Investigating the impact of artificial intelligence development on water pollution in China

Analysing the impacts of AI development on water pollution is of great significance for improving water environment management measures and promoting global sustainable development. In this study, macro and micro panel data of China from 2008 to 2019 were used to measure the development level of AI at the industry and provincial levels in China, and a panel data regression model was constructed to analyse the effects of AI development on water pollution and regional heterogeneity. The measurement results show that the development level of AI is increasing. Among the six industries, the intelligence level of the manufacturing industry has developed the fastest, by approximately 48.74 times compared with the baseline. At the provincial level, Guangdong Province made the greatest progress in intelligence level, increasing by approximately 23.6 times. The regression results show that AI technology is helpful in reducing the level of water pollution, and this conclusion remains valid after the regression of instrumental variables and robustness testing. In terms of regional heterogeneity, AI technology can significantly reduce the degree of water pollution in eastern and western China. However, the development of AI technology in the central region has no significant impact on water pollution, and a risk of increasing the degree of water pollution exists. The reasons may be that the eastern region has high levels of economic vitality and technological innovation and a strong ability to transform AI achievements, which can significantly improve the water environment. Industrial support policies in the western region are strong, and the application of AI can quickly improve production methods and significantly reduce water pollution levels. In comparison, the levels of economic development, technological innovation, and policy support in the central region need to be strengthened, so the environmental effect of AI is not significant.

The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Development on Urban Energy Efficiency—Based on the Perspective of Smart City Policy

China’s economy is stepping into a new stage of high-quality development. The shift not only marks the optimization and upgrading of the economic structure, but also reflects the in-depth implementation of the concept of sustainable development. In this context, the development of AI technology is playing an important role in balancing economic growth and ecological protection with its unique advantages. This paper empirically studied the impact of AI development on urban energy efficiency by constructing panel data for 282 prefecture-level cities from 2006 to 2019 and then using the super-efficiency SBM model based on non-expected outputs to evaluate the urban energy efficiency indicators of prefecture-level cities. It was discovered that the development of AI had a key influence on increasing urban energy efficiency and the optimization of the energy structure by speeding up green technology innovation and digital economy development, which in turn improved urban energy efficiency. In terms of heterogeneity analysis, AI development had a greater impact on urban energy efficiency in the eastern region, which has higher levels of human capital, financial independence, and government intervention. This study combined the smart city pilot policy with a multi-period DID model, based on the treatment of endogeneity issues, in order to perform a parallel trend test and investigate further the effects of policy implementation on the advancement of AI in the context of improving urban energy efficiency. Accordingly, to achieve green and sustainable urban development, the relevant government departments should increase funding for AI research and development, pay attention to the introduction and cultivation of professionals, establish a platform for international exchanges and cooperation between AI and energy management, and continue to advocate for the pilot development of smart cities to increase urban energy efficiency.

MEMECAHKAN CAPTCHA-TEXT TERDISTORSI DENGAN CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK

At the early stage of the development, CAPTCHA-text used distorted which difficult to solve by OCR technology. The development of AI technology, machine learning and image processing year after year makes the task to distinguish between human interaction and "bot" becomes more challenging. Recently, more advanced CAPTCHA types are available to avoid the risk of using CAPTCHA-text that can be considered irrelevant anymore to secure a website. However, until now can be found some websites that still use CAPTCHA-text. This paper contains the experimental results of developing an intelligent "bots" (using AI techniques) to solve the distorted text CAPTCHA. The Convolutional Neural Network was chosen as an approach for this study because its performance has proved excellent for object recognition applications. The CNN architecture used for this research consists of three convolutional layers, three pooling layers and two fully-connected layers. From the results of experiments conducted, the system managed to achieve a level of accuracy of 75% in ± 29 hours of program execution.

The Use of AI Technology in Digital Ceramic Technology

Abstract With the development of AI technology, the development of the ceramic industry has ushered in a good opportunity. This paper discusses the application of AI technology in the field of ceramics on the basis of deep convolutional generative adversarial network, using Adam optimizer to further improve the performance of the model, using the hidden space to add noise to each layer of the network, and proposing a digital ceramic texture image generation model based on DCGAN. Meanwhile, the K-Means algorithm and feature fusion mechanism with BWP as the evaluation index are introduced to improve the Faster R-CNN algorithm and construct the ceramic defect detection model. The scores of each subjective evaluation index of image generation quality are greater than 4, which are located in the interval of higher evaluation. The scores of IS, BRISQUE, and NIQE are 3.39, 22.57, and 4.43, and the quality of ceramic texture image generation of this paper’s model is better than that of other algorithms. The ceramic defect detection model’s detection accuracy for all five ceramic defects is higher than 92.68%, with an 8.54% improvement over the original algorithm’s defect detection performance. The research in this paper has important theoretical and practical significance for ceramic product design, quality control, and troubleshooting of production equipment.

Motion Control Method of Bionic Robot Dog Based on Vision and Navigation Information

With the progress and development of AI technology and industrial automation technology, AI robot dogs are widely used in engineering practice to replace human beings in high-precision and tedious industrial operations. Bionic robots easily produce control errors due to the influence of spatial disturbance factors in the process of pose determination. It is necessary to calibrate robots accurately to improve the positioning control accuracy of bionic robots. Therefore, a robust control algorithm for bionic robots based on binocular vision navigation is proposed. An optical CCD binocular vision dynamic tracking system is used to measure the end position and pose parameters of a bionic robot, and the kinematics model of the controlled object is established. Taking the degree of freedom parameter of the robot’s rotating joint as the control constraint parameter, a hierarchical subdimensional space motion planning model of the robot is established. The binocular vision tracking method is used to realize the adaptive correction of the position and posture of the bionic robot and achieve robust control. The simulation results show that the fitting error of the robot’s end position and pose parameters is low, and the dynamic tracking performance is good when the method is used for the position positioning of control of the bionic robot.

In this paper, I will detail the phenomenal problems involved in the AI era. Issues such as information bubble, post-truth, and digital prison will point to the problems that arise in an environment based on AI technology. This article will also show that, after Covid-19, the AI-based environment has changed not only as a technology as a tool for humans, but also as a condition for survival. From this, we diagnose the problems of control, monitoring, and subjection brought about by the development of AI technology and the changes to the living environment caused by the Covid-19 outbreak. Synthesizing these problematic situations, I argue that the AI-based environment is not designed to cause social change as a result of natural changes or technological progress, but as a kind of discipline mechanism. I believe that it is necessary to consider how this will affect the changes and development of human society, and that it is necessary to predict this through social structural changes. Through this process, I will discuss this concept by analogically applying them to the problems of the AI era. TAS: A Temperature-Aware Scheduling for Heterogeneous Computing

With the development of AI technology, the parameters and calculation overhead of advanced models have increased exponentially, resulting in the existing low-end GPU(Graphic Processing Unit) being unable to meet the computing power required for model operation. In order to speed up the inference speed in edge scenarios, various manufacturers have launched NPU(Neural Processor Unit), a special chip for neural networks, which can improve the overall inference efficiency and reduce energy consumption through a certain loss of precision. However, in the current common edge-side solutions, the problem of CPU+GPU+NPU co-processing is not well considered. At the same time, edge-side devices are more easily affected by the ambient temperature. In this paper, CPU+GPU+NPU is used to jointly process edge-side inference tasks, and we first established a heterogeneous device temperature perception model based on the ambient temperature of the edge device, then proposed a TAS(temperature-aware schedule) algorithm to control the running speed of the heterogeneous device, and then proposed a task scheduling algorithm for the heterogeneous device, namely TASTS(TAS-based task schedule). At the same time, we also use a hungarian matching algorithm to optimize the final result. This paper finally verified several models in real edge environment, found that it can improve the performance by 20-50% compared with conventional methods under temperature constraints.

Design of Sports Training Simulation System for Children Based on Improved Deep Neural Network.

Therefore, according to the idea of process capture and target recognition, on the basis of the original conditions of the recognition model, a new recognition model is developed through Zheng's target detector. The modified model is characterized by higher accuracy. Weapons need to combine process recognition and result recognition. The experimental results show that the improved model has the obvious advantages of high precision and fast speed, which provides a new research idea for the development of children's physical training simulation.

A Review of Convolutional Neural Network Development in Computer Vision

The Internet of Things (IoT) has gotten a lot of attention in recent years. This has directly led to the vigorous development of AI technology, such as the intelligent luggage security inspection system developed by the IoT, intelligent fire alarm system, driverless car, drone technology, and other cutting-edge directions. This paper first outlines the structure of CNNs, including the convolutional layer, the downsampling layer, and the fully connected layer, all of which play an important role. Then some different modules of classical networks are described, and these modules are rapidly driving the development of CNNs. And then the current state of CNNs research in image classification, object segmentation, and object detection is discussed.
