Healthcare Data Security in Cloud Storage Using Light Weight Symmetric Key Algorithm

Now-a-days, healthcare monitoring system is very much important system in the medical field to know the patient‘s health status immediately. In the proposed system, the sensors are fixed over the patient’s body or placed at some distances around the body to collect patient’s significant parameters like blood pressure, temperature, heart beat rate, etc. These parameters are collected by the healthcare professionals through some connectivity mechanisms like Bluetooth, ZigBee, etc. These significant data will be outsourced to the cloud storage in a secure way to avoid attack from the attackers. So, we need some protection mechanism to safeguard this information. This article proposes a light weight cryptographic algorithm (symmetric key) via random number key generation using Diffie-Hellman key exchange based on Elliptic Curve (ECDH) cryptography. As a result of substituting bytes (S-box) and folding (horizontal and vertical) operations, the proposed symmetric key algorithm achieves the foremost properties of cryptography such as confusion and diffusion quite well. Experimental results showed that the overall execution time of the proposed algorithm is superior to the standard Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The throughput rate of the proposed algorithm is 20.525095 KB/seconds whereas for the standard AES algorithm throughput rate is 18.727215 KB/seconds. So, the proposed algorithm is faster than the existing AES algorithm. Moreover, the construction of S-box, IS-box and the key generation procedures are entirely different in the proposed algorithm so, it increases the complexity for the attacker and it will create confusion to the attacker

Quantum-secure fault-tolerant distributed cloud storage system

With the increasing prominence of data security in cloud storage, we propose a practical and robust cloud storage scheme, which uses quantum random numbers as encryption keys, disperses the keys using Shamir’s secret sharing scheme, applies erasure coding to the ciphertext, and securely transmits the data through quantum key distribution protected networks to the distributed clouds. This system offers several key advantages, including quantum-level security, fault tolerance, and storage space saving. To validate its feasibility, we conduct comprehensive experimental tests covering essential functionalities such as encryption/decryption, key preservation, and data storage. By successfully demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposal, we aim to accelerate the application of quantum technology in cloud storage.

Two Fish Encryption Based Blockchain Technology for Secured Data Storage

Data security and sharing remains nuisance among many applications like business data, medical data, banking data etc. In this research, block chain technology is built with encryption algorithm for high level data security in cloud storage. Medical data security seems critical aspect due to sensitivity of patient’s information. Unauthorized access of medical data creates major issue to patients. This article proposed block chain with hybrid encryption technique for securing medical data stored in block chain model at cloud storage. New Two fish encryption model is implemented based on RSA Multiple Precision Arithmetic (MPA). MPA works by using library concept. The objective of using this methodology is to enhance security performance with less execution time. Patient data is processed by encryption algorithm and stored at blockchain infrastructure using encrypted key. Access permission allows user to read or write the medical data attached in block chain framework. The performance of traditional cryptographic techniques is very less in providing security infrastructure. Proposed blockchain based Two fish encryption technique provides high security in less encryption and decryption time.

Decentralized Cloud Storage Using Blockchain

Abstract: Because of its accessibility and ease of use, cloud storage has become the most widely used type of storage on the market in recent years. However, the privacy and data security of cloud storage are at risk. The protection of data security and privacy is the main topic of this essay. We suggest a blockchain-based decentralised storage system. Since blockchain is a distributed peer-to-peer system, any processing node connected to the internet can join and build peers' networks, maximising resource usage. Blockchain protects data security. The user's file is encrypted and shared among a number of network peers in the proposed system utilising the IPFS (Interplanetary File System) protocol. Hashes are generated by IPFS. The path of the file is indicated by the hash value, which is kept on the blockchain. This project is focused on decentralised secure data storage, high data availability, and effective storage resource usage.

Exploiting LSB Self-quantization for Plaintext-related Image Encryption in the Zero-trust Cloud

The zero-trust (ZT) principle is a promising way to ensure data security in cloud storage. This principle stated that data confidentiality is guaranteed by encryption. However, in ZT image cloud storage scenarios, traditional symmetric cryptosystems and image encryption schemes based on the permutation-diffusion structure cannot balance between efficiency and security against some cryptanalysis. Existing plaintext-related image encryption schemes improve such problems but cause additional keys overhead for different plaintexts, additional ciphertexts overhead, or decryption failure under clipping and noise attacks. Thus, these encryption schemes cannot meet the requirements of ZT in both reducing implementation overhead and resisting multiple attacks. By using least significant bit (LSB) embedding in pixels, we propose a self-adaptive process driven by LSB self-quantization, which forms a novel plaintext-related encryption scheme in a provided ZT model. In our analysis, two pixel-level properties can be obtained through LSB repetitive embedding, LSB extraction, bitwise-XOR, and cyclic-shift operations. With these properties, the plaintext-related key stream is generated to encrypt pixel positions and pixel values, and its disturbance value can be spontaneously extracted from the LSB for decryption. As a result, the proposed scheme needs only one-round execution, resists multiple cryptanalysis without additional keys and ciphertexts, and ensures decryption under clipping or noise attacks. Further simulation results demonstrate that the scheme is efficient and has good resistance to these attacks, which indicates its good application potential for ZT image cloud storage scenarios.

Cryptographic Solution for Security Problem in Cloud Computing Storage During Global Pandemics

Cloud computing has emerged as a potential substitute over traditional computing systems during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all organizations shift their working from conventional ways to the online form of working. Most of the organizations are planning to permanently change some % of their work to online WFH (Work from Home) mode. There are numerous benefits of using cloud services in terms of cost, portability, platform independence, accessibility, elasticity, etc. But security is the biggest barrier when one wants to move towards cloud computing services, especially the cloud storage service. To overcome the problem of security in cloud storage systems, we have presented an approach for data security in cloud storage. The proposed approach uses the cryptographic methods and provides security and monitoring features to the user data stored in cloud storage systems. The proposed approach continuously monitors user’s data for any kind of modification by attackers. Thus, approach not only provides data security but also improves user’s trust on cloud based storage services.

Homomorphic Cryptosystems for Data Security in Cloud Storage

Cloud Computing enables users to use remote resources thus reduces the burden on local storage. However, the use of such services gives rise to new set of problems. The users have no control over the data which they have stored on those storages so to achieve data authentication with confidentiality is utmost important. As every user may not have that expertise so they can request for data verification task to Trusted Verifier (TV) which will be an authorized party to check the intactness of outsourced data. Since the data owner stores the data on the cloud in an encrypted format, it becomes difficult to check the integrity of the data without decrypting. But by using homomorphic encryption schemes the integrity checking can be made possible without original copy. In this paper, we have given implementation and performance details of two homomorphic encryption schemes, Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) and Paillier. The RSA is multiplicative homomorphic scheme where the Paillier is additive homomorphic scheme. Both the algorithms are partially homomorphic thus limited in their functions. Due to homomorphic property of these algorithms, original contents will not get revealed in the verification process. This framework will achieve authentication of data by maintaining confidentiality.

Searchable and revocable multi-data owner attribute-based encryption scheme with hidden policy in cloud storage.

With the development of outsourcing data services, data security has become an urgent problem that needs to be solved. Attribute-based encryption is a valid solution to data security in cloud storage. There is no existing scheme that can guarantee the privacy of access structures and achieve attribute-based encryption with keyword search and attribute revocation. In this article, we propose a new searchable and revocable multi-data owner attribute-based encryption scheme with a hidden policy in cloud storage. In the new scheme, the same access policy is used in both the keyword index and message encryption. The advantage of keyword index with access policy is that as long as a user’s attributes satisfy the access policy, the searched ciphertext can be correctly decrypted. This property improves the accuracy of the search results. The hidden policy is used in both the ciphertext and the keyword index to protect users’ privacy. The new scheme contains attribute revocation, which is suitable for the actual situation that a user’s attributes maybe changed over time. In the general bilinear group model, the security of the scheme is demonstrated, and the efficiency of the scheme is analyzed.

With the development of cloud storage system and its application in complex environment, its data security has been more and more attention. On the one hand, node crashes or external invasion are likely to lead to incomplete data; on the other hand, when the data is incomplete, because the cloud service provider deliberately concealed or other factors, the user cannot be promptly informed of the change. In view of the above problems, this paper makes a deep research, and puts forward a secure storage system based on how to ensure the data availability when data integrity and data are not complete. In this paper, we begin with the availability of data; the research focuses on the confidentiality of data, the loss of data recovery and data recovery. In this paper, we propose a data secure storage scheme based on Tornado codes (DSBT) by combining the technique of symmetric encryption and erasure codes. Program uses boot password to solve the traditional data encryption in the problem of key preservation and management; system design by correcting Tornado data redundancy code delete code in order to solve problems and recover lost data; through a hash keyed to Tornado code with error correction function so as to solve the problem of data tampering. On this basis, the paper continues to carry out research on data retrieval (POR). Based on the classic POR algorithm based on BLS short signature, the trusted log is introduced, and the trusted log is used to provide the user with the test results. Finally, combined with the DSBT scheme, the computational efficiency of the POR algorithm is optimized, which has nothing to do with the file size, which can achieve the calculation complexity of the constant level. According to the above scheme, this paper implements a secure cloud storage prototype system based on Cassandra. The test shows that the system can provide strong data loss recovery ability, effectively resist the Byzantine fault, in the back of the desirable detection ability is also prominent, but also has very high computation efficiency, especially in the face of large files. This paper studies the modeling and analysis methods of some key problems of data security in cloud storage, such as encryption storage, integrity verification, access control, and verification and so on. Through the data segmentation and refinement rules algorithm to optimize the access control strategy, using the data label verification cloud data integrity, using replica strategy to ensure the data availability, the height of authentication to strengthen security, attribute encryption method using signcryption technology to improve the algorithm efficiency, the use of time encryption and DHT network to ensure that the cipher text and key to delete the data, so as to establish a security scheme for cloud storage has the characteristics of privacy protection.

Cloud computing is a set of IT services that are provided to a customer over a network on a leased basis and with the ability to scale up or down their service requirements. It advantages to mention but a few include scalability, resilience, flexibility, efficiency and outsourcing non-core activities.Despite the potential gains achieved from the cloud computing, the organizations are slow in accepting it due to security issues and challenges associated with it. The idea of handing over important data to another company is worrisome; such that the consumers need to be vigilant in understanding the risks of data breaches in this new environment. Analysis of Different Privacy Preserving Cloud Storage Frameworks

Privacy Security of data in Cloud Storage is one of the main issues. Many Frameworks and Technologies are used to preserve data security in cloud storage. [1] Proposes a framework which includes the design of data organization structure, the generation and management of keys, the treatment of change of user’s access right and dynamic operations of data, and the interaction between participants. It also design an interactive protocol and an extirpation-based key derivation algorithm, which are combined with lazy revocation, it uses multi-tree structure and symmetric encryption to form a privacy-preserving, efficient framework for cloud storage. [2] Proposes a framework which design a privacy-preserving cloud storage framework in which he designed an interaction protocol among participants, use key derivation algorithm to generate and manage keys, use both symmetric and asymmetric encryption to hide the sensitive data of users, and apply Bloom filter for cipher text retrieval. A system based on this framework is realized. This paper analyzes both the frameworks in terms of the feasibility of the frameworks, running overhead of the system and the privacy security of the frameworks.
