This paper examines the direction of future education through a community development innovation school that is a case study for solving problems in local communities with university student-resident participation jointly by industry, government and academia. Based on the university's mission, we analyze the conceptual development process and content of the social responsibility of Japanese and Korean universities, and examine its essence. In addition, from the standpoint of solidarity between the university and society, in the process of collectively solving problems through education, the mutual responsibility of individuals and society is increased, and the social responsibility of education to promote individual self-realization and social growth. Make sense of core values. ESR explores the meaning of new education and strategies in the process of resolving social issues with new educational approaches. In the process of solving social problems, it cannot be solved by the power of individuals alone, and a network of diverse social members and social resources is required. It can provide suggestions for future education through a cyclical relationship that reflects, improves, and develops continuously in the process of solving social problems.

Forced to Go Digital?

With the global outbreak of COVID-19, not only were everyday museum practices affected like never before, but pre-existing problems in the education field were exacerbated. COVID-19 forced children’s museums in particular to take on even bigger educational responsibilities. Through examples from the United States, this paper analyzes how children’s museums came to fulfil their educational potential through their digital programming and related initiatives, thus also amplifying their civic engagement within their local communities. In addition to giving an overview of the available literature, the analysis found that during the pandemic children’s museums supported families of school-aged children and formal educational institutions, which were dealing with the effects of growing digital exclusion. This exclusion was alleviated througha range of digital and non-digital solutions, including virtual experiences and participatory family activities, delivering learning kits, and providing technical or physical infrastructure to school classes. By creating both digital and analogue surrogates for physical exhibitions and education, comparing initiatives and perceived purposes of these programs, the inherent cultural and human value of museums as essential human spaces—not just for objects, but for a high standard of education—can be seen.

Innovation Research on the Training Mode of “Double Tutor System” integrating Production and Teaching in Hotel Management Specialty of Higher Vocational Colleges: Stakeholder Perspective

The “double tutorial system” education mode of hotel management major in higher vocational colleges is an important link in the construction of professional teaching staff. The core of this mode is that students get dual guidance from the school and the enterprise in both theory and practice. In the implementation process, we should make full use of school-enterprise resources, set up a double-tutor teaching team, implement incentive measures, and establish a guarantee mechanism, so that both the school and the enterprise can invest high-quality manpower, guaranteed material and financial resources, assume the corresponding responsibility of education, teaching and daily management for the quality of the students cultivated by cooperation, and seek the education effect that the school-enterprise students can win.

Obstacles in Responsible Character Education for Grade 4 Elementary School Students during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The purpose of this study was to determine the barriers to learning responsibility for character education in an elementary school located in Sidoarjo Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative phenomenology with the type of case study research. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students at SDN Kedungcangkring. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that in planning schools for character education, responsibility had been prepared during the covid-19 pandemic, but had several obstacles that occurred. This can be seen from the results of the study which show that the implementation of character education for students' responsibility in schools is still hampered by factors from the students themselves and the environment around them.

When the Light Goes Out: Ignorance and Multiplicity in Teaching and Learning

Purpose If education is the movement from dark to light, what does it mean for the light to go out? Following this question, this paper examines how conceptions of ignorance inform and are embedded in ideas of learning and pedagogy. Design/Approach/Methods Through historical and contemporary examples, I ask how an understanding of ignorance as absence frames some forms of teaching and learning, how ignorance might be understood differently, and how a different formulation of ignorance creates possibilities for imagining teaching and learning otherwise. Findings The framing of ignorance as absence articulates a distance between knowing and not knowing that defines what I call explicatory spacetime. This arrangement positions ignorance as a social problem and schooling as a solution aimed at closing the gap. I point to ways this framing persists today in research and practices that posit the acquisition of positive knowledge and the eradication of negative ignorance as a foremost educational responsibility. Originality/Value Engaging work across science and technology studies, psychoanalysis, and the philosophy of education, I argue that alternative conceptions of ignorance often maintain associations with absence. Building from this scholarship, I ask how reframing ignorance through multiplicity, that is, within a field of possibility out of which a thing called knowledge can cohere, offers a different framework and pedagogical arrangements. Finally, I explore how reframing ignorance in a spacetime of multiplicity opens possibilities for understanding and enacting pedagogical encounters.

Japanese Pharmacists’ Perceptions of Self-Development Skills and Continuing Professional Development

The role of healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, is changing. Lifelong learning and continuing professional development (CPD) are more critical than ever for both current and future pharmacists in the face of global health challenges and new technologies, services and therapies that are continually and rapidly introduced into their daily practice. Currently, Japanese pharmacists' licences are not renewable, although most developed countries have a renewal system. Therefore, understanding Japanese pharmacists' perceptions of CPD is the first step in reviewing undergraduate and postgraduate education. The target population was Japanese pharmacists, i.e., community pharmacy pharmacists and hospital pharmacists. The participants were administered a questionnaire with 18 items related to continuing professional development. Our study found that regarding item "Q16 Do you think you need further education in your undergraduate education to continue your professional development?", (a) the ability to identify one's own problems and issues, (b) the ability to make plans to solve problems and issues, (c) the ability to carry out plans to solve problems and issues and (d) the ability to repeat steps of self-development, approximately 60% of pharmacists answered that these aspects were "necessary" or "quite necessary". As part of universities' responsibility for the lifelong education of pharmacists, it is necessary to systematically conduct teaching seminars or undergraduate education or postgraduate education on self-development while training pharmacists to meet the needs of citizens.

Medical Ethics of Pediatric Care

Clinical research ethics is founded on a few well-known rules and papers. The criteria differ from country to country, but the ideals of respect for humans, beneficence, and fairness remain consistent. These values are expressed in criteria for obtaining free and informed consent, minimizing risk or damage, and without disproportionately burdening or disadvantageous specific people. In hospitals, physicians frequently confront ethical difficulties that need appropriate abilities and the capacity to detect and manage. For research to be ethical, it must also be of such high quality and performed in such a way that it produces known and usable knowledge. Youngsters have a reduced ability for comprehension and may be more susceptible to compulsion. As a result, kids are seen as a particularly vulnerable demographic, and specific provisions for children are included in many standards. The level of risk permissible for minors participating in research is an important topic in these clauses. While it is widely acknowledged that children deserve special care due to their fragility, there is growing concern that children in general should not be disadvantaged by a lack of information because of decreasing research activities. The purpose of this study was to examine the ethical issues faced by physicians and nurses with medical education and pediatric care responsibilities, as well as whether those issues are related to their workplace, medical specialty, and area of clinical practice, as well as the primary role of parents and children in adhering to these ethics.

Exploring Global Justice and Personal Responsibility in Higher Education: Teachers and Students Perspective

This study explored the state of global justice, empathy, and personal responsibility that is substantial for individual and social development in the globalized era. The sample of this study were teachers (n= 454) and students (n= 202) from 6 public sector universities of Punjab using a multistage sampling technique. The researcher adapted Morais and Ogden's (2019) questionnaire to collect data related to global justice, empathy and personal responsibility. Perceptions of students and teachers were analyzed through descriptive statistics by calculating percentage, mean and standard deviation. The overall study revealed medium-level situations of justice, empathy and social responsibility among students and teachers of higher education. The exploring level of global justice, empathy and personal responsibility indicates that the behaviour of teachers and students in higher education is not at par with the desired behaviour of 21st-century teachers and students. It is recommended that the higher education system should cultivate global justice, empathy and personal responsibility through training, modelling by faculty and curriculum inclusion, media, technology, arts and dialogues with civil society.

Today, the world of education is experiencing a shift from its true values. The education system used places too much emphasis on intellectual aspects, textual values, and charitable morality. However, they pay less attention to aspects of personal character formation, value education, and sensitivity and social responsibility. This situation should not be allowed to continue. Now is the time for stakeholders who are involved in organizing education to return education to the "spirit" idealized by the father of national education, Ki Hajar Dewantara, regarding education that is free. This paper is the result of exploring Ki Hajar Dewantara's ideas on education. Done by using literature review. From the results of a literature search it was concluded that education that liberates will produce three types of people. First, it will give birth to humans who are not ruled by other people, but their minds can rule themselves. Second, giving birth to humans who stand tall because of their own strength. Third, to give birth to human beings who are capable of self-discipline, so that they do not interfere with the independence of others.

Corporate social responsibility and international students mobility in higher education

PurposeBuilding upon the attribution and brand resonance theories, this paper aims to investigate the effects of perceived corporate social responsibility (CSR) in higher education institutions on brand reputation, trust, equity and loyalty.Design/methodology/approachThe data for this study were collected from international students of one public and one private university in Malaysia. Partial least squares-structural equation modelling was applied to analyse the data.FindingsThe findings revealed very strong effects of perceived CSR on brand reputation and trust. Moreover, the results determined the positive effects of brand reputation and trust on brand equity and loyalty. Additionally, findings support the positive indirect effects of perceived CSR on brand equity and loyalty through brand reputation and trust.Originality/valueThis study provides unique theoretical and practical contributions which can inform countries how to attract international students, particularly in post COVID-19 era.

Education is an effort to prepare human resources who have expertise and skills according to the demands of nation building, the quality of a nation is very effective in the use of educational factors. The realization of a quality society is the responsibility of education, especially in preparing students who are creative, independent, and professional in their respective fields. This study discusses the use of the cooperative script model on student learning outcomes in the material to identify the requirements for installing floor and wall tiles, natural stone and artificial stone. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes on the material to identify the requirements for installing floor and wall tiles, natural stone and artificial stone. This study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research is a true experimental research design with a post-test only control design. The population in this study were all students of class XII KGSP, totaling 28 students. As for the sample in this study used random sampling. The research conducted interviews, observations, documentation and tests to obtain data. The results of the study stated that the learning outcomes of class XII KGSP students who used the cooperative script learning model were in the good category with an average score of 70 and the learning outcomes of students who did not use the cooperative script model were in the sufficient or low category with an average score of 49.

Are Primary Teachers Literate or Not: A Study on Curriculum Literacy of Primary Teachers

which is based on a case study from qualitative research designs, consists of teachers working in primary schools in the 1st term of the 2020-2021 academic year in Diyarbakir. The teachers in the study group were selected by criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. The semi-structured interview technique was used in the data collection process of the research. In addition, the qualitative data obtained were analyzed with descriptive analysis methods. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the primary teachers did not directly access the curriculum designed by the MoNE but indirectly followed the curriculum by downloading the annual plans from the web pages on the internet. In addition, interviews with teachers revealed that they could barely demonstrate the philosophy, values, and competencies in the curriculum and were not aware of these parts. On the other hand, primary teachers stated that they focused on basic skills (reading, writing, and arithmetic), life skills (self-confidence, entrepreneurship, self-regulation, problem-solving), and values ​​education (love, respect, honesty, sharing, and responsibility) in success. It is seen that while teachers mostly talk about the acquisitions related to basic skills, life skills, and values ​​education in the curriculum, they refer less to the acquisitions of related mathematics and engineering skills, which are widely used and vital in today's world. This result showed that they care about the inclusion of skills, life skills, and values ​​education in the curriculum, and they try to achieve the goals for these skills by the students.

The Role of Pedagogy Assistance in Increasing Prospective Student Self-Efficacy in College Preparation

In the concept of lifelong education, there are certain principles that underlie various exercises, activities and engagements that can be considered as a contribution to values education, and these will form the basis for lifelong education programs and activities. Learning in lifelong education is recognized in different forms at each age stage and can contribute to their desire to enhance personal development and creativity as they age. This lifelong education is a contribution to opening up and increasing sophistication in broadening the understanding of certain values for all students, during their study period. Lifelong education seeks to explore ways and means by which students can be encouraged to develop and grow well as individual beings and social agents, throughout their lives. In the process of lifelong learning, parents as individuals can obtain information and knowledge informally during their lives as parents. Parents as two individuals who generally have biological and psychological attachments, and have material responsibility for children's education, have an important role in determining the steps of children's education. For this reason, the knowledge that parents have about education majors and career planning will greatly help children as prospective students in tertiary institutions to consider the best education they will take to achieve the careers that have been planned beforehand. There are several other considerations that support research related to methods of increasing parental knowledge about colleges and careers for children's career planning, namely a great opportunity for parents to continue learning so they can direct and plan their children's future careers appropriately and accordingly. This is closely related to the principle of lifelong education. This research will be conducted using a qualitative research approach. This approach is commonly used to view human behavior as having its own meaning and implications. Through this approach, the author wants to see how the influence of knowledge possessed by parents about college and career can help children plan their future career properly and precisely.

The background of this problem is the Implementation of Character Education Values in School Culture in Makale Christian Elementary School 2 Makale. This research aims to find out how the application of character education value to school culture in Makale Christian Elementary School 2. This type of research is to use descriptive qualitative method research, with this type of case study research. The subjects in this study were students from grade I-VI of Makale Christian Elementary School 2. While the object of this research is the value of character education on school culture. Research instruments used are interviews, questionnaires, observations and documentation. The results of this study show that the application of the value of character education to school culture is carried out well which can be seen from the 7 application of character education values, including honesty, discipline, responsibility, care, cooperation, care and courtesy.

Relevance of Corporate Reputation Management Practice in The University of Calabar, Nigeria

With stiff competition inherent in corporate world and attempt to stay clean at all times making an institution the stakeholders’ choice, corporate reputation management becomes vital. For institutions such as university, reputation is influenced by sets of variables like student experiences, student selection, faculty attraction, stakeholder knowledge, and university valuation. Also, it's quality of education, research activity, and social responsibility. This study therefore, examined the place of corporate reputation management at the University of Calabar, Nigeria. Findings described the university’s reputation and public relations services rendered by the university as average for corporate reputation and not so good for the university public relation. The study suggested that if the quality of academic staff, quality of academic programmes, quality of students and infrastructure are improved, it will boost the reputation of the university.

Implementing reform in the teacher education system: Concerns of teacher educators

This study seeks insight in the concerns which exist in different groups who share responsibility for teacher education when implementing changes in teacher education. Against the backdrop of the Concerns-Based Adoption Model (CBAM), we used cluster analysis to identify different profiles of engagement based on a dataset of N = 1378 teacher educators in Germany. We found that level of education, role in the system, professional experiences, and gender have an impact on how members of the system engage with changes. Further analysis showed that communication in the educational system predicts engagement for change. Implications for change policy are discussed.
