This study aims to describe: (a) Difficulty learning mathematics for class XI students, (b) Factors causing difficulty in learning mathematics for class XI students, (c) Teacher's efforts to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics in class XI, (d) Level of difficulty in learning mathematics experienced by class XI students. The type in this research is a qualitative research type. The data collection method used is the interview and test method. The results of the study show that: (1) students have difficulty understanding concepts, difficulties in skills, and difficulty solving problems, (2) The factors that cause students to experience difficulties in learning are social, emotional, and intellectual factors. (3) The teacher's efforts to overcome learning difficulties by holding remedial. (4) The level of student learning difficulties is included in the very difficult category. It is expected that teachers can overcome student learning difficulties. So that the difficulties of students in learning mathematics are slightly resolved.
