The Role of Education in Shaping National Political Identity

The purpose of this study is to examine the development of national political education in PTKI Bengkulu as a preventive measure against the dangers of identity politics, especially ahead of the 2024 elections. This study aims to identify effective strategies for integrating identity politics discussion into national political education. This qualitative study employed basic data gathering techniques through direct interviews and documentation, as well as secondary data collection from social media, scientific journals, and news websites. Research data were then reduced, classified/classified, and methodological conclusions drawn. This study identifies two primary measures for the development of national political education at PTKI Bengkulu. First, curriculum integration involves incorporating discussion of identity politics into representative topics, particularly through National Political Education (PKN) and Panchasheel, sub-discussion education. This approach enables students to critically analyze identity politics in the context of national values and principles. Second, the organization of academic forums such as seminars, workshops, interactive talk shows, panel discussions, and debates facilitates open dialogue, critical thinking, and awareness of identity politics, fostering deeper understanding among students, educators, and the wider community. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the importance of national political education in mitigating risks associated with identity politics. By integrating identity politics discussions into the curriculum and organizing academic forums, PTKI Bengkulu can play an important role in promoting national unity and resilience. The results of this study provide valuable insights for academics, policymakers, and stakeholders in addressing the challenges posed by identity politics.

Analisis Efisiensi Biaya Tenaga Kerja Langsung pada PT. Davincy Airindo

This study was conducted with the aim to determine the efficiency of direct labor costs carried out by the company PT Davincy Airindo. In this study using literature review and observation, namely by conducting research in the field through direct interviews and data collection, related documents from the company through internet media. The data obtained is analyzed using the quantitative descriptive analysis method, namely how to compare labor costs that actually occur (actual). The results of the analysis will show whether direct labor costs are used efficiently to produce a product. This shows that Direct Labor Cost Control is in the efficient and stable category (in control).

Implementasi Sistem Informasi Analisis Beban Kerja Pada Pegawai di Lingkungan Kecamatan Sawahan Kota Surabaya

Workload Analysis is an important process that must be carried out in every agency, both private and government, in order to determine the needs for the number and type of Employee and Employee positions with a Work Agreement based on position analysis and workload analysis. The existence of this Workload Analysis information system can make it easier for organizations to make decisions on employee workload analysis in planning employee arrangements to make them more efficient and accurate. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative methodology. By conducting direct observations and interviews, using the Miles and Hubbermen model data analysis method which consists of three stages, the first is data reduction, the second is data display and then the final stage is drawing conclusions. According to George C. Edward III there are several aspects that influence how well policies are implemented, therefore it is important to take a closer look at how ABK information system policies are implemented. These aspects include; bureaucratic structure, resources, disposition, and communication. Based on research findings, these four factors are adequate; the only thing that is limited is the resource element. Not all employees understand how to operate the ABK information system. This is not a serious obstacle for Sawahan District in implementing this policy.

The role of the school environment in the development of fine motor skills of elementary school students

This study examines how the school environment affects elementary school children’s fine motor skills. Through direct observation and interviews, it was found that a well-designed school environment involving the whole school community (teachers, parents, students) is essential for developing children’s fine motor skills. Collaboration with physiotherapists has also been proven effective in improving children’s motor skills through specialized exercises.

Pendampingan Pembacaan Doa Selamat Setelah Belajar Sebagai Pembentukan Spiritual Siswa XI BRL 2 di SMKN 2 Palangka Raya

Prayer is an expression or communication between a person and God, which usually includes requests, praise, gratitude, or a request for forgiveness. The problems faced in the field are related to students' lack of understanding of prayer and the importance of spirituality in the learning process. Many students are not used to reading prayers correctly, so that religious values ​​are not fully absorbed in daily activities at school. The purpose of this service is to increase students' awareness of the importance of spirituality in the learning process and to create a positive culture in the school environment. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR). Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with students where students were actively involved in the activity of reading a prayer of congratulations at the end of learning. The results showed that students better understood the meaning of prayer and were more involved and interested in reading it after studying. It is hoped that this activity can improve students' character and increase their gratitude for the knowledge they have learned. The results of the study also showed that, as part of student character development, schools should involve similar activities in the formation of religious character. Therefore, prayer reading assistance activities can be used as a way to show that students have gained a better understanding of the importance of prayer and have improved their ability to read prayers correctly and regularly. It is recommended that such activities be conducted regularly to strengthen students' religious principles and improve the learning environment.

Fishermen Empowerment Through Product Diversification Viewed from the Maqashid Syariah Perspective in Pantai Labu District

Economic empowerment is one way to change people's lives for the better. Pantai Labu sub-district is known as a coastal area that has the potential for abundant marine catches. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the product diversification-based fishermen empowerment program by using the maqashid sharia perspective as an analytical framework. This research was conducted in three fishing villages in Pantai Labu Sub-district, by identifying the potential product diversification that can be produced from marine products. The research method used was a qualitative case study with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth direct interviews. The results show that product diversification such as seafood processing and home industry development has had a positive impact on the income and food security of fishing communities. In addition, this empowerment also encourages the achievement of Maqasyid Sharia objectives, such as increased income that safeguards wealth (al-mal), increased skills that support the intellect (al-aql), and family welfare that supports offspring (an-nasl). However, despite its great potential, product diversification often faces various challenges in business development, such as capital constraints, limited market access, and lack of product innovation

Proposed Improvement of Trans Semanggi Suroboyo Services Using IPA and QFD Methods

The high intensity of private vehicle usage has led to uncontrolled road congestion. To encourage residents to switch to public transportation, the Surabaya City Government introduced Trans Semanggi Suroboyo. Trans Semanggi Suroboyo experienced a decrease in passengers in 2023, with a decline of 324,711 passengers. Based on a preliminary survey with direct interviews conducted with 35 Trans Semanggi Suroboyo passengers, frequent complaints were related to service and facilities. Therefore, it is important to analyze and propose improvements to the services of Trans Semanggi Suroboyo as public transportation in Surabaya. To enhance the quality of services and facilities, it is essential to identify and evaluate passenger perceptions using service quality dimensions based on the Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation Number SK.5923/AJ.005/DRJD/2016. The most important service quality priorities for passengers are measured using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. This research identified 9 critical attributes that require improvement. Subsequently, a service quality improvement design was developed using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach through the House of Quality (HoQ) matrix, resulting in 5 priority technical responses. Based on these findings, a plan for improving the service and facilities of the Trans Semanggi Suroboyo bus was proposed to maintain the quality of public transportation services.

Knowledge, attitude, and practice of Iraqi pregnant women about maternal risk factors

Maternal risk factors can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes. These include extreme maternal age, short inter-pregnancy intervals, lack or inadequate prenatal care, smoking, and obesity. Good knowledge, positive attitude, and safe practice of women about these risk factors are important in improving pregnancy outcomes. To assess knowledge, attitude, and practice of pregnant mothers attending primary health centres, a cross-sectional study was conducted with 200 randomly selected pregnant women attending the Al-Qudus Family Medicine Primary Health Centre for antenatal care during the period June 2022 to February 2023. Direct interviews of the participants was carried out to obtain data using a structured questionnaire, and the data were tabulated and analyzed using SPSS software The mean age was 22.5 years, 78% of whom knew pregnancy beyond 35 years increases complication; 77% agreed that low maternal educational level has bad effect on pregnancy; 63% were aware of the bad effects of short interpregnancy intervals; while almost all women agreed that smoking has bad effect on pregnancy. About 82% had attitude of planning for pregnancy and frequent antenatal care visits; more than half had regular doctor visits with folic acid supplementation; while three quarters of the women took information from their families and relatives and half from doctors. We conclude that pregnant women in Al-Qudus Family Medicine Health centre, Iraq, have moderately to good knowledge of maternal risk factors.

Front Office Attendant Proactive Work Behavior

This study aims to determine the implementation of proactive work behavior shown by Front Office Attendants at MLV Hotel. The data collection technique in this study was by conducting direct interviews with the Hotel Manager and Front Office Supervisor. This study uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques that refer to five indicators, namely high initiative, high sense of responsibility, adaptive ability, problem-solving ability, clear and measurable work goals. The results of this study indicate that not all front office attendants have implemented proactive work behavior optimally, especially in the indicators of high initiative at work and high sense of responsibility. MLV Hotel management is advised to provide rewards to front office attendants who have implemented proactive work behavior and also provide punishment to front office attendants who have not shown a full sense of responsibility at work.

From bean to market: exploring the chemical and production dynamics of high-quality Indonesian vanilla

Indonesia’s vanilla industry requires continuous efforts to enhance its quality and safety to ensure its sustainability. The objective of this research is to identify the chemical composition, production constraints, and post-harvest practices impacting vanilla quality. This research investigates the quality of Indonesian vanilla through in-depth interviews with vanilla growers and exporters, as well as quality analysis in the laboratory. Purposive sampling targeted key producers across seven provinces from May to August 2023. Vanilla samples were collected for chemical analysis after a direct interview with each producer. The result shows that the physical and chemical qualities of vanilla products fulfill Indonesian standards (SNI). The vanillin content ranged from 1.21 to 3.50. Establishing universal standards requires considering various vanilla varieties and determining minimum quality attribute values. Due to the risk of theft, vanilla pods are often picked when they are less than 9 months old, before the fruit is fully ripe. This practice results in a drop in quality, particularly in vanillin concentration. Sustainable growth, stakeholder involvement, inclusive business models, education, and contract farming arrangements help navigate challenges like theft and premature harvesting. Advancements in processing methodologies and the selection of clonal materials reinforce the industry’s commitment to enhancing quality.

The problem of treating anaemia in children: Medicinal plants versus blood transfusion

Introduction: This study looked at the problem of treating anaemia using both medicinal plants and blood transfusions. The aim was to identify the problems associated with treating children's anaemia using blood transfusions or medicinal plants, to show why parents choose to treat their children's anaemia, to identify the reasons for using medicinal plants to treat children's anaemia and to list the medicinal plants used to treat anaemia. Methodology: To achieve these objectives, we used a cross-sectional descriptive approach based on direct structured interviews with mothers hospitalized with their children in the paediatrics department of the GRH/Makiso and at the Centre Traditional-modern Jesus Heals, during the three-month period from 1 June to 31 August 2023. As a result, 40 study subjects were selected, 20 from each investigation site. Results: The following results were obtained in relation to problems associated with the treatment of anaemia in children: 30.0% of the subjects in the study who had had a relapse to traditional anaemia treatment at the CTM Jesus Heals and problems related to the treatment of anaemia by transfusion and traditional treatment, 50.0% of the subjects in the study mentioned the reason why traditional treatment corrects anaemia, i.e. 25.0% at the CTM Jesus Heals and blood transfusion improves the child's state of health, i.e. 25.0% at the HGR/Makiso. At the CTM Jesus Heals, anaemia was treated with medicinal plants, in particular sweet potato leaves (20.0%), papaya leaves (12.5%), avocado leaves (10.0%) and Bokomu leaves (7.5%). Conclusion: Anaemia is a public health problem in Kisangani, causing a high morbidity rate among children. It is therefore important to provide effective medical treatment with a view to reducing the number of deaths due to anaemia.

The Role of Digital Accounting for SMEs in Facing Business Challenges in the Digital Era

Research Aims: This research aims to analyze the role of digital accounting in increasing operational efficiency and to examine how digital accounting supports MSMEs in adapting to the challenges of the digital era. Design/methodology/approach: The research employed direct observation and interviews with MSMEs in Malang, encompassing various business types, ages, and education levels. This approach provided a comprehensive understanding of the significance of digital accounting for MSMEs in navigating the business environment in the digital era. Additionally, the researchers conducted digital accounting training for MSMEs to further enhance their understanding. Research Findings: The findings indicate that the implementation of digital accounting offers significant advantages for MSMEs, particularly in improving operational efficiency and enabling quicker, more accurate business decisions. These benefits enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era. However, the study also identified key challenges, such as the costs associated with digital accounting implementation and the limited understanding and knowledge among MSMEs regarding its use. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study adds to the growing body of literature by emphasizing the critical role of digital accounting in enhancing MSME performance in the digital business landscape. It highlights the need for comprehensive training and support to overcome the barriers associated with digital accounting adoption in MSMEs, offering practical insights for both academia and practitioners.

Analysis of the Implementation of Risk Management to Minimize the Risk of Bad Credit at the Nias Rural Development Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP3) Gunungsitoli Branch

This study aims to determine the application of risk management carried out by the Nias Rural Development Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP3) Gunungsitoli Branch in minimizing the risk of bad loans. In this study, the type of research used is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are used through observation, interviews and documentation. To obtain information, the researcher conducted direct interviews with 6 informants, namely branch heads, 2 employees and 3 members of the Nias Rural Development Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP3) Gunungsitoli Branch. The data analysis techniques used in qualitative research include transcripts of interview results, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the implementation of risk management carried out by the Nias Rural Development Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP3) Gunungsitoli Branch is carried out through a series of stages, namely risk identification, risk measurement, risk monitoring and risk control. The implementation of risk management to minimize the risk of bad loans has been effectively implemented by KSP3 Nias Gunungsitoli Branch as evidenced by the NPL (Non-Performing Loan) rate from 2020-2022 which is still below 5%.

Analisis Promotion Mix Terhadap Pemasaran Layanan Kontruksi pada PT Khafi Multi Perkasa

This study aims to determine the results of the analysis of the promotion mix on the marketing of goods and services as well as the forms of construction services that exist at PT. Khafi Multi Mighty. The type of method in this research is a qualitative type with a descriptive approach that is directed to be explained in greater detail about the actual situation that occurs in the field. This study also conducted direct interviews addressed to the Director of the company PT. Khafi Multi Mighty. This study shows the results that the promotion mix has not been implemented by employees so that it does not have a significant effect on service marketing, this is evidenced by their marketing method which only uses three components contained in the promotion mix. So that the services offered have not yet reached the desired point of satisfaction because the marketing system that is being implemented is not perfect.

The long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and quality of life: a retrospective cohort study in northern Vietnam

The objective of this study was to investigate the mental disturbances among COVID-19 survivors while also examining their quality of life. A retrospective cohort study was conducted among COVID-19 survivors in northern Vietnam. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, cognitive impairment, and quality of life were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Mini-Cog, and Short Form-8 (SF-8), respectively. Information regarding COVID and post-COVID conditions was retrospectively collected through direct interviews. Ordinal logistic regression was employed to identify factors associated with the severity of depression and anxiety; binary logistic regression was used to identify factors associated with the presence of sleep disturbance and cognitive impairment, and linear regression was utilized to identify factors associated with the mental and physical components of the SF-8. A total of 1596 participants were included in this study, with the prevalence of depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, and cognitive impairment being 8.7%, 16.9%, 23.4%, and 5.6%, respectively. Experiencing discrimination during COVID-19 infection and post-COVID syndrome were both linked to long-term outcomes of depression, anxiety, and insomnia and were also related to a decline in the quality of life. Our study provided initial insights into the mental outcomes and quality of life among COVID-19 survivors over an extended period, with stigmatization and post-COVID syndrome identified as the primary associated factors. A longitudinal study with random sampling, a control group, and measures to better control recall bias is recommended.

Reframing Education: Evaluating the Transformative Effects of the 2013 Curriculum

This research aims to analyze the impact of implementing the 2013 Curriculum, focusing on consistent implementation, evaluation of learning outcomes, acceptance by students and parents, and adaptation of teaching methods and continuous feedback. The research method involves direct observation and interviews with educators, students, parents, and school administrators to understand curriculum implementation and its impact comprehensively. The findings show that consistent curriculum implementation produces a structured learning experience while evaluating learning outcomes. Increases student academic performance. The positive reception from students and parents and adapting innovative teaching methods enrich the learning process. A system of feedback and continuous improvement ensures the relevance and effectiveness of the curriculum. The conclusion of this research confirms that implementing the 2013 Curriculum effectively supports the achievement of educational goals by improving the quality of learning and stakeholder involvement.

Perspective of Fulfilling The Social Needs of Children Affected to The Mountain Semeru Eruption: Qualitative Study

Indonesia is an archipelagic country located at the confluence of four tectonic plates and there are volcanic arcs along the islands of Sumatra-Java-Nusa Tenggara-Sulawesi. This condition causes Indonesia to be in a condition prone to natural disasters, especially volcanic eruptions. Disasters have a more serious impact on vulnerable groups. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect research data. Researchers collected demographic data at the research stage and then conducted direct interviews with research informants through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion. A total of 24 participants were involved in this study which were taken using purposive sampling. The research was conducted on preschool and school aged children (3-12 years) who were affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang Regency, Indonesia. The Mount Semeru eruption disaster resulted in psychological problems in children because peer separation, behavior, and borderline personality disorder have been widely reported in volcanic eruption disasters. Good social support is an important aspect in the process of recovering children after a disaster. Rapid life changes encourage parents to adapt immediately to meet the needs of children.

Development of a welfare assessment tool for tourist camp elephants in Asia.

Approximately one-third of Asian elephants are managed under human care, participating in educational, cultural, religious, and tourist activities. Management conditions vary considerably among venues, raising questions about whether welfare needs are consistently being met, particularly for Asian tourist camp elephants. To evaluate the well-being of elephants engaged in tourist activities, an evidence-based tool is needed for routine assessments to identify potential welfare risks, aid in the development of better camp standards, and enable caretakers to address specific concerns. While many animal welfare tools exist, none have been designed to consider specific environments and management practices faced by elephants living and working in tourist camps. Using direct observations and interviews, the Elephant Welfare Assessment Tool (EWAT) was developed for tourist camp elephants using the Five Domains Model as a framework. Measures were selected based on peer-reviewed literature, existing standards and guidelines, and opinions from animal welfare experts working with zoo and tourist camp elephants. The EWAT differs from existing tools by including criteria on work activities and restraint methods (e.g., chaining and ankus use), factors common in Asia but not often encountered by western zoo elephants. Measures were scored using a 0-2 Likert Scale. The tool was tested in Thailand and determined by calculating a content validity index (CVI) and conducting inter-rater and test-retest reliability tests. The initial tool included 18 animal-based and 21 resource-based measures across four domains: Nutrition (n = 5), Environment (n = 14), Health (n = 10), and Behavior and Mental State (n = 10). Index scores of content validity (CVI) (Item CVI (0.83), Scale CVI/Average (0.98), and Scale CVI/Universal (0.89)) were high. Measures scoring less than 0.83 were removed: the opportunity to mate, the mahout-elephant relationship, and mahout job satisfaction. The final tool consisted of 42 questions related to 36 measures, including 18 animal-based and 18 resource-based measures within the Nutrition (n = 5), Environment (n = 11), Health (n = 10), and Behavior and Mental State (n = 10) domains. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for inter-rater reliability (0.78-0.90, p < 0.05) and test-retest (0.77-0.91, p < 0.05) analyses conducted at two camps showed good agreement. This new assessment tool (EWAT) is a context-specific, holistic method designed to offer a practical means of conducting individual and institutional-level assessments of elephant welfare in tourist camps. It is based on the Five Domains Model using reliable and validated animal- and resource-based measures, data collection through direct observation and interviews, and a numerical scoring system. The tool includes several criteria applicable to tourist rather than zoo venues to make it more relevant to the challenges faced by working elephants in Asia.

Perancangan Aplikasi Pencatatan Dan Monitoring Performa Transaksi Penjualan Cabang Waralaba Teh Manis Solo Berbasis Website (Studi Kasus : Teh Manis Solo Siska)

Teh Manis Solo is a franchise engaged in the beverage sales sector. Siska Andriyani, as the franchisee, purchaseda partnership package and owns three branches in three different locations. The first branch is located at Jl. PuloHarapan Indah, West Jakarta. The second branch is located at Jl. M Toha, Tangerang City, and the third branchis located at Jl. Prabu Siliwangi, Tangerang City. In running her business, Teh Manis Solo Siska faces severalchallenges, such as recording transactions from the three branches still using a manual system, sales transactionsnot being recorded in detail since the records are based on how many thermos were sold today, and each branch'stransaction data must be monitored through direct inspections. Consequently, the owner finds it difficult tomonitor and know the types of beverages sold at each branch and control the business processes at each TehManis Solo Siska branch. To address these issues, a web-based application for Sales Transaction Recording andFranchise Branch Transaction Performance Monitoring of Teh Manis Solo is being developed. Theprogramming language used for designing and developing the application is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor)using the CodeIgniter framework, and data processing is done using MySQL. The development method used isthe Waterfall model. The data collection process that will be implemented includes direct observation,interviews, and literature study. The hope is that this application will solve the problems faced by the businessowner in the process of recording sales transactions, expenditures, and monitoring as well as controlling businessprocesses at each branch.

Komunikasi Persuasif dan Word of Mouth dalam Pemasaran Tabungan Haji Panin Dubai Syariah Bank

Marketing communication has the function of conveying information, persuading and reminding potential consumers of products and services for making purchasing decisions. The type of product, the target market for prospective consumers, the strength of the network owned and the company's ability in terms of promotion budget are aspects that need to be considered in determining the form and channel of marketing communication for a product. Persuasive communication plays an important role for the company's success in influencing prospective customers to respond and act according to what is expected in relation to product marketing. Word of mouth about the experiences of customers who have enjoyed the company's products and services forms word of mouth which is an effective communication medium in influencing the decision making of other prospective customers. This study uses a qualitative approach and is descriptive in nature, aims to describe and analyze the application of persuasive communication elements and word of mouth elements as a form and channel of marketing communication for Hajj Savings at Panin Dubai Syariah Bank. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from direct observation and interviews, while secondary data was obtained from the results of research that had been carried out by previous researchers and scientific reports contained in articles or journals regarding persuasive communication and word of mouth. The results of the study show that the elements of persuasive communication (claims, warrants and data) are implemented in verbal communication by the opinion leaders and non-verbally in the choice of media sentences to promote PDSB Hajj Savings products. Word of mouth elements (WoM Units, Participants, Venues, Actions and Outcomes) occur and are implemented in the interaction process both by opinion leaders to the community and Hajj Savings customers who have experienced PDSB Hajj Savings services to the surrounding community.
