In this paper we will present a new adaptive control technique based on type 1 fuzzy controllers to control the mechanical power generated by a permanent magnet synchronous motor, this machine is powered by two converters in series. One converter on the network side to control the direct current bus and improve the power factor on the network side, the other on the motor side to regulate the mechanical power (speed, torque) produced by our motor. We will then present a comparative study between the developed controller and other conventional controllers to highlight the best performing and most robust of each, this comparative study is based on a series of tests that we have carried out during the transient and continuous operation of our permanent magnet synchronous motor under the same conditions. The numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the implementation of the typical adaptive type 1 fuzzy control to achieve these objectives.
