This study’s purpose is to determine the effect of mindfulness-based psycho-education program for parents of children with leukemia on ruminative thought, perceived stress, and well-being. This experimental randomized controlled study was adopted with the parents of children. Mindfulness-based psychoeducation program was applied on online platform with parents. After the intervention, ruminative thinking styles, perceived stress levels and well-being levels of the parents in the experimental group were found to be significantly different from the control group (p < 0.05). The mindfulness-based psychoeducation program applied in this study was found to be effective in reducing ruminative thinking and perceived stress in parents of children diagnosed with leukemia. It was also concluded that the program was effective in maintaining parents’ level of well-being.
