The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of intellectual capital disclosure using Intellectus Model, information asymmetry, and profitability through the ratio of ROA (Return on Assets) on real earnings management in primary consumer goods companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2015-2019 period. This research is a quantitative study which using secondary data that were obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the form of annual financial report. The sample selection used is purposive sampling method in order to obtain 25 companies. The criteria used in this study were as follows: sample selection criteria and for companies that have been registered since 2014, not classified as primary consumer goods or agricultural food product industry, and have complete financial report data from 2015-2019. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) through the Statistical Package for the Science 25 (SPSS 25) program with data tabulated using Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate that: intellectual capital disclosure using Intellectus Model has no effect on real earnings management, information asymmetry has a positive effect on real earnings management, while profitability through the ratio of ROA have no effect on real earnings management.

Pengaruh Intellectual Capital Disclosure, Keputusan Investasi, Struktur Modal, dan Kebijakan Dividen terhadap Nilai Perusahaan

The purpose of this research is to see the effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure, Investment Decisions, Capital Structure, and Dividend Policy on Firm Value. The population in this study are food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2020 period. This study used a purposive sampling method and obtained 17 sample companies. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis method which is processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 application. The results of this study indicate that disclosure of intellectual capital has no effect on firm value. investment decisions have a positive effect on firm value. Capital structure has a negative effect on firm value. Dividend policy has a positive effect on firm value.

INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL VALUE AND DISCLOSURE OF INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL ON FIRM VALUE

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the value of intellectual capital and disclosure of intellectual capital on the company value of state-owned enterprises which are listed on the Indonesian stock exchange partially. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data in the form of values or numbers obtained from financial reports. The source of data in this research is secondary data. The population in this study are state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015 -2019. By using the purposive sampling method, the total sample in this study is 45 data from 9 companies. The data in this study will be tested with several stages of testing, namely descriptive statistical tests, classic assumption tests (normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test), and testing all hypotheses through the partial test (t test) and coefficient test determination. The research findings lead to several concrete conclusions. Firstly, the study reveals a significant negative effect of intellectual capital value on firm value for state-owned companies in Indonesia. This suggests that intellectual capital alone does not guarantee an increase in firm value. Secondly, the research demonstrates a significant positive effect of intellectual capital disclosure on firm value. Active disclosure of intellectual capital information positively influences stakeholders' perceptions and builds confidence in the company's potential, ultimately enhancing firm value

The Influence of Intellectual Capital Disclosure and Profitability on Company Value

This study aims to determine the effect of intellectual capital disclosure and profitability on company value. The sampling method used is purposive sampling with a sample of 67 companies in the manufacturing sector in the period 2018 to 2020. The hypothesis test uses multiple linear regression analysis and the F test which is processed using SPSS software. The test results show that each variable of intellectual capital disclosure and profitability has a positive effect on company value. And simultaneously variable intellectual capital disclosure and company value have a positive effect on company value. The results of hypothesis testing show that intellectual capital disclosure and profitability are information that is considered a positive signal by investors so that it helps increase the value of the company. The implications of this research are aimed at companies and future researchers. The implication of this study concludes that the disclosure of intellectual capital disclosure and company profitability is positive information that will meet the information needs of investors so as to increase company value. This study uses different proxies in measuring research variables and there are also differences between companies and years of research.

Pengaruh Karakteristik Komite Audit dan Rasio Keuangan terhadap Pengungkapan Modal Intelektual

This research is aimed to examine the influence of characteristic of audit committee and financial ratio to intellectual capital disclosure. Characteristic of audit committee was identified by size of audit committee and meeting of audit committee. Intellectual capital disclosure was proxied by disclosure index, while financial ratio was measured by Return On Assets (ROA) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). The study used 17 companies as a sample from a population of 20 BUMN go public companies listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period of 2012-2017. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling. The results showed that characteristic of audit committee proxied by the size of audit committee and meeting of audit committee had no effect of intellectual capital disclosure. In the other side, financial ratio was proxied by profitability had positive significant effect of intellectual capital disclosure, while leverage had negative effect of intellectual capital disclosure.

The Impact of Intellectual Capital Disclosure and Type of Ownership on Evaluation of a Company's Financial Performance after IPO

This study aims to determine the effect of Intellectual capital Disclosure (ICD) and the type of ownership on financial performance after the IPO in short and medium period. This study uses a quantitative approach and multiple regression analysis. Data was obtained from prospectuses and financial statements of companies that conducted IPOs on Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2000-2015. The population in this study was all companies that conducted initial public offerings from 2000 to 2015, as many as 316 companies and 234 companies were selected as samples using purposive sampling methods. The results showed that Intellectual Capital Disclosure had a significant positive effect on short-term (1-year) and medium-term (3-year) financial performance post-IPO, however, type of ownership has no effect on short or medium-term financial performance post-IPO. These results show that the degree of intelectual capital disclosure can control the company's performance for the better. This provides broad insights for decision makers.

Governance Mechanism, Intell ectual Capita l Disclosure, a nd Firm Value

This study entitled the influence of corporate governance mechanism on firm value with intellectual capital disclosure as an intervening variable. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effect of board size, gender diversity, educational background, block holder ownership, and foreign ownership both simultaneously and partially on intellectual capital disclosure and firm value. This study examines the mediating effect of intellectual capital disclosure in the relationship between corporate governance mechanism and firm value. This study used the companies included in intellectual capital intensive industries in Indonesia Stock Exchange as the sample for 2017-2019. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, with 243 data from 81 companies. Analysis techniques used in this study were statistic descriptive, multiple regression, and path analysis used SPSS 23 for windows. The hypothesis testing results show that corporate governance mechanisms simultaneously influence intellectual capital disclosure (ICD) and firm value. Partially, only board size influences both ICD and substantial value, and educational background only influences strong value. The Sobel test shows that ICD doesn't mediate the effect of all variables related to corporate governance mechanism on firm value.

The Effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure on the Cost of Equity in Islamic Banking

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of disclosure of intellectual capital in which there are variables of human capital, structural capital, and relational capital on the cost of equity in Islamic banking. The population determined in the study includes all Islamic banking companies registered with Bank Indonesia for the 2017-2019 period. The technique used for sampling in this research is purposive sampling technique. The types of data used in this study are earnings per share (EPS), book value per share (BVPS), stock prices and company disclosures regarding intellectual capital contained in the annual reports of Islamic banking. Sources of data obtained from the official website of each Islamic banking company. Data collection techniques were carried out using the documentation method. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis using a statistical tool in the form of SPSS version 25. The results of the study stated that human capital had no effect on the cost of equity, while structural capital and relational capital had an effect on the cost of equity.

The Population are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016 – 2020. The samples of this study are forty-four companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) selected by using purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used is multiple regression model. Based on the hypothesis tasted proves that the intellectual capital disclosure and profitability have the positive and significant effect on firm value. Firm value is able to provide maximum welfare to shareholders. An increase in share prices can reflect the company's assets.

Street earnings as a mediator of the effect of intellectual capital disclosure, customer value, and research development activities on firm value

This study is driven by the phenomenon of earnings indicators that can mislead investors due to managers' personal interests. As a result, investors would seek alternative earnings through analysts serving as intermediaries, referred to as street earnings. Street earnings are considered more predictive, informative, and more likely to be used to assess firm value. Furthermore, non-financial information from the corporation can affect street earnings. As a result, this study attempts to determine whether street earnings affect firm value while also determining whether it can mediate the relationship between non-financial information on firms with firm value. This analysis makes use of 392 observations from manufacturing firms between 2015 and 2020. SPSS 25 and the Sobel test are used to conduct data analysis. One of the three hypothesis is proven, namely that research and development activities directly and indirectly affect street earnings and firm value. If street earnings can moderate the relationship between the two variables, this conclusion is also supported by the Sobel test.

The Effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure Disclosure on Profitability and Firm Value in Banking Companies Listed on the Stock Exchange 2015-2019

This study aims to analyze the effect of intellectual capital disclosure on financial performance and firm value in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2015-2019 period. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method. The number of companies that were sampled in this study were 14 banking companies listed on the IDX in the 2015-2019 period. The data used is secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is PLS 3.2. The results of this study indicate that Intellectual Capital Disclosure affects the company's financial performance (ROA) in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2015-2019 period. Intellectual Capital Disclosure has an effect on firm value in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2015-2019 period.

PENGARUH PENGUNGKAPAN MODAL INTELEKTUAL TERHADAP BIAYA MODAL EKUITAS

The cost of equity capital is the rate of return expected by investors, which must bepaid by the company as a form of return on the capital provided by investors to thecompany. This study examines the effect of intellectual capital disclosure and its threecomponents, namely human capital disclosure, structural capital disclosure, andrelational capital disclosure on the cost of equity capital. The population in this studyare banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019.Based on the purposive sampling method, 165 data were obtained. The test resultsusing ordinary least square regression showed that the disclosure of intellectualcapital, disclosure of human capital, disclosure of relational capital had a significantnegative effect on the cost of equity capital. However, the disclosure of structuralcapital has no effect on the cost of equity capital

The Effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure Disclosure on Financial Performance and Firm Value in Banking Companies Listed on the IDX

Important information for investors in making investment decisions is reflected in the financial statements. Investors certainly expect a high rate of return from the funds invested in the company. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of intellectual capital disclosure on financial performance and firm value in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015 – 2019. Through the criteria in the purposive sampling method, a sample of 14 banking companies was obtained. The panel data regression analysis technique is Partial Least Square (PLS) regression analysis. The panel data will be analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). And obtained the results that (1) Intellectual Capital Disclosure has an effect on Financial Performance, (2) Intellectual Capital Disclosure has an effect on Firm Value.

The effect of ownership structure on social and environmental reporting in Nigeria: the moderating role of intellectual capital disclosure

Purpose This paper aims to examine the effect of ownership structure variables on social and environmental disclosure practice in Nigeria. The paper also investigates the moderating impact of intellectual capital disclosure on the relationship between ownership structure elements, social and environmental disclosure. Design/methodology/approach The paper adopted the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) disclosure framework to extract social and environmental disclosure information from corporate social and environmental reports of 80 companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The study spanned from 2012–2017. Management ownership, foreign ownership, block ownership and dispersed ownership are considered as determinants of social and environmental disclosure. A multiple regression analysis was used to test the relationships specified in the study. Findings The result of the descriptive analysis has shown evidence of a low-level disclosure of social and environmental information in corporate reports (annual reports and corporate social and environmental reports) of companies. From the regression analysis, block ownership, foreign ownership and dispersed ownership are found to enhance the disclosure of social and environmental information in the corporate report of companies. However, management ownership was found to be insignificantly related to social and environmental disclosure. The result also revealed that intellectual capital disclosure has a significant positive effect on the relationship between management ownership, foreign ownership and dispersed ownership, social and environmental disclosure. However, intellectual capital disclosure does not moderate the relationship between block ownership, social and environmental disclosure. Originality/value This paper is the first to empirically examine the moderating effect of intellectual capital disclosure on ownership structure variables, social and environmental disclosure. The result of the study offer researchers a better understanding of the impact of ownership structure variables on social and environmental disclosure. The findings are useful to researchers, corporate managers, policymakers and regulatory bodies.

Intellectual Capital Disclosures and Corporate Governance in Gaining the Firms’ Non-Discretionary Profits and Market Value in ASEAN-5


 
 
 This study aims to find the effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure (ICD) and Corporate Governance (CG) on firm performance in ASEAN countries. Firm performance is divided into accounting-based performance and market-based performance. The accounting-based performance consists of Non-Discretionary Net Income (NDNI) and Cash Flow Operations (CFO), while market-based performance consists of Tobin’s Q and Market-to-Book Ratio (MBR). The measurement of ICD components uses a scoring system. The sample of this research is 112 firms in the industrial technology listed in the stock exchange of ASEAN-5 between 2011 and 2018. This study finds that NDNI increases when firms increase RCD quality. No ICD components are capable of affecting CFO. On the other hand, SCD is a variable that decreases NDNI value. BGEN is found to reduce NDNI and CFO values. RCD is also the only ICD component that can increase market-based performance, especially MBR. HCD consistently lowers the values of MBR and Tobin’s Q. BSIZE holds a significant role in raising Tobin’s Q score, and BGEN lowers MBR instead. BIND has no part in the market-based performance, but it significantly lowers NDNI value. This study adds another view to ICD’s benefits from two firm performance perspectives, accounting-based performance and market-based performance, especially in ASEAN-5.
 
 

Suatu Model Pengungkapan Informasi Modal Intelektual, Nilai Perusahaan dan Harga Saham

This study conducted modeling of intellectual capital, firm value and stock price, with the aim of knowing the effect of intellectual capital disclosure on firm value, the effect of intellectual capital disclosure on stock prices and also the effect of firm value on stock prices carried out in banking companies in banking Southeast Asia. The sample selection method used in this study was purposive sampling. Of the 285 banks in Southeast Asia, 222 banks were found to be the samples of this study. The data is processed using the STATA application. The results of this study indicate that the increase in intellectual capital information disclosure carried out by banking companies in Southeast Asia cannot significantly affect the increase in firm value, while on the same occasion the increase in intellectual capital information disclosure itself can significantly affect the increase in stock prices. in the market and other results also show that the increase in firm value can significantly affect the increase in stock prices in the market. The application intellectual capital information disclosure is considered important to optimize stock prices in the market. Penelitian ini melakukan pemodelan akan intelectual capital, nilai perusahaan dan harga saham, dengan tujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengungkapan modal intelektual terhadap nilai perusahaan, pengaruh pengungkapan modal intelektual terhadap harga saham dan juga pengaruh nilai perusahaan terhadap harga saham yang dilakukan pada perusahaan perbankan di Asia Tenggara. Metode pemilihan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Dari 285 bank di Asia Tenggara, maka didapati ada 222 bank yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Data diolah menggunakan aplikasi STATA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peningkatan pengungkapan informasi modal intelektual yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan perbankan di Asia Tenggara tidak dapat secara signifikan mempengaruhi peningkatan nilai perusahaan, sementara pada kesempatan yang sama peningkatan pengungkapan informasi modal intelektual itu sendiri dapat secara signifikan mempengaruhi peningkatan harga saham di pasar dan hasil lain juga menunjukkan bahwa meningkatnya nilai perusahaan dapat secara signifikan mempengaruhi peningkatan harga saham di pasar. Penerapan dan pengungkapan informasi modal intelektual dipandang penting untuk mengoptimalkan harga saham di pasar.

Effect of intellectual capital disclosure on cost of equity capital: a study on Indian companies

PurposeThe impact of the intellectual capital disclosure (ICD) on the cost of equity capital (COEC) is not well established in the aspect of the Indian scenario. So the objective of this paper is to examine not only the overall effect of ICD but also the individual effect of human capital disclosure (HCD), relational capital disclosure (RCD) and structural capital disclosure (SCD) on COEC.Design/methodology/approachThis research work is conducted by regressing COEC, firm size, leverage, industry type and disclosure index. The disclosure index is prepared based on content analysis of disclosure made in the annual reports of a sample of 50 companies listed in the Nifty 50 index for the year 2018–2019. But in this paper 20 companies are eliminated due to their negative COEC and rest 30 companies are used as the sample companies for this study.FindingsThe outcome of this study indicates a negative association between the disclosure of intellectual capital (IC) as a whole and the COEC. But a negative association only for two components (human capital and structural capital) with the COEC is found only when the association of COEC with the categories of ICD is considered.Originality/valueThis is the first study that examines the nexus between the level of ICD and its impact on the COEC in India context.

The Mediating Effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure Between Firm Characteristics and Firm Value: Empirical Evidence From Indonesian Company With Non-recursive Model Analysis

Based on the signaling theory, this study seeks to explain the interaction of corporate value and the disclosure of intellectual capital in a framework of analysis of recursive models. Testing the recursive model also involves firm size and company growth as a characteristic of the company to clarify the mediating role of intellectual capital in mediating both of the firm's values. We find a positive relationship between firm size and growth on intellectual capital disclosure. The greater the size and growth of the company, the more it encourages companies to disclose intellectual capital in the company's annual report. Also, we find a non-recursive model between intellectual capital disclosure and firm value. This shows that the broader the disclosure of IC information by the company, the better the investor's perception of the company is reflected in the value of the company. Meanwhile, at different times the current condition of the company's value will encourage companies to disclose more complete IC information.

The Effect of Intellectual Capital Disclosure, Corporate Governace, and Firm Size on Firm Value

This study aims to analyze the effect of intellectual capital, corporate governance and firm size towards firm value. The research method used is panel data regression analysis, by using purposive sampling method, there are eighty one companies from 2012 – 2017 period and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The result show that, intellectual capital disclosure and firm size have a significant negative effect on firm value. Furthermore, institution ownership have a significant positive on firm value. Intellectual capital disclosure, institution ownership and firm size simultaneously have a significant on firm value, with the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.90, indicate that all independent variables can explain the variation of firm value of 90%, whereas the remainder of 10% is explained by other factors not included in the model.
