Due to the rise in electric vehicles, air conditioning, and home appliances in India, the demand for electricity is rising quickly. The uninterrupted supply of electricity to vital loads like hospitals and consumers is crucial and is a major issue for the electricity provider. Many consumers in India are impacted by electric power outages. One of the causes is faulty distribution transformers. Local distribution transformers are more susceptible to faults since they don't receive routine maintenance. The overloading of the transformer during peak hours is another factor. In this study, a transformer power monitoring system is proposed. It measures the transformer's current, voltage, and temperature, and uploads the recorded data to the cloud. The data helps to see any abnormal condition in the transformer and alerts the authority to take action. The proposed system can be used to prevent the overloading of the transformer by using controllable loads like electric vehicles. These loads can be disconnected from the transformer during peak loading to reduce the chance of failure causing an electrical power outage for all.
