Digital Information Resources and Business Education Delivery in Tertiary Institutions in Bayelsa State

The study investigated the relationship between digital information resources and business education delivery in tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State. The study determined the relationship between the dimensions of digital information resources and business education delivery; thus, six objectives, research questions, and hypotheses guided the study. A correlational research design was used to carry out the study. The population of this study consisted of fifty-two (52) lecturers in business education from the three tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State. The census sampling technique was used in selecting the sample size of 52 business education lecturers for the study. The questionnaires for the study were developed based on the research objectives. The questionnaire was titled "Digital Information Resources and Business Education Delivery Questionnaire (DIRBEQ)." The questionnaire was subjected to face and content validity. The pilot-test approach was used to determine the reliability of the instrument. Cronbach’s alpha was also used to measure internal consistency. A reliability coefficient of 0.807 was obtained. This was considered sufficient for the study. The instrument was distributed by the researcher. Fifty-two copies of the questionnaire were filled out and collected. The research questions were answered using Pearson's product-moment correlation, while simple linear regression analysis and analysis of covariance were used to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 significance level. The study revealed that the extent of the relationship between e-book resources and business education delivery in tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State is weak, while the extent of the relationship between e-journal resources and business education delivery in tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State is very strong, among others. Furthermore, the study disclosed that there is a significant relationship between e-book resources and business education delivery in tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State and that there is a significant relationship between e-journal resources and business education delivery in tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State. The study concluded that digital information resources are an integral instructional delivery tool that can improve the quality of business education delivered to students at tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State. It was recommended that lecturers of tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State be trained in the use of e-book resources as well as the use of digital mediums in business education delivery, so that appropriate delivery of the lecture materials is ensured, and management of tertiary education in Bayelsa State should establish appropriate e-journal information management strategies that can foster lecturers' research skills, attitude, and competence for information literacy, effective e-journal use, and professional practices, among others.
  

Demographic factors as correlates of digital information resources use by LIS doctoral students in Southwestern Nigeria

Digital information resources offer enormous benefits to library and information science (LIS) doctoral students in the sense that they are enabled to have access to current information resources as regards their academic activities. However, despite this, previous studies have shown that the use of digital information resources by some doctoral students is low. This could be attributed to their demographic factors such as age, gender and length of stay on the programme. This study therefore examined the relationship between the demographic factors and use of digital information resources by LIS doctoral students in Southwestern Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design of the correlational type was used and the total enumeration technique was adopted. All 235 LIS doctoral students in four universities in South-west, Nigeria participated in the study. The questionnaire was the data collection instrument and data were analysed with the use of frequency counts, percentages, mean, standard deviation and correlation analysis. Findings showed that most of the LIS doctoral students used digital information resources for knowledge update ( ). Results showed that out of the three demographic variables, only age (r=.336*; N=177; p<0.05) and gender (r=.215*; N=177; p<0.05) had significant relationship with the use of digital information resources by the LIS doctoral students. It can be inferred from the study that the use of digital information resources by LIS doctoral students is imperative because it offers the link to scholarly publications necessary to locate their research within the disciplinary space and assist them to move the frontiers of knowledge. Thus, in order to facilitate the use of digital information resources, further effort should be made to enable more access to digital information resources and the role of demographic factors should not be sidelined.

Digital information resources use as predictor of academic achievement among undergraduates in Jigawa State, Nigeria

This study investigated digital information resource use as a predictor of academic achievement among undergraduates in Jigawa State, Nigeria. Data was gathered through a structured questionnaire and a predictive correlation methodology was applied to a sample of 313 undergraduate students. The instrument was subjected to internal consistency and obtained Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.943, while the Analysis of Variance revealed a P-value˂α (f = 17.718, df = 37, p < 0.001) indicating high reliability. The findings offer light on the complex predictive strength of digital resources including ease of access, reliability, familiarity, and interactive features, and found that the libraries have a significant number of digital resources (Mean=3.3, SD=1.1) for academic use. There is a high degree of digital literacy (Mean=4.4, SD=1.1) among undergraduates which influences their access to digital resources for academic purposes. Undergraduate students' digital resources use significantly predict their academic achievements (β=0.839, t=23.141, r2=.703, p <.001, df = 227). Promoting digital literacy initiatives and expanding the availability of digital resources are two useful recommendations offered. The study’s general conclusion is that resource descriptions, ease of accessibility, variety of formats, and interactive platforms for digital sources predict academic performance.

Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Library Management System (LMS)

Various changes occurred at libraries in different period. Development of libraries in different time span has affected lots on librarians and information professionals in the form of managerial skills, job opportunities, status and their survival. Present day information communication technology application in library has changed drastically in the collection development from print to electronic or digital form and increased the importance and role of librarians in the library. Information explosion is cause for rapid developing of digital information resources and services. This new information environment has brought various challenges before library and information professionals such as adopting new skills of information searching, acquiring, processing, storing and disseminating. Librarians have to enhance personal ability to understand and use information, individual skills development is the process of ongoing, learning and qualitative aspect. Important things of information society are education and leaning. The situation of education is changing due to impact of social, political, cultural and economic condition of society. The main aim of the study is to assess the need for and implementation of ICT in Library Management System (LMS) in the Contemporary period.

The Twenty Sixth International Conference “Information technologies, computer systems and publications for libraries” (“LIBCOM–2022”): The review of events

The Twenty Sixth International Conference “Information technologies, computer systems and publications for libraries” (“LIBCOM–2022”) held on November 20-25, 2022, is reviewed. The key topics are covered, namely, the status of and prospects for modern information, computer and Internet-technologies in library services, in universities and research organizations, educational technologies, legal aspects in the work of libraries and information producers, e-libraries and digital information resources, etc. The authors focus on several events, i. e. the Seventh Industrial Conference “Book publishing and the libraries: Vectors of interaction”, scientific and practical conference of the National Library Association: Libraries of the Future: (NALF), the scientific conference “Scientometrics and bibliometrics in the modern educational environment: The role of libraries”, scientific and educational symposium “University and academic libraries to support educational process in the modern digital environment”, central discussion site “On the way to the new national system of sci-tech information”, presentation of the two-volume publication “Twenty annual reports to the Crimea International Forum” and the publication “Y. Interactive Databases for Recordkeeping and Analyzing R&D Results of Educational Institutions Subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia

The current state and main paths of the formation of digital information resources for recording the results of intellectual activity (RIA) of educational institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia are shown. Information is presented on the formation of an open branch-wise digital environment for monitoring, recording and analyzing R&D results. The ways to increase the commercialization of RIA are considered.

Investigating the gendered nature of new parents’ digital technology use for health information

Abstract Background Parenting is marked by intense emotional and health information needs for individuals and families. Understanding how digital technologies are used by new parents may allow public health organizations to tailor digital health information resources and delivery methods to better meet needs. Methods A qualitative descriptive study was conducted to understand new parents’ experiences with digital technology during their transition to parenting. Individuals in Ontario, Canada who had become a parent in the past 24 months were recruited to participate in a focus group. Participants were asked to describe the technologies used to support their parenting and how they were used to support self and family health. Focus group data were subjected to thematic analysis using inductive coding. Results Focus groups were conducted with 26 heterosexual female participants. Participants primarily used digital technologies (smartphone, social media) to seek information on maternal, foetal, and infant health and establish social and emotional supports. Parental health information work was gendered and categorized by 2 dominant themes. First, “‘Let me know when I'm needed'” typifies fathers’ limited health information seeking and reinforces mothers as lay information mediaries. Second, “Information Curation” captures participants’ belief that gender biases built-in to digital parenting resources reified the gendered nature of health information work for new parents. Conclusions While parents regularly use digital resources for health information seeking, the gendered nature of such digital resources reinforces gendered divisions of health work. Key messages • Digital technologies tailored to new parents actively reinforces gender norms. • Public health organizations have an opportunity to engage with new parents to identify how digital information resources can be created that support equitable division of health information work.

Measuring digital health literacy in children and adolescents

Abstract The talk will address the different digital health literacy instruments currently existing and present their advantages and limitations. The rapid growth in access and use of digital (health) information resources in our society can also be observed among adolescents and children. However, to date no instrument exists that was specifically designed to measure how children and adolescents find, understand, appraise, and use such digital health information and services. The aim of the talk is to provide an overview of digital literacy instruments and present strengths and limitations of existing instruments. One limitation, the self-reported nature of digital health literacy, will be addressed and potential solutions discussed with the audience. The talk will demonstrate the current lack of instruments to measure digital health literacy in children and adolescents, and what this means for child and adolescent public health and the promotion of digital health literacy.

ИНФОРМАЦИОННОЕ ПРОСТРАНСТВО КАК ЭЛЕМЕНТ ПРОФИЛАКТИКИ СТОМАТОЛОГИЧЕСКИХ ЗАБОЛЕВАНИЙ У ПАЦИЕНТОВ ДЕТСКОГО ВОЗРАСТА

Subject. Digital technologies and information resources in the prevention of dental diseases in children's patients and their implementation in the activities of dental medical organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
 The aim. To develop an information resource for children and their parents on the prevention of dental diseases in children's patients.
 Results. The main method of influencing the patient is individual preventive counseling. Hygienic education and upbringing should be strictly differentiated by purpose and content, depending on the age of children. However, pediatric dentists have difficulties in teaching the patient and their parents hygiene skills. For example, this may be due to the lack of free time for parents to listen to information from a doctor about the prevention of dental diseases. Parents receive information from the Internet and social groups without thinking about the correctness of the information received and the availability of a scientific approach. The authors have developed a software product for patients of dental medical organizations of children's profile, in which the space is divided by age: from 0 to 17 years.
 Conclusions. Despite the scaling up and implementation of preventive measures, the intensity of caries and its increase in many regions of the Russian Federation is at a fairly high level. The lack of information received at the clinical reception, the psycho-emotional component of the child's behavior, the lack of a scientific approach in the Internet information networks lead to low effectiveness of prevention programs. That is why one of the main directions in healthcare is the prevention of diseases, as well as the formation of a healthy lifestyle for both adults and children. The use of the developed product provides various advantages both for the dental medical organization and for patients and their parents. But most importantly, this will increase the effectiveness of preventive measures in children's patients.

Barriers to Preservation for Digital Information Resources in University Libraries of Pakistan

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate barriers faced by Pakistani university libraries to implement digital preservation programs. A questionnaire was developed and pilot tested before being sent to 70 libraries of the public sector universities and degree awarding institutions to measure the phenomena. Out of the targeted 70 libraries, 63 responded to the survey (90 % response rate). The results highlighted that a lack of institutional/national policies, financial and technological resources, and administrative support are key barriers that hinder the implementation of digital preservation practices in Pakistani university libraries. The findings of this novel study emphasize devising a national policy for digital preservation in Pakistan. Results point out key barriers to digital preservation and help designing knowledge-based systems in order to meet information and knowledge needs of library users around the clock.

Preference of Internet Usage versus Textbook Usage for Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Physiotherapy Students: A Cross Sectional Study

Background and need of study: This study aims to evaluate the frequency with which physiotherapy students experience; the need of digital information resources and academic textbooks to diagnose and treat patients. The widespread availability of internet-connected smart devices in the health care setting has the potential to provide physiotherapy students' information needs. Methodology: 140 physiotherapy students, selected by convenience sampling. Students studying in third year, final year and Interns of Physiotherapy students were included. The participants filled a Google self-designed, close-ended questionnaire which was circulated via WhatsApp around different physiotherapist groups. Descriptive analysis was done using Microsoft excel. Results: Out of 140 subjects, 53% use internet for diagnosing and treatment of the patients; 70% find internet useful for understanding the patient’s condition better while 84% find textbooks reliable for diagnosis. 48% think maybe internet is hindering their academic performances, 31% think it’s definitely hindering while 21% think it’s not. Conclusion: Physiotherapy students frequently experience need of internet for diagnosis and treatment for their patients. This also departs a thought that the students are not aware regarding the authenticity of materials given on internet. This study also implies that despite textbooks being safe, internet is being used for the sake of convenience by students. Keywords: Physiotherapy students, Internet, Textbook, Treatment

Collections of Livvic dialectal materials in the Phonogram archive of the Institute of Linguistics, Literature and History of the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Introduction. The article presents the overview of the Livvic dialectal audio materials stored in the Phonogram Archive of the Institute of Linguistics, Literature and History of the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Science (Petrozavodsk). Materials and Methods. The article is based on the digital information resources, folklore-ethnographic and linguistic data obtained in the ILLH KarRC RAS archives. The research was carried out using descriptive, comparative, historical and chronolohical methods. Results and Discussion. The Institute’s Phonogram Archive stores field materials which have been collected by the Institute’s specialists since the 1930s. These are speech samples, folklore works, as well as information about the culture and life of the peoples living in the Republic of Karelia, and neighboring regions. The article considers collections of audio materials in the Livvik dialect of the Karelian language, which were collected on the territory of South Karelia in the Olonetsian, Pryazha’s, Suoyarvi’s, Pitkyaranta’s districts. They include not only speech samples, but also some data on ethnography, toponymy, folklore, etc. Part of the material from the Livvic collection (dialect and folklore-ethnographic materials) is presented in the article as the tables that help navigate it. It can be useful for a wide range of specialists: ethnographers, linguists, folklorists, historians. Conclusion. The collections of Livvic dialect and folklore-ethnographic materials of the Phonogram Archive of the ILLH of the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences include valuable linguistic, folklore and ethnographic material. The authors have presented a small part of the unique material stored in the archive. Digitization of archival and field audio samples of Karelian speech in the format of a speech corpus can further simplify the processing and storage of materials, can make it possible to introduce into academic and research environment and make available the unique audio materials which reflect the state of Karelian and Vepsian dialects since the middle of the last century.

Queer Mediated Practices as a Method to Center and Sustain Critical Health and Media Literacies

Abstract Queer communities experience challenges when accessing accurate and comprehensive health information. These challenges span across media and information environments and threaten queer health promotion. This paper explored how 11 queer community health workers (chw s) in a Southeastern US state respond to, subvert, and resist these challenges when creating digital health information resources for their queer communities. This longitudinal action research occurred over two years and included multiple qualitative data types. We analyzed these data using qualitative coding, following deductive and inductive strategies. Findings demonstrate how queer chw s: 1) identified risks and barriers to health promotion their communities experienced; 2) created health information resources that proactively guarded against risks and reactively resisted barriers; 3) borrowed content, format, and logic from other digital media sources, remixing and repurposing them in ways relevant to their communities. Findings denote implications for decentering deficit-based approaches to framing the health and media literacies of queer populations.

Remote care through telehealth for people with inflammatory bowel disease.

People with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) require intensive follow-up with frequent consultations after diagnosis. IBD telehealth management includes consulting by phone, instant messenger, video, text message, or web-based services. Telehealth can be beneficial for people with IBD, but may have its own set of challenges. It is important to systematically review the evidence on the types of remote or telehealth approaches that can be deployed in IBD. This is particularly relevant following the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, which led to increased self- and remote-management. To identify the communication technologies used to achieve remote healthcare for people with inflammatory bowel disease and to assess their effectiveness. On 13 January 2022, we searched CENTRAL, Embase, MEDLINE, three other databases, and three trials registries with no limitations on language, date, document type, or publication status. All published, unpublished, and ongoing randomised controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated telehealth interventions targeted at people with IBD versus any other type of intervention or no intervention. We did not include studies based on digital patient information resources or education resources, unless they formed part of a wider package including an element of telehealth. We excluded studies where remote monitoring of blood or faecal tests was the only form of monitoring. Two review authors independently extracted data from the included studies and assessed their risk of bias. We analysed studies on adult and paediatric populations separately. We expressed the effects of dichotomous outcomes as risk ratios (RRs) and the effects of continuous outcomes as mean differences (MDs) or standardised mean differences (SMDs), each with their 95% confidence intervals (CIs). We assessed the certainty of the evidence using GRADE methodology. We included 19 RCTs with a total of 3489 randomised participants, aged eight to 95 years. Three studies examined only people with ulcerative colitis (UC), two studies examined only people with Crohn's disease (CD), and the remaining studies examined a mix of IBD patients. Studies considered a range of disease activity states. The length of the interventions ranged from six months to two years. The telehealth interventions were web-based and telephone-based. Web-based monitoring versus usual care Twelve studies compared web-based disease monitoring to usual care. Three studies, all in adults, provided data on disease activity. Web-based disease monitoring (n = 254) is probably equivalent to usual care (n = 174) in reducing disease activity in people with IBD (SMD 0.09, 95% CI -0.11 to 0.29). The certainty of the evidence is moderate. Five studies on adults provided dichotomous data that we could use for a meta-analysis on flare-ups. Web-based disease monitoring (n = 207/496) is probably equivalent to usual care (n = 150/372) for the occurrence of flare-ups or relapses in adults with IBD (RR 1.09, 95% CI 0.93 to 1.27). The certainty of the evidence is moderate. One study provided continuous data. Web-based disease monitoring (n = 465) is probably equivalent to usual care (n = 444) for the occurrence of flare-ups or relapses in adults with CD (MD 0.00 events, 95% CI -0.06 to 0.06). The certainty of the evidence is moderate. One study provided dichotomous data on flare-ups in a paediatric population. Web-based disease monitoring (n = 28/84) may be equivalent to usual care (n = 29/86) for the occurrence of flare-ups or relapses in children with IBD (RR 0.99, 95% CI 0.65 to 1.51). The certainty of the evidence is low. Four studies, all in adults, provided data on quality of life. Web-based disease monitoring (n = 594) is probably equivalent to usual care (n = 505) for quality of life in adults with IBD (SMD 0.08, 95% CI -0.04 to 0.20). The certainty of the evidence is moderate. Based on continuous data from one study in adults, we found that web-based disease monitoring probably leads to slightly higher medication adherence compared to usual care (MD 0.24 points, 95% CI 0.01 to 0.47). The results are of moderate certainty. Based on continuous data from one paediatric study, we found no difference between web-based disease monitoring and usual care in terms of their effect on medication adherence (MD 0.00, 95% CI -0.63 to 0.63), although the evidence is very uncertain. When we meta-analysed dichotomous data from two studies on adults, we found no difference between web-based disease monitoring and usual care in terms of their effect on medication adherence (RR 0.87, 95% CI 0.62 to 1.21), although the evidence is very uncertain. We were unable to draw any conclusions on the effects of web-based disease monitoring compared to usual care on healthcare access, participant engagement, attendance rate, interactions with healthcare professionals, and cost- or time-effectiveness. The certainty of the evidence is very low. The evidence in this review suggests that web-based disease monitoring is probably no different to standard care in adults when considering disease activity, occurrence of flare-ups or relapse, and quality of life. There may be no difference in these outcomes in children, but the evidence is limited. Web-based monitoring probably increases medication adherence slightly compared to usual care. We are uncertain about the effects of web-based monitoring versus usual care on our other secondary outcomes, and about the effects of the other telehealth interventions included in our review, because the evidence is limited. Further studies comparing web-based disease monitoring to standard care for the clinical outcomes reported in adults are unlikely to change our conclusions, unless they have longer follow-up or investigate under-reported outcomes or populations. Studies with a clearer definition of web-based monitoring would enhance applicability, enable practical dissemination and replication, and enable alignment with areas identified as important by stakeholders and people affected by IBD.

Collection Development Policies and Practices: A Survey of Public Libraries in Punjab, Pakistan

The status of collection development in public libraries depicts the poor condition in the following four aspects: books, periodicals, rare material and digital information resources. The library staff mostly used the traditional sources as a tool for collection development i.e. Suggestion box Catalogues, Bibliographies, Book sellers/ publishers lists, Reviews of books and Journals. The existing collection development policies were not comprehensive, did not cover necessary aspects concerning to collection development. The public libraries were facing many obstacles and challenges in proceeding collection development process i.e. shortage of staff, insufficient financial resources, lack of training opportunities for library staff to update their professional skills, non-provision of internet connection and digital equipment to use the latest information communication technology, lack of funds for libraries collection development, Indifferent and neglecting attitude of the higher authorities towards libraries were burning issues and challenges to maintain the international standards of collection development within the public libraries of Punjab, Pakistan.

Impact of Digital Transformation on Enterprise Carbon Intensity: The Moderating Role of Digital Information Resources.

In the context of China's "digital power" strategy, the realization of a green and low-carbon shift in manufacturing has become a necessary condition to promote the economy, and the digital factor has increasingly become a new driving force. The text mining and IPCC methods were used to measure manufacturing enterprise digitalization and the level of enterprise carbon emission intensity from 2011 to 2021, respectively. This study then explored the impact of digitalization on manufacturing enterprise carbon emission intensity based on the least squares method model and instrumental variable method model. This research comes to three conclusions. (1) Digitalization can significantly reduce the enterprise carbon emission intensity of China's manufacturing industry, and the influence shows a "marginal increase." (2) Notably, a mechanism analysis indicates the intermediary effect sizes of four crucial intermediaries: green technology innovation > financing constraint > information asymmetry > energy use efficiency. Interestingly, digital information resources positively moderate the positive effect of digitalization on carbon emission intensity through three paths: financing constraints, green technology innovation, and information asymmetry. (3) The influence shows evident signs of heterogeneity-as environmental regulation, financial development, executive education, and R&D quality advance, the inhibiting effect of digitalization on enterprise carbon emission intensity becomes more pronounced. Finally, corresponding policy suggestions are proposed.

Innovative technologies as a factor in the development of the activities of the national scientific agricultural library of the national academy of agrarian sciences

The article is devoted to the currently relevant topic of the influence of innovative technologies on the activities of library institutions. It was determined that the combination of the traditional culture of communication with books and new modern information technologies in the libraries makes it possible to present information quickly, topically, and vividly. Since the user service was, is and remains the main criterion for evaluating the performance of libraries. Among the main technological innovations, it is worth noting remote access to library resources by a wide range of Internet users. Library pages on social networks provide information about the mode of operation, address, link to the website, and information about library activities. The main directions of the digital library, the advantages of using an automated library information system, the principles of creating digital resources are highlighted. The importance of the further creation of the National Electronic Library of Ukraine was determined, considering the Russian-Ukrainian war. The protection of the cultural heritage of the state in terms of documentary heritage, which is located in memory institutions throughout Ukraine (libraries, archives, museums, etc.) is carried out through its digitization and the creation of a reliable system of preservation and access to digital copies of objects. One of the problems related to the creation of the National Electronic Library of Ukraine – the automated library information system (ALIS) – has been identified, since libraries have different systems. It is worth emphasizing that the National Scientific Agricultural Library of the NAAS is also actively creating a digital library, digitizing, first, especially valuable and unique documents that are classified as national property. Among the main strategic directions of the library’s work is the introduction of modern information technologies. They provide effective provision of information and library services that influence the training of professionals and the quality of educational and research processes in all spheres of society. Considering the generalization of the important role of the concept of open access in the creation of the information industry space, it is worth noting that open access is not something new, but now this form is opening itself at a new level – it is a new round in serving modern users. It is through the digital information resource that libraries become more accessible because the freedom and simplicity of independent search and selection of information is provided.

However, it should be understood that each process has its own disadvantages and threats. Need to understand the advantages and possibilities of digitization. Digitization of entrepreneurship is the process of introducing and using new digital tools, information resources and mobile technologies in business activities, which provide a transition to a new way of thinking and reformatting of business processes. Society has taken the first steps towards a fundamentally new reality. Business entities should adapt to new ways of doing business and develop, that is why the purpose of writing the article is to consider the advantages and opportunities of digitalization for entrepreneurship and to understand the shortcomings and threats of this process. The trends of digitalization of entrepreneurship are focused on the creation and application of new services, which is included in the concept of Industry 4.0. provide full vertical and horizontal digital integration of entrepreneurship, transition to new business models and creation of "smart" products and services. The process of digitalization of entrepreneurship has become the basis for the creation of new products and services with new values and features, and therefore a source of competitive advantages. New trends and opportunities create new challenges. Digitalization, like any change, has two sides to the coin. The main risk of the digital transformation of the economy is a possible increase in the level of unemployment, cyber attacks, wealth distribution risk, introducing total control, possibility of losing social skills. There are other risks of digitalization: the benefits of innovation brought by the fourth industrial revolution and the speed of growth of the negative phenomena associated with it are difficult to predict and fully understand. Humanity thinks linearly, while change happens exponentially. The real consequences may turn out to be more unpredictable and shocking. Those who consciously approach this and plan the necessary changes will win.

The Use of Information Resources in the System of Technical and Forensic Support for Countering the Illegal Production of Synthetic Psychoactive Substances

This paper presents the results of studying the theoretical and methodological aspects of the possibility of using an information resource: the automated information search system “AIPSIN-anti-drugs” in the system of technical and forensic support for countering the illegal production of synthetic psychoactive substances in drug laboratories when solving problems of evidence base formation and tactical implementation in the form of a forensic operation (combination) developed by the authors. The special importance of the development of modern forensic technologies, built on the basis of modern digital information resources, in the formation of the evidence base, as well as the scientific legitimacy of the use of various digital resources in the system of forensic support for countering illegal drug production in the Russian Federation is shown. As a result of the discussion, the authors come to the conclusion that the tasks solved by an expert and a specialist should be based on the content of the relevant information modules of the system under consideration, and the conclusions drawn up by them should have appendices in the form of formalized reports issued by an automated information retrieval system.
