Enterprise Resource Planning: Analysis and Utilization of Open Source Applications with the EAP Method

System automation is currently very much needed for the small and medium business industry to large-scale companies. The computerized systems concept is increasingly in demand due to the shift in the industrial era 4.0. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a multi-module application that puts forward the concept of an integrated computerized system that stores all company data in one easily accessed database. This study discusses open source ERP applications for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises by looking at the running business processes that will then adjust to the ERP application module facilitated by the developer. The Enterprise Architecture Planning method acts as an analysis stage and a tool used in business process analysis using the Unified Modeling Language to identify all actors involved and a matrix of relationships between data entities, business processes, and applications. This research provides recommendations modules that can use in open source ERP applications appropriate for the company.

Optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications on The Crew Contract Extension System At PT. Sinarmas LDA Maritime

Technological developments are needed in today's digital era because they can help all human activities. PT. Sinarmas LDA Maritime created an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application. The ERP application is used to simplify employees' work in inputting data and monitoring the working period of the crew and the validity period of documents. However, in using the ERP application, there are obstacles to the crew contract extension system, which still uses paper forms, so inputting data into the application takes a long time. Besides that, the ERP application is very dependent on the internet network. This study aims to determine the constraints in optimizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications on the crew contract extension system with the addition of problem solvers. This research method uses a qualitative description approach by conducting observations, interviews, literature studies, and documentation directed at competent and directly involved informants and using SWOT analysis techniques to determine strategic factors for optimizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications by linking research data results. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that optimizing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application in the crew contract extension system is filling in crew data that still uses paper forms and is dependent on the internet network. Using a paper form is changed to using a G-form so that the input of crew data for extended counters is more effective and efficient. As well as the need for outreach to the ship's crew in order to know the stages of filling in the data. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application is in a progressive strategy position, meaning that obstacles in optimizing ERP applications can be overcome because the company is able to take advantage of its strengths and opportunities.

The conclusion of the study emphasizes the significant benefits of data science in the ERP industry, including self-service analytics, predictions, and prescriptive analysis.

Analisa Penerapan Sistem Enterprise Resource Planning dan Manajemen Rantai Pasokan Pada PT Semen Padang Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Perusahaan

This study aims to analyze the application of enterprise resource planning and supply chain management systems from PT Semen Padang in improving company performance. Analyzing the obstacles experienced by PT Semen Padang in implementing the ERP system in its business processes. The research method applied in this study is a qualitative method and Secondary Data Analysis (ADS), namely using and analyzing existing data without having to conduct surveys and interviews. The results obtained from this study are that there is an increase in the performance of the company's supply chain by implementing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as evidenced by an increase in the amount of cement production in the following year.

Penerapan ERP Frontaccounting Pada Sistem Pembelian, Penjualan Dan Stok Barang di PT. Laba Usaha Mandiri

PT Laba Usaha Mandiri is one of the start-up companies engaged in the sale of oil palm. The system of purchasing, sales, and inventory of goods is done manually with the help of a computer. However, to record finances and a more controlled business, it is necessary to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application in the company. The results of the application selection analysis show that the FrontAccounting Application is a suitable application for the company. Therefore, the implementation of the application is carried out at the company. after that the system is checked to ensure that the ERP application is appropriate and can run as expected. This test is based on the literature method and the existing business processes at PT Laba Usaha Mandiri. From the test results, it is concluded that ERP is in accordance with the business needs of the company.

Analisa Pengaruh Penerapan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) terhadap Kinerja Supply Chain Management (SCM) pada PT Toyota Astra Motor

Technological developments in the world have changed companies to participate in using technology as a means of improving company performance. Companies can implement information technology systems that assist in terms of finance, company audits, and supply chain management (SCM) performance which is called enterprise resource planning (ERP). This study will discuss the effect of implementing ERP on SCM performance at the company PT Toyota Astra Motor. The method used is a qualitative approach and also a study of literature. PT Toyota Astra Motor has implemented an ERP application that is used, namely SAP (Standard Application Product in Data Processing) version ECC 6.0 and also has supply chain management which helps in expediting and accelerating the company's production and marketing processes to meet the needs of their consumers.

Adaptability of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for cost management of building construction projects in Sri Lanka

PurposeEnterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that are equipped with numerous features and functionalities help to improve the profitability of construction corporations around the world through enhancing the efficiency of the functions related to cost management. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the applicability of ERP systems for cost management of building construction projects in Sri Lanka.Design/methodology/approachA qualitative technique was used in this study, which comprised two-round Delphi-based semistructured interviews. Purposive sampling was used to determine the interviewees. Content analysis was used to evaluate the collected data.FindingsThe findings of this study identified the ERP system as a strategic tool for gaining a competitive advantage for an organization while confirming 14 uses of ERP systems and 16 stages of the cost management process. Eighteen issues were finalized at the end of the interview rounds while categorizing the suitable ERP applications at each stage of the cost management process.Originality/valueEven though there are numerous distinct studies conducted on cost management and ERP systems, there has been a lack of studies conducted on the synergy between these two areas that can be adapted for the building projects in the Sri Lankan context. Therefore, the findings of this study can bring a new paradigm to the Sri Lankan construction sector by influencing the adaption of correct ERP systems at numerous project stages by providing a competitive edge.

Investigation of ERP application based on technology acceptance model in Vietnam

In the era of Industry 4.0, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is regarded as the most powerful tool, remaining at the top of the automation pyramid because it integrates data from all business areas within the organization. A survey was used in this study to investigate the effects of technology acceptance on end user satisfaction—a case study of an ERP application in Vietnam. A sample of 175 end-users (no discrimination based on nationality) working in many companies in Vietnam that use ERP in daily tasks was chosen for the study using a combination of convenience sampling and snowball sampling. SEM (Structural equation modeling) was used to analyze data from 175 ERP end users. The findings provide empirical evidence for the relationship between selected determinants and end-user satisfaction as measured by perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. More importantly, this research provided principals and top managers with a better understanding of the importance of professional interaction between end-users and vendors/consultants (service quality), training, and its effects on end-user attitudes, which leads to overall activity improvement.

This paper aims to find out the extent of the use of OpenBravo software in an enterprise's ERP. Then compare OpenBravo with other Open Source ERP applications like Odoo. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) plays an important role in organizational management. especially in the field of information systems, to produce precise and accurate data. OpenBravo is web-based software and open-source web-based ERP solution for small and medium-sized enterprises and is released under the OpenBravo PublicLicense, under the Mozilla Public License. Openbravo provides a web-based interface, where users can view production, inventory, customer information, order tracking, and workflow information. The modules contained in Openbravo software include general settings, master data management, warehouse management, procurement management, project and service management, production management, sales management, and financial management. In this case, the ERP used is OpenBravo. Comparison with other types of ERP will be carried out and will be discussed in more detail related to the advantages and disadvantages of each ERP discussed. After the comparison and the advantages and disadvantages are discussed, then finally conclusions are made from all the discussions carried out. In this case, the writing methodology used to complete this paper comes from a literature study which contains several things such as the concept of OpenBravo, how OpenBravo works, and the advantages and disadvantages of OpenBravo when compared to other ERPs.

Reengineering Proses Bisnis Toko Oleh-Oleh Menggunakan Enterprise Resource Planning Odoo 13 dengan User Acceptance Test sebagai Metode Pengujian Sistem

Business process engineering is carried out on the business process of Wardani’s souvenir shop which is located at Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud. This shop was chosen as the research use case because the shop is located in a strategic tourist location in the center of Ubud. Reengineering is focused on the Wardani Store’s business activities in the purchasing, inventory, and sales business functions, where at the time the research was conducted, all processes were still using the manual method. This method often causes problems, such as uncontrolled purchasing of goods, errors in recording purchases and sales of goods, length of calculation in transactions, and unclear information on availability of goods. Therefore, an approach is needed in developing an integrated system in the company's operational activities, and the application of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) can be an alternative in overcoming the problems experienced. ERP implementation is carried out by identifying ongoing business processes for purchasing, inventory, and selling goods, then making an integrated system proposal by implementing Odoo 13. System testing is carried out using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method which is a final testing method for developing a product to validate whether the system built is in accordance with the user's needs or not. The system test results show that the Odoo ERP application is considered quite successful in helping companies in purchasing, inventory, and selling goods, so that business processes become more effective and efficient

Critical Competencies of Supply Chain Leaders During Digital Transformations

Organizational leaders have increasingly turned to enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, also known as decision support systems, to make their firms’ operational, tactical, and strategic processes more efficient and effective in the changing global marketplace. High failure rates in ERP systems implementations make these projects risky, however. Most prior research on critical success factors for conventional ERP implementation has been on large enterprises, resulting in a gap in knowledge on these factors in the small and medium enterprises that constitute the majority of U.S. employer firms. A qualitative modified Delphi study with an expert panel of U.S. manufacturing consultants and three iterative rounds of data collection and analysis revealed consensus on 8 critical success factors in ERP implementations, with the highest agreement on top management support and commitment, enterprise resource planning fit with the organization, quality management, and a small internal team of the best employees. In addition to furthering knowledge in the fields of leadership and enterprise applications, the study expands enterprise resource planning experts’ and scholars’ understanding of strategies to improve project success and the triple bottom line for any size enterprise in the manufacturing industry. Practitioners in the ERP industry can also apply approaches outlined during ERP implementations to mitigate risk during these engagements. Implications for positive social change include additional job opportunities and higher wages through increased efficiencies in ERP applications.

This paper is intended to determine the application of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and the quality of accounting information systems towards the implementation of internal control over financial reporting at PT. Waskita Tbk. The population in this study was PT Waskita Tbk employees who were under the Division I office in charge of the Sumatran region with a total population of 552 employees, with a sample used by 100 employees. Data analysis method in this study uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the simultaneous Corporate Resource Planning System and the quality of the accounting information system influence significant effect for the assistance of internal control over financial statements. While Enterprise System Resource Planning has a significant effect on internal control over financial reporting, accounting accounting information systems have a significant effect on controlling financial reporting. Researching to improve internal control over reporting, PT. Waskita Tbk. Continue to renew the use of information technology to be able to increase the use of internal control.

Job satisfaction of users in enterprise resource planning system environment- the case of Vietnam

In the context that the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system becomes more and more popular, this study seeks to investigate the relationship between task-technology fit (TTF) and job satisfaction to provide an additional evidence for evaluating the success of ERP application. Data was collected from a survey on 225 users of ERP systems in enterprises in Vietnam. The results from PLS analysis revealed that TTF is positively correlated with job satisfaction in an ERP environment. This study provides empirical evidence for the application of background theories including TTF and information systems success by DeLone and McLean. In addition, the results also added to the literature the success of ERP, in particular the job satisfaction of ERP users. On the basis of these results, businesses can plan to apply ERP to increase the job satisfaction, thereby increasing the likelihood of success in ERP application. At the same time, ERP vendors and implementers can provide better advice and support for their customers.

Customer Claims in Automobile Spare Parts Industry – A 3PL Perspective

Automobile OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) has two key lines of business. One being the main equipment sales and the other being spare parts associated to the original equipment. This line of business is either called as After Sales Market / After Market / Spares Market. As part of wear and tear of spare parts of original equipment service and replacement of spare parts comes into picture. A 3PL organization is selected by OEMs to manage their after sales service. Primary responsibilities of a 3PL includes warehouse management where the spare parts of OEMs are received, stored, order processed and delivered to OEM’s end customers. Hence, 3PL companies have major share in ensuring accurate delivery of spare parts to OEM’s end customers. Any wrong or shortage or excess delivery (which is termed as Customer Claims) impacts the customer satisfaction level and adds up logistics cost to both 3PL organization and OEM. This paper aims at evaluating the core reasons behind customer claims. In completing this research, the population selected for study is from 3 leading automobile OEMs and 1,00,000 samples. The results have shown that the key drivers of customer claims are due to stock management in warehouse managed by 3PL organization in following areas of operation.  Inbound (Gate entry of vehicles, Unloading, Physical verification of unloaded stock, Physical putaway of parts in warehouse storage locations)  Outbound (Customer order registration, Picking instructions from the sales order processing system, Physical picking of parts, Packaging of picked parts, Despatch and Delivery at customer end) In the above-mentioned key process areas ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) application or WMS (Warehouse Management System) or Inventory Management application plays a significant role in avoiding or minimizing customer claims. Apart from applications and Information Technology systems, skill of staff and operatives, discipline of operatives, system controls influence extensively in customer claims to be generated. Background/Objective: To investigate deeper into causes that impact customer claims from 3PL service provider view. Methods / Statistical analysis: The results are based on about 1,00,000 samples for a periodicity of 6 years from 3 major automobile industry linked 3PL organization. Results/findings: The claim samples showed significantly higher due to pick issues ~ 41.7% and wrong labelling issues ~ 42.34%. Other reasons contribute about 15.96% Conclusion: The analysis offers a clear distribution of root causes in the collected samples.

An Evaluation of Customer Satisfaction towards the Employee Self-Service Feature of Oracle’s PeopleSoft System

This study focuses on evaluating the success of information systems based on user satisfaction towards the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) application in PT. Bank XYZ, which in this case is the HR Application. This study adopted the Delone and McLean IS Success Model to test the relationship between variables (System Quality, Information Quality, Service Quality, Use, User Satisfaction and Net Benefits). The research data was obtained through literature reviews, interviews, and questionnaires with 175 respondents who were users of the HR Application at PT. Bank XYZ. The questionnaire data was analyzed using an SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) program version 25. The analysis shows positive and significant results from the nine hypotheses. The results of the study addressed Service Quality, Use, and Net Benefits with an average of under 4.00 required development to improve employee satisfaction, which in this study there are recommendations for further development.
