There have been progressive development and construction of tourism facilities such as hotels and restaurants in Purwosari. Besides the tourism development potentials, Purwosari, also has problems related to surface water sources. The research on the existence of springs in this place is urgent to support water needs for tourism facility development near tourism sites. This research consists of two parts: (1) to observe springs’ existence, water quality, relative water quantity, existence throughout the year, and spring’s relative distance to tourism sites, and (2) to determine suitable springs near tourism sites, related to the development of tourism facilities along the southern coast of Purwosari area. Based on field observation and interviews with five key persons in each village, the results show that 27 springs spread over the research area are unevenly distributed. The quality of spring water is good according to its physical-chemical properties. There are 13 springs with relatively abundant discharge, nine springs are relatively near to tourism sites, and 23 flows the water throughout the year. Springs evaluation with the MCDA method for developing tourism facilities along the waterfront of the Purwosari shows that only 11 springs have the potential to be economical and efficient sources of clean water.
