Research on Unmanned Surveillance Equipment System in the Context of Urban Anti-terrorism

This article provides a comprehensive analysis and discussion on the demand, development status, existing problems, research strategies, and recommendations for ground unmanned equipment and unmanned reconnaissance equipment in urban environments. The study found that this equipment plays an important role in improving combat effectiveness, ensuring personnel safety, and reducing costs, but there are still some challenges in technology, safety, and law. The article proposes strategies and recommendations to strengthen technological research and innovation, enhance safety management and supervision, establish a sound legal system, reduce production costs, and strengthen talent cultivation and introduction to promote the healthy development of these equipment. It is hoped that this article can provide reference and inspiration for researchers and decision-makers in related fields and promote equipment modernization and national security development.

The Situation of National Security Studies

The author provides an overview of the national security and intelligence studies of some international organisations and some countries. The main focus of the article is on the development of national security and intelligence education in the European Union (EU), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and China, Romania, Russia, the United State of America (USA), the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia.

STUDENT DEMONSTRATION IN NATIONAL SECURITY PERSPECTIVES (CASE STUDY OF STUDENT DEMONSTRATION BY BADAN EKSEKUTIF MAHASISWA SELURUH INDONESIA OR BEM SI ON APRIL 11, 2022)

<div><p class="Els-history-head">National security is a battle against threats from both within and outside the country. It is the same with the recent demonstration by Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Seluruh Indonesia (BEM SI) or Student Executive Board throughout Indonesia. The demonstration can be both an opportunity and a challenge in the development of national security. This study will provide insight into how the BEM SI demonstration on April 11, 2022, which is expected to bring demands on the issue of postponing the 2024 election and a three-term term for President Jokowi, will affect national security. This study employs descriptive quantitative research, with data collected by a survey of 200 students throughout Indonesia. The findings of this study indicate that the BEM SI demonstration was on April 11, 2022. Social media plays a role in influencing student behavior to take action. As a result, students should evaluate demonstration practices and reclaim their role as agents of change. </p></div>

The Legal Aspect of GPS Technology as Means of Safeguarding National Security

The whole world is faced with different kind of insecurity challenges. To tackle the current insecurity and safeguarding the national security of a particular nation, there is the need to make effective use of GPS technology. For Nigeria to tackle the current insecurity problems, GPS technology must be fully utilized in tackling and destroying different types of security threat bedeviling the nation, ranging from the Boko Haram terrorist, the economic terrorist in the Niger Delta, kidnappers, Armed Robbers and the herdsmen and other criminal gangs around the country. The focal point of this paper is to examine the legal aspect of GPS technology on the development of national security. The paper will recommend possible ways of improvement.

Managing sustainability of national security: Implications for Ukraine

The article studies the interrelated categories of national security and sustainable development, which are currently the object of special attention of government institutions, civil society, political parties, territorial communities, etc. The purpose of the study is to specify the topical issues associated with sustainable development of the national security, building on the international experience in this area, and to determine the locally adaptable ways of ensuring sustainability of the national security of Ukraine. The process of sustainable development of national security is to be more effective when there is a clear idea of its structural and functional elements, direct and indirect ties among them. The synergy of national security with the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals is able to ensure comprehensive modernization in accordance with today’s requirements and strengthen the level of welfare and security of citizens. The integrated level of national security of Ukraine correlates with the goals of sustainable development. The country’s stability and its resistance to national security threats is a necessary condition for implementing a purposeful sustainable development strategy for 2030. Successful implementation of sustainability tasks for Ukraine is possible provided there exist unity and capacity of state power and society.

FAKES, GOSSIP AND RUMORS AS A MEANS OF SOCIAL MISINFORMATION AND WEAKENING OF THE SAFETY COMPONENTS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE

The purpose. The article is devoted to solving the problem of spreading gossip, rumor and fake as one of the tools of instilling the premonitions of a great anti-Ukrainian conspiracy in a hybrid war. Method. To solve this scientific problem the following methods were applied: the structural method; the method of comparative analysis of empirical data; the method of abstract-logical generalization. Results. Based on the analysis of literary sources and the existing experience of security work, problems with their prevention have been identified. The directions of strengthening and the development of national security in the conditions of social misinformation have been determined. Scientific novelty. The ways of increasing the effectiveness of security measures and preventing the negative influence of misinformation through the state ideological and educational and innovation-management factors have been proposed. Practical significance. The main provisions of the scientific article will provide an opportunity due to these factors, to ensure peace in society and the stable functioning of the national economy of Ukraine, which, in fact, can make them competitive in the conditions of the EU, since the research was carried out in the transformational post-totalitarian society.

Considering current political events in Ukraine, the issue of political patriotism of the younger generation is becoming increasingly relevant. Political patriotism should become the basis for the development of national security in the state. In scientific discourse researchers often equate the concept of the “political patriotism” and “civic patriotism”. This study proves the difference between these concepts and the fact that civic patriotism can be a part of the political one. Young people can become both subject and object of political patriotism. In the first case, the youth acts as the bearer of active and passive suffrage, has the opportunity to promote the economic development of the state, to protect its borders and state sovereignty, to promote scientific and technological development. In the second case, young people are the object of national-patriotic education, which should become the basis for the development of their political culture and consciousness. The main tasks of the research are the next: to define concepts of “political patriotism”, “civic patriotism”, “ethnic patriotism”; to consider peculiarities of formation of political patriotism of young people and factors of youth activity; to find out possible consequences of manifesting of political patriotism of youth in the context of national security of the state. The study found that as young people cover the ages of 14 to 35 years, it is appropriate to consider two subgroups of young people: the first is up to 18 years and can only have partial legal capacity, the second is elder than 18 years and has full legal capacity. The first subgroup is considered as the object of national-patriotic education, and the second subgroup is regarded as an active carrier of political patriotism. For both categories of young people, the formation of a sense of political patriotism must be of a complex strategic character and serve as a fundamental aspect of the development of civil society in a country on the one hand and as a source of national security for the state on the other. At the same time, political patriotism is the young person’s awareness of his/her real ability to actively participate in the political process, to defend homeland, to develop his/her territorial community. So the main task of the state is to promote the formation of a patriotically-minded citizen who is confident in his or her social security and selfrealization in his/her own country and community.

The role of intellectual capital and culture in the development of national security

Nowadays, many economic crisis, finance and communication in the XXI century, people are migrating all over the world. The national culture has an important role in the formation of national security and is the driving force behind the growth of national security and socio-economic development. The purpose of this article is to expose the issue of culture, which can be a substitute for military force. In the first part of the article presents issues of intellectual capital at the beginning of the 21st century in the second part of the article describes the importance of culture in the development of national security.

The policy of import substitution as the basis for economic security and well-being of society

The study presents the analysis of import substitution opportunities on separate branches of economic activity, preceding the realization of import substitution policy with the aim to support national economic security, which is essential for the contemporary society welfare insurance. Currently, social well-being is considered to be the reflection of economic activity, the instrument of state influence on the society, as well as an indicator of the social security system. Due to the fact that Russia is integrated into the world economy, the foreign-economic policy currently is playing an important role in the development of national security and the state's interest to the spheres of economy considering external and internal threats. Decline in external economic conditions may result in serious consequences for the functioning and development of the country as well as for the trade and investment activities, which will further lead to the decline in export, withdrawal of capital, recession of industrial production, trade and investment sphere, fall of GDP and living standards. Thus, considering the current state of instability in the world economy and the growing political tension in relation to Russian Federation, the measures to increase economic security in the country should be taken. The policy of import substitution is considered to be one of the major solutions nowadays.

Research of resistant plasticity in national security mechanism

Role and resistant properties importance of socio-economic system in the mechanism of national security was justified in the article. Systemic, synergetic, complex, evolutionary and scientific approaches were used to reach the goal and solve the problem. The phenomenon of resistance was revealed by the author as «genetic» property of the system, as a continuous function of it, as a mechanism to secure development. Dialectical relationship between self-sufficiency-resistant securities of socioeconomic system was highlighted in the paper. In addition, the author emphasizes importance of the resistant plasticity determining. Definition of the term is proposed, potential of plasticity of resistant individual components of the socio-economic system is characterized in the article. High level of resistant plasticity of transportation and communication systems is noted in particular. Instrumental quality of transport and communication system in self-preservation from the damaging effects of instability and ensuring national security development is substantiated. Conducted systematic and comprehensive research will lead to the complete understanding of national strategy future development.

Choosing Peace and Order: National Security and Sovereignty in a North American Borderland, 1837–42

This article considers the international ramifications of the Canadian Rebellions of 1837, in particular their impact on US politics and policy-making as well as on the state of the international border. The Rebellions and the ensuing border raids led to the deployment of US and British forces in the borderlands, not in pursuit of war but in the interest of peace. Ignoring popular agitation in the Canadian colonies and in border states, the British and US governments expressed their commitment to peace and recognised that continued friendly relations required further assertion of central state authority on both sides of the boundary line. Thus, the events of 1837–42 mark an important advance in the development of national security and national sovereignty in North America. This paper expands upon purely national depictions of the Canadian Rebellions and integrates international developments by utilising a borderlands approach and traditional diplomatic history.

HISTORIOGRAPHY, SOURCES AND METHODOLOGY OF STATE POLICY STUDYING IN THE SPHERE OF PROVIDING NATIONAL SECURITY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article presents detailed review of works and opinions of different researchers on the problem of studying the state policy of the Russian Federation in the sphere of national security. Historical publications, works of classical scholars, publicists, politicians and public figures have been analyzed. The methology of studying the establishment and development of national security in the Russian Federation has been considered.

Security culture as a social resource of national security

This paper presents security culture as a social resource and a factor in the development of the national security, involving two important processes: first, as a transfer of national culture into security culture, and second, as a transfer of national security into security culture. To develop this postulate, we have started from a national framework of security and security culture, and considered in what ways and including what factors, actors or institutions, the security culture should contribute to the development and maintenance of national security. There are many factors that affect the stability and development of national security. In addition to military, economic, political and technological factors arising from the empowerment and stability of democratic processes and the level of institutional development and efficiency, very important are also those that originate from the sphere of culture, national culture, and then security culture as well. Security culture that resulted from the national culture by strengthening and empowerment of the national identity in particular, through the strengthening of the national will, the citizens' patriotic awareness and readiness to defend the vital national values, is focused also to achieving permanent national objectives, primarily relying on its own resources and assets in all areas of social development. The focus of the paper is on the role and importance of the social elite and the national education system, when it comes to the transfer of the national culture to the security culture, and the role of government and social institutions, when it comes to the transfer of national security to security culture.

Security culture as a factor of environmental protection

This paper analyzes the impact of security culture on understanding and certainty of environmental protection. Showing the environment and in particular scheme and methods of endangering takes place in the context of security culture as a factor in conservation and needs of the people to ensure their safety, which occurs as a vital interest. In this way, security culture is shown through the role of person, society and the international community. Analyzing the concept of security culture and its relation with respect to the protection of personal and national security in environmental pointed to changes in the environment in the modern age. The environment is due to the lack of security culture neglects or leaves last for resolving, all because of the race for economic profit when neglecting the cultural, social, health and other profits. This paper describes the security culture as a factor in the development of national security in a way that national security is reflecting through the security culture. Security culture is viewed in the light of regional and global processes of environmental degradation as well as the possibility that the security culture theoretically and practically developed in relation to these processes.
