It is proposed to use humidification-dehumidification technology (HDH) for water recovery in space flight conditions, in conditions of weightlessness, the processes of humidification and drying are realized in centrifugal direct contact devices. The process of heat and mass transfer in a centrifugal direct contact air humidifier is experimentally investigated. The effect of the gravity factor (G=40–650), air velocity (Reair = 5–40), water flow rate (Rew = 28000–94000), geometric parameters of the mesh on the intensity of air humidification was investigated. Experimental studies were carried out on a laboratory stand with an automated system for measuring the main parameters. The parameters of the humidifier will allow the development of a distillation system with a productivity of 1.3 kg per hour, which is enough for a crew of two people. The results of the experimental studies are summarized by new correlations suitable for engineering calculations, which make it possible to calculate the geometric parameters of a centrifugal humidifier for a water recovery system with different productivity.
