Application of Artificial Intelligence in Justice: Current Trends and Future Prospects

Abstract Background Modern digital technologies are actively being introduced into spheres of society, including justice. Electronic justice at the present stage of development of information technology has moved to a qualitatively new level. It has become obvious that artificial intelligence (AI) is our present, not our future. Objective This article analyzes foreign experience in the implementation and use of AI in justice, identifies possible areas for the use of AI in justice, examines the legal personality of AI and the scope of its competence, and evaluates the prospects for the development of AI in justice. Results The authors identified the following areas of use of AI in justice: organizational sphere of activity of courts; assessment of evidence and establishment of legally significant circumstances; consideration of the case by AI. Also in this study, the stages of introducing AI into justice: short-term perspective, medium-term perspective (5–10 years), long-term perspective. It is noted that at present the work of AI is possible only in conjunction with a human judge. Conclusions The authors noted the feasibility of using AI in resolving issues that require processing a large amount of information and documents in electronic form. This will ensure procedural savings and reduction of time for consideration of disputes on the merits through speed and error-free calculations.

Modern development of the digital economy, opportunities and threats: An analysis of China's experience

Subject. This article explores the role of digital technologies in ensuring economic growth and improving the quality of life. Objectives. The article aims to assess China's achievements and prospects in the development of the digital economy, and analyze and discuss cybersecurity issues. Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods. Results. The article finds that China's success in the field of digitalization can be explained by a systematic approach to the development of information technologies, and the development of strategies for creating a new economy. Artificial intelligence has a positive and significant impact on economic growth. Conclusions. The development of the modern economy requires solving the problems of digital inequality and information protection.

To achieve the goals of Islamic education, in the learning process teachers should use learning media. By using learning media, teachers will more easily teach subject matter and students will more easily understand the lesson. The characteristics of Islamic learning media can be grouped into graphic media, audio media and silent projection media. Based on how it is obtained, media is divided into finished media and designed media. When choosing media, you need to pay attention to the media selection criteria. By using media in the learning process, it is hoped that the quality of Islamic religious education will be even better. This article also discusses learning resources in learning Islamic Religious Education. The importance of learning resources in learning cannot be denied, learning resources are anything, whether objects, data, places, facts, ideas or people that can trigger the learning process. Learning resources can be classified into several types such as people, materials, environment, activities, tools and equipment. From here learning resources are classified into printed, non-printed learning resources, facilities, activities and environment. Of course, with the current development of information technology, it can help students to get various learning resources from all directions, so that students will be more active and creative in learning.

The Population-Based Hungarian Twin Registry: An Update.

Between 2006 and 2021, the Hungarian Twin Registry (HTR) operated a volunteer twin registry of all age groups (50% monozygotic [MZ], 50% dizygotic [DZ], 70% female, average age 34 ± 22 years), including 1044 twin pairs, 24 triplets and one quadruplet set. In 2021, the HTR transformed from a volunteer registry into a population-based one, and it was established in the Medical Imaging Centre of Semmelweis University in Budapest. Semmelweis University's innovation fund supported the development of information technology, a phone bank and voicemail infrastructure, administrative materials, and a new website was established where twins and their relatives (parent, foster parent or caregiver) can register. The HTR's biobank was also established: 157,751 individuals with a likely twin-sibling living in Hungary (77,042 twins, 1194 triplets, 20 quadruplets, and one quintuplet) were contacted between February and March of 2021 via sealed letters. Until November 20, 2022, 12,001 twin individuals and their parents or guardians (6724 adult twins, 3009 parents/guardians and 5277 minor twins) registered, mostly online. Based on simple self-reports, 37.6% of the registered adults were MZ twins and 56.8% were DZ; 1.12% were triplets and 4.5% were unidentified. Of the registered children, 22.3% were MZ, 72.7% were DZ, 1.93% were triplets, and 3.05% were unidentified. Of the registered twins, 59.9% were female (including both the adult and minor twins). The registration questionnaire consists of eight parts, including socio-demographic and anthropometric data, smoking habits and medical questions (diseases, operations, therapies). Hungary's twin registry has become the sole and largest population-based twin registry in Central Eastern Europe. This new resource will facilitate performing world-class modern genetic research.

The Applied Research of E-commerce Technology from the Perspective of Communication Studies

With the rapid development of computer network technology and information technology, the e-commerce mode is constantly innovated and applied, which has injected new vitality into the commercial activities. In terms of technology, advanced technologies such as mobile payment, artificial intelligence, big data and AR technology have been widely used in the field of e-commerce, and the innovation of e-commerce technology has also promoted the enrichment of content and diversification of information dissemination. As a subject of information communication and communication, communication science provides important theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of e-commerce technology. From the perspective of communication science, this paper discusses in-depth the innovation and application of e-commerce technology, aiming to reveal the important role of the principle of communication science in the development of e-commerce technology, and discuss how to promote the sustainable development of e-commerce industry through technological innovation and application.

Relationship between Teacher Professional Development and use for ICT in Teaching and Learning in Primary Schools in Sabuli Sub-County, Wajir County

Information and communication technology use in education has become an indispensable aspect in the contemporary education system. This explains why many governments including Kenya government have invested in information and communication technology to foster the quality of education. However, despite efforts to avail information and communication technology resources, their use and impact on instructional delivery has been minimal, especially in primary schools in Kenya. Consequently, there has been concern on relationship between availability of information and communication technology and teacher professional development in primary schools. This situation has necessitated the proposed study which is aimed at assessing the relationship between teacher professional development and use for ICT in teaching and learning in primary schools in Sabuli sub-county, Wajir County, Kenya. The study used correlation research design. The target population 94 teacher comprising 30 head teachers and 64 teachers of primary schools in Sabuli sub-county, Wajir County. Given the small number of teachers in public primary schools in Sabuli sub county, the study purposively selected all teachers and head teachers as participant to avoid reducing the ambiguity of a study. Thus, the sample population was 94 respondents. The researcher gathered data using questionnaires from teachers and used semi-structured interview for head-teachers. Data was analysed using descriptive and regression statistics. The findings highlight a statistically significant positive relationship between teacher professional development and ICT use, indicating a direct relationship between the two variables.

The market size is continuously expanding, and the range of cultural tourism and education products and services is becoming more diverse, meeting the needs of various consumer groups. Innovation has become mainstream; companies and institutions within the industry are constantly exploring new development models, which promote the transformation and upgrading of the cultural tourism and education industry. Increased policy support has provided a solid guarantee for the innovative development of this industry. Thus, in the process of formulating operational strategies, it is essential to first conduct an in-depth market analysis to understand consumer needs, competitive situations, and industry trends. Subsequently, product strategies that align with market laws should be developed, including product positioning, unique feature creation, and the enhancement of product lines. Simultaneously, a reasonable pricing strategy must be established to ensure that product pricing is competitive while achieving the profit goals of the enterprise. Through the formulation and implementation of these strategies, business management can help the cultural tourism and education industry achieve sustainable development.

Manajemen Perpustakaan Berbasis Information and Communication Tecnology (ICT) di Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al –Washliyah

This study aims to determine ICT-based library management because the rapid development of technology makes significant changes, especially in information technology. Related to the development of information technology, libraries have also changed from conventional libraries to digital libraries. Library as an information center in the face of technological developments, namely by managing libraries using library management based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as library management. This development can be felt now with many libraries using Infomation and Communication Technology (ICT) as management in libraries. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative methods. The techniques used for data collection are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using three stages, namely: data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show that ICT-based library management is able to improve services and use in libraries, as well as make it easier for students to obtain books and information needed because in its services it does not have a difficult process but is faced with a lack of human resources (Human Resources) in ICT management.

Digital human rights: doctrinal principles

The authors note that the digitization of public services has taken place, which has led to the transition of most or at least a significant number of public services to an electronic format and allowed us to talk about the emergence of concepts of electronic state (government) (e-government). The step-by-step transformation of state data management based on digital technologies, the development of complex super-services for citizens and businesses to receive public services in one click (DIY) was called «digital public administration». However, a clear definition and framework of the concept of «digital human rights» has yet to be developed. They seem to cover all human rights in the context of digitization and the development of modern information and communication technologies. It can be considered that this is the field of information law, which regulates human rights related to the use of information technologies. This includes the regulation of relations in the field of personal data processing, publication of information on the network, processing of big data, application of artificial intelligence, etc. The purpose of the scientific article is to consider the concept of digital rights and their implementation in the Ukrainian and European legal space, taking into account the contribution of Ukrainian scientists. The digital revolution that has swept the world has significantly changed the way people communicate, work and live. However, this rapid technological development brings with it new challenges for the protection of human rights. This article examines the concept of digital human rights and their dimensions in the Ukrainian and European context. It is indicated that the study and protection of digital human rights in the modern world requires a comprehensive approach, taking into account both Ukrainian and European experience. The works of domestic scientists testify to the urgency of the problem and indicate the need for further research in this area. Digital human rights are becoming an integral part of modern society, where technology is rapidly changing the way we live and interact. Ukraine, like other countries, faces many challenges in the field of digital rights, which are caused by the rapid development of information and communication technologies. From this context: first, understanding digital rights and their importance becomes a necessity for every member of society. People should be aware of their rights and responsibilities in the digital space, especially regarding the protection of privacy and personal data; secondly, the development of digital rights in Ukraine should take into account the best practices of European countries and global standards. Improving legislation, increasing public awareness and developing cyber defense are aspects that require immediate attention; thirdly, the importance of cooperation between the state, citizens, business and the scientific community. Effective and sustainable solutions to ensure the digital rights of Ukrainians can only be created through joint efforts.

Implementasi Sistem Antrian Pasien Berbasis Website Pada Klinik Sehat Tamba Kelurahan Cilangkap

Clinics are health facilities that provide basic medical services, diagnosis, treatment, and care to patients with minor or non-emergency medical conditions. The development of information technology has triggered the need for information systems in the medical field to improve health services. One important factor in increasing patient satisfaction is minimizing waiting time. Long queues can reduce clinic efficiency and affect patient satisfaction. This study aims to implement a website-based patient queue system at the Tamba Sehat Clinic, with the hope of increasing service efficiency and patient satisfaction. In implementing the website queuing system, researchers used qualitative methods to understand the effectiveness of health services and patient experiences. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The implementation of the Website-Based Patient Queuing System at the Tamba Sehat Clinic has had a significant impact. People can now easily get a queue number online via mobile phone or computer, eliminating the need to queue directly at the clinic location. Tamba Sehat Clinic, which was established in January 2023, has seen increased efficiency with this system. Patients can quickly and efficiently get a queue number, ensuring that their time is spent productively. Additionally, adopting this technology helps clinics improve the quality of service to prospective patients, creating a more comfortable and efficient experience for those in need of healthcare services. Thus, the implementation of a website-based patient queue system has brought real benefits to the community and clinics.

Collaborative Skills Training Using Digital Tools: A Systematic Literature Review

The development of information and communication technologies has changed our way of working, emphasizing the need for individuals to develop collaborative skills. The aim of the present systematic review was to examine the extent to which these skills can be developed through the use of digital tools. A search of seven electronic databases, following PRISMA guidelines, yielded 18 relevant peer-reviewed articles. Analysis of the literature revealed that digital tools have the potential to enhance collaborative skills. However, the effects vary considerably, depending on which tools, methods, and measures are used. It also revealed that studies were conducted mainly in the social sciences, mostly among students, and half of them focused on short interventions. Another finding was that little is known about the features of the digital tools that actually contribute to these effects. Work on how digital tools contribute to the development of collaborative skills is still in its infancy, and more research based on rigorous methods and measures is needed.

Enterprise asset management and accounting using the Internet of Things and big data

With the rapid development of information technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data have gradually become the core tools of modern enterprise management and decision-making. This study explores the application and potential value of IoT and big data in the field of enterprise assets and accounting. Through strategic questionnaire design and multi-channel data collection, a corresponding data model is constructed, and the effectiveness of the model is further verified. The results show that these technologies can not only improve the management efficiency of enterprises, but also provide more accurate and timely data support for corporate decision-making. However, in practical applications, enterprises also need to face data integrity, technology updates, and a host of other challenges. This study not only provides enterprises with an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of these technologies, but also provides valuable implications for future research and applications.

Data acquisition and application of internet of things in financial management

With the rapid development of information technology, Internet of Things technology has become a hot topic in today’s society. This study aims to explore how IoT technology impacts various aspects of financial management, in particular how it changes the collection, processing, and parsing of financial data. Through in-depth literature review, questionnaire survey and experimental design, the research found that IoT technology has a significant positive effect on sales, transaction times and inventory control. But at the same time, data security, privacy concerns and initial technology investment are also challenges that enterprises need to consider when adopting these technologies. Overall, IoT technology offers tremendous opportunities for financial management, but businesses must fully assess the potential risks and benefits when implementing it.

Financial Reporting, Criminal-Juridical Protection, And Corruption in Albania

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is role of financial reporting and the accounting profession in the identification of corruption what is foreseen in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania regarding the activity of businesses that violate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards, how they stand against each other with the aim of a true and fair view of the activities of each entity. Methods: This paper comes as an empirical study of the regulatory framework in Albania in the field of financial reporting and criminal-juridical protection provided in under Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania, as two influential indicators in the wide discussed phenomenon of corruption in our country. The study employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Through empirical and statistical analysis, the actuality in Albania will be understood in the trinomial of financial reporting, criminal-juridical protection, and corruption. At the end, suggestions for the main actors will be presented for the role of financial reporting in the fight against corruption and organized crime, identifying it as a main tool. Results and Discussion: Corruption and organized crime are increasingly finding themselves in many dimensions in the world of globalization and information technology development. Through the "Action plan for fighting corruption and economic crime" (2022), IFAC has provided a framework for how to improve the role of the accounting profession in the fight against corruption, aiming for alignment with the UN SDGs. In this context, Albania has also undertaken its reforms in several areas, such as in the field of financial reporting, justice, etc., focusing on strengthening institutions, increasing public trust, and involving professionals with integrity and an elevated level of professionalism. Implications of the Research: Albania has been working for a long time now to align its legislation with that of the EU, in the framework of EU Integration. Among other areas, there have been a lot of developments toward the harmonization of the legal framework in the field of accounting and audit profession regulation. One of the crucial points in financial information publication is the process of preparation and auditing of financial statements. The legal framework altogether with the reporting standards should aim to encourage the publication of a true and fair view of financial information. It is recommended that the accounting professionals should show caution to prepare financial statements in accordance with national accounting standards, or international financial reporting standards evidencing the true and fair view of the entity's activity. Originality/Value: This paper presents the effect of financial reporting and criminal-juridical protection on the level of corruption in Albania. This goal is achieved by evidencing statistical data on economic entities operating in our country, describing an analysis of criminal-juridical protection provided for in the Criminal Code in force in the Republic of Albania, as well as based on a literature studied to understand how the financial reporting of entities is an important instrument for identifying corruption and what is foreseen in this criminal offense, as a means of preventing corruption and conducting business activity in accordance with legal acts.

Proposal of innovative smart solutions for retail store in order to support competitiveness and sustainable development

The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming an increasingly important concept in various areas of our daily lives. With the development of information and communication technologies, the possibilities of IoT implementation are also expanding. The retail sector is also starting to make more significant use of IoT to improve and increase the efficiency of its business processes and more effective interaction with customers. Even though several partial IoT solutions have been implemented in retail, according to publicly available sources, there is no comprehensive IoT implementation in this sector. Therefore, we focused on the possibilities of creating a comprehensive proposal for the use of IoT in a retail enterprise in Slovakia. The main reasons for this transformation are the development of intelligent technologies, the increased demand of consumers for more convenient purchases and the efficiency of business processes, as well as to increase the competitiveness of the company. The aim of the contribution is to create a proposal for the implementation of IoT in retail, which will contribute to the sustainable development and competitiveness of the company. The result of the contribution is the creation of a proposal for the integration of the Internet of Things in retail, while the proposal is also applicable in other similar enterprises. The research methodology includes secondary sources and primary inquiry using an online questionnaire. The results of the primary research showed that a large part of respondents are interested in using IoT solutions in retail and that the implementation of these solutions affects their purchasing behavior. The conclusions of the paper indicate that the implementation of IoT solutions in retail would have a positive impact on the competitiveness of businesses. Factors that influence the choice of brick-and-mortar and online stores by customers were also identified. Customers’ interest in IoT solutions, as well as their preferences when choosing stores, represent a guideline for businesses operating in the retail sector. The implementation of the proposed solutions is relatively demanding on financial resources, therefore a good financial condition of the company is a necessary condition. Further research should focus on the security risks, barriers, ethical privacy issues associated with the use of IoT in retail stores.

Future directions for context in ICT4D: A systematic literature review

The digital divide between the Global South and North has been a major concern for researchers from various fields in the past two decades. This divide has led to an increased focus on research related to information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) and other relevant disciplines. Given the prevalence of dominant paradigms that often lead to aggregated and context-free observations, this paper emphasizes the role of context in ICT4D while advocating for more nuanced, context-specific approaches in research and policy formulation. Through a systematic literature review, it proposes a conceptual framework that captures the psycho-social and the structural dimensions of context in ICT4D as well as their impact on success of related projects. The paper highlights the need for tailored theories addressing often overlooked elements such as language, ethnicity, religion, government change, political instability, and legal frameworks in the context of ICT4D. The proposed framework offers a roadmap for researchers to navigate the complex context of ICT4D, especially in the realm of emerging technologies.

Analysis of the Progress and Optimization Path of Digitization of Corporate Policy Services in China

With the rapid development of information technology, the digital transformation of China's corporate policy services has become a key factor in driving corporate innovation and economic growth. Studies have pointed out that digitized policy services have effectively improved policy transparency and the ease of access to policy information for enterprises, while also providing them with a more efficient and precise way to file policy declarations. However, challenges such as information silos, data security and privacy protection still exist in the digitization process. The article further discusses the optimization path and suggests measures such as strengthening cross-departmental data sharing, improving laws and regulations, and enhancing enterprises' digital literacy in order to promote the healthy development of policy service digitization. This study provides valuable references for government departments and enterprises, and is of great significance in promoting the digital transformation of corporate policy services in China.

Developments and implications of tourism information technology: a horizon 2050 paper

Purpose This study aims to provide an overview of the development of tourism information technology from a macro perspective of the chronological lineage of tourism and information technology from its origins to the present. This study also explores the progression of tourism information technology, its implications and its future directions based on a macro environmental analysis framework comprising political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal perspectives. Design/methodology/approach This study serves as a valuable connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, combining the experiences of academic researchers and industry practitioners to thoroughly examine the progress and developments in tourism information technology. This research also identifies critical points in the domain to provide a unified and comprehensive explanation that aligns with the current research findings. Findings This research reveals the continuous timeline of tourism and information technology development. It discusses the origins, progress and interactions of tourism and information technology, revealing the structural political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal drivers of tourism information technology. This paper also presents suggestions for future agendas on the basis of a compendium and outlook of influences and implications for the domain. Originality/value Findings of this study set the foundation for a comprehensive analysis of the transformative influence of information technology on tourism and provide a contextual framework and insightful future agenda guide for subsequent academic and industry exploration and analysis of tourism information technology.

Exploration of the Deep Impact of Digital Platforms on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Activities of Entrepreneurs under the Information Management Framework

With the rapid development of information technology, digital platforms (DPs) have emerged as an indispensable aspect of the entrepreneurial landscape, which has a profound impact on entrepreneurial innovation and practice. However, there remains a gap in understanding the specific ways in which DPs influence the entrepreneurial process. Therefore, within the framework of information management theory, this study aims to deepen the understanding of how DPs foster entrepreneurial innovation and enhance entrepreneurial effectiveness, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of DPs. Firstly, the concept of information management in contemporary social enterprise management is thoroughly examined and reviewed to establish a robust theoretical foundation for further research. Secondly, the conceptual framework and core elements of DPs are extensively discussed, elucidating their role and function in the entrepreneurial process. On this basis, a theoretical model illustrating the impact of DPs on entrepreneurial innovation and activities is formulated, along with six specific research hypotheses. These hypotheses encompass the effects of DPs on entrepreneur behavior, enterprise development, and the platform–entrepreneur relationship. To verify the validity of these hypotheses, a questionnaire survey involving 398 entrepreneurs is conducted to facilitate in-depth communication. Simultaneously, the various attributes of entrepreneurs are categorized, and the resulting classifications are thoroughly analyzed and evaluated. The results show that the DP plays a positive role in promoting the development of platform enterprises, improving intrapreneurship activities, and enhancing the ability of intrapreneurship. In addition, DPs can effectively regulate the relationship between platform enterprises and entrepreneurs and promote the self-development of entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the entrepreneurial growth process has positively influenced platform enterprises. This finding strongly supports the practical application of DPs and provides valuable guidance for entrepreneurs to leverage them effectively in fostering innovation and entrepreneurial activities in the digital era. Meanwhile, this offers crucial insights for platform enterprises on enhancing their service offerings to entrepreneurs and fostering the sustainable development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In summary, through rigorous theoretical discourse and empirical analysis, this study emphasizes the significant role of DPs in the entrepreneurial journey, providing robust backing for their continued advancement and utilization in the entrepreneurial realm.

A Differentially Private Framework for the Dynamic Heterogeneous Redundant Architecture System in Cyberspace

With the development of information technology, tremendous vulnerabilities and backdoors have evolved, causing inevitable and severe security problems in cyberspace. To fix them, the endogenous safety and security (ESS) theory and one of its practices, the Dynamic Heterogeneous Redundant (DHR) architecture, are proposed. In the DHR architecture, as an instance of the multi-heterogeneous system, a decision module is designed to obtain intermediate results from heterogeneous equivalent functional executors. However, privacy-preserving is not paid attention to in the architecture, which may cause privacy breaches without compromising the ESS theory. In this paper, based on differential privacy (DP), a theoretically rigorous privacy tool, we propose a privacy-preserving DHR framework called DP-DHR. Gaussian random noise is injected into each (online) executor output in DP-DHR to guarantee DP, but it also makes the decision module unable to choose the final result because each executor output is potentially correct even if it is compromised by adversaries. To weaken this disadvantage, we propose the advanced decision strategy and the hypersphere clustering algorithm to classify the perturbed intermediate results into two categories, candidates and outliers, where the former is closer to the correct value than the latter. Finally, the DP-DHR is proven to guarantee DP, and the experimental results also show that the utility is not sacrificed for the enhancement of privacy by much (a ratio of 4–7% on average), even in the condition of some executors (less than one-half) being controlled by adversaries.
