An Integrated Approach of Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System and Dynamic Data Envelopment Analysis for Supplier Selection

In this study, in order to consider the future efficiency of suppliers as well as their precedent efficiency in supplier selection process, first, the input, output and link of the suppliers were forecasted by adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). Then, the future and precedent efficiency of the suppliers were determined using the forecasted values and dynamic DEA. Then, the more efficient supplier was selected with regard to the efficiency concepts. Some further studies have been also taken for application of the recommended procedure, as using the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the criteria including price, delivery, quality, service, eco-costs and capacity of electronic trading were considered for selection of suppliers. The findings indicated that the recommended method has more accuracy and less error for forecasting the efficiency of suppliers. Also, two candidates have been selected eventually as the most efficient suppliers of the company.

Factors influencing industrial procurement for supply chain professionals in Bangladesh

Abstract: Procurement is one of the key re-investing areas for business. Where 55% of revenue is spenton procurement of raw materials (Baily, 1987). For procurement, Supplier selection is core activity, as Shen and Yu (2013) and (Jafarnejad and Salimi, 2013) considers the efficiency of suppliers and is one ofthe most important competencies for the success of the entire supply chain. This study learns andcontributes the factors that affect Industrial Procurement decision while selecting suppliers. The purposeof this study is to observe the effect of independent variable (Cost of Product, Ease of BusinessTransaction, Delivery Performance, Reliability) on dependent variable (Procurement decision).The studydescribes that the relation between dependent variable have significant relationship with Procurementintention. This is quantitative study and sample size of this study is 204 and 12 questionnaires were usedfor collection of data. All of the respondents were supply chain/Procurement professionals from 140organizations in Bangladesh. The results of the study identified the mutual relationship among the allvariables. But Cost of Product and Reliability are highly considered followed by medium extent ofconsideration for Ease of Business and Delivery performance.

Sustainable supplier evaluation and selection with a novel two-stage DEA model in the presence of uncontrollable inputs and undesirable outputs: a plastic case study

Today in the global market, sustainable supply chain management has turned into a significant issue for managers and researchers. Selection and evaluation related to the rewarding and satisfying supplier are one of the main points in each supply chain. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a popular method to measure the performance and efficiency of suppliers and organizations. In this study, a novel two-stage DEA network model is proposed in the presence of uncontrollable inputs and undesirable outputs with considering the set of intermediate elements between two stages to evaluate and select the best sustainable supplier. The provided model is applied in a plastic case study by ten decision-making units (DMUs) as suppliers or alternatives to denote validity and applicability of the suggested model.

Evaluating green suppliers: improving supplier performance with DEA in the presence of incomplete data

The role of the supplier and relationship management with the supply base in purchasing is increasingly appreciated. This highlights the importance of pre- and post-qualification data, and the need for the focus to shift from selection to rating and mapping opportunities for development in the process of relationship management. From a decision-theory perspective, this means that suppliers need to be informed about how specific performance indicators should be improved to increase their prospects of qualifying for selection. From the supply management point of view, it is important that the efficiency of suppliers is increased to the level at which criteria are met. We employ a DEA model to parameterize the related data, making it treatable using fuzzy or interval DEA models. The problems associated with missing and imprecise data in such models can also be solved using parametric linear programming. However, this approach means that technology coefficients are also parameterized, for which good analytical solutions are lacking. We therefore approach the problem using simulation.

A joint measurement of efficiency and effectiveness for the best supplier selection using integrated data envelopment analysis approach

Selecting a superior supplier is one of the most important tasks in supply chain management (SCM) which requires effective purchasing strategies. Thus, purchasing departments are looking for the kind of strategies in which can determine the efficiency and effectiveness of suppliers. This paper proposes a model for measuring efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall efficiency of suppliers in supply chain management. In addition, to rank suppliers, this paper proposes a novel super-efficiency formulation of data envelopment analysis (DEA). A numerical example addresses the applicability of the proposed model in supplier ranking context.

Hybrid Recommendation Technique Selection Center Donated Bags with Data Envelopment Analysis

The main purpose of this paper to present Natural Disasters problem case study Thailand flood 2554 To hybrid recommendation technique Selection center donated bags is deemed to be one of challenging problems that can be used to imply the management competency due to the fact that it is a difficult and complicated task in logistics supplier function. This article aims to introduce an approach to measuring the Shelters performance by using Data Evaluation Analysis. The DEA is a linear programming-based technique with less complication and exists an available method of simplex algorithms to solve the problem for measuring the efficiency of suppliers. The paper illustrates how to apply the DEA technique by using the data collected from donor bags person plant, which is making contact with 10 center donated bags to provide required for the Shelters plant. To evaluate the performance of the center donated bags, the procurement department employs input criteria of quality, and delivery. The results of the evaluation indicate that there are only center donated bags marked as relative efficient firms and the remaining 10 center donated bags are sorted as non-efficient firms. In addition, the results can be used to create negotiation strategies performance for send bags the Shelters from the inefficient center donated bags by using the value of reference time, weights. Specifically, the inefficient center donated bags will have to reduce the value of the input criteria by the proportion of reference weights in order that the inferior center donated bags could be attained to the benchmark points of relative efficiency.
