DEVELOPMENT OF PRIVATE ENTERPRISES OF VIETNAM IN CURRENT CONTEXT

<p>With the efforts of businesses themselves and the government's supportive policies, in recent times, the private business force in our country has clearly demonstrated its dynamism, creativity and role as an essential catalyst for economic growth, creating jobs, improving people's life quality, etc. However, reality shows that this type of economy still has many limitations, difficulties and challenges. Research on Financial Resources and Private Enterprises in the Eastern Region

The realisation of high-quality development is largely dependent on private enterprises, which are a driving force behind China's comprehensive revitalisation in the new era. Meanwhile, efficient financial resource allocation can enhance capital use efficiency and encourage the reorganization of the industrial structure. The financial sector allocates financial resources in a fair and efficient manner to promote economic growth and enhance the environment for that growth. A "Matthew effect" shows up in the relationship between financial resources and private enterprises in China's eastern coastal region, where large state-owned enterprises and small and medium-sized private enterprises are impacted by the emergence of talent, capital, technology, and other unbalanced phenomena. The article demonstrates this relationship between financial resources and private enterprises, based on almost a decade of empirical research in the city panel data. Banks, securities, insurance, and other industries are deployed reasonably to facilitate the development of the social economy during the period when more financial resources flow to private enterprises, as well as to ensure the stability and advancement of society. This is done in order to further enhance the efficiency of financial resource allocation in the eastern coastal region and promote the efficient development of private enterprises.

Environmental function of business: content and role in modern economy

The environmental aspect of business activities is considered in the vast majority of cases as an element of corporate social responsibility or as part of the social function of enterprises. Within the framework of this study, the goal was set to justify the feasibility of identifying the actual environmental function of business and to reveal its role and content. Such a step will allow, if necessary, to analyze it in isolation from the general social vector of development of private enterprises based on a separate concept. To achieve the goal, four tasks were consistently solved. Firstly, the essence and importance of the “green” transition within national economies is revealed. Secondly, evidence is provided of the priority of the process of greening business structures in comparison with other vectors of growth of the Russian “green” economy. Thirdly, the main provisions of the theory of environmentally oriented business are formulated on the basis of the concept of corporate social responsibility. Fourthly, the concept and components of the “green” function of business at the present stage are revealed.

Can private enterprises improve their investment efficiency by participating in the mixed-ownership reform of state-owned enterprises? Evidence from China

ABSTRACT Optimizing investment structure and improving investment efficiency are vital for the development of private enterprises. Using data on China’s A-share private listed companies between 2003 and 2020, we empirically test the impact of participating in the mixed-ownership reform of state-owned enterprises on private enterprises’ investment efficiency. We find that such participation improves private enterprises’ investment efficiency. Mechanism analysis reveals that reducing information asymmetry and easing financing constraints are the main channels for this improvement, showing an ‘information effect’ and a ‘resource effect’. This article provides empirical evidence from Chinese listed companies for the relationship between the mixed-ownership reform of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises’ investment efficiency.

Low-carbon governance, fiscal decentralization, and enterprise green development: Evidence from China.

Simultaneously achieving economic development and environmental protection is a shared global challenge. While the positive effect of environmental regulations on protecting the environment has been widely recognized, the attention paid to low-carbon governance and corporate green transformation remains insufficient. Based on the two-stage least square regression model (2SLS) of instrumental variables, this paper utilizes panel data from China to identify the influence mechanism of government low-carbon governance on enterprise green development. It explores the effect of low-carbon governance on enterprise green development from the perspective of fiscal decentralization. The findings show that (1) Low-carbon governance significantly promotes corporate green development, primarily through improving industrial structure and technological innovation; (2) Low-carbon governance notably promotes the green development of private enterprises but has little effect on state-owned enterprises. There are also geographical differences, and the results are better in Eastern China than in the Central and Western parts of China; (3) Fiscal decentralization at both central and local levels inhibits the effect of low-carbon governance on driving corporate green development by causing a mismatch of human resources. Therefore, to promote corporate green development, low-carbon governance must prioritize green development, actively guide industrial structural upgrading and enterprise technological innovation, implement differentiated low-carbon governance measures tailored to different ownership enterprises, and optimize the assessment indicators for fiscal decentralization. This paper helps deepen the understanding of the relationship between government low-carbon governance and enterprise green development in developing countries. It can be used as a reference for government departments to formulate relevant policies.

A Brief Analysis of The Advantages of Free Trade Zone Construction to The Development of Private Enterprises

This paper mainly through literature research, case analysis and comparative analysis, taking Liaoning Free Trade Zone as an example, starting from the private enterprises in Liaoning Free Trade Zone, to study its development mode and impact. The research direction mainly includes starting from the private enterprises in Liaoning Free Trade Zone, studying their development mode and influence, and analyzing the comparative advantages of private enterprises to the economic development of Liaoning under the background of free trade zone. The framework of this paper is divided into four parts. First, it introduces the basic concepts and characteristics of free trade zone and private enterprises, then points out the limitations of the development of Liaoning Free Trade Zone, and then analyzes the promotion of economic growth by private enterprises in Liaoning through case analysis, and then analyzes the promotion role of private enterprises in Liaoning. In summary, this paper focuses on the study of private enterprises in Liaoning Free Trade Zone, discusses their development model and its impact on Liaoning's economic development, and provides a valuable reference for the study of this field.

Exploring the Path to High-Quality Development of Private Economy in the Context of the Digital Economy

With the rise of the digital economy, private enterprises, facing new opportunities and challenges, urgently need to explore the path to high-quality development. This paper delves into the current state of development of private enterprises in the digital economy environment, identifies issues such as the digital divide, financing difficulties, talent shortages, and policy environment, and proposes strategies including enhancing digital infrastructure, establishing a multi-level financing system, creating a talent reserve system, and formulating innovative policies. The aim of this paper is to provide strong guidance for the government, entrepreneurs, and the academic community, collectively promoting the high-quality development of the private economy in the context of the digital economy, towards a more prosperous economic future.

Impact of State-Owned Capital Participation on ESG Performance of Private Enterprises

As global investors and stakeholders increasingly prioritize environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, corporate social responsibility and sustainability have become crucial factors in determining corporate success. In the context of China’s robust economy, the involvement of state-owned capital exerts a profound impact on the ESG performance of private enterprises. This paper, starting from the perspective of ESG, analyzes how state-owned capital participation influences the ESG performance of private enterprises. Additionally, it proposes recommendations for the involvement of state-owned enterprises in private enterprises, aiming to foster the sustainable development of private enterprises and enhance their social responsibility.

Transformation of the historical heritage and spatial perception of Ilūkste

The development plan of the Upper Daugava Region (2022-2027) identifies Ilūkste as a potentially strong development centre of regional importance. The plan is designed to improve the quality of roads of regional importance infrastructure development and tourism in the Ilūkste area. This document encourages the initiation of serious cultural landscape research for Ilūkste. The scale of the existing Daugavpils development, the visibility and proximity of the city do not weaken and create strong competition for Ilūkste, but on the contrary - strengthen the revival of Ilūkste as a historic centre alongside a large-scale settlement. That means that on opposite banks of the Daugava there are two different urban spaces with different cultural and historical layers and scales. The preservation of cultural heritage is increasingly being discussed in the forums of the European Union, highlighting the values that are being lost in warfare and in the wastefulness of national economic policies. The problem of heritage conservation is also present in areas where there is no war, but where mistakes have been made due to the ineptitude of the political authorities. This is also true of the Latvian Awakening in the 1990s, when, after the occupation, "business as usual" still continued. With the collapse of collectivisation and the development of private enterprise, no attention was paid to the concepts of landscape, viewpoints, silhouettes, landmarks, climaxes, etc. The smaller the scale of the cultural landscape, the deeper the cracks of neglect that are left in the cultural landscape. The small town of Ilūkste is one example in Latvia. The loss of the intrinsic spatiality of a historic small town risks transforming not only the perception of place and people at a local level, but also at a regional and national level, thereby changing the character and uniqueness of a nation's living space. Natural and man-made elements are constantly changing, seeking to adapt. Biological processes, economic and political power, generational change, rapid technological development can all influence the development of an area. As one changes, another is subjected to change, resulting in a complete or partial transformation. This is most evident in small towns, which have long been subject to political change and the outflow of the younger generation to the metropolises. Historical space is thus also surrounded by indifference and neglect. The current municipality of Ilūkste has energetically set to work to recover the historic identity of the settlement, conscious of both the revival of the former Jesuit church and convent and the dismantling or renovation of aesthetically poor-quality buildings.

Can Reverse Mixed-Ownership Reform Reduce the Cost of Equity Financing of Private Enterprises?

ABSTRACT How to leverage the advantages of state-owned capital to promote the high-quality development of private enterprises is a central issue of mixed-ownership reform. We empirically explore the effect of reverse mixed-ownership reform on the cost of equity financing for private enterprises and the underlying mechanism from two perspectives: equity structure and high-level governance using fixed-effect and IV regressions. We find that reverse mixed-ownership reform significantly reduces the cost of equity financing for private enterprises. The mediation effect tests suggest that the improvement of information disclosure quality and equity liquidity partially play intermediary roles in the relation between the reform and the equity financing cost. Heterogeneity tests suggest that cost of equity financing for private enterprises are significantly reduced for firms operating in highly competitive industry environment and firms located in regions with lower level of marketization. We contribute to the understanding of the economic consequences of reverse mixed-ownership reform and provide policy insights for further advancing the reform in private enterprises while effectively harnessing the advantages of state-owned capital.

How can the participation of private enterprises promote the high-quality development of state-owned mixed enterprises?

The participation of private capital in the mixed ownership reform of SOEs is an important measure to maintain and increase the value of state-owned assets. From the theoretical perspective of sharing economy, this paper uses Chinese data to study the impact of private enterprise participation on the high quality of state-owned mixed enterprises. This paper draws the following conclusions: (1) The participation of private enterprises can significantly improve the development quality of state-owned mixed enterprises, and this conclusion is also valid after dealing with the endogenous problem of the model. (2) The empirical results of profit-sharing heterogeneity show that when SOEs are willing to share their profits with private enterprises, private enterprises may show high vitality, which has a more obvious effect on improving the development quality of state-owned mixed enterprises. Therefore, in the process of reform, SOEs should be encouraged to transfer part of their profits to private enterprises, and at the same time, efforts should be made to create a good environment for the development of private enterprises, so that private entrepreneurs can fully stimulate their own entrepreneurial spirit.

The turnover Intention of the New Generation of Knowledge Workers in Guangxi Private Enterprises from the Perspective of Job Embedding

In recent years, the number of private enterprises in China has rapidly increased, and their proportion in the total number of Chinese enterprises is also increasing. Private enterprises play a very important role in China's economic development. With the increase of scale, private enterprises are increasingly attaching importance to employee management. The new generation of knowledge-based employees has become the main force of Chinese private enterprise employees, and the stability of the new generation of knowledge-based employees directly affects the sustainable development of the enterprise. However, the turnover rate of employees in private enterprises is high, especially for knowledge-based employees who leave frequently, which affects the development of private enterprises. The article takes private enterprises in Guangxi as an example and analyzes the influencing factors of the turnover intention of the new generation of knowledge-based employees in private enterprises from the perspective of job embeddedness, providing corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for human resource management in private enterprises.

The Influence of Social Media Patterns on the Development of Private Enterprises: Changing the Narrative of Youths in Ogoja Catholic Diocese, Cross River State, Nigeria

Social media platforms ranging from the elaborate Facebook to microblogging websites as Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Myspace, YouTube, and WhatsApp and others are examples of social media tools. Thus, this study examined the influence of the emerging social media patterns on the development of private enterprises in Ogoja Catholic Diocese, Cross River State. The literature specifically showed how social media tools have dominated the Catholic Diocese of Ogoja with increasing number of users, mostly youths. Two hundred (200) respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique; the data were analyzed and results presented in percentage frequency table counts. Among the findings, the study showed that social media patterns have contributed significantly to the innovation and creativity of youths. In addition, it also revealed that social media patterns have allowed entrepreneurs to communicate speedily and cheaply with customers and also constructed a database to generate business leads to increase sales, grow skills swiftly, adjust and increase their productivity without stress. Again, the study revealed that young people used social media patterns for questionable activities. Sequel to these findings, the study concluded that social media patterns have helped in the development and growth of entrepreneurship. Following this, the study recommended that parish priests should, first, allow these youths walk them through the places they go online, and who they communicate with as this would help in streamlining their activities in order to redirect them for entrepreneurship development. Again, youths should be assisted to choose the most appropriate social media tools to adopt because customers have become increasingly knowledgeable about what they need

Innovative Firm Performance Management Using a Recommendation System Based on Fuzzy Association Rules: The Case of Vietnam’s Apparel Small and Medium Enterprises

Purpose: This study aims to apply a classification algorithm based-on fuzzy association rules (FARs) to improve the effectiveness of firms' performance prediction problem. Particularly, this study investigates potential FARs exists between inputs and outputs of firms' performance management process. These extracted FARs could be used to help firm’s managers make better dicision to improve firm’s performance.
 
 Theoretical framework: Private enterprise development has been identified as key to Vietnam's economy that was commonly depended on state enterprise. For that, understanding and improving firms' performance and productivity is one of the most important tasks, from both macro and micro perspectives. There have been many studies on Vietnam's firm performance, but mostly relying on econometric methods that limit the understanding with structural equations. This study, instead, attempts to utilize new achievements of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for this task. Among AI techniques, fuzzy association rule is able to address the relationship between input factors and firm performance indicators. For each company, the finding FARs can be used to predict its performance and then change the business plan or react to improve weekness of organization.
 
 Design/Methodology/Approach: The proposal model is applied on data of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the apparel industry in Vietnam in the period 2010-2015. The sample consist of a total of 23637 observation of Vietnam firms in apparel and textile industry and contains 16 main criterias for those firms.
 
 Finding: A recommendation system (RS) is constructed from disclosed FARs and is a key factor in a novel innovative firms' performance management process. The percentage of classified instances using the mining FARs is not quite high (about 82%), but it is not always the case. Vietnam’s apparel dataset includes rare classes of ROA, therefore applying only frequent FARs is not enough. This issue can be fixed by using both frequent and infrequent FARs. 
 
 Research, practical & social implications: The proposed model has a great opportunity to use not only in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the apparel industry but other industrial sectors. FARs support the well-understand of firm performance to firm’s manager and help them better to react. Besides, FARs could be used to create RSs that makes alerts about risk automatically.
 
 Originality/Value: The fact, our current study is the first to inspect the ability of FARs on SMEs of the apparel industry in Vietnam. This study provides theoritical potential knowledge and empirical evidence in the application of FARs technology in innovative firm’s management.

Research on the Internationalization Strategy of Chinese Private Enterprises: Taking Huawei as an Example

In the context of global technological revolution and rapid development of global economic integration, the private enterprises in our country face more challenges. In the new era, China's economy has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development; this puts forward higher requirements for the development of private enterprises in China. Facing new challenges and requirements, it is an important way to improve the international competitiveness of China's private enterprises to do a good job in the internationalization strategy. Therefore, this paper analyzes the current situation and development motivation of the internationalization of private enterprises in China, and finds the problems in the development of the emerging stage. Taking the internationalization of Huawei Group as a case, this paper analyzes the survival of the fittest in the development of Huawei Group's internationalization, and deeply analyzes the successful experience and lessons of Huawei Group's internationalization strategy. Combined with the national conditions of our country, this paper puts forward the enlightenment for the internationalization development of private enterprises in our country.

The moderating effect of clean technology innovation in the process of environmental regulation affecting employment: Panel data analysis based on 22 industrial sectors in China

BackgroundChina facing the challenge of coordinated development of “ecology, economy, and well-being”. Scholars have conducted some research on the relationship between enviromental regulation and employment, but there is less research on the role of clean technology innovation in the employment effect of environmental regulation, which is the purpose of this paper. MethodsUsing the panel data of 22 industrial sectors in China, the paper uses the number of clean technology patents to measure the level of clean technology innovation, and examines the moderating effect of clean technology innovation in the employment effect of environmental regulations. ResultsThe results show that: (1) With the gradual improvement of environmental regulation, the impact of environmental regulation on employment presents the characteristics of inhibition first and then promotion. (2) Clean technology innovation has a moderating effect on the employment effect of environmental regulation. DiscussionIt should encourage the green upgrading of traditional technologies, support the development and optimization of private enterprises in various industries, so as to promote enterprises to effectively reduce pollution emissions and create jobs through green technology upgrading at the initial stage.

This article examines the research work of foreign and domestic scientists dealing with the development of small businesses and private entrepreneurship in the Republic of Uzbekistan and increasing the export potential. An econometric analysis of the factors influencing the increase in the export potential of small businesses and private entrepreneurship has been carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, the dynamics of growth of the development of small businesses and private enterprises and the volume of exports of goods and services produced in them for 2001-2022 and forecast indicators for 2023-2025 were developed.

High-Speed Internet, Financial Technology, and Banking

Exploiting the staggered arrival of fiber-optic submarine cables, we show that high-speed internet promotes the role of banks and credit in Africa. Variation within country and across multicountry bank networks indicates that high-speed internet induced a 22% expansion in credit supply. We investigate the role of plummeting telecommunication costs in promoting the bank adoption of new financial technologies and study a specific technology used in the interbank market, the real-time gross settlement system (RTGS). We find that upon connecting to high-speed internet, banks adopt the RTGS more extensively, reduce inside liquidity, and increase interbank transactions and lending. We also observe that high-speed internet particularly strengthens firms in countries with weak preexisting interbank markets. This paper was accepted by David Sraer, finance.
