The present study seeks to establish the way in which neuroeducation can be used in classroom activities through a documentary review. Where it was found that early childhood is a fundamental stage of human development and, therefore, the Ministry of Education has given high priority to children from their conception to their first years of life. At this time, the brain undergoes an irreversible transformation. For it to grow and develop, going through sensitive moments for the acquisition of certain specific learning, millions of phenomenal neural connections are created. For this reason, it requires that external stimuli be of high quality, allowing children to live experiences according to each need, using physical resources and multisensory tools. It is crucial to understand that the brain develops properly considering the harmonious interaction between genetics and environmental cues. For this reason, the experiences lived by children are crucial because they allow the brain development process to be adjusted, resulting in positive or negative outcomes depending on whether adults are present in children’s lives.

Counseling Gen Alpha: Pandemic's Impact on Developmental and Mental Health

The covid- 19 pandemic has had a widespread impact on global health. Many studies have discussed its effect on various populations and continue to study measures to work on them. The upcoming research has a limited focus on Generation Alpha: individuals born after 2010 who have been exposed to these adverse effects from their formative years: the digital age, social isolation, and environmental stressors. It has left a significant impression on their developmental milestones and mental health for which the healthcare professionals and parents are not fully equipped with. This review paper aims to discuss how the flexible and adaptive nature of counseling can employ strategies to help overcome these problems and assist in the ‘digital pandemic’ that is here to stay. The review method will analyze existing literature using citation tracking, conference proceedings, internet search engines, and primarily through open peer-reviewed electronic databases like PubMed, Research Gate, and ScienceDirect.. The results and implications of the study will be highlighted in the full paper.

Using metabolic data to investigate the role of brood size in the development of endothermy

Altricial songbirds transform themselves from naked poikilotherms to fully feathered endothermic homeotherms over a matter of days from hatching to fledging. The ontogeny of endothermy is a developmental milestone for birds that not only face warmer average temperatures, but also increasingly frequent cold snaps and extreme weather. The timing of development of endothermy has been studied in altricial birds for over half a century. However, the determinants and constraints of the onset of endothermy are not yet fully understood. We experimentally investigated whether brood size influences the ontogeny of endothermic heat production in 4–8 day‐old nestling blue tits Cyanistes caeruleus in southern Sweden. The thermogenic response to a cooling challenge (15°C) increased with age overall. We found that 8‐day‐old nestlings from reduced broods had a slightly increased capacity for endothermic heat production compared to enlarged broods. This difference cannot be explained by body mass because this trait did not differ between brood size categories. Although a metabolic response was present in most nestlings by day 6, it was brief, not lasting more than a few minutes, and not sufficient to maintain a stable body temperature in any age group. Our study shows that incipient endothermy is present at an early age in nestling blue tits and may advance faster in reduced broods, but that individual nestlings lack sufficient insulation and thermogenic performance to maintain homeothermy independently during the first week of life.

Content Validity of Teacher’s Evaluation of Neurodevelopmental Delays (TEDD) Tool for Indian Preschoolers

Background Early detection of developmental delays in children can significantly help them realise their full potential. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V), is the system in use at the moment to detect neurodevelopmental delays among children in the United States and other Western nations. However, due to cultural differences, there is a pertinent need for a content-validated module in the context of low- and middle-income countries, including India. Purpose The aim of this study was to develop and validate Teacher’s Evaluation of Neurodevelopmental Delays (TEDD) tool based on the criterions and definitions of neurodevelopmental disorders as mentioned in DSM-V and then synced with developmental milestones mentioned in International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (ICD-10) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)/ New York City Early Education Centre (NYCE) framework, and items were worded in behavioural terms Methods We did a thorough review of the literature for the development of TEDD tool and used modified Delphi technique to content validate it. Data from nine experts, such as doctors, clinical psychologists, special educators, speech and language and applied behaviour analysis therapist were used for the analysis. Results Analysis resulted into 28 items being retained which can be applied in the Indian context. Conclusion This study has shown good content validity of the TEDD tool. Future studies are being planned to rule the feasibility and reliability of this tool.

Maternal probiotic supplementation protects against PBDE-induced developmental, behavior and metabolic reprogramming in a sexually dimorphic manner: Role of gut microbiome

AbstractPolybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are endocrine-disrupting persistent organic pollutants (POPs) used as flame retardants in a wide range of commercial applications. We have previously reported neurobehavioral and metabolic reprogramming produced by developmental PBDEs. PBDEs perturb the microbiome, an influencer of life-long health, while probiotic supplementation with Limosilactobacillus reuteri (LR) can avert neurobehavioral and endocrine disruption. We, therefore, tested the hypothesis that perinatal maternal LR supplementation would protect gut microbiome richness and diversity, developmental milestones, adult neurobehavior and metabolic homeostasis in PBDE-exposed offspring. C57BL/6N dams were orally exposed to a commercial penta-mixture of PBDEs, DE-71, at 0.1 mg/kg/day, or corn oil vehicle (VEH/CON) during gestation and lactation. Mice offspring received DE-71 or VEH/CON with or without co-administration of LR (ATCC-PTA-6475) indirectly via their mother from gestational day (GD) 0 until postnatal day (P)21 (Cohort 1), or continued to receive LR directly from P22 through adulthood (Cohort 2). Results of fecal 16S rRNA sequencing indicated age- and sex-dependent effects of DE-71 on gut microbial communities. Maternal LR treatment protected against DE-71-induced reduction in α-diversity in P22 females and against β-diversity alterations in P30 males. In females, DE-71 changed the relative abundance of specific bacterial taxa, such as Tenericutes and Cyanobacteria (elevated) and Deferribacterota (reduced). In males, several Firmicutes taxa were elevated, while Proteobacteria, Chlamydiae, and several Bacteroidota taxa were reduced. The number of disrupted taxa normalized by maternal LR supplementation was as follows: 100% in P22 females and 33% in males at P22 and 25% at P30. Maternal LR treatment protected against DE-71-induced delay of postnatal body weight gain in males and ameliorated the abnormal timing of incisor eruption in both sexes. Further, DE-71 produced exaggerated digging in both sexes as well as locomotor hyperactivity in females, effects that were mitigated by maternal LR only in females. Other benefits of LR therapy included normalization of glucose tolerance, insulin-to-glucose ratio and plasma leptin in adult DE-71 females (Cohort 2). This study provides evidence that probiotic supplementation can mitigate POP-induced reprogramming of neurodevelopment, adult neurobehavior, and glucose metabolism in association with modified gut microbial community structure in a sex-dependent manner.

Challenges Of Obtaining Reliable Eyewitness Testimony from Children and Practical Implications

The reliability of eyewitness testimony provided by children has always been a controversial area in research. This paper addresses the challenges of obtaining reliable eyewitness testimony from children and explores its practical implications. The research background highlights the importance of understanding children's developmental stage, memory and language skills, and how these factors influence their ability to provide accurate testimony. The review explores the different aspects that influence the reliability of children's testimony, including verbal and non-verbal factors, cognitive instructions, and how to build trust. As children have high emotional needs, it is important to provide support while obtaining eyewitness testimony. The final section summarizes the main findings, highlighting the effectiveness of multiple interviews, flexible questioning strategies and the importance of parent and interviewer support. Disadvantages include differences in children's anxiety levels and the need to adapt interview techniques to children. Future research should focus on refining these techniques and studying the impact of different support systems on children from different backgrounds.

Variations in Sexual Identity Milestones Among Asexual People.

There is increasing interest in the interpersonal factors that shape the development of asexual individual's sexual identity, including age, gender, and romantic orientation. In this study, we examined variability in timing and pacing of asexual identity development milestones, with a focus on the diversity present in the asexual population. Among a sample of 317 participants aged 18-59 from three distinct birth cohorts, we measured participants' ages of asexual identity development milestones, including: first awareness of a lack of sexual attraction, first searching for orientation, first discovery of the term asexuality, first self-identification, and first disclosure. Participants from more recent cohorts reported earlier and accelerated pacing of milestones relative to those from middle and older cohorts. Subgroups defined by gender also varied in milestone timing, with cisgender participants experiencing asexual identity development milestones at a later age than gender non-binary cohorts. No significant difference in milestones were found among romantic orientation sub-groups, apart from the timing of identity disclosure. Romantic-identified asexual individuals disclosed their asexual identities much sooner than aromantic-identified asexual individuals following identification as asexual. By comparing differences within subpopulations, the results of this study extend upon our understanding of the various sub-identities that exist within the asexual population and attend to different experiences within the asexual community. This in turn contributes towards our understanding of how asexual people experience interpersonal relationships, their interactions with others, and how they develop a positive sense of identity.

Hemoglobin level and common mental disorder among school adolescent girls in Central Ethiopia: Structural Equation Model.

The prevalence of common mental disorder (CMD) and anemia is observed to be on the rise over time, adversely affecting the health and overall quality of life among adolescents. Extensive literature corroborates the significant impact of anemia on cognitive development, intelligence and developmental milestones. Nevertheless, the linkage between hemoglobin level and CMD emerging during adolescence remains relatively unexplored. Thus, the objective of this study was to investigate the association between hemoglobin level and CMD as well as the mediating factor among school adolescent girls residing in Central Ethiopia. A cross-sectional study design was conducted among adolescent girls attending schools in Silti Woreda, Central Ethiopia, comprising a total sample size of 516 individuals during the period from October 2-20, 2023. Hemoglobin level was adjusted for altitude, while CMD was evaluated utilising the summation score of a 20-item Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Data were analysed through fitting Structural Equation Model and the maximum likelihood estimation method. Goodness of fit was assessed using the χ2The -test statistic, Comparative Fit Index, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation, Standardised Root Mean Square Residual, Non-Normed Fit Index, Pclose and coefficient of determination (R2). The prevalence of CMD was 22.3% (95% CI: 18.6%-25.8%). Hemoglobin level (UTE = -0.73, CI: -0.93, -0.53) and experience of morbidity symptoms (UTE = 1.05; CI: 0.74, 1.38) were significantly associated with CMD. Furthermore, hemoglobin level is significantly influenced by morbidity frequency symptoms (UDE = -0.63, CI = -0.77, -0.49) and animal source food (ASF) (UDE = 0.09, CI = 0.01, 0.17). Hemoglobin level has been identified as a significant mediator of the experience of morbidity symptoms and ASF on CMD. However, household food insecurity and wealth index had no significant association with CMD. A significant proportion of adolescent girls face CMD, often linked to a lower hemoglobin level. Having a significant association with CMD, the hemoglobin level is found to mediate a significant effect of morbidity symptom experience and ASF on CMD. Hence, addressing early infection prevention, promoting ASF and treating anemia are promptly needed.

Neurodevelopment in the First 2 Years of Life Following Prenatal Exposure to Maternal SARS-CoV-2 Infection

The effects of prenatal exposure to SARS-CoV-2 infection on child development throughout the first 2 years of life are unknown. To evaluate whether prenatal exposure to SARS-CoV-2 infection was associated with child neurodevelopmental outcomes during the first 2 years of life. This cohort study used data from the longitudinal, population-based pan-Canadian Pregnancy During the COVID-19 Pandemic cohort, which recruited participants from April 2020 to July 2022. Children were categorized as exposed to prenatal SARS-CoV-2 infection if their birthing parent had a positive polymerase chain reaction test performed by a health authority or as a healthy negative comparison if their birthing parent did not have SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in their postpartum dried blood spot sample. Prenatal SARS-CoV-2 infection. The birthing parent reported on their child's temperament at ages 6 and 24 months, developmental milestones at ages 12 and 24 months, and social-emotional milestones at ages 12 and 24 months. A total of 896 children were included, with 96 children who had been exposed to a prenatal SARS-CoV-2 infection (mean [SD] gestational age at birth, 39.20 [1.50] weeks; 45 [47%] male) and 800 were healthy negative comparisons (mean [SD] gestational age at birth, 39.47 [1.54] weeks; 388 [49%] male). In analyses of covariance adjusted for prepregnancy medical conditions and household socioeconomic status, prenatal exposure to SARS CoV-2 infection was associated with slightly higher regulatory control scores, indicating more regulation, at age 6 months (difference in means, 0.19 [95% CI, 0.02-0.36]; P = .03; ηp2 = 0.01). No significant differences were observed for the other neurodevelopmental outcomes. In mixed models adjusted for the same covariates that aimed to examine change in outcomes over time, prenatal SARS-CoV-2 infection exposure was not associated with developmental change in any neurodevelopmental outcomes between ages 6 and 24 months. In this longitudinal cohort study of multiple aspects of child neurodevelopment between ages 6 and 24 months, negligible associations between prenatal exposure to SARS-CoV-2 infection and child outcomes were observed. Follow-up research is warranted to determine whether these predominantly null effects persist into later childhood.

Type-1 spinal muscular atrophy cohort before and after disease-modifying therapies.

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA-5q) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive muscle atrophy, hypotonia, and weakness, with SMA 1 presenting symptoms within the first 6 months of life. Disease-modifying therapies have been approved, with better outcomes with earlier treatment. To describe the safety and clinical efficacy of disease-modifying therapies based on SMN1 and SMN2 gene strategies concerning motor, respiratory, and bulbar function. Patients with SMA 1 were divided into 2 groups: those exclusively on nusinersen (group 1) and those transitioning to onasemnogene abeparvovec (OA) (group 2). Over 18 months, patients were assessed using the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Infant Test of Neuromuscular Disorders (CHOP-INTEND) scale, developmental milestones, ventilation needs and duration, nutritional support needs, consistency of food, and signs of dysphagia. There were ten patients, divided between the groups; in group 1, the average age for starting nusinersen was 53.6 (12-115) months, and, in group 2, the age was 7 (1-12) months for nusinersen and 15.2 (10-19) months for OA. Our results indicate that 70% of patients reached some motor milestones, with group 1 increasing by 10.2 points on the CHOP-INTEND scale, while group 2 increased by 33 points. Additionally, 90% of the patients experienced no respiratory decline, and 30% maintained oral feeding. No serious adverse effects or deaths were recorded. Both groups showed improvement in motor function and stabilization of respiratory and bulbar function, with the difference between the groups possibly being related to the earlier treatment initiation. Thus, the present study provides valuable insights into the real-world safety and clinical efficacy of disease-modifying therapies for SMA 1 patients.

The interplay of immunity and growth: a case of combined variable immunodeficiency and growth hormone deficiency

Introduction: Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is one of the more common immunodeficiencies seen in clinical practice with a complex disease pathology; while growth hormone deficiency (GHD) is a disorder characterized by complete or relative absence of the human growth hormone. Case presentation: This case report presents a 13-year-old female patient with a long history of recurrent respiratory tract and ear infections, along with a notable failure to hit her developmental milestones early in the second decade of her life. The diagnosis was based on a thorough investigation of serum immunoglobulins for CVID and a GH stimulation test for GHD. For these, the patient was placed on a tailored regimen of IVIGs, somatropin therapy, and antibiotics for the recurrent infections. Case discussion: CVID patients characteristically present with recurrent respiratory and ear infections, showing a marked decrease in immunity. Often diagnosed in childhood, GHD typically presents as growth failure along with developmental delays in dentition. There has been a notable rise in the coexistence of immunodeficiency syndromes and endocrinopathies studied in the past few decades. The case highlights and discusses the complex underlying pathology at play that links the two conditions to each other, while also excluding the various differentials. Conclusion: The report highlights the various challenges faced by both clinicians and patients when dealing with dual health conditions that may have a relatively nonspecific presentation. Some of which include the diagnostic difficulties, financial strains on the patient leading to poor follow-up, and in the long-term, the development of various complications. This emphasizes the importance of early disease diagnosis and strict management protocols for the said disease, for the overall betterment of the patient’s quality of life.

Holohemispheric Hemorhhage in Infantile Acute Subdural Hematoma: Serial Neuroimaging Analysis

Background: An acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) in infants without any external sign of trauma is differently recognized as shaken baby syndrome (SBS) / abusive head trauma (AHT) in the United States or as infantile acute subdural hematoma (IASDH) due to minor head trauma in Japan. The present case report aimed to demonstrate that IASDH can occur after a mild head impact if the dural border cell layer is disrupted in an infant with cranio-cerebral disproportion (CCD). Case description: A 5-month-old, male patient fell from a baby bed and struck his occiput against a mat. He began to cry and soon thereafter demonstrated signs of altered consciousness. He was taken to a pediatric hospital where computed tomography (CT) revealed a thin subdural hematoma (SDH) surrounding the entire right cerebral hemisphere. Fundoscopy found a right-sided retinal hemorrhage. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on hospital day 4 revealed a thin, high-intensity ASDH surrounding the entire, cerebral convexity on the right side. In addition, benign enlargement of the subarachnoid space (BESS) and large sylvian fissure (LSF) were noted. On hospital day 12 and 18, follow-up MRI revealed a residual SDH with minimal reduction. The patient had an uneventful clinical course and met all the normal, developmental milestones as of his current age of 3 years. Conclusion: The present case is invaluable because it demonstrates that ASDH can occur as a result of a mild, occipital impact. Particularly relevant here is the thin, holohemispheric appearance of the hematoma on neuroimaging studies, which has been suitably termed, holohemispheric subdural hematoma (HHSDH). Also noteworthy is the long-term presence of the HHSDH with minimal reduction of the SDH. The HHSDH may be caused by entrapment of the hematoma in the dural border cell layer in the absence of any communication with the surrounding structures.

Exploring an Understanding of Menarche and Its Challenges Among Primary School Girls in Tanzania

This study examines the understanding and challenges of menarche among primary school girls in Tanzania, addressing three key objectives: assessing awareness of menarche and its associated challenges, evaluating management strategies, and determining the impact of menstrual disorders on academic performance. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach with questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, data were collected from four primary schools involving 60 female pupils from standards five to seven and four matron teachers. Findings reveal that while 51.7% of pupils have some understanding of menstruation, nearly 50% remain uninformed, especially in lower grades. The study also shows that menstruation onset is a significant developmental milestone, with 85% of Standard Seven pupils menstruating compared to 25% in Standard Five. Challenges such as stomach pains, lack of appetite, and inadequate access to sanitary products were also reported by 45% of students. Infrastructural deficits, including a lack of private changing rooms and proper disposal systems, were further reported to hinder effective menstrual management. Additionally, traditional practices for managing menstrual pain were reported, highlighting the need for integrating professional medical advice. Furthermore, menstrual challenges led to absenteeism, decreased concentration, and reduced confidence among girls, which directly affected their educational outcomes and exacerbated gender disparities in education. Based on these findings, the study advocates for early menstrual education, improved school infrastructure, and comprehensive support systems to enhance girls’ well-being and academic success, presenting menstruation as a socio-educational issue that requires a holistic, integrated approach from all stakeholders.

Data-driven prediction of early language delay at Youth Health Care Services in the Netherlands

Abstract Introduction Language development in early childhood significantly impacts future academic success, social interaction, and emotional well-being. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a prediction model using data on developmental milestones and parents’ socio-economic background known at age 2, and translate the results into an interactive digital dashboard and pilot it with Youth Health Care (YHC) professionals and parents. Methods A mixed-method study on retrospective cohort of children attending YHC at age 2, followed up until age 4. Data on language development, gender, parental education, and home language environment were obtained from YHC digital dossiers and linked to parental socio-economic status characteristics, and perinatal outcomes and healthcare costs using a secure remote access environment of Statistics Netherlands. Random forest and logistic regression models were computed with language development at age 4 as an outcome, initially using all available data at age 2 as predictors and then with a restricted model using variables readily available in YHC settings. Models performance was assessed using sensitivity, specificity, and AUC value. Results were visualized through an interactive dashboard and pilot-tested in simulated consultations. Results Among 9,148 children, 13.2% had language development delay at age 4. The full model had an AUC of 0.78, while the restricted model (gender, parental education, language environment, and language development), achieved an AUC of 0.77. YHC professionals and parents recognized the value of individualized, data-driven risk assessment for potential language delay to stimulate the discussion of preventive interventions. Conclusions A good quality prediction model for language development at age 4 can be derived from just a few background characteristics of the child and parents at age 2. The digital dashboard presents a practical approach of integrating prediction model results into daily YHC practice. Reconsidering Fromm and feminisms, part II: a case for psychosocial compatibilities

This article continues an earlier one about how the work of Erich Fromm and feminist theories are compatible despite the connection usually remaining overlooked. Drawing on Fromm’s critique of Freud’s analysis of Dora, but also going further, I argue that associating Fromm and contemporary feminist thought is particularly important in the context of growing authoritarianism on the right and sometimes as reflected also on the left. The article elaborates upon five points of ‘psychosocial compatibility’ between Fromm’s humanistic vision and the ideas of several well-known feminist theorists including Simone de Beauvoir, Nancy Chodorow, Jessica Benjamin and others. The five points of psychosocial compatibility addressed between From and contemporary feminisms as addressed here are: connecting the personal and the political while stressing the prefigurative; kindred issues concerning objectification and self-love; emphases on relatedness and the pre-oedipal stage of human development; concerns about multi-dimensionality and intersectionality; and shared political beliefs aimed at overcoming gender and other oppressive inequalities

Development will (try to) find its way: a qualitative study of Chilean adolescent mental health during and after lockdown

BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic has had a well-evidenced impact on adolescents, who are especially sensitive to pandemic disruptions given the critical role of socialization in their development. In Chile too, evidence shows increases in mental health complaints among adolescents over the lockdown period. Our study aimed at exploring the experiences of Chilean adolescents regarding their mental health during the lockdown and school closure (March 2020-December 2021), and during the return to on-site education (2022) as informed by adolescents and school staff, with a focus on family, school, and social sources of risk and support for adolescents’ wellbeing during these periods.MethodsUsing a qualitative approach, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 19 adolescents and 16 staff members from schools in an urban area of Chile.ResultsThrough thematic analysis, we generated five themes: [1] Adolescents in a mental health crisis, comprising a range of distressing experiences and mental health problems. This crisis was fueled by alterations in the functioning of adolescents’ systems: [2] Broken support systems (peers and school); [3] The school agenda must go on, reflecting schools’ strict compliance with the educational curriculum; and [4] Blurred boundaries between home and school life and within the family. Finally [5], Development will (try to) find its way describes how most participants experienced a bouncing back to wellbeing in the course of the school year upon return, and how some developmental milestones took place despite the abnormal conditions, providing evidence for resilience amid pandemic adversity.ConclusionsThe findings give insight into how the exchanges between the adolescent and the social systems they are embedded in were interfered. The results help us understand the challenges for mental health during and after the pandemic, and highlight adolescents’ capacity to thrive as normality was restored. The results also underscore the importance of upholding stability across adolescents’ systems and routines, in order to mitigate impacts on wellbeing amid abnormal circumstances. The findings are relevant for development-informed initiatives in policy design in the aftermath of the pandemic and in future crisis management responses.

03 Best practice for transition from paediatric complex pain care: A scoping review

Abstract Background Many adolescent and young adults (AYA) experiencing chronic pain often continue to have pain in adulthood and thus must make the transition from paediatric care to adult care. Persistent pain and disability due to chronic pain throughout young adulthood can disrupt the attainment of important developmental milestones at transition to adulthood that impact quality of life. Inadequate transition planning may be associated with poor health outcomes and increased health utilization. However, only few studies have described the specific transition protocol from paediatric to adult care that AYA with chronic pain must make. Objectives To improve understanding of transitional care needs during transition planning and after transition (quality of care), this paper will determine known barriers to successful transition from paediatric chronic pain care to adult care as well as factors associated with successful transition from paediatric multidisciplinary paediatric chronic pain care, identify patient care needs at transition from paediatric chronic pain care, and finally describe the best practice (existing frameworks) to support youth at transition from paediatric chronic pain care. Design/Methods This scoping review used previously published Arksey and O’Malley framework and followed the PRISMA guidelines. It sought to answer the following questions. What are the barriers to successful transition and what factors are associated with successful transition from paediatric chronic pain care to adult care? What are patient care needs at transition from paediatric chronic pain care? How can we best support youth at transition from interdisciplinary paediatric chronic pain care? A literature search was carried on Ovid Medline and 12 studies (11 research articles and 1 dissertation) published from 2015 to 2022 were included in the review, with only one theoretical transition framework that may be useful in the Canadian healthcare setting. Results In this scoping review, interpersonal, organizational, and systemic barriers and enablers for successful transition were identified. The most frequently identified barriers to successful transition include lack of self-efficacy, trust, communication, coordination of care between paediatric and adult care. A need of early transition, an individualized approach, fluid and dynamic transition process, and age-appropriate resources were identified as primary patient care needs during transition. Four frameworks supporting transitional care for AYA with chronic health conditions were identified. Conclusion Limited evidence suggests that there is lack of standardized transition protocol for clinical use. There is an urgent need for an evidence-based transition tools for clinical use for AYA with chronic pain.

Background: The five-year period in the stage of child development is the golden age, which is a golden period in the period of growth and development of children. During this period, everything that is poured out and absorbed in the child will become the basis and sharp memory in the child, including the maintenance of dental health. The growth of 3 to 5-year-olds has some skills such as color naming. Children do tend to prefer to play. Children's activities while playing while learning can support growth and development and absorb learning optimally. Games that can be played while learning are putting together simple puzzles, drawing and coloring, composing and stacking block games, playing sand, clay or toy candles, singing, role-playing, playing music and board games. Objectives: To develop dental and oral health game boards for kindergarten children aged 3-5 years in kindergartens in the Kersamenak sub-district, Kawalu Tasikamalaya District. Methods: The research method is carried out by research and development (R&D) methods and Quasi experiments with non-equivalent pre and post test designs. The research was conducted by conducting FGD with kindergarten teachers in the Kersamenak sub-district area, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City using a total sampling technique of 30 teachers. Results: The description of the conclusion to the respondents' answers is the development of dental and oral health game boards for kindergarten children aged 3-5 years in kindergartens in the Kersamenak sub-district, Kawalu Tasikamalaya District. Conclusion: Production of dental and oral health game boards and game board manuals.
