THE IMPLEMENTATION OF JAVANESE LANGUAGE DEPICTED AS THE DISCRIMINATIVE USE

Abstract This paper discussed the implementation of Javanese language and the impact of the use. The writer did this study by the literature review. 25 text books are used as sources the data. Then, the writer made the summary from the review. Through the review, there is speech of levels in Java called by unggah-ungguhing basa (speech levels). Commonly the Javanese language is divided into three level; they are ngoko (rude), madya (middle in use) and krama (refined). Each of them shows difference in use based on Javanese social status. It can be classified into social stratification which is system placement of social class based on the different rights. Social stratification causes discrimination especially in class discriminative and social distance in society. To realize about that discrimination, we have to understand about the basic of human right.Key word: Discrimination, Javanese language, social stratification

Assessment of antecedents of financial literacy among young adults: hybrid BWM and ISM approach

PurposeThe low level of financial literacy among young adults is a pressing concern at both individual and country levels. Therefore, there is a dire need to understand the best-worst antecedents of financial literacy and how they influence each other.Design/methodology/approachA two-phased multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) technique consisting of best-worst method and interpretive structural modeling (BWM-ISM) was employed for pair-wise comparison, assigning weights, ranking and establishing the relationship among antecedents of financial literacy.FindingsResults suggest that use of Internet (SF1), role of financial advisors (SF3) and education level of individuals (DS7) are top ranked antecedents, whereas masculinity/feminity, language and power distance in society are the least ranked antecedents of financial literacy. Modeling of threshold effects in social systems based on nonlinear dynamics

This study proposes a model of threshold effects in social processes under conflict conditions. A model based on the diffusion equation of Langevin is developed. A solution of the system of equations for a divergent diffusion type is given. Using the example of two interactingconflicting groups of individuals, we have identified the characteristic patterns of social conflict in the social system in terms of threshold effects and determined the effect the social distance in society has in development of similar processes with regard to the external influence, dissipation, and random factors. We have demonstrated how the phase portrait of the system qualitatively changes as the parameters of the control function of the social conflict change in terms of threshold effects. Using the analysis data of the resulting phase portraits, we have concluded about the existence of a characteristic region of sustainability determined by the transition processes in terms of the threshold effect in the social system, within which it is relatively stable.

Mathematical modeling of ethno-social conflicts with the introduction of the control function

In this article, we propose a model of ethno-social conflict based on diffusion equations with the introduction of the control function for such a conflict. Based on the classical concepts of ethno-social conflicts, we propose a characteristic parameter – social distance – that determines the state of society from the point of view of the theory of conflict. A model based on the diffusion equation of Langevin is developed. The model is based on the idea that individuals interact in society through a communicative field – h. This field is induced by every person in a society and serves as a model of the information interaction between individuals. In addition, the control is introduced into the system through the dissipation function. A solution of the system of equations for a divergent diffusion type is given. Using the example of two interacting–conflicting ethnic groups of individuals, we have identified the characteristic patterns of ethno-social conflict in the social system and determined the effect social distance in society has in the development of similar processes with regard to the external influence, dissipation, and random factors. We have demonstrated how the phase portrait of the system qualitatively changes as the parameters of the control function of the ethno-social conflict change. Using the analysis data of the resulting phase portraits, we have concluded that it is possible to control a characteristic area of sustainability for a social system, within which it remains stable and does not become subject to ethno-social conflicts.

WHATSAPP (WA) DAN KONSEP JARAK SOSIAL BARU DI MASYARAKAT

<p>Abstract. Whatsapp (WA) as a new social media changes people's communication in cyberspace. Communication that initially can only be done in the real world, develops with the existence of cyberspace that makes communication can be done without having to meet, and can be done quickly and can be felt as if real. For this reason, this study aims to find out how public communication is before there is WA and after there is WA? Does WA change the concept of social distance for society? This research is important to do so that we know how WA as an active and massive communication media used by the community can change the concept of new social distance in society. The method used is qualitative data collection through interviews with several WA users. This interview was conducted by random sampling method with the selection of informants randomly. The theory used in this study is the theory of social distance. This study found that WA changed communication in cyberspace and WA also changed the concept of new social distance because after massive WA groups were used, people were free to disseminate information and had the right to comment without fear of social distance in the real world. People can also more easily realize their sympathies because groups in WA make it easier for them to carry out information and coordination to be able to carry out activities that show sympathy for others.</p><p><br />Keywords: Communication, Whatsapp, Social Distance</p>
