Recently, the widespread digitalization of society and the development of the creative economy have led to changes in the structure and value of the goods and services provided. The basis of the creative economy is innovation. To create any new ideas, it is necessary to use a non-standard approach and solutions. The development of creative industries, in turn, has a beneficial effect on economic growth and raises the interaction between consumers and producers to a new level. Creative technologies in tourism are a relatively new direction, as they focus on unique and unusual forms of travel and entertainment. The article discusses the main forms and directions of creative tourism, and also focuses on cultural features that may also interest and attract tourists. The basis for the development of creative tourism on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan is the tourism and recreational potential, which makes it possible to organize completely new routes and fully reflect the rich culture of the republic. Also, the development of creative industries, combined with its potential, will have a beneficial effect on the development of local crafts and deeper mutual understanding and respect for culture and traditions. The article analyzes the tourism and recreational potential using the scoring method of Yu.A. Khudenkikh and assesses the degree of his influence on the development of creative tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan. An analysis is given of existing events that can have an impact and attract new tourists to the territory of the republic.

Creative Tourism Development Model Through Natural Dyeing Batik Educational Tourism To Increase Interest In Tourism Visits In The Natural Village Of Malon, Semarang City

Tourist creative development through batik education tour is one of an effort in conserving culture of Indonesian society, encouraging empowerment of society. One of them is on the Malon Village which develops a creative tourism. This study aims to analyze the development models of creative tourism through natural-colored batik education tour to increase the interest of tourist visits in an effort to enhance the small to medium tourism business to improve the local economy. This study uses qualitative methods, a field observation, interviews, and library studies. The result of this Natural Thematic Malon Village has a privilege in natural dyeing sources from processing or reusing the natural waste (leaves, bamboo, woods and others) in the environment around the village. These things give an impact to waste utilization, and are friendly for the environment as well. In its development this place became a Creative Malon Village model that provides nature-dyeing batik education tour, however there is a number of necessary things that need to be fixed related to the marketing that is narrow. Promotions are more focused on exhibitions at the mall or certain programs, rather than using social media and E-commerce to help the development of creative tourism for the village incomes and the interest of tourist visits. Identify Appropriate Variables Through Scenario Planning Perspective for Creative Tourism in Iran

Identify Appropriate Variables Through Scenario Planning Perspective For Creative Tourism In Iran. This study explores the major factors affecting the creative tourism market in Iran and their potential to drive national and regional development in the long run. The study employs the MicMac and Scenario Wizard software to identify the variables and their relationships and influence on each other. The study finds that communication infrastructure is a general factor that affects all guest communities, while others are specific to capital attraction from Middle Eastern countries. These include improving political relations with these countries and digital advertising and marketing of Iran’s development. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a new teaching methodology on student performance in mathematics. The methodology involved a combination of interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities. A quasi-experimental design was used, with one group of students receiving the new methodology and a control group receiving traditional teaching methods. The study was conducted over the course of one semester with pre- and post-tests administered to both groups. The results showed a significant improvement in the performance of the experimental group compared to the control group. The experimental group had a mean post-test score of 87.5, compared to the control group’s mean score of 76.2. The influence graph shows the relationships between the variables and how they influence one another, and the spatial structure of the direct driving forces of creative tourism development in Iran is indicated at a rate of 25%. This research offers insights and recommendations for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and scholars interested in the development of creative tourism in Iran. These findings suggest that the new teaching methodology can be an effective way to improve student performance in mathematics. Regional Creative Capacity and Creative Tourism Development. The Case of Cultural Associations in Peripheral Areas

Creative Capacity (RCC) is a dynamic research topic that integrates authentic creativity, indigenous knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship, and networking. RCC is a valuable tool for regional policy makers to achieve economic growth, tourism development, and social cohesion in peripheral areas. Cultural Associations, especially in remote areas, serve as “authentic organizations” related to local culture and traditions that support regional uniqueness, identity, and authenticity, and foster creative capacity through various cultural activities (non-typical museums, local cultural events and festivals, revival of customs, rituals, gastronomy, craft etc.). Nowadays, tourists are increasingly seeking “authentic” cultural tourism experiences that require active participation and co-creation in the community’s customs and manifestations. Therefore, cultural associations can be examined within the broader perspective of creative tourism. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether the dynamics of cultural associations can function as a mechanism to encourage creative tourism in peripheral communities, using four creativity criteria: people, process, product, and environment. The study also aims to examine networking opportunities of cultural associations based on three criteria: administrative, spatial and functional, and to propose novel local creative tourism networks. The qualitative research method employed is a case study approach with structured observation, document analysis, and in-depth interviews with nineteen Cultural Associations in the Regional Unit of Rodopi in Northern Greece. Research findings reveal a strong potential for the development of creative tourism in the broader area with highlighted perspectives and options for further action, while emphasizing the need for networking of cultural associations.

IMPACT OF CREATIVE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ON CONDITIONS SOCIO-ECONOMIC LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN DAGO POJOK TOURISM VILLAGES

Changes in tourism trends make tourists need to be more interactive and try to overcome the experience of not just being tourists who are served by actors in the tourism industry. The development of creative tourism is like this, and besides being able to meet the needs of tourists, the development of creative tourism can also create jobs and improve people's welfare. The city of Bandung is a city owned by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to be included in the UNESCO World Network of creative cities. However, the city of Bandung also has a limited typology of natural tourism. This is what makes the Bandung City government take advantage of the creative spaces that exist around the community, namely Kampung-Kota as an alternative for developing tourism potential. The Bandung City Government has developed 30 creative tourism villages in 30 Bandung City Districts. And Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village is the first creative tourism village in Bandung City and the ideas from the Dago Pojok Village community become an example for other Creative Tourism Villages in Bandung City. The purpose of this study was to identify and determine the actual conditions of creative tourism in the Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village as a creative tourist attraction and its impact on the socio-economic conditions of the community. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach with analysis using coding tools. The development of creative tourism in the Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village has had a positive impact on the socio-economic life of the community. Judging from the relationship between the community, education, increased community income, and the opening of new job opportunities for the community. Even so, the overall socio-economic impact for the community has not been sustainable. The development of creative tourism is of great importance to the economic growth of cities. As the only mega-city in western China, the development status and competitiveness of creative tourism in Chongqing city are worth analyzing. This paper uses Porter’s diamond model to analyze the competitiveness of creative tourism in Chongqing; it uses AHP hierarchical analysis and constructs a creative tourism competitiveness evaluation system through expert interviews to compare the competitiveness of creative tourism in Chongqing and Chengdu city to verify the accuracy of the evaluation system, and finally discusses the issues that need attention in enhancing the competitiveness of Chongqing’s cultural and creative tourism development.

Culture-Led Regeneration and Creative Tourism Development in Indonesia's City Slums: Some Findings from Tangerang City

Tourism has been in the spotlight recently, especially in urban slum areas. Many studies have reviewed slum areas. However, transforming slums into creative tourism villages or kampungs is a new phenomenon that emerged in urban slums in Indonesia. Creative kampung, in particular, is a form of tourism that changes the slum area into a tourist destination. This study aims to explore the extent of the creative tourism kampung's sustainability and the role of stakeholders in ensuring the sustainability of this creative tourism village. This study employs descriptive analysis by combining in-depth interviews and literature analysis to unravel creative kampung in practice. This study found that the kampungs' transformation can be seen in physical, social, and environmental dimensions. Moreover, this study also outlines an appropriate strategy to ensure the sustainability of creative kampung. Stakeholders' collaboration to maintain social capital and economic value is proposed to sustain the creative kampung initiatives. It is because creative kampung provides a way to preserve culture and, at the same time, boost the local economy. Therefore, transforming slum villages in many cities into creative tourist villages is one of the solutions for dealing with urban slums.

Millennials as potential creative tourists in South Africa: a CHAID approach to market segmentation

ABSTRACT Creative tourism has recently emerged as an important area of tourism development, particularly in the Global North. In the Global South, studies of the profile of creative tourists and their motives for partaking in creative tourism are limited. This paper investigates creative tourism demand among South African millennials, analysing what motivates their participation and developing a descriptive consumer profile. CHAID analysis was used for segmentation, revealing a group with a high participation intention and a second group with a low probability of creative tourism participation. Creative tourism intentions were linked to knowledge acquisition, skills and escape motivations, and demographic characteristics including relationship status and gender. Respondents were more likely to participate in domestic rather than international creative tourism, indicating the potential for creative tourism development in South Africa. The findings could help managers and policymakers meet the needs of creative tourists, addressing shortfalls in product development, experience design and marketing.

Development Concept and Strategy for Creative Tourism of Community-Based Tourism Destinations in Yogyakarta

The paper explores the current condition and the potential development of creative tourism in the context of community-based tourism (CBT) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A particular context was studied, that is, in the times of COVID-19 pandemic, where its adverse effects were experienced by tourism industry. Based on the research of the current state of creative tourism products in the tourism villages as CBT destinations, the paper aims to identify the factors contributing to the development of creative tourism products in tourism villages based on their cultural and natural assets. The research was conducted in three tourism villages in Yogyakarta by employing observation and interviews with the tourism villages’ managers and community members. Data were analyzed employing content-analysis. Findings of the research show that creative tourism is important for the survivability of tourism villages’ business especially during and post pandemic. Findings also bring in the importance of leadership and entrepreneurship of the tourism villages. Such result contributes to the conceptual understanding of creative tourism development, especially in the context of CBT destinations, to be able to enhance the resilience of tourism villages and to continue prosper the local community.

Increased interest in non-standard and exciting pastime is currently a worldwide trend. Experts mention with good reason that impressions are the basis of modern tourism. Creative tourism is a source of regional income growth, a way to strengthen competitive position of tourism business, and it is a source of positive emotions for tourists. Digital marketing helps identify the needs of tourists and form a unique offer to competing enterprises of tourism industry. Tourist offer and its preparation are gradually being transformed thanks to advances in information and communication technologies. The purpose of the study is to assess the potential of creative tourism in the development of small towns, as well as to identify the main directions of effective implementation of this process. The research methodology is the following: marketing survey, marketing analytics, descriptive, analytical, statistical, and project methods. The scientific significance of the study results is to identify the main characteristic of creative tourism development, that is co-creation, the development of which will allow to form value, develop territories, expand knowledge, and attract funding. The paper expands the conception of creative tourism. It is not just an interactive study of the terrain, a tourist route, but also involvement of tourists in the process of co-authorship and creation. The practical significance of the study is to identify the potential for creative tourism development in Orel region, as well as to systematize the main problems in successful implementation of this process. The advantages of creative tourism over cultural tourism are identified. Their use will help to revive the districts and attract additional funding. Summarizing the results of marketing analytics made it possible to identify the most commonly used retrieval requests, the use of which in the system of creative tourism services promotion will increase the brand awareness of the city. The paper systematizes the main directions of the marketing program to implement the concept of creative tourism development in the regions. In particular, the potential of social networks as a digital marketing tool is investigated, and strategies of creative tourism development in small towns are proposed.

The development of creative tourism in Ukraine and globally during the COVID-19 pandemic

The article identifies the challenges to the creative industries in tourism as an important phenomenon in the conditions of the urgent global issue of COVID-19. The concepts of “creative industries”, “creative tourism”, and signs of creative tourism (economic, social and ecological sustainability) have been specified. An analysis has been made, and the issues and opportunities for introducing creative industries into tourism have been determined. It is emphasized that creative tourism, as a self-sufficient product, easily changes format and subject matter depending on the objectives set, while remaining creative in its nature and purpose. The main opportunities for the development of tourist services and creative tourism priority areas have been outlined. Recommendations for introducing creative technologies by relevant government institutions and tourism enterprises have been suggested.

PARTNERSHIP OF GOVERNMENT AND CREATIVE INDUSTRY IN DEVELOPING CREATIVE TOURISM IN KAMPUNG BATIK KAUMAN, SURAKARTA

The development of creative tourism that relies on the creative industry in Kampung Batik Kauman requires cooperation and partnership with tourism stakeholders so that the planning and implementation go according to the goals of sustainable tourism. This study aims to identify the actual conditions of creative tourism and identify the form of partnership that exists between the government and the creative industry in Kampung Batik Kauman. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The participants of this study were the government of Surakarta City and the creative industry involved in creative tourism activities and involved in cooperation or partnerships in Kampung Batik Kauman. The results of this study indicate that creative tourism in Kampung Batik Kauman meets the criteria for developing creative tourism. The form of partnership that exists between the government and the creative industry in developing creative tourism is a complementary partnership, where the benefits have been felt by the government and the creative industry but are still limited.

Cities in a country have become a major actor that is more prominent than the country itself in regional and even global geographical relations. Competition between cities to gain trust as the best city in a particular aspect depends on how the city can convey the strength of competition with the relevance of the city. However, the competition is not only between baser cities, but also baser cities and ceci cities. So a strategy is needed for small cities to be able to increase their competitiveness in order to compete with big cities through city branding. Regional competitiveness is one of the main issues in regional developmentThe analysis method used in this study is descriptive analysis (descriptive research) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Hasil this research, among others 1) In general, the results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for the government, especially the Batu City Government and other actors involved in the impact of creative tourism in Batu City. 2) This research is expected to be used as a strategy to implement creative tourism development in Batu City properly and sustainably. 3) In addition, this research also aims to provide academic knowledge related to creative tourism in Indonesia in general and in Batu City in particular. Creative Tourism aims to bind the soul of tourists to the attractiveness of tourism. The process of soul engagement and authentic experiences owned by each individual tourist is an important point in the development of tourism. With this new marketing pattern, it inspired many local governments, to apply it in the development of the image of their city. The development of tourism in the form of creative tourism is considered to be able to lift and shape the image of a city with increasing visits and consumption of tourist products with creative types of tourism.

Leadership and Entrepreneurship for Creativity and Survival of Tourism Villages in the Covid-19 Times: the Moderating Role of External Support

Purpose: This research has the objective of developing a theoretical model to provide insights into the association between leadership and entrepreneurship with tourism villages' ability to create creative products and survivability, while underlying the moderating role of external supports in such relationships. Empirically, this research is in-time since the government had priovided significant supports to the tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Theoretical framework: The current research takes the perspective of the rural tourism and creative tourism development (Raymond, 2007; Wu, et al., 2017). While past research has explored the role of leadership and entrepreneurship in the Small and Medium Enterprises context (Aslam and Awang, 2015; Zadel and Rudan, 2019), a dearth of research on those roles on Therefore there is still much to examine on the relationships between variables in a comprehensive model integrating leadership, entrepreneurship, creative product outcome, and business survival. Moreover, the external supports were included in the model as a moderating variable. Design/methodology/approach: Quantitative research was conducted at tourism villages in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The sample group consisted of 154 respondents who were tourism villages' managers. Findings: Results show that (1) Tourism Village Leadership influences positively Creative Product Outcome and Business Survival, (2) Tourism Village Entrepreneurship influences positively Creative Product Outcome and Business Survival, (3) External Support moderates the influence of Tourism Village Leadership on Creative Product Outcome and Business Survival, 4) External Support moderates the influence of Tourism Village Entrepreneurship on Business Survival. However, External Support does not moderate the influence of Tourism Village Entrepreneurship on Creative Product Outcomes. Research, Practical & Social implications: Such results portray the importance of leadership and entrepreneurship as well as external support in sustaining a tourism village. Originality/value: The current research is particularly significant in the study of tourism village tourism development and at the same time theoretically develops a model that connects the variables that are important in the development of rural areas, namely leadership, entrepreneurship, and the ability of local communities to develop creative tourism products and survive in a business manner. Creative tourism development through storynomics tourism model in Borobudur

So far, the development of tourism in Borobudur depends on The Borobudur Temple as a tourist destination. Meanwhile, sustainable tourism, can’t only promote destinations, but also the strengthening of environmental sustainability, local wisdom, and sustainable economy. This study aims to explain the development of creative tourism through the model of storynomics tourism in Borobudur. The concept used in this research include creative tourism, storytelling in marketing communication, and storynomics tourism model. This research applies both quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection was done through a survey, FGD, and interview. The result show that there are at least five sources of tourism creativity in Borobudur, namely creativity in nature, arts/craft, spirituality, gastronomy, and language. The creativity comes from collaboration between government, local communities, tourism service provider, and the tourism themselves. The development of creative tourism is done with the formation of cultural narrative that originates from culture, history, and relief of Borobudur Temple into story of economic value (storynomics).

CREATIVE TOURISM AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES: A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

The tourism sector has experienced unparalleled challenges, particularly with the Covid-19 pandemic. These challenges are an opportunity to focus on developing coordinated strategies and actions to promote sustainable and socially responsible tourism and thus accelerate the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. This research aims to identify and analyze literature that specifically addresses creative tourism as a model for sustainable development of tourism in cities. It aims to fill a gap in the knowledge of the field, as no reviews with this focus have yet been undertaken. The Web of Science (WoS) database was used to extract the publications and VOSviewer software was used to represent the analyzed data. The study analyses publications with the keywords “creative tourism” and “sustainability” and “cities” in titles, keywords and abstracts in the WOS database. The analysis identified publications representing a new line of research that has been evolving, identifying the authors, the countries, the journals, the study areas, and the publications that stand out concerning the analysis of this specific topic. The studies referring to the theme present an approach of conceptualisation and proposal of models and development of creative tourism and promote the planning and management of the territories attending to a creative and sustainable perspective. The main contribution of this research is the analysis of the corresponding literature aiming at rethinking and revitalising the tourism sector and territories in an integrated perspective and sustainable management in the planning processes of tourism destinations.

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the search for new forms of interaction in the field of cultural industries located at the intersection of education and tourism.
 The purpose of the article is to substantiate the need to develop a new cultural and educational interactive product within the framework of the development of creative tourism in the Kaluga region, reflecting the society's demand for new forms of interaction. Inclusion in the information and communication space of the region is most successful if there is interaction with the addressee of communication (consumer) at different levels: semantic, emotional, technological, event-based.
 The main research methods are analysis, generalization, modeling, observation, testing.
 Using the example of a local history quest using modern educational storytelling technology, the ways of involving foreign guests, as well as representatives of national and cultural autonomies living in the Kaluga region, in active knowledge of the historical and cultural features of Kaluga and the region are shown. The "pocket guide" tool developed for completing the quest not only provides a meaningful filling of the communicative space, but also through special tasks offers to make independent observations of cultural objects of the city and region, helps to find answers to questions during the quiz, involves participants in dialogue and co-creativity, forms a national and cultural identity in a multicultural environment.
 This study helps to identify new communication channels and means of information transmission based on modern technologies that allow to obtain new effects in the interaction of subjects - educational, cultural, social.

Креативный туризм и цифровизация общества

Introduction. The substantiates the relevance of the study of creative tourism and the digitalization of society. The increasing digital needs of citizens are noted. The answer to the consumer’s request is the digitalization of the economy. It is indicated that creative tourism, using digital technologies, is able to ensure the restoration of the tourism industry, which was most severely affected during the pandemic. Theoretical analysis. The concept of “creative industries” is considered in detail from an economic and legal point of view. Groups of creative industries are distinguished. It is noted that creative industries are being transformed into tourist niches, which together make up creative tourism. Empirical analysis. The analysis of retrospective data and the forecast of future values indicates a growing share of the contribution of creative industries to both global GDP and Russian GDP. However, it is noted that digital exclusivity is becoming an obstacle in the development of creative industries. The paper focuses on digital products of domestic and foreign museums. The possibility of introducing digital avatars into the activities of performing arts as components of the creative tourism industry is indicated. Results. In conclusion, it is noted that the processes of digitalization affect the development of creative tourism. Innovation and experimentalism inherent in creative industries and digital technologies will determine the directions of transformations of creative tourism in the future.

Islandscapes and Sustainable Creative Tourism: A Conceptual Framework and Guidelines for Best Practices

As strategies for the development of creative tourism multiply in contexts ranging from global cities to small communities, the need for a clearer conceptual framework, capable of better differentiating existing approaches, has become more evident. Building upon existing knowledge on cultural and creative tourism, and on a prior review of the literature on creative tourism on islands, this paper proposes a typology of creative tourism initiatives, and after examining this new categorization, develops the concept of sustainable creative tourism. Through highlighting the need for creative tourism developers, policymakers, and practitioners to deepen their engagement with more holistic and integrated approaches oriented towards sustainable development in all its dimensions (economic, environmental, social, and cultural), the authors systematize a set of international principles and policy recommendations meant to promote sustainable creative tourism development strategies, duly adjusted to different places and realities, with an emphasis on vulnerable islandscapes.
