The utility of a five-qubit entangled state for quantum teleportation, quantum state sharing and superdense coding is investigated. The state can be utilized for perfect teleportation and quantum state sharing of an arbitrary single- and two-qubit state. The capacity of superdense coding of the state reaches the "Holevo bound", which means that five classical bits can be transmitted by sending three qubits. The preparation of the five-qubit state and detection of the multipartite states in cavity QED are discussed. With the assistance of a strong classical field, the photon number dependent parts in the effective Hamiltonian are canceled. In addition, our scheme does not require the Bell-state measurement directly and the success probability can reach 1.0 in our scheme.

REMOTE STATE PREPARATION OF QUANTUM STATES VIA CAVITY QED

In this paper, we give an experimentally feasible scheme for the remote state preparation by the prior share of an entangled state in cavity QED. The whole process of the remote state preparation for a single-atom state and a two-atom entangled state is shown. We find that only one classical bit and one single-atom state measurement is needed for the remote state preparation of a multi-atom entangled state.

Transferring a cavity field entangled state in cavity QED

We propose a scheme for transferring an entanglement of zero- and one-photon states from one cavity to another. The scheme, which has 100% success probability, is mainly based on a two-mode cavity dispersively interacting with a three-level atom in the Λ configuration and does not involve Bell-state measurement. This scheme can also be used to teleport an unknown atomic state.

Generation of arbitrary two-qubit entangled states in cavity QED

We present a scheme for the generation of arbitrary two-qubit entangled states between two cavity fields via interaction of an atom resonantly interacting with classical and quantized cavity fields. The controlling parameters are the interaction times with these fields.
