Influence of Higher Education E-Service Quality on E-Learning Student Satisfaction; As Moderated By Digital Literacy: A Mixed Method Research Approach

Introduction: This paper explores the impact of college e-service quality on student satisfaction in the context of the innovative practice of "Internet + Education" in order to research whether there is any difference in students' perception of college e-service quality under the influence of different levels of digital literacy. The research object of this paper is students of universities in Kunming, and the SERVQUAL model is extended. Among them, the independent variables are the five dimensions of e-service quality. The dependent variable is online education student satisfaction. The moderating variable is digital literacy. This research is based on relevant service theories. A combination of quantitative and qualitative methods is used. The results of the research show that the impact of service quality on college students' e-learning satisfaction is different under different levels of digital literacy. Objective: The research objective of this paper is to investigate the impact of the quality of e-services in higher education on student satisfaction in order to research whether there are differences in students' perceptions of the quality of e-services in higher education under the influence of different levels of digital literacy. Theoretical Framework: This research was expanded with the SERVQUAL model and followed the exploratory sequential mixed methods process of scientific investigation, from the initial selection of variables to the final discussion of recommendations and countermeasures. Method: In this study, the scientific survey process of exploratory sequential mixed methods was used to research the satisfaction of college students with online education based on the theory of digital literacy and service quality, using college students in Kunming, China, as the target of the survey, and a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Results and Discussion: The results of the analysis showed that the independent variable: the five factors of e-services (the higher, the higher the satisfaction of students. And under the moderating variable, digital literacy moderated all the other factors, only the relationship between responsibility and e-learning student satisfaction had no significant moderating effect. Research Implications: 1. theoretical significance: by constructing a comprehensive theoretical model, this research aims to provide new insights into the field of e-learning. It not only helps to understand the impact of E-learning platform design and service quality, but also emphasizes digital literacy as an important moderating variable. 2. Practical significance: The research results will provide value to educational technology developers and educational policy makers, helping them to optimize e-learning platforms to enhance user experience and learning outcomes. Originality/Value: This research expands the SERVQUAL model by taking online education as the background, combining the actual situation of online education in China, and taking digital literacy as the variable. It allows colleges and universities to break through the original traditional education model. And lifelong learning and personalized learning are the focus of the reform of continuing education in colleges and universities. The results of this research will promote colleges and universities to continuously improve the quality of online education and provide reference for schools and teachers to carry out online education and continuing education.

Research on TPACK Framework Construction of Teaching Models in the Education of Physical Therapy

Physical therapists must have a rich understanding of medical knowledge, professional skills, and educational background to assist patients in their recovery effectively. However, the academic approach and teaching methods have always been an essential topic in the training of physical therapy professionals. The TPACK framework provides a method for integrating teaching techniques, subject knowledge, and technological applications for professional educators, which can promote more effective educational methods and improve student learning experiences. This study explores constructing and applying a teaching model based on the TPACK framework in physical therapy. By combining technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and content knowledge, this study will examine the value and effectiveness of this teaching model by analyzing real cases and teachers' feedback in the context of physical therapy education. Additionally, we will consider the rapid development of educational technology and future challenges and how to address these challenges to meet the needs of physical therapy education better. Through in-depth research and discussion, this study aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for education in physical therapy to promote the development of more effective educational models and training methods that better meet patient rehabilitation needs.

Course Design and Evaluation System Construction Under the STEM Education Mode

With the rapid development of information technology, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, as a crucial model for nurturing innovative talents, is gaining increasing attention. However, challenges such as insufficient resources and a lack of diversity in teaching methods exist in its implementation. Against this backdrop, this article conducts an in-depth analysis of course design and evaluation system construction under the STEM education model. The aim is to explore effective teaching strategies and diversified evaluation methods, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of education and cultivating students’ comprehensive problem-solving skills.

A technical infrastructure for primary education data that contributes to data standardization

AbstractThere is a significant amount of data available about students and their learning activities in many educational systems today. However, these datasets are frequently spread across several different digital services, making it challenging to use them strategically. In addition, there are no established standards for collecting, processing, analyzing, and presenting such data. As a result, school leaders, teachers, and students do not capitalize on the possibility of making decisions based on data. This is a serious barrier to the improvement of work in schools, teacher and student progress, and the development of effective Educational Technology (EdTech) products and services. Data standards can be used as a protocol on how different IT systems communicate with each other. When working with data from different public and private institutions simultaneously (e.g., different municipalities and EdTech companies), having a trustworthy data pipeline for retrieving the data and storing it in a secure warehouse is critical. In this study, we propose a technical solution containing a data pipeline by employing a secure warehouse—the Swedish University Computer Network (SUNET), which is an interface for information exchange between operational processes in schools. We conducted a user study in collaboration with four municipalities and four EdTech companies based in Sweden. Our proposal involves introducing a data standard to facilitate the integration of educational data from diverse resources in our SUNET drive. To accomplish this, we created customized scripts for each stakeholder, tailored to their specific data formats, with the aim of merging the students’ data. The results of the first four steps show that our solution works. Once the results of the next three steps are in, we will contemplate scaling up our technical solution nationwide. With the implementation of the suggested data standard and the utilization of the proposed technical solution, diverse stakeholders can benefit from improved management, transportation, analysis, and visualization of educational data.

Application of Kimi Intelligent Assistant in the Teaching of Water Pollution Control Engineering Course

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, its application in the field of education is becoming increasingly widespread. This paper introduces the functional features of the Kimi Intelligent Assistant and elaborates on its application in the teaching of Water Pollution Control Engineering course from aspects such as assisting in lesson plan design, creating mind maps, answering questions, process design, exercise compilation, and extracurricular extended learning. Challenges and countermeasures of introducing Kimi Intelligent Assistant into the course teaching are analyzed from the perspectives of technology integration, teacher training, student acceptance, data security and privacy, cost, and curriculum content updates. The paper also provides a prospect for the further application of the Kimi Intelligent Assistant, suggesting that it is expected to become an important tool in promoting the technological development of future environmental engineering education.

The development of modern educational technology greatly influences education, becoming a prevalent topic in the field of high-quality education. This article examines Chat GPT's current status in high-quality education in China and discusses its significance in promoting educational progress and development. Explored challenges in delivering high-quality education from policy and technical perspectives and proposed viable solutions. Through this exploration, our goal is to acquire a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist for Chat GPT in the field of high-quality education. We strive to enhance modern educational technology to better cater to the needs of Chinese students and contribute to their growth and development.

Application of personalized recommendation algorithm based on Sensor networks in Chinese multimedia teaching system

The development of modern educational methods and educational technology has promoted the development of Chinese language teaching, and this teaching method has many advantages over traditional teaching. In order to extend and develop the teaching of Chinese language majors, this article designs a multimedia type system based on Chinese language teaching by combining data mining technology and recommendation algorithms. This system requires the use of a series of related technologies in the application process, the core of which is data mining technology. This article analyzes this system from different research perspectives and considers it from the user's perspective to improve and optimize the information resource library. And according to the needs of some users for the Chinese language multimedia system, the functions were added. Finally, the relevant experimental data was weighted and the final results were obtained. It was found that it can greatly improve the efficiency of the original teaching system. After experimental comparison, it was found that the improved teaching system can quickly complete some teaching tasks, improve overall work efficiency, and lay a theoretical and technical foundation for the subsequent establishment of a Chinese language multimedia teaching system.

Reluctance to Authenticity-Imbued Social Robots as Child-Interaction Partners

We are facing the rapid development of educational technology and social robots tested in classrooms. Research has identified teachers’ caution and concerns about these robots’ social skills. Pre-service education is critical for forming beliefs and preparing teachers for the future classroom and innovations in educational technology. In the present study, exploratory factor analysis is applied to examine pre-service teachers’ concerns about social robots’ instructional integration in the role of social agents interacting with children. We apply a concerns scale encompassing the instructional and socio-emotional concerns regarding robots’ instructional integration in the classroom environment. In this study, the scale, which was developed in Slovenia, is examined in the Russian cultural context. Based on the concerns scale, exploratory factor analysis identifies a one-factor solution with five statements (of a six-item factor) shared with the Slovene sample, adding three statements focusing on the importance of the teacher’s role. Russian pre-service teachers share concerns with Slovene pre-service teachers and further highlight the authenticity of unique human relationships and interactions. Slovenian pre-service teachers are more focused on children’s social skills and well-being, while Russian participants give special attention to the teacher’s role and value and believe that it would be wrong to place the robot in a classroom for such a purpose. They do not consider the robot’s human-like interaction skills sufficient for it to be assigned the role of a social agent and interaction partner in the classroom. The inappropriateness of the robot for pedagogical interactions and relationships is the basis of all their concerns. The Kruskal–Wallis test identified the moderate magnitude of the difference between the groups (ε2 = 0.07–0.12), with Russian pre-service teachers presenting the strongest reluctance towards authenticity-imbued social robots in pedagogical roles. The authors emphasize the need to clearly state stakeholders (roboticists, teachers, children, parents) in the research design and their roles in the evaluation of robot implementation.

Bibliometric Analysis to Reveal Research Evolution and Educational Technology Trends in Civil Engineering Education

Civil engineering education is a discipline that endeavors to find the best way through various pedagogical methods to teach civil engineering to prospective civil engineers. Civil engineering education is in the spotlight along with developments in construction technology and its application in learning. Thus, civil engineering education offers a broad field of research in the context of education and construction sciences. Therefore, investigating the evolution of educational research and technology trends in civil engineering education is of interest. In this context, we performed a bibliometric analysis of 545 Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) global publications in the field of civil engineering education published during the period 1967 to 2022. A comprehensive bibliometric analysis was conducted using the R language-based software Biblioshiny. The research results show that, first, research trends in civil engineering education in the 55-year period were divided into 6 themes, namely: engineering education, civil engineering education or construction education, fields of civil engineering, technology in engineering education, global and social aspects, and other. Second, the United States is a leader in civil engineering education research, as most authors and journals are from this country. Third, the evolution of educational technology in civil engineering education can be described in five eras: 1) simple software era (1976–1990); 2) geographic information systems (GIS) and virtual reality (VR) era (1991–2000); 3) multimedia and e-learning era (2001–2010); 4) building information modeling (BIM) era (2011–2022); and 5) the forthcoming era (2023−future). Using computers as analysis and visualization tools became increasingly accurate and real, such as the integration of VR technology and incorporation of BIM technology. These findings might help researchers regarding the future direction of research and educational technology in civil engineering.

The Effect of Self-Efficacy on Digital Reading Platforms on Early Childhood English Language Development

Early childhood education is crucial in laying a solid foundation for children's language and literacy development. In an era where digital technology is increasingly pervasive in daily life, it is important to understand how digital reading platforms can influence young children's language development. This study aims to explore the relationship between children's self-efficacy in using digital reading platforms and their English language development. Qualitative research methods were employed, collecting data through participatory observation and interviews with parents and early childhood educators. The research sample consisted of 30 children (aged 4-6 years) who regularly use digital reading platforms in formal and informal learning environments. The results indicate a positive correlation between children's self-efficacy levels in digital reading platforms and their progress in understanding and using English. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance of strengthening children's self-efficacy and selecting appropriate digital reading platforms to support young children's language and literacy development. This study provides valuable insights for educators, parents, and educational technology developers in designing effective learning strategies for young children in the digital age.

EXPLORING INTERACTIVITY AND ENGAGEMENT: IMPROVING WRITING SKILLS WITH CHATGPT FOR FUN LEARNING

This study examines the potential benefits of utilizing ChatGPT in the teaching and learning process. ChatGPT is an advanced language model that aims to improve writing skills through customized, fun learning based on needs assessment and a planned curriculum. The research explores how ChatGPT can make learning to write more enjoyable, given the increasing need for effective and enjoyable learning tools characterised by the development of technology in education. The study employs a mixed methods approach, utilising both quantitative analysis and qualitative feedback collection. Quantitative data will be gathered by assessing writing skills before and after the intervention. In contrast, the study will collect qualitative data through surveys and interviews to gain a deeper understanding of the participants. The participants of this study are teachers and grade XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah Mertoyudan who used ChatGPT for writing activities for two months. The evaluation methods used in this study include teacher assessment, written tests, and qualitative analysis. Additionally, an assessment rubric was used for the on-writing evaluation. The research findings indicate that, apart from ChatGPT, students are also accustomed to using Bing AI to explore interactivity and engagement in writing skills. The study suggests that integrating ChatGPT into writing practice can increase engagement and interactivity. These findings can help teachers and students integrate machine learning in a good and ethical way.

Using e-scaffolding to develop students’ scientific reasoning through inquiry-based learning

Introduction. Through inquiry-based learning (IBL), scaffolding is provided to help students develop their scientific reasoning (SR). However, the results obtained by students vary depending on their prior knowledge because the strategies of scaffolding vary on demand. Therefore, the different levels of scaffolding should be provided to all students based on their prior knowledge to facilitate their internalisation of new information in the classroom.Aim. The present research aimed to examine students’ SR in a course involving two electronic scaffolding levels (e-scaffolding) in IBL.Methodology and research methods. The authors conducted a mixed-methods explanatory study followed by semi-structured interviews and think-aloud exercises with two classes (experimental and control) of 64 physics students in Indonesia for eight weeks. The authors collected the quantitative data by testing their prior knowledge and SR and obtained the qualitative data from the interviews and the think-aloud exercises, learning activities, photos, videos, and teachers’ notes. ANOVA analysis of the quantitative data and thematic analysis of the qualitative data were performed.Results and scientific novelty. To our knowledge, our research marks the first instance of providing scaffolding with a tiered level option, a feature previously limited to a single level. It was found that there were significant differences in students’ SR based on students’ prior knowledge of the subject. E-scaffolding developed more on SR for students with low prior knowledge. Taking notes as a habit and switching roles during experiments helped improve students’ SR. It was observed that the students with low prior knowledge still needed e-scaffolding buttons to master physics concepts. Meanwhile, the students with high prior knowledge employed e-scaffolding buttons only to answer task completion.Practical significance. Based on the research findings, the tiered e-scaffolding produced in this work opens a new potency to be applied by physics teachers to enhance student’ SR. Additionally, educational technology developers may consider tiered e-scaffolding designs to provide an adaptive system.

Challenges and Strategies in Adopting Google Workspace for Education: Perspectives from Educational Leaders in Indonesia

Effective educational technology adoption and implementation have become crucial for educational institutions in the digital transformation era. However, this study aims to identify the challenges faced by educational leaders in adopting and implementing Google Workspace for Education in educational institutions, as well as strategies to address these challenges. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and specially designed spreadsheets to gather perspectives and data from 70 educational foundation leaders and school principals in Indonesia. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the collected data. The findings revealed challenges such as mindset change, technological barriers, collaboration issues, and resource constraints in adopting Google Workspace for Education. The study identified six strategies to overcome these challenges, including supervising teachers' work, enhancing participation in training, fostering collaboration among teachers, monitoring and evaluating usage, preparing supportive infrastructure, and gaining support from school leaders. This research provides insights into the perceptions and strategies of educational leaders in adopting and implementing Google Workspace for Education, contributing to a deeper understanding of the digital transformation in educational institutions and its implications for educational technology development in Indonesia.

Practical Development of Artistic and Creative Activity of Students: from Work Experience

Introduction. In this study, the author addresses the problem of the development of modern innovative educational technologies in the context of artistic and creative activity. The purpose of the study is to reveal the features of the implementation of modern innovative pedagogical approaches in pedagogical artistic and creative practice. Methodology. Artistic and creative activity is studied from the perspective of a personal activity approach as a leading type of pedagogical activity. From the point of view of the competence approach, the main competencies of students are determined within the framework of continuous multi-level specialized education (artistic, aesthetic and socio-pedagogical). The Childrenʼs Academy of Artistic Creativity and Design became a research site. Results. The study shows that the project method is currently in demand in the context of the development of modern innovative educational technologies. The importance for pedagogical artistic and creative practice is particularly noted. It is shown that during the implementation of the project, the student acquires certain artistic and creative competencies necessary for further training in professional artistic and creative activities. Conclusion. In conclusion, the main aspects of the application of the project method in pedagogical artistic and creative practice are shown.

Digitalisasi Bahan Ajar Untuk Membangun Pemahaman Agama Islam Yang Moderat

This research aims to analyze the utilization of the digitalization of teaching materials for the Islamic religion course in enhancing moderate understanding of Islam among students in the Society 5.0. In this scientific paper, the author discusses the digitalization of teaching materials for the Islamic religion course to improve moderate understanding of Islam in the Society 5.0 with a qualitative research approach. In this approach, The author collected data and information through interviews, observations, and various sources related to the topic, including scientific journals, books, and reliable online sources. The results of the study show that digitalization of teaching materials can help improve moderate understanding of Islam among students. However, there are still several obstacles in implementing digitalization of teaching materials, such as the digital divide and lack of direct interaction between lecturers and students. Therefore, educational institutions need to provide adequate internet access and devices, technology skills training, provide online and offline discussion forums, and introduce anti-plagiarism policies to overcome these obstacles. This research contributes to the development of digital technology in Islamic education in the Society 5.0.

Analysis of the Impact of Personalized Learning Paths in Mobile Learning Platforms on the Development of Self-Directed Learning Strategies Among Brazilian College Students

This paper investigates the impact of personalized mobile learning (m-learning) platforms on the development of self-directed learning (SDL) strategies among Brazilian college students. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study combines quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews to explore how personalized learning paths influence SDL skills such as goal-setting, time management, and reflective practice. The quantitative analysis reveals a significant positive correlation between the degree of personalization in m-learning experiences and enhancements in SDL competencies. Qualitative insights further elucidate students’ perceptions of personalized m-learning, highlighting increased motivation, engagement, and a sense of ownership over their learning processes. The research also delves into the challenges and opportunities presented by the Brazilian educational context, including infrastructural limitations and the digital divide. The findings underscore the potential of personalized m-learning platforms to foster learner autonomy and suggest implications for educators, policymakers, and educational technology developers. The study calls for further research on the longitudinal effects of personalized learning and the socio-economic factors affecting m-learning adoption and effectiveness.

Effective Strategies for Blended Teaching of Elementary School Mathematics Based on the Smart Education Platform

The continuous development of educational technology has made the smart education platform an important part of modern teaching and learning, especially in elementary school mathematics teaching, which continues to show great potential. Smart education platforms have been described as revolutionary tools that have dramatically changed traditional teaching and learning methods through integrated technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and cloud computing, and these platforms not only provide rich and diverse teaching resources but also support personalized learning paths and interactive learning experiences, thus effectively improving teaching efficiency and learning quality. The integration of smart education platforms with traditional offline teaching not only meets the requirements of the reform of the teaching mode but also optimizes the learning process of students and improves the learning effect. Understanding the Role of Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT) in Improving Learning Quality and Practices

Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) are an artificial intelligence model gaining popularity in educational technology development. GPTs are models that are massively trained on diverse texts and can generate texts with structure and meaning. The utilization of GPT in education offers great potential to improve the quality of learning, both inside and outside the classroom. This study aims to understand the role of GPT in improving the quality and practice of learning. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study method. Data collection techniques in this research include literature study, interviews, and observation. Thematic analysis will be used as the main data analysis technique. The results show that GPT has the potential to be a supportive and interactive tool to increase student motivation in the learning process. The participants perceived GPT as a convenient and efficient means to access information, complete assignments, and receive personalized content tailored to their interests and learning styles.

Technologies of literary and methodical teacher education

Importance. The purpose of the study is to reflect the search for the most productive ways of teaching literature. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to include modern technologies in the methodology of literary reading in primary and secondary schools to prepare teachers for effective teaching.Research Methods. The technologization methods of the educational process are related to the typical features’ understanding of technology, the classification of technologies in pedagogy and, in particular, in didactics, with the development of educational and training technologies that are available to primary school teachers and teachers of philology.Results and Discussion. The technologies of multilevel perception of the text by the teacher, complex analysis of the work in preparation for the lesson, achievement of expressive reading of the text, technology of co-creative reading, discrete reading, immersion in the artistic text, preparation for retelling, carrying out dictionary work, etc. have been developed and tested in teaching practice. Special attention should be paid to the technology of artistic and speech accompaniment of children’s life activities during the day, which has not only an educational, but also a healthsaving, educating character. Each technology cannot be described in detail within the scope of the study, therefore, the list of references contains sources containing detailed theoretical justifications of technologies and multiple examples of applications.Conclusion. The conclusion of the study on the technologization of the educational process is related to the self-education of the teacher, who is currently provided with a variety of opportunities for this.
