Big gains in digital ecosystem niches: How facilitators emerge and develop into an organizational category

The digital entrepreneurial ecosystem is a complex and dynamic network of entrepreneurs, businesses, institutions, and systems that use digital technology to interact with one another. It is conducive to the creation, development, and sustainment of innovation in digital ventures. However, the building blocks of any digital entrepreneurial ecosystem remain loosely integrated and under-orchestrated in the early stages of its evolution. The entrepreneurial organizations that act as matchmakers and transaction catalysts have thus come to play significant roles in digital entrepreneurial ecosystems’ functioning, but the understanding of these roles remains relatively limited. Through an in-depth qualitative study of the organizational category observed within multi-channel network (MCN) organizations, a new type of intermediary role was identified and conceptualized as that of a facilitator in live streaming e-commerce, a new role in the digital entrepreneurial ecosystem. The findings suggest that the category emergence of facilitators is based on resource orchestration in the dimensions of people, goods, and scenes, enabled by three primary mechanisms: “novelty perception” (for category awareness), “exemplar projection” (for category scalability), and “structure shaping” (for category recognizability). The theoretical framework developed through this research contributes to the emergence of a new organizational category in the context of the digital economy, as well as offering practical guidance for the category strategy for venture growth in the digital entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Factors affecting the adoption of digital entrepreneurship: a survey of private schools in Nineveh Governorate in Iraq

Purpose This study aims to determine the factors affecting the adoption of digital entrepreneurship among the pioneers of private schools in the Nineveh Governorate, using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The study seeks to address an academic problem represented by the low level of interest in the research literature on digital entrepreneurship. By contrast, the problem in the field is the failure of several entrepreneurial organizations, in general, and private schools, in particular. Design/methodology/approach The researchers chose the private school sector in the Nineveh Governorate, Republic of Iraq, as the field of study. The targeted individuals represented school founders serving as investors and entrepreneurs, totaling 154 participants. The deductive approach was used as the main research method, with the survey approach as a sub-method. A questionnaire was used for data collection, and the researchers used structural equation modeling software, SmartPLS. Findings The results revealed that constructs such as effort expectation, social influence, facilitating conditions, behavioral intention and experience are factors contributing to predicting the transition to digital entrepreneurship. Research limitations/implications This study contributes to bridging the academic gap identified in previous research and addresses the spatial gap by focusing on private schools in the Nineveh Governorate. It aims to assess the level of interest in adopting digital leadership within this context. Practical implications One of the most important implications of the results of the current research is the potential expansion of the use of digital entrepreneurship by understanding the behaviors of entrepreneurs. This understanding can have positive outcomes in attracting broad segments of society to engage in this type of work due to its low costs, low risks and the absence of the need for practicing licenses. Such an expansion could contribute to the establishment of digital pioneering projects aimed at reducing unemployment in society. Additionally, this study offers insights that can guide policymakers in the country toward establishing digital business incubators that provide a suitable work environment for initiating and supporting such projects. Originality/value The current study presents a unique contribution, represented by using the UTAUT, to identify the acceptance of digital entrepreneurship in private schools in Iraq. This can bring benefits to entrepreneurs and educational policymakers in the country.

The effects of personal-organizational fit on employee’s positive work attitudes: An entrepreneurial orientation perspective

Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) has become a critical characteristic for individual career advancement and the development of corporate entrepreneurship. Nevertheless, the connection between personal-organizational fit regarding EO and the working attitudes of employees remains underexplored in the existing literature. This paper explores the impact of alignment between organizational entrepreneurial orientation (OEO) and individual entrepreneurial orientation (IEO) on employee’s positive work attitudes, focusing on affective commitment (AC) and organizational identity (OI). The foundation of research resides in the personal-organization fit theory, as well as social information processing theory. To rigorously evaluate our proposed hypotheses, we implemented a research design that incorporates polynomial regression with surface response analysis, sourcing our data from 292 valid survey replies gathered from personnel employed by private sector organizations in China. Results reveal a positive correlation between entrepreneurial orientation and positive work attitudes, but also a “too-much-of-a-good-thing” effect, where excessive alignment between IEO and OEO can lead to diminished positive work attitudes. These findings highlight the need for a balanced approach to aligning entrepreneurial values during recruitment and underscore the importance of supporting entrepreneurial employees in highly entrepreneurial organizations.

Management of The Head of Madrasah Aliyah in Entrepreneurship Development

Entrepreneurship in madrasah educational institutions is a necessity that must be carried out to support quality improvement with independent financing. This research has two main objectives: firstly, how the school principal manages to develop entrepreneurship in his institution, and secondly, how the Madrasah principal organizes the organization and implementation of entrepreneurship. This type of research is quantitative, where the data is obtained through informants. The location of this research is two madrasas in Tulang Bawang Regency. The informants for this research came from both madrasahs, namely the head of the madrasah, the deputy head of the madrasah, the head of administration, and the community around the madrasah. Furthermore, the data used is primary data obtained directly from informants through interviews. Test the validity of the data using data triangulation techniques. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques include the degree of trust, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The findings of this research show that the suitable abilities and knowledge of madrasah heads in entrepreneurship influence planning for future educational development. This is demonstrated in the creation of academic curricula. In MAN 1 and MAN 2 Tulang Bawang, all subjects must include entrepreneurship. Apart from that, the placement that will be responsible must be based on the area of skill.

SUSTAINABLE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE OF AMERICAN SOCIAL ENTERPRISES UNDER THE PRESSURE OF NEW TRENDS

With minimal federal regulation, state legislation and precedent in the United States, the institutional environment for social enterprises, the development of social responsibility of business and sustainable corporate governance has generally been formed. It is distinguished by active support for social initiatives of business, a minimum of administrative barriers and interference in matters of their internal management, and the presence of special legal regimes. At the same time, the economic effectiveness of sustainable corporate governance is not known; its principles are also not enshrined at the federal level, but are implemented through the charters of corporations and social entrepreneurship organizations. The type and specifics of sustainable management depend on the type of organization. They are fully implemented in the organizational and legal forms of SPC and BC. The main problem in implementing the principles of sustainable management by the owners and management of social corporations remains the search for a balance between profit and social interests, including an objective assessment of the level of achievement of the latter. This balance is achieved not by the application of corporate law, which varies from state to state, but by the application of the business judgment rule, based on precedent, which implies a high degree of discretion and the difficulty or even impossibility of an objective assessment. Sustainable corporate governance is under increasing pressure from multidirectional non-economic trends leading to socialization, greening and politicization of business to the detriment of its traditional goals. The American federal, decentralized model of legal regulation of social entrepreneurship does not correspond to the development trends of the Russian legal system, where the trends of centralization of regulation dominate. The American legal model of sustainable corporate governance is implemented mainly in large international corporations, which no longer exist in Russia, which significantly reduces the relevance of the experience.

Presenting a Paradigmatic Model of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Growth in Business Units (Case Study: Home Appliance Manufacturers)

Objective: The current research aims to present a paradigmatic model of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship towards sustainable economic growth in business units (Case study: Home appliance manufacturers). This study is applied in purpose and descriptive-analytical in nature. Method: The research method is qualitative. The population of this study includes academic experts and executive managers in the home appliance industry, calculated as 11 individuals through snowball sampling and theoretical saturation point. The data collection tool is semi-structured interviews. The analysis of this part is conducted using grounded theory. Findings: The qualitative research results propose the desired paradigmatic model, emphasizing the response to the main research question in the form of six main categories and subcategories. Conclusion: Causal factors including organizational entrepreneurship, development of products based on industry standards and competitive advantage. Contextual factors include government support, developmental infrastructures, and financial support for standardization in entrepreneurship. Intervening factors include the product quality condition for competitiveness, sustainability categories, and attention to labor. Strategies include reforming laws, developing science and technology parks, and accelerating capital turnover. Outcomes include commercial and economic liberalization, development of the innovation and technology ecosystem, and increased productivity. The core category includes technology, ideation, employment generation, and international competition.

Entrepreneurship in religious organizations: How the Church of England developed an entrepreneurial orientation

Prior research established that religion shapes country-level entrepreneurial activity as well as individual-level entrepreneurial decisions. The organizational level has received less research attention. It is particularly unclear how the combination of entrepreneurship and religion is forged in established religious organizations. Through a historical case study of the Church of England’s efforts toward developing an entrepreneurial orientation (EO), my paper sheds light on that issue. The findings indicate that, in religious settings, an entrepreneurial orientation materializes through a lengthy, contested process. Two mutually reinforcing mechanisms – polysemy dynamics and idea sedimentation – play an important role in this process. I theorize that these mechanisms, despite delaying EO development, address resistance and thereby drive progress toward a comprehensive entrepreneurial orientation.

Artifact concreteness as imprinter in the organization design process

The fundamental purpose of design is to construct artifacts which interface inner and outer systems. Recent work in entrepreneurship makes a compelling argument that opportunities represent an artifact which interfaces inner systems of the entrepreneurial firm with outer systems of customers, markets and supplier stakeholders. In this formulation, opportunities might emerge from one of two ideal forms of design, namely experimentation or transformation. We build on such work, exploring a different artifact - the entrepreneurial organization. Adopting a design perspective, we compare the trajectories of two ventures with relatively similar starting points, but imprinted by different artifacts which encouraged the use of design approaches of experimentation in one and transformation in the other. We expose critical areas of divergence in the organizations that emerge. Imprinted by a trove of available concrete artifacts, the organization employing experimentation features dense, strongly tied networks, a more loyalty and work oriented culture and a simpler, less flexible, more incremental strategy. By contrast, the organization imprinted by penurious resources employed transformation, and features less dense, weakly tied networks, a more political, status oriented and discursive culture, and a more flexible, growth-oriented strategy. The practical implication of our work lies in the insight that through starting endowment imprint and design approach, future entrepreneurs might build features into the ultimate artifact they create - the organization itself.

Development of Social Entrepreneurship Organizations Based on Social Bricolage and Diamond Models to Support Village Tourism Innovation

A country's economy can be categorized as being in good condition if all components have a positive contribution to the country's economy. We can understand that the smallest component in a country's economic development is the synergy of the village economy. One sector that can be a strength of the village economy is tourism. Based on this, researchers are called to direct this research to the development of village tourism. This research is a qualitative type, so data is taken from field observations and interviews. Social bricolage (SB) provides an opportunity to create an inclusive tourism economic development model for underprivileged communities to be empowered in developing their regions with the concept of local wisdom in a sustainable manner. The social entrepreneurship organizational development model using the Diamond Model and social bricolage encourages business model innovation and social entrepreneurship in the field of village tourism. Based on the previous description, we can conclude that this research will have a positive impact when the concept of entrepreneurship development based on social bricolage and the diamond model is implemented well. This research will measure these two concepts so that appropriate conclusions can be drawn.

The Relationship between Intellectual Capital and Entrepreneurship in Private Higher Education Institutions in Benghazi – Libya

The study aims to addressing and defining the concept of intellectual capital and its relation to entrepreneurship in business organizations. Also, to identify the reality of the performance of educational institutions in Benghazi and assess the level of interest in the requirements of the transition to the adoption of intellectual capital as one of the elements of important assets. In addition to reaching results that may help to achieve entrepreneurship for the study sample as well as provide a proposed vision for development. The study population included the members of the teaching staff of the medical colleges at the Libyan of Medical Sciences University for the period from December 2022 to February 2023. The data for this study were collected by distributing a questionnaire form on a random sample of the study population. The study variables included intellectual capital in its three components as an independent variable, and entrepreneurship as a dependent variable. The statistical program SPSS was also used to analyze the data obtained. The results showed that there is a statistically significant correlation between intellectual capital and entrepreneurship, which led to acceptance of the null hypothesis and rejection of the alternative hypothesis. The study also recommended expanding the study to include the other private universities in Libya, as well as conducting such studies to include Libyan business organizations. In addition, to employing intellectual capital components in business organizations more effectively, in order to enhance their positive impact in achieving entrepreneurship.

Interest linkage models between new farmers and small farmers: Entrepreneurial organization form perspective.

Improving the interest linkage models between new farmers and small farmers is an important measure to realize the organic connection between small farmers and modern agricultural development. Based on the survey data of 572 new farmers in 16 provinces in China, this study uses the ordered probit model to empirically analyze the impact of entrepreneurial organization form on the interest linkage models between new farmers and small farmers. The results show that: (1) The choice of different entrepreneurial organization forms such as individual operation, cooperative operation, partner operation and company operation by new farmers will significantly affect the degree of interest linkage and then the linkage models. Partner operation and company operation have significantly improved the tightness of interest linkage between new farmers and small farmers. (2) The form of entrepreneurial organization significantly impacts the interest linkage between new farmers and small farmers. The higher the stability of entrepreneurial organization form, the closer the interest linkage and the more significant the impact on the interest linkage models. This effect remains significant after considering potential endogeneity issues and robustness tests. (3) In addition, further research also found significant regional differences and group differences in the impact of entrepreneurial organization form on the new farmers and small farmers' interest linkage models. The impact of the western region is more significant than that of the eastern and central regions, and government entrepreneurship support policies can significantly strengthen the interest linkage models. The research results of this paper have vital reference significance for exploring the path of agricultural modernization under the "big country with small farmers".

Corporate Effectuation in the Digital Age: the Role of Absorptive Capacity and Digital Skills

Effectuation has become a highly influential decision-making logic for entrepreneurs. While most studies have viewed effectuation as an approach to managing resource constraints in the new venture context, few of them have directly investigated the effects of effectuation as an approach to absorptive capacity (AC) in the corporate context. Specifically, the relationship between the usage of an effectual logic and its impact on the knowledge of individuals remains underexplored in corporate entrepreneurship (CE), i.e., entrepreneurship in incumbent organisations. Moreover, in a digital world characterised by the growing proliferation of digital technologies, digital skills can support the learning and knowledge absorption process of individuals in incumbent organisations facilitating the development of corporate innovation. By using the survey data from employees of an incumbent firm, we test hypotheses developed to examine the relationship between effectuation and entrepreneurial orientation (EO) as well as the mediating role of AC and the moderator role of digital skills in this relationship. The empirical results generally support our hypotheses by showing that (i) effectuation positively influences AC, and (ii) digital skills have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between effectuation and AC. No significant results emerged concerning hypothesis (iii) AC mediates the relationship between effectuation and EO. Drawing upon the findings of this study, we reframe effectuation as a concrete activity that enhances knowledge absorption and enlarges the scope of opportunities, and in turn fosters entrepreneurial actions in organisations. In doing so, we advance the extant understanding of corporate effectuation in the digital era, providing also managerial implications.

The residents' participation in tourism based social entrepreneurship organization: Evidence from residents’ perception on ecosphere social enterprise

The main objective of this study is to investigate the residents' perceived benefits (economic, infrastructure development, quality of life, environmental conservation and cultural development) by participating in tourism social enterprises (TSE) formation and implementation phases. Specifically, this study uses Ecosphere social enterprise as a case study to assess the residents' participation in two different phases of TSE. To achieve the study objective, we collect field-based data on four locations (Kaza, Langza, Komic and Dhankhar) in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The survey was carried out in September 2019 and qualitative techniques were used for the analysis. The results reveal that the residents play an important role in TSE formation and development phases, where the tourism benefits have a mediating role. The overall results indicate that the residents' participation in the TSE development phase yielded higher benefits than the formation phase. Management implications1)In order to effectively encourage local residents to support all stages of tourism social enterprises (TSE), strategic tourism plans should be reviewed from each perspective based on the economic and Non-economic factors of tourism on local residents.2)Local residents in formation stage have less interaction with tourism activities and tourists and thus have limited knowledge about TSE strategies for tourism development than they do in the development stage. Therefore Social enterprises should allow residents to access the information and encourage them to participate decision making in all stages.3)Some tourism services were provided by a few residents in developmental stage, the economic benefits to all residents appear to be limited. Therefore, the residents also did not perceive many economic benefits from TSE in the developmental stage. Therefore, TSE managers must ensure that direct employment is provided to residents to ensure that tourism revenue is distributed among a greater number of residents.

Теоретичне підґрунтя організації екологічного підприємництва в контексті концепції сталого розвитку

The article is devoted to an in-depth study of scientific approaches and laws of the organization of ecological entrepreneurship. The relationship between the provisions of the concept of sustainable development and the need to organize ecological entrepreneurship and economy with the natural environment is outlined. The possibilities of business in the green economy regarding the formation of the effect, the creation of “ecological business” taking into account the concept of sustainable development are substantiated. The author sets tasks that must be solved in the development of ecological concepts related to ecological and economic problems. The author's vision of the concept of “ecological entrepreneurship” is presented in the context of scientific consideration of ecological and economic tasks based on the innovation process and aimed at protecting the ecosystem and people. The author recommends determining the essence of “ecological entrepreneurship” using ecosystem, eco-innovation, organizational, standardization and global approaches. The author of the article proposed an adapted organizational base for evaluating the structure, processes, influencing factors and effectiveness of the development of ecological entrepreneurship. According to the author, the development of ecological entrepreneurship is a global challenge, therefore it is necessary to focus on supporting the integrity of the economic and ecological system by developing and implementing effective measures for organizing and conducting business without harming the environment. The development of ecological entrepreneurship can become a guide on the way to sustainable economic development of the country as well as of the most countries of the world.

The relationship between organizational culture and organizational entrepreneurship of employees of Sports and Youth in Hamadan province, Iran

The purpose of this study was to the relationship between organizational culture and organizational entrepreneurship of employees of Sports and Youth in Hamadan province, Iran. This is a descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population of the study was all employees of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Hamadan Province, whose number is 125 people and due to the limited statistical population, total number sampling, was used. To measure organizational culture, Denison's organizational culture questionnaire was used, which included 60 questions and 4 components of involvement in work (participation), similarity (compatibility or integration), adaptability, and mission and to measure organizational entrepreneurship, Margaret Hill's organizational entrepreneurship questionnaire was used, which includes 13 questions and 4 components of organizational actions, individual attitude, flexibility and entrepreneurial culture. These questionnaires are used as a useful tool. Cronbach's alpha coefficient in this study for organizational culture components is 0.944 and organizational entrepreneurship components are 0.839, which indicates the high reliability of the questionnaires. The validity of these questionnaires was also confirmed by sports management experts. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze them. In the descriptive statistics section, the frequency and percentage of cumulative frequency were used, in the inferential statistics section, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to normalize data distribution. Pearson and Regression correlation test using spss.25 software was used to test the implementation hypotheses.

Теоретико-методологічні засади інклюзивного розвитку підприємництва і суб’єктів агробізнесу

Agribusiness is one of the critical elements of the national economy responsible for food production and supply. Due to globalization, climate change, and military actions, domestic agricultural producers face numerous challenges that require a paradigm shift in business practices. In addition, current trends in the global economy indicate an active growth in the importance of inclusiveness as a mainstream business organization. This is especially relevant to the agricultural sphere, where an inclusive approach can solve the problems of inequality of income distribution, lack of access to resources and markets for products, involvement of all groups and strata of the population in economic activity, etc. The article aims to systematize and improve the theoretical and methodological framework for the inclusive development of entrepreneurship and agribusiness. The theoretical and methodological basis of inclusive entrepreneurship and agribusiness has been studied. It has been shown that the concept of inclusive development of entrepreneurship and agribusiness actors is a logical continuation of the methodology development of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in the context of globalization and growing social inequality. It has been determined that inclusive development of an enterprise is a strategic orientation towards creating such a corporate culture and working conditions when each employee feels his importance, recognition, and the opportunity to develop and realize his potential, regardless of his social, economic, or other status, to achieve the general well-being, sustainable development of the enterprise itself and the territorial community in which it is located. It has been argued that an inclusive approach to the organization of entrepreneurship and agribusiness contributes to sustainable, socio-ecologically balanced economic growth and social justice, biodiversity conservation, reduction of carbon emissions, adaptation to climate change, re-socialization of people with special needs, including veterans of military operations, and the formation of a democratic civil society. Entrepreneurial orientation as a theory of new value creation

Explaining how and why entrepreneurial orientation (EO) enhances firm outcomes is critical as it explicates specific causal mechanisms and boundary conditions. However, despite over 40 years of inquiry, a theory gap is evident in much of the research that links EO to firm performance outcomes. In this study, we inductively derive EO as a theory of new value creation based upon an increase in consumer benefits (or reduction in costs) made possible through a commitment to continuous novelty within an organization’s product-market offerings. In addition to offering a theory explaining how and why EO creates new value through product-market variance as a new causal mechanism within the EO literature, our research affords practitioners greater insight into what to expect from EO and when it may be most gainfully employed in pursuing firm growth. To this end, our study considers relevant boundary conditions to applying our theory and what our theory implies for future research exploring organizational entrepreneurship.

Female Entrepreneurship in the Creative Economy

This paper aims to bring a deeper understanding of the different types
 of entrepreneurship social, female and creative by understanding their common grounding beyond profit orientation. Starting from the literature review and then policy frameworks, our goal is to offer conceptual similarities and differences between the three types of entrepreneurship. Our central hypothesis is that all three types of entrepreneurship hold the same fundamental grounding reflected through their mission and vision –beyond profit orientation as a particular interest in entrepreneurship. What are the key differences between these types of entrepreneurship? What is their denominator? The literature review will be crossed with empirical findings from cultural and creative industries and policies on the example of design industry actors in Belgrade. Such an approach will contribute to mapping and deeper understanding of existing creative entrepreneurship, which is gender-sensitive, responsible, and share the mission and vision beyond profit orientation. 
 We came to the empirical findings from our interviews and focus group discussion. The vast majority of from examined sample of entrepreneurial organizations within the Belgrade Design District see themselves as responsible entrepreneurs. According to their daily, monthly and yearly practices, most of them fit under all three types of entrepreneurship – by contributing from the sphere of fashion and crafts (wider creative and cultural industries). On the example of Belgrade's fashion and craft design sector, we can conclude that all three types of entrepreneurship overlap - as socially responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship led by creativity, innovation and experimental work.
