Innovating examining in the direction of promoting technology, and bringing technology into exams is an inevitable trend because it minimizes unnecessary human intervention, approaching the world's examining and evaluation approach. Many universities around the world have been building online training systems to manage learning and organize online exams. This study builds a new monitoring function during the online exam process. A function is implemented on the computer device to detect the temporary exit behavior of candidates. Each time a candidate exits the test, the function will continuously save the screen image of the candidate's device in real time on the server. The images are saved as a basis for determining whether the contestant has cheated or not. The function is practically implemented in the subjects of 23 classes with about 1500 students from the 2021 to 2024 school year at Hanoi University of Education and gives accurate results in identifying cheating behavior of candidates with the rates according to school years being 40%, 19.37%, and 2.9%.

Assessing the Intersectionality of Language Anxiety and Outcomes for African Learners Writing Examinations in English

This study investigated the intersectionality of language anxiety, writing examinations in English, and outcomes for non-English mother-tongue learners in South Africa. The study focused on the impact of these three factors on learner performance and delved into this intersectionality by reviewing the literature on anxiety stemming from writing examinations and the impact of the language medium used in assessing learners. Qualitative document analysis was used to collect and analyse the data for this study. It involved gathering literature from psychology, education, and language studies to reveal a correlation between anxiety, writing examinations, and the Language of Learning and Teaching (LOLT). The study concluded that using English as a medium for examinations can have a negative impact on learners who may not be linguistically competent to express themselves effectively in English, even if they were taught using translanguaging pedagogies. It argued that the true potential and outcomes of learners will only be fully realised through the exam process if they are allowed to write examinations in their mother tongues; and recommended that the Department of Basic Education (DBE) should allow for examinations to be conducted in all official languages for all grades and encourage learners to write examinations in their mother tongues. The only examinations they should be required to write in English are those for English Additional Language, like Afrikaans mother tongue speakers who can write all their examinations in Afrikaans except for English as a subject. Sosialisasi Proctor Ujian Kompetensi Bahasa Jepang Internasional di SMA Kesatrian 2 Semarang

As one of the requirements to work in Japan, mastery of the Japanese language is very important. The Japan government stipulates that foreign workers entering Japan must have Japan language skills. The JLPT (Noryokushiken) is a Japan Language Proficiency Test held in Japan and abroad to evaluate and certify the ability of non-native Japan speakers to speak Japan. In Indonesia, especially Semarang, the implementation of the JLPT Exam is coordinated by Dian Nuswantoro University and in collaboration with Kesatrian 2 High School as the location of the JLPT exam and involves Kesatrian High School teachers to be used as assistant exam supervisors. The requirement to become a proctor is to understand all the rules during the exam process. Because the teachers of Kesatrian 2 High School have never been assistant supervisors of the JLPT exam before, there is a need for socialization about the rules of the JLPT exam. With this socialization, the assistant supervisors can carry out their duties in accordance with the rules set by the Japan government.

In reality, there are still many students who often have difficulty concentrating when faced with more complex subject matter, for example counting, memorizing, and so on. The aim of this service is to provide students with skills and understanding on how to increase focus and concentration in learning. They can choose acupressure massage therapy to increase students' focus and concentration in a safe manner so as to help with the school exam process. The service will be carried out on 13-14 November 2023, at SMAN 1 Kramat, for 40 students in classes X and XI.

Lean six sigma 4.0 methodology for optimizing occupational exams in operations management

PurposeThis paper explores Lean Six Sigma principles and the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) methodology to propose a new Lean Six Sigma 4.0 (LSS 4.0) framework for employee occupational exams and address the real-world issue of high-variability exams that may arise.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses mixed methods, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection. A detailed case study assesses the impact of LSS interventions on the exam management process and tests the applicability of the proposed LSS 4.0 framework for employee occupational exams.FindingsThe results reveal that changing the health service supplier in the explored organization caused a substantial raise in occupational exams, leading to increased costs. By using syntactic interoperability, lean, six sigma and DMAIC approaches, improvements were identified, addressing process deviations and information requirements. Implementing corrective actions improved the exam process, reducing the number of exams and associated expenses.Research limitations/implicationsIt is important to acknowledge certain limitations, such as the specific context of the case study and the exclusion of certain exam categories.Practical implicationsThe practical implications of this research are substantial, providing organizations with valuable managerial insights into improving efficiency, reducing costs and ensuring regulatory compliance while managing occupational exams.Originality/valueThis study fills a research gap by applying LSS 4.0 to occupational exam management, offering a practical framework for organizations. It contributes to the existing knowledge base by addressing a relatively novel context and providing a detailed roadmap for process optimization.

Change of Vegetative Indicators Due to the Influence of Emotional Tension of the Examination Process in 21-year-old Students With Choleric Type

One of the factors causing stress in society is exam stress. Taking exams is stressful and quite exciting in itself. However, under the influence of excitement, the student cannot show his little knowledge. From this point of view, the study of psychological and physiological development of students is also of special importance. The study is dedicated to the change of vegetative indicators due to the influence of the exam process depending on the temperament of the nervous system in students of the 5th year of choleric type. In this regard, the main goal of the study was to reveal the age characteristics of changes in vegetative indicators depending on the type of temperament as a result of the effect of emotional stress during the examination. In order to study the effect of the exam process on emotional stress, students were divided into three groups: The first group was students studying on regular school days 2 months before the exam, the second group was 30 minutes before the exam process, and the third group was the group after the exam and 30 minutes after the exam process. First of all, the physiological indicators of different states of excitement of the temperament type and the process of excitement were studied in the experiment. In order to comprehensively evaluate the effect of emotional stress, we measured the main hemodynamic parameters, arterial pressure and number of heart beats per minute. It was determined that, depending on the type of temperament, vegetative indicators before the exam process (heart pressure, systolic and diastolic pressure) of young people on an ordinary day, before and after the exam, are different. However, after the exam, these indicators do not fully return to the norm. The tone of the sympathetic nervous system prevails during the examination process in all age groups.

REAL TIME ONLINE EXAM PROCTORING SYSTEM IN HIGHER EDUCATION USING WEBRTC TECHNOLOGY

The low level of trust in online exam results from students is a major problem because it is difficult to monitor whether test takers are taking the exam honestly according to their own abilities. Even though it has been assisted by the presence of video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco Webex and similar applications, online exam proctoring is still unable to run effectively. Cheating in online exams, such as using dual monitors, is very possible for exam participants. Therefore, as a future preventive measure in the online exam process, a system is needed that can accommodate this concern. This research will create an online exam supervision system with WebRTC technology which has features to accommodate real-time supervision. The System Development Life Cycle method will be used in software development with 5 main stages, namely Requirement Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Maintenance. Implementation of the system was carried out during the online examination process for a class at one of the universities in Surabaya. Finally, the test results show that features such as: Live Proctoring get a score of 4.5; Attention Alert gets a score of 5; Exam Lock scored 4.5; Live Alert scored 4.5; and Tab & Window Detection got a score of 4; shows that this system has succeeded in providing a solution in online exam proctoring needs.

Analisis Smart School Manajemen Layanan Ujian Akhir Semester Pada Aplikasi Qualitiva menggunakan Framework ITIL Versi 3 di SMA

Smartschool is a school concept that uses information and communication technology (ICT) to support the learning and assessment process in the classroom. As is the case at SMA Negeri 22 which already uses information technology in the form of online-based exam applications, one of which uses Qualitiva for the end-of-semester exam process. The research was conducted with the aim of improving the quality of service in the Qualitiva online-based exam application. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The research results show that the implementation of the ITIL 3 framework in the qualitative online exam application can provide improved service management at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang by using the ITIL 3 Service Management Lifecycle which includes service strategy, service design, service transition, service operations, and service monitoring. Thus, based on the results of the smart school analysis, final semester exam service management in the Qualitiva application using the ITIL version 3 framework at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang can ensure that the services provided meet user needs and can be run effectively and efficiently. Qualitiva is provided by the SMA Negeri School. 22 Palembang based on IT can meet user needs and can be run effectively and efficiently in order to improve school management services at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang.

Exploring the potential of skeleton and machine learning in classroom cheating detection

<p>In recent years, there have been certain drawbacks in the behavior of students in school cultural activities, especially the frequent occurrence of cheating in exams. Although many manual cheating detection methods have been applied, cheating behaviors have become increasingly sophisticated and difficult to detect. This makes manual cheating detection methods unable to completely prevent cheating in exams. Therefore, applying advanced technologies to automatically detect cheating cases becomes necessary to help supervisors better control the exam process. In this study, we propose a model architecture to monitor students’ cheating activities during exams. Firstly, we apply YOLO - Pose to detect skeleton keypoints, which are then passed through machine learning models such as support vector machine (SVM), decision tree (DT) classifier, random forest (RF), extreme gradient bo osting (XGBoost), and propose the Ac Long short - term memory (LSTM) to detect cheating behavior. The experimental results show the feasibility of the model on various metrics. The model is tested on a dataset of cheating behaviors in the classroom, which is designed to simulate paper - based exams. Moreover, the results showed that the proposed method can detect cheating behavior in a short amount of time and can be deployed for real - world applications.</p>

Psycho-emotional factors play the main role among the factors that have a negative impact on health at a young age. Students have the concept of "exam stress", which occurs at various intervals before the exam. This process occurs over several days to several weeks, when anxiety develops during the post-exam exam. In this regard, the main goal of his work was to reveal the age characteristics of the changes in the bioelectrical activity of the brain, depending on the temperament type of the higher nervous activity, due to the effect of the emotional tension created in the examination process. The practical health of the participants and their voluntary participation in the research were considered important conditions. In order to study the impact of the exam process on emotional stress, students were divided into three groups: The first group included students who were on regular school days 2 months before the exam, the second group 30 minutes before the exam process, and the third group after the exam and 30 minutes after the exam process. These results show that the examination process has a different effect on the amplitude of EEG waves in the left and right frontal lobes of the brain before and after the examination. Therefore, both examination processes have both enhancing and depressing effects on the amplitude of EEG waves. It is very likely that at this age, it shows that the process of adaptation to the first exam process in students is not fully formed.

Evolution of a capstone exam for third-year doctor of pharmacy students

Background and purpose: Pharmacy capstone exams are an example of an assessment strategy to evaluate student competency and practice-readiness. Capstone exam processes have been discussed in the literature; however, description of format, evolution of the process, and implementation in the year prior to rotations is lacking. This manuscript discusses the development, implementation, and utilization of a third professional year pharmacy capstone exam to assess advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) readiness.Educational activity and setting: A pharmacy year three (PY3) capstone exam was initially developed prior to enrollment of the inaugural graduating class. Since the first iteration, utility has remained the same, but the overall development and implementation process has evolved due to changes in programmatic and student learning outcomes, curricular mapping, student and faculty feedback, and practice expectations.Findings: The entities responsible for exam implementation perceive faculty and students have a positive perception of the exam evolution and improvements implemented. Specifically, feedback from students and faculty mentioned clear expectations, comfort with the new capstone exam process, and an appreciation for the focus on interrater reliability. As assessment is an iterative process, quality improvement strategies continue to be implemented to address feedback regarding the PY3 capstone exam.Summary: Purposeful utilization of capstone exams in the third year is one method to assess APPE readiness. Sharing one college's experience with the evolution of such an exam, quality improvement methods, and experience in implementing reliability and validity measures may provide a model for institutions to implement similar assessment methods efficiently.

University Students' First Online Exam Experience: Is It Stressful or Joyful?

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine university students’ views on online exams during the pandemic. The study was carried out with the participation of 15 undergraduate students studying at an engineering university in Azerbaijan. Methods: Interpretive phenomenology guided the study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using content analysis. Results: Research findings showed that students experienced various problems in the online exam process. The inability to solve the technical problems encountered during exams and the perception that the instructors did not have sufficient knowledge about the conduct of the online exams made it difficult for the exam process to be carried out effectively. Conclusion: Research results indicated that students who are taking their first online exam bring attention to both the positive and negative aspects of the process and discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of online exams in this context. Implications: It is critical to develop infrastructure and train human resources at this point in order to easily adapt to different crisis situations that may arise in the future that require nontraditional assessment methods.

TEACHING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT THROUGH “SIULIN”

The exam is one of the curriculum implementation activities, which is part of the evaluation of learning activities. A midterm and final semester exam learning system is implemented in one of the integrated Islamic elementary schools in East Java. In contrast, currently, the exam is carried out manually on paper. It could be more efficient, especially with the use of paper. Besides that, the teachers will add working hours to correct exam results. An online exam application design is needed that can help teachers in the online exam process and corrections. The fundamental objective of this research is to create a website-based online exam information system at an integrated Islamic elementary school in one of the cities in East Java. The research method is descriptive qualitative to find facts and original information. Data collection techniques for information system development are used using observations, interviews, and literature studies. While the development method used is the waterfall method. The results of this study are that it can make it easier for teachers to carry out the process of evaluating, correcting, saving teacher time in correcting exam answers, helping teachers to recapitulate grades, reducing the impact of cheating during exams, reducing paper use and making it easier for students to see exam scores

Implementasi Metode LCG Pada Aplikasi CBT Untuk Tes Potensi Akademik Berbasis Web

In the Academic Potential Test of new students at the Raudhatul Akmal Islamic College (STAIRA) Batang Kuis, do not yet have a Computer Based Test (CBT) or a computer-based exam for the freshman academic potential test exam. So that the exam is still carried out manually and costs a lot of money in its implementation. But it also makes the exam process less carried out because some students can cheat when filling in answers by cheating friends. Therefore, in this study aims to create a web-based Computer Based Test (CBT) application and randomize the questions in it by applying the Linear Congruent Generator (LCG) method. The result of this study is a web-based application for academic potential test exams that are expected to overcome the problems that exist in the current STAIRA Batang Kuis. The order of the questions will be automatically randomized when students conduct an academic potential test exam based on their respective student identification numbers.

Comparison Of Changes In The Situational Anxiety Level Due To The Effect Of Emotional Stress Of The Exam Process In 21-Year-Old Students With Different Temperament Types

One of the main causes of psychophysiological stress in students is exam stress, which often leads to neuropsychological disorders as the final result. The main goal of the present study was to reveal the age characteristics of the changes in the psychophysiological-excitement level caused by the emotional stress due to the examination process in students. Psychophysiological studies of different states of anxiety were conducted 2 months before the exam, 30 minutes before the exam and 30 minutes after the exam with 36 male students of 21 years of age having different typological features of the nervous system at Ganja State University. Practical health and voluntary engagement of the participants in researches were taken as important conditions. The situational anxiety level increased after the exam at all 21-year-old students having different temperament types compared to normal school days and it was 4.6% in choleric students, 26.9% in sanguine students and 35.9% in melancholic students and the overall total indicator was 20.9% . The analysis of the numerical average of the situational anxiety level on normal days with the level after the exam shows that situational anxiety was higher in young people after the exam. Thus, though that the situational anxiety level in 21-year-old students of four temperament types changed dramatically before and after the exam compared to normal school days, the difference between groups and between temperament types was not statistically reliable and correct in some cases.

RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM UJIAN ONLINE BERBASIS WEB STUDI KASUS : MDTA NURUL HUDA PULOKALAPA

The development of science and technology in the current era of globalization is growing rapidly and rapidly. Responding to progress that continues to grow, with web technology an information system can be designed that is able to facilitate school activities. Exams are activites carried out by educational units to agencies to measure the competencies and abilities of the examinees. The exam process conducted by MDTA Nurul Huda is still done manually, by utilizing advances in computer technology, online exams can be conducted, so that the exam process can be carried out effectively and efficiency. The purpose of this research is to design and implement an online exam information system for the exam process at MDTA Nurul Huda. The data collection methods used in the preparation of this final project are observation, literature study and interviews. The design of this online exam information system is the best solution to achieve this. An activity that is effective and efficient in supporting activities at this school, the point is that exams with an online system are more practical, easier and make students more focused.

Implementasi Algoritma Multiplicative Congruential Random Number Generator Pada Aplikasi Seleksi Mojang Jajaka

Mojang Jajaka (MOKA) is one of icons of tourism ambassadors who come from most districts/cities in West Java. The selection of tourism ambassadors in Kuningan was organized by the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism (DISPORAPAR) of Kuningan, and the Mojang Jajaka Association of Kuningan. One of the series of activities carried out is participant registration and written test selection. Currently the registration process and the written test selection are still carried out conventionally by collecting hardcopy files and writing tests using a sheet of paper. This is considered less effective and efficient because using paper often causes problems, namely tucked, damaged, and easily lost. In the written test activities, cheating often occurs when filling out answers. This study aims to apply the Multiplicative Congruential Random Number Generator Algorithm in randomizing the questions on the MOKA selection test. The selection process begins with participants registering on the application. Then the participant logs in and after that the admin sees the participant data and then verifies the participant data. After that the admin will do question management, where the admin will input 30 questions. Then the participants will carry out the exam process. The Multiplicative Congruential Random Number Generator algorithm will work to randomize the questions from 30 questions and 25 questions will be issued. This application is made using the Java programming language, PHP, Javascript and MySQL database. This study uses the RUP (Rational Unified Process) methodology which consists of 4 stages, namely Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition. This study results a MOKA Selection Application that can simplify the registration process and written test selection for both participants and the Mojang Jajaka selection committee, Kuningan.
