This study aims to investigate the role of artificial intelligence applications in improving the transparency of financial reports. The main results of the study show that the application of artificial intelligence systems contributes to improving the reliability and transparency of financial reports, which enhances investor confidence and improves corporate governance. Therefore, companies should keep pace with developments and use technology, especially artificial intelligence technologies and systems, to improve and enhance the transparency of financial reports. Artificial intelligence can help detect financial fraud patterns in financial data, which leads to protecting investors from financial losses and potential risks. It also leads to improving investment and risk management decisions. Artificial intelligence can also help in creating interactive financial reports that users can customize according to their needs, which can lead to increased transparency and improved understanding of financial information

Financial Reporting Transparency and the Cost of Equity: Evidence From Newly Listed Firms

This paper explores the economic effects of financial reporting transparency of newly listed firms and outcomes associated with enhanced disclosure and financial reporting activities. We find a negative correlation between financial reporting transparency and information asymmetry in newly listed firms during their first five years of public trading. Further, we find a significant positive link between perceived business risk and implied cost of equity for these new public companies. Furthermore, we find a positive association between financial reporting transparency and the cost of equity. Our study helps to extend the research on the consequences of increased disclosures of newly listed firms.

Impact of Financial Reporting Transparency on Investor Decision-Making

Purpose: The aim of the study was to assess the impact of financial reporting transparency on investor decision-making in Kenya.
 Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries.
 Findings: In summary, financial reporting transparency significantly impacts investor decisions. It boosts confidence, reduces information gaps, lowers capital costs, enhances stock liquidity, and encourages long-term investments. Moreover, it improves risk assessment, ensures regulatory compliance, and safeguards investor interests.
 Implications to Theory, Practice and Policy: Information asymmetry theory, agency theory and behavioral finance theory may be use to anchor future studies on assessing the impact of financial reporting transparency on investor decision-making in Kenya. Companies should recognize the potential variation in the impact of financial reporting transparency across industries. Policymakers should work towards promoting the adoption of global reporting standards that encourage consistent and transparent financial disclosures.

The Effect To Accountability on The Effectiveness and Transparency of Financial Reports for the 2019 - 2022 Period (Empirical Study at Lazismu Central Office)

The Influence of Accountability on the Effectiveness and Transparency of Financial Reports for the 2019 – 2022 Period (Empirical Study at the Lazismu Central Office). This research aims to determine the influence of each variable, namely Accountability for Effectiveness and Transparency of Financial Reports. The type and source of data in this research is a quantitative approach with primary data where the data collection method uses a questionnaire method distributed within the Central Amil Zakat Infaq da Shodaqoh Muhammadiyah Institute. The independent variable in this research is Accountability (X1), and the dependent variables are Effectiveness (Y1) and Transparency (Y2). The sample method used was nonprobability sampling, and 70 respondents were obtained. The results of this research are: 1) Accountability of Financial Reports has a significant positive effect on the effectiveness of financial reports, as shown by the results of hypothesis testing which shows a value of 0.876 with a T-Statistics value of 13,661, which means it is calculated to be smaller than T-Statistics. 2) Financial Report Accountability has a significant positive effect on financial report transparency, which is shown by the results of the hypothesis testing carried out, namely showing a result of 0.855 with a T-Statistics value of 17,658, which means it is calculated to be smaller than the T-Statistics.

Determinants of Financial Reporting Local Government Organization Transparency and Accountability as a Mediator

This study examines the role of accountability as a mediating variable in understanding how internal control and external pressure influence financial reporting transparency. Data was sourced from a survey, garnering responses from 214 participants. The purposive sampling technique was adopted, focusing on responses from heads of finance departments, financial treasurers, and financial staff supporting local government organizations (OPD). For hypothesis testing, the study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) grounded on the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. Results revealed that internal control significantly promotes financial reporting transparency in OPD, with accountability serving as a mediator. In contrast, external pressure alone is inadequate to guarantee the transparency and accountability of financial reports within local governments. Consequently, OPDs are advised to bolster their internal control and accountability mechanisms to enhance the trustworthiness of their financial statements.

Mosque Financial Accountability and Transparency: A Community Perspective in Lamongan

<p>The mosque is a place of worship that has a source of income that comes from the community. The lack of information regarding the accountability and transparency of mosque financial management is a problem that needs special attention for managers of mosque financial funds. This study discusses the accountability and transparency of mosque financial reports from the perspective of the Muslim community in Lamongan Regency. The subjects of this study include people of productive age, namely 15–64 years old, who are Muslims and active in congregation at the mosque. The data collection technique is to distribute data through a Google Form questionnaire and reinforce it with information from previous literature, journals, and books. The results of the study show that people's views regarding the financial accountability and transparency of mosques in Lamongan is vary. The mosque's accountability and transparency system in Lamongan is considered to be in accordance with ISAK 35. The mosque's financial administrators have carried out their duties honestly and responsibly, but not a few among the public say they still have doubts. Some of them also thought that there was no need to know about the mosque's finances because someone already took care of them.</p>

KONSTRUKSI LAPORAN KEUANGAN PONDOK PESANTREN (STUDI PADA PONDOK PESANTREN AL-WASHOYA JOMBANG)

Pondok Pesantren is an Islamic Boarding School as a non-profit organization in the field of education carries out its activities with resources from the community. Transparency of financial reports is the main thing in accountability to stakeholders, especially external parties. Financial reports are prepared and presented in such a way that they are understandable and relevant to the needs of users of financial statements in making decisions. This case study research at the Al-Washoya Islamic Boarding School, Jombang resulted in the construction of its financial statements based on ISAK 35 and Islamic Boarding School Accounting Guidelines. The implementation of ISAK 35 and the Islamic Boarding School Financial Accounting Guidelines is carried out so that the presentation of the Al-Washoya Jombang Islamic Boarding School report as a non-profit concern organization pays attention to the requirements for presenting financial statements, the structure of financial reports and the minimum requirements for the contents of financial reports.

ANALISIS PENERAPAN (SAK) 102 TENTANG PEMBIAYAAN MURABAHAH PADA KOPERASI JASA KEUANGAN SYARIAH (KJKS) IBU MANDIRI UNGARAN

At this time the development of Islamic financial institutions is growing so rapidly. This can be seen from the many Islamic banks and other Islamic financial institutions such as Islamic Financial Services Cooperatives (KJKS). For the sake of transparency, accountability and comparability of sharia financial reports, it is necessary to have SAK syariah which regulates it, especially SAK 102, but there are still many KJKS that have not implemented it. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability between the application of murabahah financing accounting with SAK 102 at KJKS Ibu Mandiri Ungaran.
 The informants in this study were managers and tellers at KJKS Ibu Mandiri. The research variables are murabahah financing at KJKS and SAK 102. Data collection methods are interviews and documentation to collect data about the application of murabahah financing accounting. Methods of data analysis using descriptive qualitative method.
 The results of the study show that KJKS has not fully implemented SAK 102. Because the recognition of receivables, calculation of fines, presentation and disclosure of murabahah financing is not in accordance with SAK 102. The advice given is KJKS Ibu Mandiri to carry out murabahah financing accounting in accordance with SAK 102 related to recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure.

Akuntabilitas dan Transparansi Laporan Keuangan Sebagai Faktor Penentu Tingkat Kepercayaan Muzaki terhadap LAZIS

This study aims to answer the formulation of the problem of whether the transparency and accountability of financial reports affect the level of Muzaki's trust in the amil zakat infaq and sadaqah (LAZIS) institution in Gorontalo Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach and uses primary data sources. Primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires boldly and attractively to muzaki who pay zakat either through LAZIS managed by the government or privately managed LAZIS in Gorontalo District. The sampling method used was nonprobability sampling, and the research obtained was 100 respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis technique is used to analyse the research data. The study's results prove that transparency and accountability of financial reports positively influence the level of Muzaki's trust in Gorontalo District. Of the two research variables, transparency of financial reports is the most dominant variable influencing the level of muzaki trust in Gorontalo District.

Strategi Pemerintah Kota Bogor dalam Meningkatkan dan Mempertahankan Kualitas Laporan Keuangan

The Reformation Era has led changes in government system in which people demand a good and clean governance indicated by transparency and accountability of state financial reports. Bogor City Government since 2016 until 2021 able to obtain and maintain a WTP opinion assessment from the BPK on the Regional Government Financial Reports which it made from 2006 to 2015 has never received a WTP opinion assessment. The purpose of the reseach to analyze quality of financial reports of Bogor city, and to formulate a strategy of quality improvement and maintain on financial reports. This research use primary data collected using questionnaires and interviews. Data sources are related to the method of rating scale analysis to measure the quality of LKPD, SWOT analysis in determining strategy alternatives and the use of QSPM in determining priority strategy. The research result shows quality the financial reports on Bogor city falls into a category of fairly good. The prioritized strategy in improving and maintain the quality of LKPD of Bogor city is leadership reinforcement.

For this research, the author utilized both qualitative and quantitative methods to construct and inspect the research model to identify factors affecting the transparency of financial reports of administrative divisions in Bac Lieu. Based on the findings, recommendations can be given to improve the transparency of financial reports of those divisions. Results suggested that there were 6 factors directly affecting the transparency of financial reports of those administrative divisions, including Political support, Financial legislation systems, Characteristics of management system, Characteristics of financial systems, Organizational culture, and International economic integration. Подходы к измерению государственного сектора и оценке его эффективности

Despite the increasing role of the state sector in the economies of many countries, the criteria and approaches to comparative analysis and evaluation of the performance of state-owned enterprises are still ambiguous, as are the methods for cross-country comparisons of the scale of state presence in the economy. The purpose of the article is to systematize the main approaches to measurement of the size of the state sector using Russian economy as an example, as well as to substantiate the significance of this information in assessing the performance of companies with different forms of ownership in the investment and managerial decision-making process. The problems of the information environment, such as the fragmentation of data, incomplete publication of company reports, and the specifics of national databases in different countries, complicate and distort empirical research. Meanwhile, there are significant differences in the performance of state-owned and private companies, as well as in their investment attractiveness to investors in the financial market. International approaches to solving these problems consist in the formation of consolidated and unified databases, inclusion of stateowned companies in the system of national accounts, and creation of guidelines on uniform principles of transparency and accessibility of financial reports. Given the growing restrictions on access to information along with the trend towards the growth of the state sector in Russia, there is an increasing need to develop a unified methodology to measure its scale and assess its impact on the economy, investment and stock market. The proposed methodology and the obtained empirical results allow not only to comprehensively assess the contribution of the state sector in creating GDP and increasing the capitalization of the stock market, but also to conduct comparative studies of performance indicators and stock returns in companies with different ownership structure, as well as an international empirical analysis of the state sector impact on the economies and the financial and economic performance of companies.

Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Audit Delay Pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Aneka Industri

Delays in auditing financial reports within companies can be a cause of overall delays in issuing company reports, but audits will be necessary to ensure the accuracy and transparency of financial reports published by companies. Many factors trigger the emergence of audit delay. So researchers want to learn more about the effect of variables profitability, solvency, company size, audit opinion, and auditor reputation on audit delays. The researcher chose the population in manufacturing companies in the various industrial sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2019-2021. The data analysis technique in this research is multiple linear regression. Sampling method with purposive sampling with the number of samples used 93 companies that have complied with the sampling. This study proves that profitability, company size, audit opinion affect audit delay while solvency and auditor reputation do not affect audit delay.

Audit Quality and Its Impact on Financial Reporting Transparency

This qualitative research study investigates the intricate relationship between audit quality and financial reporting transparency within the corporate governance landscape. Drawing on principles of grounded theory, the research aims to explore the interplay, determinants, and implications of this relationship informed by existing literature. Through systematic document analysis of academic articles, regulatory documents, and scholarly publications, key dimensions and determinants of audit quality and financial reporting transparency are identified and analyzed. The study reveals that audit quality is influenced by factors such as auditor tenure, audit firm size, auditor industry specialization, and audit fees, each playing a nuanced role in shaping the effectiveness and reliability of audits. Similarly, financial reporting transparency is influenced by regulatory frameworks, theoretical perspectives, and technological advancements, highlighting the multifaceted nature of transparency mechanisms and drivers. The findings underscore the critical role of audit quality in enhancing financial reporting transparency, emphasizing the importance of auditor independence, competence, and ethical conduct. Moreover, the study highlights the interconnectedness of audit quality, financial reporting transparency, and corporate governance, with effective governance mechanisms serving as critical determinants of both audit quality and transparency outcomes. The research contributes to the understanding of the complex dynamics shaping audit quality and financial reporting transparency, providing valuable insights for stakeholders in the auditing profession and corporate governance.

PENGARUH UKURAN PERUSAHAAN, PROFITABILITAS, LEVERAGE, DAN KOMITE AUDIT TERHADAP INCOME SMOOTHING

This study has a purpose, namely to empirically examine the influence of firm size, profitability, leverage, and audit committee towards income smoothing in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017-2019. This study used 75 samples from manufacturing companies that have been selected using purposive sampling method with total 225 data for three years. The data used are secondary data in the form of financial statements. This research used econometric views (EViews) version 11 software to process the data. The result of research shows that firm size, profitability, and leverage have negative significant influence towards income smoothing, meanwhile audit committee has no significant influence towards income smoothing. The implication of this research is the need for transparency of financial reports regarding profit and debt, as well as an increase in the role of the audit committee to reduce income smoothing practices at various firm sizes.

BLOCKCHAIN AS DATA PROTECTION IN FINANCE

Five years ago, it would have been difficult to describe Kazakhstan’s economy as highly digitized. However, the country is currently implementing state programs aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of its citizens, with a focus on digitalization and the streamlining of financial monitoring systems for budget expenditure. The process of introducing digital technologies, in various forms, serves to increase transparency in state reporting, which in turn helps to control budget expenditures and investments. The goal of these efforts is to improve economic indicators within the state budget system and to allocate public funds more efficiently in order to achieve the best results across all sectors of Kazakhstan’s economy. In addition, the adoption of blockchain technology can address various security threats and problems, such as phishing attacks, server hacking, and compromised accounts, by allowing users to reclaim control of their data. The use of blockchain, which offers a high level of security and privacy, has the potential to revolutionize industries that rely on trust. In the long term, it is expected that blockchain will become a widely accepted and integral part of society, similar to the internet. The digitalization of finance in Kazakhstan is necessary to simplify and automate accounting, financial monitoring, and various banking and tax operations. It also makes it possible to improve the transparency of financial reports and increase the efficiency of budget management. The digitalization of finance can also reduce the risks of errors in working with accounting documentation, simplify accounting, and improve cost control. With the use of digital technologies, the process of data collection, processing, and storage becomes more efficient, saving time and resources.

Denetim Komitesi Özelliklerinin Finansal Raporlama Şeffaflığına Etkisi: Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksinde Yer Alan Şirketler Üzerine Bir Araştırma

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between audit committee characteristics and the level of transparency of financial reports submitted by the company. For this purpose, 402 firm/year data obtained from non-financial institutions traded in Borsa Istanbul Corporate Governance Index between 2007-2021 are analyzed with the least squares method and fixed effects model. The findings of the study indicate that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between the presence of female members in the audit committee and the frequency of meetings held by the audit committee throughout the year and the transparency level of the financial reports presented. It also reveals that there is a statistically significant negative relationship between the number of members of the audit committee and the transparency level of the financial reports presented. On the other hand, the findings of the study show that there is no statistically significant relationship between the experience and expertise of the audit committee and the transparency level of financial reports. The results of the research; provide evidence to policymakers, investors, and professional accountants regarding how audit committee characteristics relate to that committee's effectiveness in monitoring corporate reporting processes. The Influence of Local Government Size, Leverage, and Audit Opinion on Transparency of Regional Financial Reports with Internet Financial Reporting as an Intervening Variable

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of local government size, leverage, and audit opinion on the transparency of regional financial reports using internet financial reporting as an intervening variable. This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of 35 districts/cities in Indonesia in 2018-2020. The data in this study are secondary data obtained from the official website of the district/city government in Indonesia. Analysis of Path Analysis test data with the help of SPSS version 26. The results of this study conclude that local government size and audit opinion have no effect on regional financial transparency. Leverage affects regional financial transparency. Local government size, leverage, and audit opinion have no effect on internet financial reporting. Internet financial reporting is not able to mediate all independent variables on regional financial transparency.
