NasiQu: Designing Mobile Applications with the Concept of Social Entrepreneurship for Hunger People Using Agile Methods

Entrepreneurship is becoming an essential part of everyday life today. But the social problems of society, especially cases of hunger, have also become an essential issue to date. Digital entrepreneurship has become a trend recently, with many digital business platforms and emerging applications. However, combining digital entrepreneurship with social activities becomes more attractive, which we know as Digital Social Entrepreneurship. This study describes and explains the stages in designing NasiQu, a mobile social entrepreneurship application, to see how agile can make digital social entrepreneurship interesting by involving people's sense of concern for people in need, in this case, hungry people. The Agile method, one of many used in software development, is the one that is being used. The Agile method is a short-term system development approach that calls for quick adaptation and developers who can work with any change. The results of this product from NasiQu can facilitate donations in the form of packaged rice to those who need food; in the case of this implementation, it is still specifically for orphans. In this application, there are three users, namely donors, admins, and partners. All these users have different roles and application usage flows. In addition, this application makes food donation activities more effective and can be done anywhere and anytime. It is hoped that the ongoing implementation of this activity will help many people who need food and impact opening new job opportunities.

Design and Development of a Web-Based Medicine Inventory Information System

The establishment of this company took place in 2011, and it currently has a workforce of 63 individuals. The company distributes goods exclusively to authorized agencies or pharmacies rather than the general public. Only entities with a valid business license can purchase drugs from this company. It should be noted that this company does not produce drugs but rather acquires them from suppliers for resale. There are still challenges in gathering reports on the inflow and outflow of medicine stock data during inventorying. These reports are still reliant on ledger records. Consequently, warehouse staff require considerable time to document reports regarding the arrival and departure of items. This study aims to examine and create a web-based system for managing drug inventory, which is essential for enterprises. Developing this system entails utilizing the Prototyping methodology as a system development approach and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a modeling instrument. The activities implemented in this system encompass the management of goods data, incoming goods transactions, outgoing goods transactions, inventory management, goods stock reports, outgoing goods reports, incoming goods reports, and user administration. Based on this study, a web application was developed to address the drug supply system issues at Pharmaceutical Distribution Companies In Bandung.

Web-Based Sales Information System in One of The Cash Shops Using the Business to Customer Method

Science and information technology's rapid and sophisticated progress motivates humans to generate novel solutions that facilitate easy and speedy information acquisition. Consumer behavior has experienced a substantial transformation in the present digital age. Many people opt for Internet purchasing due to the ease, accessibility, and flexibility it provides. The fashion industry is not immune to this phenomenon, as internet retailers are gaining popularity as a preferred method for buying clothing and accessories. Online retailers offer advantages such as convenient access to product catalogs, the ability to purchase at any time and from any location, and a broader selection of options. This offers a substantial opportunity for fashion retailers to access a larger pool of potential customers and enhance their market dominance. The sales process in a particular fashion store now depends on a traditional system involving direct transactions at the physical store and maintaining sales data through paper documents. This technique encounters multiple impediments that must be surmounted. A significant challenge is the limited accessibility to clients beyond the geographical confines of the physical business. In addition, using paper documents to manage sales data also needs to be improved in efficiency and accuracy. The method is laborious and prone to human errors. As inferred from the background description, the author's objective is to develop a web-based sales information system for a fashion retailer utilizing the business-to-customer approach. This system will streamline the sales process and aid in managing sales data, encompassing product data, customer data, and transactions. The system development will utilize the PHP programming language and the MySQL database, widely employed in online development. The research methodologies encompass literature review, observation, and interviews. The chosen approach for system development is Object-Oriented Software Engineering (OOSE), which utilizes Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system modeling. This includes using various diagrams such as use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams. Hence, the sales information system is anticipated to offer a more efficient resolution for carrying out sales procedures and enhancing data administration promptly, safely, and precisely. Implementing this strategy will enable the fashion store to expand its consumer base, particularly among individuals located beyond the geographical reach of the actual store, thereby improving overall business performance.

Practical Work Activities carried out in the Information Systems Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology State Islamic University of North Sumatra still carry out the semi-manual attendance recording process. This process is done semi-manually using paper and then entered into Microsoft Excel. This makes the process of processing student attendance data considered less effective and efficient. This is due to the fact that it is difficult to send student attendance data to those who need it and that the data is only stored on a particular computer device. The purpose of this research is to create an android-based application that can be used by the Information Systems study program to process student attendance data and facilitate the distribution of attendance data. This research uses waterfall approach for system development. Includes the stages of Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, and Deployment. On the other hand, the system testing method uses the black box testing method. This application is created with a codular framework and spreadsheet database, and can be accessed through android devices and accessed online. The result of this research is in the form of an application that can conduct student practical work attendance and provide report recaps to the study program. This application helps information system study program operators process student attendance data by adding data and facilitating the distribution of attendance data.

Application of Bayes Method To Design A Decision Support System Fof Determining The Status Of Permanent Employees In A Soft Beverage Company

The purpose of this study is to learn how to create a decision support system that can help with the process of deciding whether to hire contract workers on a permanent basis. The following methods of gathering data were employed in this study: literature review, interviews, and observation. The system development approach that the author employed to create this program was called rapid application development, or RAD. The decision support system that has been developed for contract employees to become permanent employees can assist and make it easier to see and read the results of contract employee assessments, according to the research results. This is because the system is quantitative and can generate reports that show the total numerical value of each criterion and sub-criteria for candidates for permanent employment. The system that has been developed has the ability to generate a report on contract employee assessments that presents contract employees in order of recommendation. The evaluation procedure and computation results can be accelerated with the use of a decision support system for contract employees who wish to become permanent employees. This way, the choice of whether to graduate or become a permanent employee can be made in less than seven days.

Traditional constraints in project cost monitoring necessitate a solution to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in management. This research aims to introduce a web-based project cost management information system that focuses on the application of the Earned Value Management (EVM) method. By employing a web-based system development approach using the Earned Value Management (EVM) method to accurately monitor project costs and performance. The utilization of web technology enables real-time access for stakeholders, facilitating more timely monitoring and evaluation. The implementation of this system has made a positive contribution to project cost management at PT. Kalta Citra Utama. Testing conducted demonstrates increased real-time transparency and accuracy in project cost information, providing better support for managerial decision-making. Implementing a web-based project cost management information system with the Earned Value Management (EVM) method at PT. Kalta Citra Utama will prove to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project cost management. This demonstrates significant potential in optimizing project management practices in the construction industry.

 The background of this research is the importance of using information technology in health services to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of health services. However, there are still many challenges in implementing electronic medical record systems, such as difficulties in integrating data from various sources, data security issues, and limitations in data accessibility. The purpose of this research is to design and implement a cloud computing-based electronic medical record system that can meet the special needs of various healthcare providers and improve the accessibility of patient data safely and efficiently. The method used in this study is a system development approach based on the software development life cycle by combining user-based design principles and feedback from healthcare providers. The result of this research is a web-based electronic medical record system that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, with features such as medical history tracking, appointment scheduling, prescription management, and billing management. This system also has a high level of security to protect patient privacy and prevent unauthorized access.
 
 
 

Quality by Design (QbD) and Design of Experiments (DOE) as a Strategy for Tuning Lipid Nanoparticle Formulations for RNA Delivery.

The successful development of nonviral delivery systems for nucleic acids has been reported extensively over the past years. Increasingly employed to improve the delivery efficiency and therapeutic efficacy of RNA are lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Many of the various critical formulation parameters can affect the quality attributes and effectiveness of these nano-formulations. Therefore, the systematic drug development approach (QbD) and multivariate design and statistical analysis (DOE) can be very helpful and recommended for the optimization of the composition and production of RNA-LNPs. This review addresses the concepts and applications of QbD and/or DOE for the development of lipid nanoparticles for the delivery of different types of RNA, reporting examples published in the ten recent years presenting the latest trends and regulatory requirements as well as the modern mathematical and statistical design methods. As the topic explored in this review is a novel approach, the full QbD has been described in only a few papers, and a few refer only to some aspects of QbD. In contrast, the DOE approach has been used in most of the optimization works. Different approaches and innovations in DOE have been observed. Traditional statistical tests and modeling (ANOVA, regression analysis) are slowly being replaced by artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.

A Framework for the Design of Inclusive Community-Based Early Childhood Intervention Programs

In this article, a framework for the creation of a fully inclusive and comprehensive early childhood intervention system is described. Although aspirational at this time, the potential for developmental science, intervention science, and implementation science to be integrated to maximize the effectiveness of early intervention systems is presented in the context of the Developmental Systems Approach. This framework guides a practice model emphasizing a family-centered problem-solving process that focuses on supporting well-characterized family patterns of interaction that contribute to children's development. Discussed as well is the ability of such an integrated system to be compatible with and incorporate principles and practices from a human rights perspective; all designed to support family and child goals. The transformational potential of this framework for organizing inclusive community-based early childhood programs is considered.

Prediction Analysis of Laboratory Equipment Depreciation Using Supervised Learning Methods

Asset management in Indonesia still poses problems in terms of securing state-owned property. These concerns make it difficult for analysts to predict laboratory equipment depreciation. Therefore, this research aims to create a new model to address this issue. Additionally, to support laboratory managers in gaining insights, a technology-based framework in the form of a laboratory equipment depreciation prediction model has been developed. A new model has been created in this research, which integrates supervised learning models with linear regression algorithms, and subsequently employs a waterfall system development approach. The testing results of the model for predicting laboratory equipment depreciation showed a high level of accuracy, reaching 93%. Furthermore, the comparison between the prediction model and the laboratory equipment data tested directly by technicians demonstrated an accuracy rate of 100%. Finally, the numerical results demonstrate that our framework provides a valuable solution to the difficulties in predicting laboratory equipment depreciation, offering an innovative and practical approach to laboratory equipment maintenance.

A context-aware smart product-service system development approach and application case

With advancements in information and communication technologies (ICTs), one of the epitomes of ICTs are smart product-service systems (SPSSs), which have attracted much research attention in recent years. The capture and analysis of users' dynamic situations are crucial for generating personalized services. Thus the context awareness ability with better self-adaptation and capability to mine information on implicit needs appears to be promising to cope with this issue. However, approaches for the development of a model that integrates context analysis and SPSS have not been fully explored. Therefore, this study presents a new perspective with the incorporation of context awareness, and then proposes a conceptual framework for an SPSS with context awareness (CA-SPSS) and the approach to develop this system. Specifically, the approach consists of four steps. The first step is context acquisition to create a wireless sensor network with wearable devices to acquire the physiological data of users. Second, context modeling procedures are set up on a cloud platform, such as for data collection, storage, and analysis. Moreover, machine learning datasets with information obtained through multiple channels, such as user, physical, sensed and inferred contexts, are generated. Afterwards, neural network models are used for context reasoning to determine the modalities for the users. To produce the appropriate service contents for each user modality level, a multi-criteria decision making process is employed to form customized service strategies for context distribution. To implement the proposed approach, an SPSS case for supporting non-professional sports competitions is developed and assessed in terms of the model performance and user satisfaction. The results show that the model deployed in the system has a better performance than traditional machine learning models. According to the findings from the user experiments, the subjects are very satisfied with the personalized service bundles and intelligence, but find that the reliability is suffering. The case study shows that the proposed CA-SPSS approach contributes to extending the available definitions of context in the literature and effectively guides the further development of SPSSs, especially in sports and mobile health.

Designing of Electronic Employee Recruitment System Using The Analytical Hierarchy Process Method

A computer-based information system called the Decision Support System (DSS) generates several decision alternatives to help management cope with diverse issues in a semi-structured way. As a company engaged in marine survey services, the process of hiring new employees is important. It takes a long time to choose and decide whether to accept potential employees under the present recruitment procedure, and HRD is having trouble making decisions on accepting applicants who satisfy the requirements. Building a decision-support system for employing people is the aim of this research. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) model is the system development approach used in this study. The Unified Modelling Language (UML) is used in the system design. System coding is done using PHP and MySQL. The results of the AHP method are applicants who have the highest criterion value, meaning that they have a higher value than other applicants, so that companies can get the employees they want according to the criteria specified in the form of tables and rankings. The manager can get help from this decision-support system when making a choice.

The importance of information technology for customers cannot be overstated. It plays a crucial role in helping individuals streamline their work processes and access the necessary information. Hence, this study has developed a website-based ordering system for vegetable "pecel" to simplify the order placement process for customers. The system development approach adopted here follows the waterfall method. The system design utilizes UML (Unified Modeling System), and it is constructed using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language with a MySQL database. Additionally, it incorporates GPS (Global Positioning System) for location access. During the design and implementation of the system, the researchers applied the PIECES analysis method, which comprises various aspects such as performance, information, cost-effectiveness, control, efficiency, and service. To assess the system's effectiveness, the researchers conducted Black Box Testing to evaluate its functionality.

The use of a web-based sales information system provides a solution to overcome various problems faced by small companies, such as sales data management that is prone to errors and loss of notes. By applying the Waterfall Method as a sequential and structured system development approach. With this technology, companies can increase effectiveness and productivity in handling management problems and provide better service to customers. The results of system testing show that all system features are valid and run as expected. research suggestions related to system features are additional features to find out the status of orders placed by visitors so that an estimation feature can be carried out from the time of the message to completion.

Embodied and Embedded Learning: Child, Caregiver, and Context

The pace of infant learning is inspiring. Babies learn new skills while interacting with the people, objects, and spaces in their everyday environments. Grounded in a developmental-systems approach, we highlight the embodied and embedded nature of infant learning. Learning is embodied in that the exuberant infant serendipitously creates an ideal curriculum for learning through immense amounts of varied, time-distributed practice across behavioral domains. Learning is embedded in that infants’ behaviors elicit timely responses from caregivers that are situated in richly informative and structured environments. Feedback loops generated by the active infant, the salience of caregiver responses, and the regularity of environmental contexts propel learning. The study of natural behaviors in natural environments spotlights the roles of infant, caregiver, and context in everyday learning.

Developing Implementation Strategies to Support the Uptake of a Risk Tool to Aid Physicians in the Clinical Management of Patients With Syncope: Systematic Theoretical and User-Centered Design Approach.

The Canadian Syncope Risk Score (CSRS) was developed to improve syncope management in emergency department settings. Evidence-based tools often fail to have the intended impact because of suboptimal uptake or poor implementation. In this paper, we aimed to describe the process of developing evidence-based implementation strategies to support the deployment and use of the CSRS in real-world emergency department settings to improve syncope management among physicians. We followed a systematic approach for intervention development, including identifying who needs to do what differently, identifying the barriers and enablers to be addressed, and identifying the intervention components and modes of delivery to overcome the identified barriers. We used the Behaviour Change Wheel to guide the selection of implementation strategies. We engaged CSRS end users (ie, emergency medicine physicians) in a user-centered design approach to generate and refine strategies. This was achieved over a series of 3 qualitative user-centered design workshops lasting 90 minutes each with 3 groups of emergency medicine physicians. A total of 14 physicians participated in the workshops. The themes were organized according to the following intervention development steps: theme 1-identifying and refining barriers and theme 2-identifying the intervention components and modes of delivery. Theme 2 was subdivided into two subthemes: (1) generating high-level strategies and developing strategies prototypes and (2) refining and testing strategies. The main strategies identified to overcome barriers included education in the format of meetings, videos, journal clubs, and posters (to address uncertainty around when and how to apply the CSRS); the development of a web-based calculator and integration into the electronic medical record (to address uncertainty in how to apply the CSRS); a local champion (to address the lack of team buy-in); and the dissemination of evidence summaries and feedback through email communications (to address a lack of evidence about impact). The ability of the CSRS to effectively improve patient safety and syncope management relies on broad buy-in and uptake across physicians. To ensure that the CSRS is well positioned for impact, a comprehensive suite of strategies was identified to address known barriers.

Approach in development and implementation of automatic control system in a smart building

The research shows an approach to develop and implement a control system in an observed building. For this purpose, two approaches with simulation results are presented. The first approach is theoretical in nature, with derived equations of a mathematical model. These models are presented in the program ©MATLAB Simulink with the results of temperature change simulations. The second experimental approach is the implementation of a real remote-control system developed with the ©Siemens TIA Portal software tool. It is based on derived system components from the mathematical model. The user interfaces of the system were created using the ©WinCC program. All this was done using the example of a family house with three residential units. The system was developed with the purpose of reducing the needs of thermal energy compared to the existing system. By measuring the heat energy needs, it was found that the new remote-control system reduces the heat energy needs by 12.4 % within one calendar year compared to the existing control system. The reason for this is the implementation of several operating modes in the system: night operation mode, working operation mode and rest operation mode. The system is implemented in such a way that the user can monitor and control the air temperature in the observed room from anywhere and at any time by using a cell phone, computer and Internet connection. It is possible that all housing units in the observed facility are controlled separately. The electric valves of the radiators are controlled by proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controllers. During the automatic adjustment of the PID controller parameters, the values were calculated: proportionality gain constant K = 1.26214 and gain constant of the integration part KI = 7.01238.

Along with the development and advancement of technology, industrial technology is closely related to electric power, one of the most significant aspects that vigorously supports the development, particularly in the Information Technology sector in the urban world. Electric power is a fundamental element for enhancing the welfare of society. Therefore, electrical energy is a measure of societal development. Thus, a website-based information system was developed employing an observational data-gathering technique. This study utilized System Development Live Cycle (SDLC) as the system development approach, Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system analysis and design, PHP as the programming language, and MYSQL as the database.

Developmental Outcomes for Young People Participating in Informal and Lifestyle Sports: A Scoping Review of the Literature, 2000–2020

The aim of this study is to review the literature on lifestyle sports and lifestyle sport contexts with regard to the developmental potential they may represent in young people’s everyday lives. The review applies a relational developmental systems approach to youth development. The eligibility criteria are based on the phenomenon of interest and outcomes. Hence, we include studies examining the associations between young people performing lifestyle sports and potential developmental outcomes: mental, biological, social, and behavioral. The present study shows that the volume of research on informal lifestyle sport is rather extensive and that studies on the way these activity contexts may affect developmental processes in youth are diverse and wide ranging. The studies suggest that performing lifestyle sports may have several beneficial health and skills outcomes. Furthermore, positive associations are suggested between involvement in lifestyle sport contexts such as climbing, snowboarding, parkour, tricking, kiting, and surfing and (a) mental outcomes such joy, happiness, freedom, euphoria, motivation, self-efficacy, and well-being; (b) social outcomes such as gender equality, network building, social inclusion, interaction, friendship; and (c) behavioral outcomes such as identity, creativity, and expressions of masculinity and/or femininity. The review performed indicates that lifestyle sport contexts are flexible according to needs and desires that exist among the practitioners and that the human and democratic origins of these contexts make them supportive for positive movement experiences and for positive youth development. The findings have implications for PE teachers, social workers, policymakers, sport organizations, and urban architecture, in that providing lifestyle sport opportunities in the everyday lives of young people will foster a holistic development in a positive way.

An Agile Model-Based Software Engineering Approach Illustrated through the Development of a Health Technology System

Model-Based Software Engineering (MBSE) is an architecture-based software development approach. Agile, on the other hand, is a light system development approach that originated in software development. To bring together the benefits of both approaches, this article proposes an integrated Agile MBSE approach that adopts a specific instance of the Agile approach (i.e., Scrum) in combination with a specific instance of an MBSE approach (i.e., Model-Based System Architecture Process—“MBSAP”) to create an Agile MBSE approach called the integrated Scrum Model-Based System Architecture Process (sMBSAP). The proposed approach was validated through a pilot study that developed a health technology system over one year, successfully producing the desired software product. This work focuses on determining whether the proposed sMBSAP approach can deliver the desired Product Increments with the support of an MBSE process. The interaction of the Product Development Team with the MBSE tool, the generation of the system model, and the delivery of the Product Increments were observed. The preliminary results showed that the proposed approach contributed to achieving the desired system development outcomes and, at the same time, generated complete system architecture artifacts that would not have been developed if Agile had been used alone. Therefore, the main contribution of this research lies in introducing a practical and operational method for merging Agile and MBSE. In parallel, the results suggest that sMBSAP is a middle ground that is more aligned with federal and state regulations, as it addresses the technical debt concerns. Future work will analyze the results of a quasi-experiment on this approach focused on measuring system development performance through common metrics.
