case Study

In traditional fault diagnosis strategies, massive and disordered data cannot be utilized effectively. Furthermore, just a single parameter is used for fault diagnosis of a weapons fire control system, which might lead to uncertainty in the results. This paper proposes an information fusion method in which rough set theory (RST) is combined with an improved Dempster–Shafer (DS) evidence theory to identify various system operation states. First, the feature information of different faults is extracted from the original data, then this information is used as the evidence of the state for a diagnosis object. By introducing RST, the extracted fault information is reduced in terms of the number of attributes, and the basic probability value of the reduced fault information is obtained. Based on an analysis of conflicts in the existing DS evidence theory, an improved conflict evidence synthesis method is proposed, which combines the improved synthesis rule and the conflict evidence weight allocation methods. Then, an intelligent evaluation model for the fire control system operation state is established, which is based on the improved evidence theory and RST. The case of a power supply module in a fire control computer is analyzed. In this case, the state grade of the power supply module is evaluated by the proposed method, and the conclusion verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method in evaluating the operation state of a fire control system.

Efficient Embedded Hardware Architecture for Stabilised Tracking Sighting System of Armoured Fighting Vehicles

A line-of-sight stabilised sighting system, capable of target tracking and video stabilisation is a prime requirement of any armoured fighting tank vehicle for military surveillance and weapon firing. Typically, such sighting systems have three prime electro-optical sensors i.e. day camera for viewing in day conditions, thermal camera for night viewing and eye-safe laser range finder for obtaining the target range. For laser guided missile firing, additional laser target designator may be a part of sighting system. This sighting system provides necessary parameters for the fire control computer to compute ballistic offsets to fire conventional ammunition or fire missile. System demands simultaneous interactions with electro-optical sensors, servo sensors, actuators, multi-function display for man-machine interface, fire control computer, logic controller and other sub-systems of tank. Therefore, a complex embedded electronics hardware is needed to respond in real time for such system. An efficient electronics embedded hardware architecture is presented here for the development of this type of sighting system. This hardware has been developed around SHARC 21369 processor and FPGA. A performance evaluation scheme is also presented for this sighting system based on the developed hardware.

Analysis of General Ideal Proportional Navigation Guidance Laws

AbstractIn this work, the capture region of the general ideal proportional navigation guidance law is analyzed with the following constraints: (i) the target's input acceleration is subject to independent or magnitude saturation, and (ii) the missile's input acceleration is subject to magnitude saturation. In addition to the case of unbounded maneuverability of missile with or without knowing the target acceleration, the necessary and sufficient condition for a bounded maneuvering missile that captures a nonmaneuvering target is also derived. Furthermore, the conditions that result in zero impact velocity are discovered and discussed in some of the cases. The capture regions that cannot be obtained analytically are determined numerically by a powerful classifier, the least square support vector machines. To have the capture region ready for least square support vector machines, all the state variables are transformed into modified polar variables and non‐dimensionalized to reduce the number of independent variables. In order to make the implementation possible in real time, an approximation of the Gaussian radial basis function is adopted to obtain the corresponding nonlinear feature mapping function. Through numerous numerical experiments, the proposed technique is found to be adequate for storing the capture region in an onboard fire control computer.

Dynamic Analysis of Electrical Control Components under Tank Gun Firing Impact

To acquire the dynamic characteristics of electrical control component under tank gun firing impact, the author simplified tank structure, combined the three-dimensional modeling software Solidworks and dynamics simulation software ADAMS, constructed a full vehicle dynamics simulation model of a main battle tank and simulated the firing of tank gun. The compare between experimental and simulated results proved the validity and reliability of this model. This set the foundation for the analysis of fault principles of fire control computer and its internal structure under the impact of tank gun firing.

ABSTRACT MRDS is a short range missile/rocket defense system which protects a main battle tank(MBT) from threats in a short range. It is composed of 2 radars, 2 infrared trackers(IRTs), 1 fire control computer(FCC), 2 launchers and countermeasures. To guarantee the performance of the MRDS, these components have to be mounted on the vehicle with the known positions and directions and it is required to compensate the alignment errors. In this paper, a system alignment method using angular error compensation is proposed to install its components within a tolerance on the MBT. 미사일/로켓 방어체계의 RPG-7에 대한 전차방호 성능분석

MRDS is a short range missile/rocket defense system which protects a main battle tank(MBT) from threats at a short range. It is composed of 2 radars, 2 infrared trackers(IRT)s, 1 fire control computer(FCC), 2 launchers and countermeasures. In this paper, the radar and the IRT models based on sensing errors, the FCC model based on filtering errors, the launcher model based on driving errors and the countermeasure model based on flying errors are proposed to analyze the defense performance with the approaching RPG-7 and the moving MBT. The simulation results are presented to evaluate and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Dynamic Simulation of Gun Carrying Electronic Devices

In order to study the reliability of the gun contained electronic equipment, take the fire control computer as an example,establish its physical model and then based on the modal analysis theory, dynamics simulation analysis for fire control computer is done by ANSYS. For vibration and shock which cause by the gun firing is harm to the equipment and the measures for vibration resistance is put forward. Through the contrast of the natural frequency of vibration isolated before and after finding that oscillator can effectively reduce the system nature frequency, and this could make the response amplitude is less than the excitation amplitude based on vibration isolator transmissibility curves. It could provide good conditions to ensure the box and its internal printed circuit board to meet the multiplier rule.

Research of Closed-Loop Calibration Model Based on Kalman Filtering Algorithm

The firing calibration of Artillery fire control system with closed-loop calibration manner can improve the firing accuracy significantly. The miss distance prediction is the theory core of closed-loop calibration. Whether the prediction algorithm of closed-loop calibration corrects or not is directly related to the calibration’s success or failure. Mainly for the external error sources not caused by fire control computer system, this paper established a closed-loop calibration model based on Kalman filtering algorithm, researched the specific implementation process of algorithm model, and applied the MATLAB software simulating the model. Simulation results show that the closed-loop calibration model based on Kalman filtering algorithm can significantly inhibit firing error and is a feasible algorithm and provides a good theoretical basis for forecasting error.

Modeling and Estimation for Tracking Maneuvering Targets

A new approach to the three-dimensional airborne maneuvering target tracking problem is presented. The method, which combines the correlated acceleration target model of Singer [3] with the adaptive semi-Markov maneuver model of Gholson and Moose [8], leads to a practical real-time tracking algorithm that can be easily implemented on a modern fire-control computer. Preliminary testing with actual radar measurements indicates both improved tracking accuracy and increased filter stability in response to rapid target accelerations in elevation, bearing, and range.

A differentiator for A-C computers

This paper describes an electronic circuit which differentiates, with respect to time, information represented by the amplitude modulation of an a-c carrier wave. A circuit of this type is useful in a-c fire-control computing systems where rate information must be obtained from positional input data. In any fire-control computer, the choice of the particular type of differentiator to be used depends upon the form of the input data. If these data are in the form of d-c signals, accurate electronic differentiating circuits are available. If they are in the form of a-c signals a positional servo coupled to an a-c tachometer is usually used1 (especially for rectangular co-ordinate fire-control systems). The accuracy of servo differentiators, however, is inadequate for many applications. The electronic circuit to be described offers a means of obtaining, for an a-c fire-control computing system, more accurate differentiation than has so far been obtained using servo differentiators. Basically, the circuit described is a modification of a well-known d-c differentiator circuit which utilizes a Miller integrator in a feedback path, achieving differentiation by the implicit function technique.2 A magnetically keyed demodulator3,4 has been incorporated into the design so that the d-c circuit can be used in an a-c computing system. This demodulator circuit has excellent linearity characteristics and a wide operating range, making the electronic differentiator design feasible for many applications.
