The present study aimed to identify the extent to which sustainable development dimensions are included in the Islamic Education curriculum for the first grade in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of an analysis of the content of the four textbooks for the first grade for the academic year 2023-2024. To achieve the study’s objective, the descriptive-analytical method was employed through performing content analysis. A content analysis checklist was designed, incorporating the dimensions of sustainable development: the environmental dimension, the social dimension, and the economic dimension. The theoretical framework of the research included an introduction to curricula, Islamic education curricula, and sustainable development and its role in education. The study results revealed that the content of the analysed textbooks contained varying frequencies of sustainable development goals. The social dimension ranked first with an inclusion rate of (64.71%), followed by the environmental dimension with (32.91%), and the economic dimension ranked third with (2.38%). The study recommended increasing the inclusion of sustainable development goals related to the environmental dimension in the Islamic Education curriculum for the first grade in the Sultanate of Oman, as these goals were not sufficiently represented compared to others, despite their importance in achieving sustainable development
