Introduction: A statement of being in good health is one of the prerequisites as a lecturer or employee at Kusuma Husada University, in which an employee must be declared in good health to prove that an employee is healthy and ready to work, without any serious unhealthy obstacles. Health checks by computerized epidemiology screening test will speed up the process and assist the doctor The development of health applications using the epidemiological screening test method for lecturers and Studends, at the Kusuma Husada University Health Clinic Indonesia Health screening tests quick and efficient in accordance with existing data, and give the result of employee health data directly. The purpose of this study is to make it easier to detect the health status of Kusuma Husada University lecturers and Studends, which is used for one of the prerequisites for a work contract with a health application using an epidemiological screening test method. Methods: Data collection was done by qualitative method and carried out from February to August 2022. lecturers and Studends data retrieval is done using a digital questionnaire (online). Sample of this research is a studends, and employee at Kusuma Husada University Indonesia, the results is used to make applications (e-Steco). Results: E-Steco 19 is an Android-based application that is used to detect a person's health using the screening test method. Data will be stored using Google Sheet and Google App Script. Thus, the data that has been collected from users who fill out a list of questions in the application can be downloaded and processed according to the needs. Data can be downloaded via the link. The e-Steco result can be processed in such a way that the data can be used as material for decision making. E-Steco 19 consists of 14 questions for health screening. Here we show the results of data processing from e-Steco 19 Result in the form of a pie chart. Results: The e-Steco 19 application has been completed and has also been running a test, so that it can make it easier to detect the health of lecturers and Studends, at Kusuma Husada University Indonesia. This application is still possible to be developed and used in Timor Leste University and Health Clinic.

Artificial Intelligence Concepts for Mental Health Application Development: Therapily for Mental Health Care

Mental health has become an increasingly important topic to address as a surge in mental health issues can be seen across the globe significantly owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Several factors such as unawareness, daily life interruptions, and social stigma lead to people hesitating in acquiring appropriate mental health support, thereby arising the need for effective and round-the-clock mental health support solutions. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to address how Artificial Intelligence (AI) in conjunction with the portability of smartphones, can be leveraged to provide a type of first aid for mental health to users in their moment of educational need. This article proposes a new mental health assistance solution in the form of a mobile application called Therapily. The ideation, design, and implementation aspects of this application will be explored along with discussing the technical details of the key modules to aid the education of the health domain. An emotion detection module employing a Deep Neural Network to analyze the user’s facial expressions for recognizing in-the-moment emotion(s) followed by suggesting therapeutic activities based on the results, will be explored. Moreover, the creation of a Natural Language Processing (NLP) - based chatbot and the functionality of online consultations with licensed and experienced therapists will also be covered. Finally, the different ways in which Therapily is likely to be extended or modified in the future will also be identified.

Value-based modeling for mobile health application development.

In this paper is presented the use of value-based modeling, traditionally a business development tool, for the improvement of mobile health app design. The conceptual foundations for this work are design science, which is the scientific study and creation of artifacts, and convergence, which is a research method that in this case combines engineering with medicine. Relevant previous work done by the research team included the modeling of a case management system using process-based and information-based modeling techniques. Value-based modeling represents actors who are exchanging with each other things of economic value, including service outcomes. The focus is on how value objects are offered, accepted, and exchanged in a network. Value-based models do not describe how transactions occur, but rather the net value of those transactions. This technique was applied to the design development of a mobile application system for the improvement of access to health services. Significant value-based modeling was performed. These models highlighted the importance in healthcare delivery of effective value exchanges. The results revealed a limitation on the net value of services delivery. These were related to constraints of time, cost, and responsibility. A design improvement was proposed: The development of an automated decision-making subsystem within the machine learning component of the app system. This subsystem would recommend between-visit micro adjustments to the plan of care based upon protocols established by the healthcare provider. Such would provide an agile response to the patient's changing needs as well as an amelioration to the challenges of access to services.

Health communication to reduce sugar consumption in Thailand

Excessive sugar consumption is one of the critical health behaviors contributing to Non-Communicable Diseases or NCDs, which are the leading causes of mortality among the Thai population. It is reported that Thai people have a continuous increase in sugar consumption every year associated with higher incidences of NCDs in the country. Therefore, health communication to raise awareness and modify the sugar consumption behavior in Thailand focuses on integrative communication in terms of public policies in accordance with the National NCDs Strategic Plan, guidelines and knowledge in sugar consumption including healthy and unhealthy sugar sources, sugar substitutes and their use in functional foods, health problems related to sugar consumption, the use of GDA Nutrition label, and the application of Healthier Choices standards with appropriate sugar content. With changing lifestyles, social media and technologies play a higher role in health communication regarding sugar consumption, resulting in the development of health applications in conjunction with IoT technology that can be used via smartphones. All these communications aim to promote the reduction of sugar consumption in the prevention of NCDs, thus reducing the premature death rate of the Thai population accordingly.Keywords: health communication, sugar consumption, sugar, sweetener, sugar tax, social media, non-communicable diseases, NCDs, nutrition label, GDA label, IoT

Viability of mobile applications for remote support of radiotherapy patients.

Technological advances of the 21st century have provided greater communication, regardless of socioeconomic class and age group. Actions to promote the development of health applications are emerging around the world. To provide a perspective on the viability and usability of mobile applications dedicated to radiotherapy patients for remote support to health professionals proposing solutions to encourage Brasil in the development of these digital tools. Cross-sectional exploratory study by systematic review and literature review. We searched the PubMed, BVS, IBGE, and WHO databases, from 2014 to 2018. 6 articles were found with topics related to the use of mobile applications in the health area, two of which were published in Portuguese and four in the English, on oncology, from 2014 to 2018. We did not find an expressive number of works on this subject in Brasil. Mobile applications have the potential to assist in the remote support of radiotherapy patients. The latest studies suggest the need for a regulation of data protection protocols to be deployed.

Developing and pilot testing M-health care application for pregnant and toddlers based on user experience

Indonesia is the country number 4 as the largest smartphone user. In addition to functioning as a social media, the use of smartphones for other purposes has begun to develop in order to facilitate the work. Similarly in the field of maternal and child health. Most of the public, pregnant mothers and checking the development of children under five, were conducted to the Public Health Center. As a service center, Public Health Center need to improve its services. Among other things, it needs to be supported with technology. The high number of queues, the length of queue time and the traffic jam, prompted the need for the development of health applications, based on mobile. The role of the user is crucial to the successful implementation of a technology. This study aims to measure whether the application of M-Health Care application, as a prototype of the application developed to meet the needs of users. M-Health Care Application was developed with a prototyping approach. While for the measurement of M-Health Care Application done by using approach of USE Questionnaire. From result of data processing got result, usability measurement value equal to 88,3%. This indicates the M-Health Care application prototype is considered satisfactory for the user.The results of this measurement can be used as a reference for the next M-Health Care application development model based on user experience.

Development of mHealth applications for pre-eclampsia triage.

The development of mobile applications for the diagnosis and management of pregnant women with pre-eclampsia is described. These applications are designed for use by community-based health care providers (c-HCPs) in health facilities and during home visits to collect symptoms and perform clinical measurements (including pulse oximeter readings). The clinical data collected in women with pre-eclampsia are used as the inputs to a predictive model providing a risk score for the development of adverse outcomes. Based on this risk, the applications provide recommendations on treatment, referral, and reassessment. c-HCPs can access patient records across multiple visits, using multiple devices that are synchronized using a secure Research Electronic Data Capture server. A unique feature of these applications is the ability to measure oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter connected to a smartphone (Phone Oximeter). The mobile health application development process, including challenges encountered and solutions are described.

Liberating data to transform health care: New York's open data experience.

The health community relies on governmental survey, surveillance, and administrative data to track epidemiologic trends, identify risk factors, and study the health care delivery system. Since 2009, a quiet “open data” revolution has occurred. Catalyzed by President Obama’s open government directive, federal, state, and local governments are releasing deidentified data meeting 4 “open” criteria: public accessibility, availability in multiple formats, free of charge, and unlimited use and distribution rights.1 As of February 2014, HealthData.gov, the federal health data repository, has more than 1000 data sets, and Health Data NY, New York’s health data site, has 48 data sets with supporting charts and maps. Data range from health interview surveys to administrative transactions. The implicit logic is that making governmental data readily available will improve government transparency; increase opportunities for research, mobile health application development, and data-driven quality improvement; and make health-related information more accessible. Together, these activities have the potential to improve health care quality, reduce costs, facilitate population health planning and monitoring, and empower health care consumers to make better choices and live healthier lives.

Lessons Learned from the Development of Health Applications in a Tertiary Hospital

Adoption of smart devices for hospital use has been increasing with the development of health applications (apps) for patient point-of-care and hospital management. To promote the use of health apps, we describe the lessons learned from developing 12 health apps in the largest tertiary hospital in Korea. We reviewed and analyzed 12 routinely used apps in three categories-Smart Clinic, Smart Patient, and Smart Hospital-based on target users and functions. The log data for each app were collected from the date of release up until December 2012. Medical personnel accessed a mobile electronic medical record app classified as Smart Clinic an average of 452 times per day. Smart Hospital apps are actively used to communicate with each other. Patients logged on to a mobile personal health record app categorized as Smart Patient an average of 222 times per day. As the mobile trend, the choice of supporting operating system (OS) is more difficult. By developing these apps, a monitoring system is needed for evaluation. We described the lessons learned regarding OS support, device choice, and developmental strategy. The OS can be chosen according to market share or hospital strategic plan. Smartphones were favored compared with tablets. Alliance with an information technology company can be the best way to develop apps. Health apps designed for smart devices can be used to improve healthcare. However, to develop health apps, hospitals must define their future goals and carefully consider all the aspects.
