A new perspective on anthropogenic nitrogen loss mitigation strategies: Integrated control via sustainable regional integration

Unregulated regional integrated development disrupts the reactive nitrogen (Nr) cycle, adding complexity to anthropogenic Nr environmental losses. The objective of this study was to establish a framework for mitigating anthropogenic Nr loss through a new regional integration perspective by analyzing anthropogenic Nr loss and integrated control strategies in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region from 2011 to 2020. The results revealed that the total Nr loss in the YRD ranged from 1780.7 to 1972.0 Gg N yr−1. Re-linking cropland and livestock is crucial for reducing Nr loss, as they act as the main sources of Nr loss. Spatial analysis at the regional scale revealed that regional integration has led to a dispersion of Nr loss, while uneven development among cities has resulted in a westward shift of 8.6 km in the Nr loss centroid, suggesting the need for the implementation of collaborative governance and integrated environmental regulation in the YRD. At the city scale, 27 cities were clustered into six types based on the similarity of Nr loss structural characteristics, allowing for the development of targeted reduction policies based on the specific Nr structural characteristics of each city. The results of driver and mitigation potential analysis indicated the feasibility of achieving the shared goal of sustainable regional integration and the application of optimal mitigation strategies in different cities and the YRD. Overall, the new-perspective framework established in this study provides valuable references for sustainable Nr management in the context of regional integration.

Dynamic Analysis of Regional Integration Development: Comprehensive Evaluation, Evolutionary Trend, and Driving Factors

Regional integration, as an essential measurement for solving unbalanced and uncoordinated regional development, plays an important role in achieving regional sustainable development. In this study, we aimed to construct a systematic research framework to facilitate the development of regional integration. Using 31 prefecture-level cities in the urban agglomeration in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River (MYR-UA) as case sites, this study applied box plots, kernel density estimation, GIS visualization tools, Markov chains, and geographic detectors to reveal the dynamic spatiotemporal evolution and factors influencing regional integration from 2009 to 2018. The results indicate that the level of regional integration and its subsystem development is suboptimal in MYR-UA; the temporal characteristic shows an upward fluctuating trend, and the spatial distribution shows remarkable spatial correlation and clustering characteristics. Additionally, we found that the level of regional integration development in MYR-UA has both “path dependence” and “self-locking” effects, and the spatial lag type has a crucial impact on the degree of regional transfer stability. The dominant factors affecting regional integration development include the GDP per capita, economic openness, industrial structure, proportion of education expenditure in fiscal expenditure, urbanization rate, proportion of environmental investment in fiscal expenditure, population density, capital flow, information flow, and technology flow. Finally, based on the findings of this study, policy recommendations for promoting regional integration are proposed.

Can industrial transfer improve urban innovation efficiency?

Investigating whether industry transfers to different cities and regions contribute to innovative efficiency improvement is a critical issue in addressing the development of urban innovation. Using the implementation of national industrial relocation demonstration zones (NIRDZ) in China as a quasi-natural experiment, this study empirically assesses the impact of industrial relocation upon urban innovation efficiency. This study first measures the urban innovation efficiency of 194 prefectural cities during 2005–2019 using a two-stage data envelopment analysis model. Then, a multiperiod difference-in-differences model is used to evaluate the innovation effects of national-level demonstration zones for undertaking industrial transfers. The results are as follows. First, industrial relocation does contribute to urban innovation efficiency. This conclusion is supported by a series of robustness tests confirming that the NIRDZ pilot policy indeed contributes to this efficiency, including a placebo test, propensity score matching, shortened time window, winsorized outliers, and lag treatment. Secondly, a regional heterogeneity analysis shows that the pilot policy significantly promotes innovation efficiency of cities located in the central region, but there is an insignificant effect in western region cities. The analysis of city size heterogeneity shows that the pilot policy promotes innovation efficiency more significantly in small cities. In contrast, the promotion effect on big cities is not significant. Third, when considering the potential impact mechanisms, the NIRDZ policy positively affects urban innovation efficiency by enhancing the informatization level and improving economic development. Based on the analysis above, this study recommends establishing an effective mechanism for industrial transfer, realizing the transfer between different regions and cities according to local conditions, and deepening the NIRDZ policy implementation. Policymakers should also increase investment in the construction of an informatization platform, plan resource usage rationally, promote regional integration development, change the philosophy of education, and recognize how the NIRDZ policy influences urban innovation through economic development and informatization.

The Policy Evolution Characteristics of Regional Integration Development in the Yangtze River Delta: A Quantitative Analysis Based on Policy Texts from 2003 to 2022

The systematic analysis of policy texts on promoting regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta region is of great significance for promoting higher-quality development of this Chinese region. By collecting 803 policy texts from 2003 to 2022 and using policy text and social network analysis methods, we statically reveal the evolution patterns of integration policies in the Yangtze River Delta under different dimensions. According to our research, the types of policies for integration in the Yangtze River Delta are diverse and flexible, with agreement policies being the main focus; the number of annual policy releases shows a trajectory of first fluctuating and then stabilizing growth; policy makers are mainly based on multi-department joint formulation across departments, levels, and administrative regions, supplemented by individual provinces and cities under the guidance of the central government; the integration coverage rate is gradually increasing, but there are differences in the level of emphasis within the field and among provinces and cities; and there is an imbalance in the use of both policy tools as a whole and sub-tools. Based on this, while prioritizing the integrated development of ecology, technology, economy, and other fields, while also promoting comprehensive integration in education, law, information, food safety, and other fields; policy makers should appropriately increase the use of contractual economic tools, maintain the current use trend of structural forcing tools, and enhance the stability of the use of interactive impact tools to ensure the balance and effectiveness of the use of policy tools.

Extra-Regional Influence on the Development of Economic Integration in the ASEAN Region

This study discusses the extra-regional influence and scenarios for the development of regional integration of the countries of the Association of States Southeast Asia (ASEAN), in particular, the role of the future free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia in maintaining the effect of convergence in Southeast Asia (Southeast Asia) in the horizon of 2025.Aim. To Determine the main trends in the development of extra-regional influence and forecasts for regional economic convergence in ASEAN countries by 2025.Tasks. Determine the trends and perspective scenarios for the development of the integration of the countries of Southeast Asia.Methods. Both the descriptive method and the system analysis method are used. Also, this study uses the approaches of the Eurasian Development Bank to assess the disproportion in the level of development of the ASEAN countries (macroeconomic indicators; in the analysis of time series of GDP, GDP per capita for ASEAN countries, the Box-Jenkins methodology (ARIMA) is used. The key concept in this study is convergence. Convergence is seen as the process of approaching a certain level or decreasing the difference between two values over time [7]; real convergence contributes to the convergence of the economic level of countries within an integrated group (differences in the economic levels of development of countries hinder the process of integration). The effect of real economic convergence for ASEAN countries in the future 2025 can take on different meanings depending on the implementation of the initiatives proposed by non-regional actors (for example, Indo-Pacific Economic Structure and FTA between the EAEU and Indonesia).Results. The results of the study present four probability-ranked scenarios for the development of regional economic convergence in the ASEAN countries. It has been established that the most likely scenario is one in which the initiative of the EAEU and the Republic of Indonesia will take place, while the Indo-Pacific Economic Structure proposed by the United States will not be implemented by 2025. In this case, regional economic convergence in the ASEAN countries may take on the most favorable meaning.Conclusions. Along with the global trend, the expansion of economic integration through the creation of free trade zones with other integration associations, the development of economic integration in the region is influenced by the rivalry between the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America. Looking forward to the mid-second half of the 2020s. years as a result, the adoption of a free trade agreement between the EAEU countries and the Republic of Indonesia will have a positive impact on the increase in the pace of regional economic convergence in Southeast Asia.

The Impact of Transport Infrastructure Development in Africa on the Development of Regional Integration in Africa

This paper, combined with scholars' current discussions on the importance of regional integration for national economic development, this paper focuses on showing that poor transportation hinders the import and export trade and the introduction of integration-specific talents in Africa, and that high-quality transportation infrastructure can improve trade facilitation and promote cross-regional trade, investment and the formation of a unified market on the African continent. It shows that good transportation can facilitate the development of regional economic integration in Africa and is an enabler of regional economic integration.

The Spatiotemporal Variation Characteristics of Urban Sustainability Based on the SDGs in Yangtze River Delta, China

At present, most developing countries need to improve the quality of the built environment by means of large-scale infrastructure construction, thereby promoting rapid urbanization. The quality of the built environment (QU) and its environmental pressure (PU) have become our primary focus to achieve a globally acknowledged vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this study, we proposed an overall workflow by combining the proven urban sustainability (SU) assessment tool with the evaluation process and the analysis of the spatiotemporal dimension to investigate the urban characteristics of the 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Our results showed an upward trend of urban sustainability from 2010 to 2018, but there are still 19 cities with unsustainable urbanization processes. The megalopolis is rapidly progressing toward an imbalanced state. Specifically, the urban sustainability of the southern region performs better than the northern region, coastal cities perform better than the inland cities, and the regional peripheral cities perform better than the inner cities. Across the 41 cities in the delta, five different relational trends between QU and PU have been found to predict their future development. The results of this research will help decision-makers to coordinate the future development of regional integration between cities and to target the alleviation of the adverse chain reaction brought about by the situation of imbalance or further improving urban sustainability.

Tax competition, spatial correlation and regional integration development——Evidence from the Yangtze River Delta

Integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) is an important national strategy to drive China's high-quality development. First, we discuss the influence mechanism of tax competition (TC) between local governments on regional integration (RI) and its subsystems. Second, the spatial integration technology was assessed the development level and spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of RI and TC levels in the YRD from 2009 to 2019. Finally, a spatial econometric model is constructed to explore the effect of spatial. The results show the following: (1) From the perspective of the theoretical mechanism, a benign TC promotes the development of RI, but an excessive TC will lead to local governments weakening their service functions. (2) From the perspective of development status, the level of RI in the YRD shows a gradual increasing trend. Spatially, the RI shows a fan-shaped radiative distribution, while the TC shows a staggered agglomeration distribution. (3) The spatial impact of TC on the overall RI and its subsystems is negative, but the spatial impact on the public service subsystem is positive. And node cities have driving effects, while other cities have certain inhibitory effects; The impact of TC on RI varies depending on the economic density of cities.

Co-evolution of regional integration and green innovation under two-layer network

With global low-carbon development, green innovation has becoming a key factor for countries to obtain and maintain core competitive advantages. However, the division of scientific research resources often fails to meet the requirements of economic development. Therefore, regional integration cooperation has become an inevitable choice for innovation and development. However, the effect of the impact, direction, and interaction of regional integration policies on green innovation decision-making remains uncertain. To study the synergistic development mechanism between the two, this study constructs a two-layer network model that includes the decision and influence layers and uses a graph neural network model to map the relationship between the two-layer networks. With the help of opinion dynamics model and public goods game model, we draw the following conclusions. (1) Limited communication between regions can encourage all parties to adopt active green innovation strategies. However, excessive communication can lead to disunity of opinions among all parties, which may not be conducive to green innovation and result in an increase in free-rider behavior. (2) Regional integration development can effectively prompt all parties to choose active green innovation strategies. (3) Increasing the breadth of regional integration cooperation is more effective in promoting the active participation of all parties in green innovation, compared to increasing the depth of regional integration cooperation. This study provides theoretical support for decision-making in regional integration and green innovation development.

Hub seaport multimodal freight transport network design: Perspective of regional integration development

To design the multimodal freight transport network of regional hub seaports, and promote the high-quality development of regional economic integration. Combined with the principal component analysis method, the comprehensive evaluation value of the inland cities is determined. Meanwhile, the gravity model is used to obtain the correlation degree between non-core cities and core cities, and the hinterlands of these core cities are divided. The entropy weight TOPSIS model is applied to select the inland hinterland transshipment cities. Taking the minimum total transport costs as the objective function, the regional hub seaport multimodal freight transport network optimization model with space-time constraints is established, and solved by MATLAB software. Taking the freight transport from Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone to Yangtze River Delta as an example, a multimodal freight transport network is constructed. It is calculated that Chengdu and Chongqing can be set as freight consolidation centers, and Changsha, Wuhan, Nanchang, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Zhengzhou and Xi'an can be set as transshipment nodes. These non-core cities in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone can be divided into five groups to achieve effective improvement in transport efficiency through group combined transport. This study gives managerial implications for multimodal transport structure optimization and provides reference for the regional integration development between seaports and hinterlands.

Evaluation of capability maturity of digital transformation of manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta based on SDAF model

Abstract Based on the background of high quality development of manufacturing enterprises, this article analyzes the significant impact of digital economy on manufacturing industry, and explores the construction of digital maturity evaluation system in line with the current development status of manufacturing industry. The capability maturity evaluation of digital transformation of manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta based on service-oriented distributed application framework is proposed. By determining the construction ideas and principles of the evaluation index system of manufacturing digitization maturity, this article studies the evaluation index system of manufacturing digitization from four first-level indexes including digitization strategy, digitization infrastructure, digitization operation and digitization performance, ten second-level indexes including digitization emphasis, and 27 third-level indexes including the level setting of digitization management positions, and it proposed to carry out the digital maturity evaluation of manufacturing enterprises. This article conducts a survey on 183 manufacturing industries in the Yangtze River Delta region, analyzes the current situation of enterprises’ digital transformation, and explores the influence mechanism of enterprises’ digital level on regional integration development. The results show that most of the manufacturing enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta have strong desire to transform but still face many difficulties. Enterprises’ emphasis on digital transformation and application ability of digital technology significantly affect the development of regional integration.

A Comparative Analysis of Spillover Effects on Surrounding Cities of Beijing And Shanghai

Industrial linkage is the key channel for spillover effect, and improving the spillover effect of central cities is an important task to realize the coordinated development of regional economy. From the perspective of industrial linkages, this paper uses the 2017 China's Inter-city input-output table to build a three regional input-output model to compared with the two-way overflow between Beijing and surrounding cities and the two-way overflow between Shanghai and its surrounding cities. The research findings are as follows: 1. Central cities and cities with higher economic development level have higher two-way spillovers, and the two-way spillover effect between Beijing and surrounding cities is smaller than that between Shanghai and surrounding cities; 2. There is an imbalance between central cities and surrounding cities in value-added gains. Beijing Tianjin Hebei and Yangtze River Delta present different situations. The share of spillover effects in GDP of surrounding cities to Beijing is generally small, and Beijing's value-added spillover to surrounding cities is greater than that of surrounding cities to Beijing. The share of spillover effects in GDP of surrounding cities to Shanghahi is generally high, and most of the surrounding cities' value-added spillovers to Shanghai are greater than Shanghai's value-added spillovers to the surrounding cities. 3. In terms of industry, Beijing and Shanghai have the largest added value spillover in the tertiary sector, followed by the secondary industry, and the value-added spillover of the primary industry is the smallest; From the perspective of 42 industry sectors, Beijing and Shanghai are relatively consistent in industries with large spillover effects on surrounding cities, which are the dominant industries of Beijing and Shanghai, and are concentrated in the secondary and tertiary industries. 4. Compare the value-added spillover effect of Shanghai and Beijing on urban agglomeration as a whole. The per capita spillover effect of Beijing on Beijing Tianjin Hebei is smaller than that of Shanghai on the Yangtze River Delta. Finally, according to the research conclusions, starting from the regional industrial advantages, it provides relevant policy recommendations for regional development and promoting the high-quality development of regional integration.

Spatial-temporal evolution and convergence analysis of agricultural green total factor productivity-evidence from the Yangtze River Delta Region of China.

Measuring regional differences in agricultural green total factor productivity (AGTFP) provides a basis for policy guidance on agricultural green development in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region. By constructing a two-period Malmquist-Luenberger index under the carbon emission constraint, we measure the AGTFP of cities in the YRD region from 2001 to 2019. Furthermore, adopting the Moran index method and the hot spot analysis method, this paper analyzes the global spatial correlation and local spatial correlation of AGTFP in this region. Moreover, we investigate its spatial convergence. The results show that the AGTFP of 41 cities in the YRD region is on an increasing trend; the growth of AGTFP in the eastern cities is mainly driven by green technical efficiency, while this growth in the southern cities is mainly stimulated by green technical efficiency and green technological progress. We also find a significant spatial correlation between cities' AGTFP in the YRD region from 2001 to 2019, but with certain fluctuations, showing a U-shaped trend of "strong-weak-strong". In addition, absolute β convergence of the AGTFP exists in the YRD region, and this convergence speed is accelerated with the addition of spatial factors. This evidence provides support for implementing the regional integration development strategy and optimizing the regional agricultural spatial layout. Our findings offer implications for promoting the transfer of green agricultural technology to the southwest of the YRD region, strengthening the construction of agricultural economic belts and agricultural economic circles, and improving the efficiency of agricultural resource use.

Regional Integration and Sustainable Development in the Yangtze River Delta, China: Towards a Conceptual Framework and Research Agenda

Understanding the interactions between the human sphere and the natural sphere in key places and regions of the world is crucial for promoting sustainability science and achieving sustainable development. As one of the emerging global city-regions in China and the Global South, the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) plays an increasingly nonnegligible role in the globalized economy and telecoupling social-ecological systems (SESs). Considering the well-known importance and representativeness, the YRD has been regarded as an appropriate experimental site of integrated research on geographical and sustainability science at the subnational scale. This paper tries to establish theoretical and practical linkages between regional integration and sustainable development at the subnational scale based on the sustainable development goals (SDGs), the Chinese contexts, and a literature review of relevant researches. We argue that future research should pay more attention to the interdisciplinary, transregional, and multi-scale attributes of issues related to regional integrated and sustainable development in the YRD. The following research agendas, such as linking SDGs to regional integrative development, analyzing the sustainability of regional SESs, assessing the integrated region at the subnational scale, investigating the YRD at different geographical scales, exploring applicable governance structures and institutions, as well as applying multi-source data and interdisciplinary methodologies, call for more scholarly attention. We hope that this paper could be an initial motion to expand and enrich relevant research.

Research on the Coordinated Development of Innovation Ability and Regional Integration in Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area

This paper selects the panel data of 11 cities in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GHMA) from 2010 to 2020, calculates the Malmquist index of urban agglomerations to measure regional innovation, constructs the evaluation system of regional integration and measures the integration index. This paper conducts qualitative analysis and empirical research on the synergistic interaction between regional innovation and regional integration and examines the synergistic development between innovation capability and integrated development from theory and experience. The results show that from 2010 to 2020, the overall level of integration in the GHMA shows a rising trend, and the level of integration between regions has shown a narrowing trend since 2016. Regional innovation capacity is on the rise, and there is a clear gap between regions. Regional innovation ability has a positive impact on regional integration, which decreases first and then increases. Regional integration development has always played a strong role in promoting regional innovation. Accordingly, the regional integration process of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao should be further promoted, and regional innovation should be improved through the regional integration process.

Structure of Polycentric Circles Based on the Urban Radiation Pattern: A Case Study in the Yangtze River Delta Region, China

The metropolitan area is the inevitable trend of urbanization towards an advanced form. The pattern of urban radiation is the key to building a metro area and promoting high-quality regional development. In order to effectively promote the rationalization of metropolitan areas and regional integration development, this paper takes the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region as an example, calculates the intensity of city centrality (ICC) based on the statistical data, and explores the radiation pattern and spatial relationship of cities at different levels by using methods such as the extended breaking point model and the hierarchical Voronoi diagram. The research results show that: (1) The ICC in the YRD shows a spatial pattern of “high in the east and low in the west, high in the middle and low in the north and south”. (2) The ICC value of “strong-strong” adjacent cities shows the tendency of the radiation range to shrink and that the radiation direction is perpendicular to both sides. The “strong-weak” adjacent cities’ radiation range and direction show an expansion–contraction trend. The radiation range and direction of “weak-weak” adjacent cities exhibit disorder. (3) Because the ICC is hierarchical, urban radiation is a polycentric, nested circle structure. Shanghai is the first-level center, and Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Hefei, and Xuzhou are the second-level centers. (4) The sequence of the spatial morphological complexity and stability in each circle, from complex to simple, is the Hangzhou circle, the Shanghai circle, the Xuzhou circle, the Hefei circle, and the Nanjing circle. The spatial morphological characteristics of the Ningbo circle do not meet the morphological dimension conditions. The study of the polycentric circle structure is of practical significance for the enhancement of the radiation driving effect of the central city and the expansion and improvement of the metropolitan area.

Standard Radiation: A New Perspective Leading the Coordinated Development of Urban Agglomerations

With the increased communication among cities, coordinated development between regions has become a common trend. An urban agglomeration is a special spatial structure unit, which becomes an important driving force for the coordinated development of the region through the radiation effect generated by the central city. The existing studies on regional integration have focused more on the economic, financial, and technological innovation radiation effects. However, as an essential tool for economic development, technological progress, and social governance, the standard plays an irreplaceable role in promoting regional integration and enhancing the coordinated development of urban agglomerations due to its ability to consensus and cooperation sharing. Therefore, based on the theories of growth pole, radiation effect, and city field, this paper first puts forward the concept of the standard radiation effect and argues that the standardization level of the central city can lead and drive the development of the urban agglomerations through the method of theoretical elaboration. Secondly, we explain the mechanism of the standard radiation effect in promoting the coordinated development of urban agglomerations under the interaction of multi-dimensional proximity. Finally, taking the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in China as typical cases, this research explores and summarizes three different models of the standard radiation effect, which are dominated by institutional proximity, economical proximity, and geographical proximity, respectively. The results of the study show that the standard radiation has a regional leading role. Furthermore, the effect of the central city in different urban agglomerations is dominated by different proximity, and there are different models and paths. Thus, in the process of regional industrial collaboration, it is necessary to focus on the standard cooperation among cities, and according to the characteristics of different urban agglomerations, make the most effective use of advantageous proximity to promote the development of regional integration. The conclusion can enrich the relevant studies on the agglomeration and radiation effects, give theoretical explanations on how the standard radiation effect of the central city leads to regional development, and provide new thinking perspectives and practical references on the way to achieve coordinated development of urban agglomerations.

Integrated development of territories as an instrument of sustainable urban transformation

The article discusses the concept related to the integrated development of territories (IDT), specific features of its legal regulation, and its socio-economic and environmental aspects. It considered as an effective instrument of sustainable urban transformation, as it gives opportunities for the rational and efficient use of all types of resources within the territory and for the potential targeted planning of urban areas with a geographically-oriented approach to cities in directions that correspond to the patterns of sustainable spatial development. An experience of engaging different stakeholders partnership in integrated urban development was studied and recommendations for its adaptation to Russian cities were given. The presented analysis of IDT as a long-term instrument of sustainable urban transformation confirms the relevance of developing a methodology for monitoring, analysing, and forecasting the influence of this factor on regional social and economic development as an interdisciplinary research direction. As a practical application authors have made an analysis of the practical implementing IDT project in the Slavyanka residential area in St-Petersburg, presented development of resources in the expert community on this issue and proposed their own approach, according to which the IDT mechanism should be applied to urban areas. Such research would have a practical value for the purposes of making adjustments to regional integrated development of territories programmes and developing new IDT projects in other residential areas.

Evaluation of the Effect of Regional Integration on Economic Growth—— Empirical Study on Beijing Tianjin Hebei Economic Circle Based on Synthetic Control Method

Under the dual background of the new normal of China's economic growth slowdown and the high attention paid to the coordinated development of regional economy, whether the regional integrated development policy can promote the common growth of regional economy is worth in-depth discussion. This paper collects the panel data of 27 provinces (autonomous regions) and 19 sub provincial cities in China from 2010 to 2018, and uses the synthetic control method to conduct an empirical study on the economic effect of Beijing Tianjin Hebei integrated coordinated development plan. The results show that: the impact effect of Beijing Tianjin Hebei integration coordinated development planning has obvious heterogeneity: It has a positive effect on the economic growth of Beijing; It has a negative effect on the economic growth of Hebei Province. The economic growth of Tianjin is positive in the short term and negative in the long term. Research on the Connotation and Evaluation System of the Regional Transportation Integration Development

As a basic, strategic and leading industry, transportation is not only an important content of regional integration development, but also a key support for realizing regional integration development. On the basis of clarifying the connotation of integration and the characteristics of transportation integration, analyzing the evaluation index system and calculation method for the development of regional transportation integration, and taking the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and Southern Sichuan Economic Zone in Sichuan Province as examples to verify the evaluation index system and calculation method. The advantages and disadvantages of transportation integration development are analyzed, and the direction and path for the next integrated transportation development are pointed out.
