Sistem Informasi Eksekutif Perpustakaan Dengan Fitur Drilldown Dan Analisis What-If

Every agency or company needs to adapt to information technology so that it can provide opportunities to increase its competitive advantage in the future. The use of technology has an impact on the activities of an agency or company, including executive information systems. The Library Executive Information System for UPA Perpustakaan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur is expected to be able to overcome existing problems. It is hoped that the construction of this system will be able to assist library executives in carrying out analysis and making decisions to improve library progress. This research implements the waterfall model system development method. System modeling is carried out using an object-oriented approach using UML. In this research, the system was built using the PHP programming language with the Codeigniter framework and testing used the black-box testing method. The output produced in this research is a web-based Library Executive Information System for the UPA Perpustakaan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur with drilldown and what-if analysis features. The features are as follows, drilldown is a feature to facilitate the classification of information to a more detailed level utilizing data on visits, loan transactions, returns and extensions, while what-if analysis is an uncertainty simulation that can calculate book borrowings in a certain year period as a consideration for additional copies of books.

Implementing Scrum in Executive Information System at University

Executive Information System is a type of system that provides information about reports generated by the system, assists executives in making necessary decisions, and provides easy access to information from both internal and external sources. This system aims to help specific organizations solve problems. The objective of this research is to design and develop a web-based executive information system that can provide access to student, faculty, and program data at the Faculty of Economics, Garut University, with data visualization in the form of graphs and numbers using the Scrum method. The Executive Information System can provide a real-time overview of data for executive-level individuals, namely the faculty leaders. Scrum is the development methodology used, with stages such as product backlog, sprint, daily scrum meeting, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. The results of this research have produced an Executive Information System that provides data on students, faculty, and programs. This system features functions such as filtering, drilldown, and importing. Testing results indicate the successful achievement of sprints on time or even ahead of schedule, and the team was able to meet targets in each sprint. In this research, the Scrum method has been effectively utilized in creating the executive information system. Therefore, this method can be employed to develop similar executive information systems in the future.

Comparison Analysis of K-Means and DBSCAN Algorithms for Improving Budget Absorption Efficiency in EIS

This study aims to analyze the comparison between the K-Means and DBSCAN clustering algorithms in budget absorption within the Executive Information System (EIS). Realized budget achievement data from regional devices serve as the primary dataset for analysis. Before conducting experiments, the data undergo a preprocessing stage to eliminate outliers and apply normalization processes, ensuring the data is ready for further analysis. Subsequently, both algorithms, K-Means and DBSCAN, are applied to the budget achievement data to generate clusters corresponding to their respective characteristics. The research anticipates that the results will unveil significant findings in comparing the performance of K-Means and DBSCAN algorithms in budget absorption within the EIS context, especially within the scope of this study. Therefore, this analysis is expected to provide valuable insights for stakeholders aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of budget management through the optimal utilization of clustering algorithms within the EIS.

Strategic information planning and performance of SMEs: A structural equation modelling approach

BACKGROUND: The business environment is getting unstable due to which execution of decision support systems has become significant to maintain competitive advantage. Small and medium enterprises in particular confront issues, such as insufficiency of devising strategic planning, strategic decision-making, and information exchange, as well as difficulty increasing performance. Because functional strategic management and decision-making are required, strategic information systems planning is employed to accumulate information and assist decision-makers in developing and implementing the best strategy for gaining superior performance. Executives in information systems focus on technical difficulties while ignoring decisions to support strategic plans. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article is to investigate how strategic information systems planning contributes to increased performance in SMEs. METHODS: Data was gathered through questionnaires distributed to information system executives in SMEs, primarily in Jordan. The data was collected with the help of questionnaires adopted from prior studies. For Analysis after applying the diagnostic tests, structural equation modelling has been applied to test the framework developed based on the literature. RESULTS: A structural equation modeling (SEM) was conducted, the individual loadings of the SEM items are investigated, reliability and discriminant validity is tested, and path coefficients of hypothesized relationships of the developed model are tested. CONCLUSIONS: The findings suggested that managers should prioritize implementing strategic information systems planning so that they can gain superior performance with better agility in the future. This research not only enhances the current understanding of the significance of strategic information systems planning but also assists supervisors to improve the procedure.

Executive Information System on Stock Trading in the Jakarta Islamic Index

This study will examine the effect of executive information systems on stock price trading in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Testing this research using library research techniques (Library Research) which is descriptive. Which in this study uses supporting data from previous studies. The results of the study show that the executive information system (SIE) has a significant effect on the trading price of share listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII).

Executive Information Systems are referred to as executive support systems. This system is an information system that provides flexible facilities for executives in accessing external and internal information that is useful for identifying problems. The system that runs at the Indonesian Compassion Foundation (YCI) in managing child development still collects data using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel so that school administration is still having difficulty inputting data relating to child development management. Based on the existing problems, to get maximum results, the authors designed a web-based computerized executive information system and used databases as child development data storage to reduce the difficulty of collecting data related to child development so that later they can produce reports effectively and efficiently.

Defining avoidable healthcare-associated harm in prisons: A mixed-method development study.

Reducing avoidable healthcare-associated harm is a global health priority. Progress in evaluating the burden and aetiology of avoidable harm in prisons is limited compared with other healthcare sectors. To address this gap, this study aimed to develop a definition of avoidable harm to facilitate future epidemiological studies in prisons. Using a sequential mixed methods study design we first characterised and reached consensus on the types and avoidability of patient harm in prison healthcare involving analysis of 151 serious prison incidents reported to the Strategic Executive Information System (StEIS) followed by in-depth nominal group (NG) discussions with four former service users and four prison professionals. Findings of the NG discussions and StEIS analysis were then synthesised and discussed among the research team and study oversight groups to develop an operational definition of avoidable harm in prison healthcare which was subsequently tested and validated using prison patient safety incident report data derived from the National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS). Analysis of StEIS incident reports and NG discussions identified important factors influencing avoidable harm which reflected the unique prison setting, including health care delivery issues and constraints associated with the secure environment which limited access to care. These findings informed the development of a new working two-tier definition of avoidable harm using appropriate and timely intervention, which included an additional assessment of harm avoidability taking into the account the prison regime and environment. The definition was compatible with the NRLS incident report narratives and illustrated how the prison environment may influence identification of avoidable harm and judgements of avoidability. We have developed a working definition of avoidable harm in prison health care that enables consideration of caveats associated with prison environments and systems. Our definition enables future studies of the safety of prison healthcare to standardise outcome measurement.

Digital technologies application as means of control and supervision in terms of management decision-making in the system of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of population (Army)

INTRODUCTION: It is impossible to improve medical supervision of military personnel’s service conditions and life in the near future without creating a global monitoring network, which in real time allows to evaluate all habitat critical points with the greatest impact on health and thereby to respond quickly to changes in the sanitary and epidemiological situation. It requires creation and development of an established information exchange system with the military authorities, external structures and units, undertaking timely measures to prevent or minimize the negative impact of various factors on individual and collective health.OBJECTIVE: Based on the analysis of literature sources and results of my own research make the case via digital technologies for combining into united information and analytical system executives of organizational, administrative, engineering and technical, health-care, veterinary and other measures, aimed at eliminating or reducing harmful effects of environmental factors on humans, thereby ensuring sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population (forces).MATERIALS AND METHODS: There was the analysis of articles, placed in the data base and information systems (scientific electronic library Elibrary.ru, RISC, Scopus), studying the possibility to apply digital technologies in control and supervisory activities in recent years. The following keywords were used: health and epidemiological welfare, digital technologies, medical examination, efficiency of preventive activities. To develop proposals on improving information and analytical system, the results of the author’s long-term studies, concerning the control features mainly of water and food factors, were also considered.RESULTS: The base of usefulness to involve preventive science in digital transformation of military medicine and to apply digital technologies in control and supervisory activities to enhance its impact was presented. Implementation of digital technologies in the system of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population (forces), especially in control and supervisory activities for water and food factors, will allow to increase the validity, quality and efficiency of management decisions of the preventive focus.DISCUSSION: To adopt digital practices in executive work of control and supervisory activities, information analysis, obtained in the process of medical examination and social-hygienic monitoring seems promising, as well as determining causation between staff health and effects of habitat factors. The data of observation and instrumental food, water control and other environmental elements were used in carrying out social-hygienic monitoring. To improve hygienic diagnosis, it is important to have progress regarding instrumental monitoring of military personnel’s health as well as their efficiency.CONCLUSION: The study showed the necessity primarily by means of digital technologies to unite executors of preventive (anti-epidemic) measures into a single automated information analytical system, aimed at eliminating or reducing the harmful effects of environmental factors on humans, preventing infectious and non-infectious diseases that helps to reach effective exchange of information between different ministries and departments. The authors came to the conclusion that digital transformation of the data on the habitat factor quality should primarily be developed with regard to water and food factors as it has the highest rank values.

Wrong site spine surgery in the U.K.: a review of current practice

Wrong site spine surgery is a rare but serious complication. The scale of the problem in the U.K. and the current practice of spine surgeons in localising the level whilst performing routine spine surgery is unknown. As these events are rare and their nature very disparate, it is necessary to identify whether there are any common themes to be able to take effective steps to mitigate this risk. A review was undertaken of the wrong site spine surgery incidents submitted to StEIS (Strategic Executive Information System), the system used to report and monitor the progress of Serious Incident investigations across the NHS. Subsequently a survey of the Society of British Neurosurgeons was undertaken to answer some of the questions which arose from this review. Up to half of spine surgeons surveyed by the SBNS admit to having performed wrong site spine surgery. 40 percent of wrong site surgery reported to NHSE was at the L4/5 level. What exactly constitutes wrong level spine surgery is not universally accepted by spine surgeons. The critical factors in causing wrong site spine surgery in the U.K. are explored. It is hoped that the results from this study would improve training, lead to better policies and support investment in trying to reduce this complication

PEMANFAATAN DIGITAL DASHBOARD RUMAH SAKIT DALAM PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN DAN PENENTUAN STRATEGI DI RUMAH SAKIT ANUGERAH KOTA PEKALONGAN

Background: In realizing a complete service, accurate and fast information is needed to produce strategic decisions. The dashboardis a product of technology, which is one of the tools for providing information for hospital management. The dashboard can present theinformation needed by the user in the form of visualization on a screen so that the director can read and understand the information provided easily. Objectives: This study aimed to describe the utilization of the Hospital Digital Dashboard in decision-making and strategy determination at Anugerah Hospital Pekalongan City and the obstacles of management.Methods: The study used a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The research samples were employees of Pekalongan CityAnugerah Hospital consisting. The research instrument used an interview guideline, voice recorder, and note taker. Data analysis usedinteractive model analysis. Results: The hospital executive information system makes it easier for executives to obtain information on all medical service activities such as Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Installation, and Medical Support to support decision-making for hospital executives. Digital Dashboard is a panel display created with computer software to display easy-to-read information. Digital Dashboard is a solution to meet the needs of accurate and fast data in an attractive visualization package Conclusion: The Digital Dashboard at Anugerah Pekalongan Hospital needs to be utilized optimally by making supporting tools in the form of policies and SOPs for implementers to improve the Hospital database so that later it can be processed and presented in the form of a Digital Dashboard

Executive Functions and Information Systems Learning

Information systems (IS) are complex and effortful, placing ever-greater demands on humans’ executive functions. Executive functions, general-purpose control processes that regulate one’s thoughts and behaviors, are the subject of growing investigation in cognitive psychology. The present research examines the relationship between individuals’ executive functions and IS learning. Using neuropsychological methods from cognitive psychology, we measured three key dimensions of executive functions: working memory, shifting, and inhibition. Two empirical studies were conducted. Study 1 tested the relationship between executive functions and IS learning in a self-paced offline learning environment. Study 2 replicated Study 1 and extended it to include a comparison of two self-paced online learning methods: behavior modeling and text-based learning. Both studies found significant effects of executive functions on IS learning after controlling for known IS learning determinants. Study 2 also showed that declarative knowledge was higher for behavior modeling than for text-based learning. Overall, our research highlights the influence of executive functions on IS learning. This research advances knowledge about determinants of IS learning and opens important research avenues for gaining deeper insights into cognitive mechanisms underlying effective IS learning.

Data Warehouse Modeling Using Online Analytical Processing Approach

Increasing business needs affect business competition in many companies that utilize information technology. The competition aims to gain advantages that utilize information technology in facilitating business processes. One of the conveniences offered is the use of information technology to support decision making in carrying out existing business processes in middle-to-upper scale companies that have large amounts of data. Online Analysis Processing (OLAP) is an approach method to present answers to the demand for a dimensional analysis process quickly, namely the design of applications and technologies that can collect, store, manipulate multidimensional data for analyst purposes. Information delivery generated from Online Analysis Processing (OLAP) can help executive information systems in generating sales reports because it has a response time of 0.0038769999519 seconds.

The Development of Information Technology and Its Influence on the Field of Management Accounting

This study aims to determine the impact of the development of information technology in the field of management accounting. The method used is descriptive qualitative research methods and library research methods. The results of this study include the development of information technology that has brought important changes to the business world. There are many types of information systems that use emerging information technologies, including electronic data processing systems, data processing systems (DPS), decision support systems (DSS), data processing systems, management information (MIS), executive information systems (EIS), expert system (ES)) and Accounting Information System (AIS). The development of information technology has also influenced the field of management accounting because it is a field where information is generated in the context of management planning, control, and decision making. These impacts can be beneficial or detrimental to the business.

Cybersyn, big data, variety engineering and governance.

This contribution offers reflections about Chilean Cybersyn, 50 years ago. In recent years, Cybersyn, has received significant attention. It was the brainchild of Stafford Beer, who conceived it to support the transformation of the Chilean economy from its bureaucratic history to hopefully create a vibrant and modern society, driven by cybernetic tools. These aspects have received much attention in recent times; however, in this contribution, I want to discuss how working in Cybersyn influenced my work after the coup of 1973. Perhaps, for me, its major influence was in the management of complexity, through what I refer here as variety engineering and through the Viable System Model VSM as a paradigm to the management of relationships with implications to enterprises, society and the economy. After the 1973 coup major interest was in technological aspects of Cybersyn such as real-time management and its contribution to decision support and executive information systems. In the late 70s I was personally influenced by information management, but by the early 1980s my work moved towards methodological aspects of how to use the VSM. By 1989 I had created the VIPLAN method (Espejo, 1989). Key questions I attempted to answer were, how to model the complexity of enterprises and their interactions with environmental agents. Later on, in the 1990s and 2000s, the main direction of my work was epistemological, ontological and methodological towards second-order cybernetics and relationships. Only in recent decades the political transformations proposed by Cybersyn have captured the imagination of many commentators. The confluence of social and cultural changes with information technology, data models, artificial intelligence, algorithms and several additional technological developments have challenged the excesses of capitalism, particularly after the banking crisis of 2008–2009. The purpose in this paper is discussing this evolution in the light of those early days in Chile.

Knowledge Transfer through Computer-based Systems in Manufacturing Networks: A Study on Albanian Plants

This study shows a general view about knowledge transfer between manufacturing plants in developing countries like Albania, which are part of multinational companies’ network (MCN). Part of this goal is the study of computer-based systems from conference calls and intranets to more advanced ones like data warehouses, management information systems (MIS) and executive information systems (EIS), as enablers of knowledge flow and absorptive capacity. The paper examines four case studies based on semi-structured interviews, where the data collected highlight a good coverage of computer-based systems in function of knowledge sharing. In half of the cases, this is done internally in the plant and not over the network of plants. We propose to upgrade where possible the systems used in a distributed way to have data and information connections across the network. In some cases, emerge barriers such as lack of time, lack of tolerance for errors, or the need for assistance. Conclusions show that staff training related to computer-based systems in the optics of knowledge enablers is important for the companies, while the incentives are not considered as a key factor for knowledge transfer.

The purpose of this research is to provide information to the wider community about APJ MEAT SHOP and make it easier for APJ MEAT SHOP in introducing the products being sold. The research method used is Waterfall. What can be taken from the creation of the Company Profile Website on the CV APJ MEAT SHOP are as follows: (i) The website is designed to run well according to the desired needs. (ii) The Company Profile Website is made based on the business processes that occur in the company.</em></p>

123 Supporting A Learning System in Paediatric Emergency Pathways; Using Organisational Comparisons, Serious Incidents and Near Miss Events To Improve The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Testicular Torsion

Abstract Introduction Scrotal pain is a common presentation to the emergency department requiring prompt investigation and management to identify testicular torsion. Using national data we aim to identify key suboptimal areas in the acute diagnosis and management of testicular torsion with a view to improving outcomes. Method A freedom of information request was made to all Trusts in England that manage testicular torsion. Serious Incidents (SI's) were analysed to see if those with Paediatric Emergency Departments fared better than those without. In addition, a qualitative thematic analysis of the NHS England Strategic Executive Information System database from 2007-2019 was undertaken, identifying common themes associated with orchidectomies and ‘near miss’ events in children. Results 304 serious incidents were returned with 62 Orchidectomies and 242 Near Miss Events. Misdiagnosis of symptomatic testicle was not significant when comparing ED to specialists (OR = 1.46, p = 0.3842). Atypical presentation resulting in orchidectomy was significant when comparing ED to specialists (OR = 6, p = 0.0355). Near miss events are due to a variety of factors. There was no statistical significance in incidents when comparing ED's caring for all ages with Paediatric EDs U = 807.5, z = -1.124, p = 0.261. Conclusions There's a need for education in ED about atypical presentation of testicular torsion and examination of scrotum in cases of lower abdominal pain. It's also vital that specialist teams are cognisant of the standard operating procedures relevant to scrotal pain. Finally, there should be a drive for annual audit in Urology and ED units with regards to testicular torsion as SI's may be under-reported.

Development Of Executive Information Systems Of Cirebon City Government (Case Study: Department Of Communication, Informatics And Statistics)

Purpose: Developing an executive information system to meet the information needs of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Regional Secretary and the heads of SKPD within the Cirebon City Government.Design / method / approach: Using the drill down method for solving information on executive information systems and the GRAPPLE system development methodResult: The development of an executive information system in Cirebon city government has assisted the executive, consisting of mayors, deputy mayors and regional secretaries and middle executives consisting of skpd within the Cirebon city government. Cirebon city government executive information system consists of five sectors in the city of Cirebon, namely economy, health, population, education and government. The results of the validation testing are 100% and the average user acceptance testing results are 85.29%.Authenticity / state of the art: Based on previous research, this study has the same characteristics but in the development of executive information systems it has differences in objects and methods of software development.

Implementation of Executive Information Systems in Decision Making in the Development of Branch Leadership Organizations of IPNU-IPPNU Pretek Central Java

Executive information system (EIS) is defined as a computer-based information system designed to provide executives with internal and external information that is easily accessible and relevant to management activities. The application of EIS in companies or organizations is expected to be able to help the work of leaders in making the right decisions. One of them in the development of branch leadership organizations of IPNU-IPPNU Pretek. This organization is a community organization under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama. Members of the student age where the state of environmental conditions and human resources that are still not considered important to technological developments. In order to maximize the role of the management information system. Members must jointly learn about the management information system. So that future activities facilitate work and can support the taking of executive holders.

Management Information System in Business Decision-Making
