Review of Data Security and Privacy in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing, thus, ensure more healthy demand for cloud services, certain measures against threats in order to protect information must be taken. In essence, the current paper seeks to extend knowledge regarding the improvement of paradigms of cloud computing with particular focus on the aspect of certification of authentic users and protection of the contents that are hosted in these environments. It mentions a new approach in the context of the authentication method that was deployed for the purpose of the AAA certification is presented there along with the watermarking and this RSA algorithms to enhance the security of the cloud file-sharing. This concept is far more effective than the conventional access policies that are top down and cal beforehand for systematic risk avoidance; hence, it helps to minimize the chances of an organization being vulnerable to various risks by right management. Iturbide’s data loss prevention technique eliminates the probability of losing sensitive information to the rest of the world as well as other unauthorized persons or organizations regaining access to privileged keys while Shamir’s secret sharing algorithm- polynomial interpolation ensures that the generation of keys is not a time-consuming exercise. In order to address the issues of persistent security threats in cloud computing paradigm, the proposed model includes computation, encryption and access to improve the overall security of cloud environment. However, these measures have been implemented, some of them can offer the best security when it comes to the ever-evolving threat. To maintain the privacy of clients’ data in the CL reinforcement learning, the paper suggests the use of homomorphic encryption for privacy-preserving RL inference. Therefore – as a result of the work – the necessity of implementing the suggested security model for the cloud computing environments as well as protecting the data and enhancing the level of trust in cloud solutions is stated. Homomorphic encryption promises to enable secure calculations on encrypted data without the need for decryption, particularly for cloud-based operations. To evaluate the effectiveness and applicability of several homomorphic encryption algorithms for safe cloud computing, we compare and contrast them in this research paper. Partially homomorphic encryption (PHE), somewhat homomorphic encryption (SHE), and fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) are the three basic homomorphic encryption subtypes that we examine. The implications of this study can aid cloud service providers and organizations in selecting the most appropriate homomorphic encryption scheme based on their specific security requirements and performance considerations. The research contributes to the ongoing efforts to enhance data privacy in cloud computing environments, opening new possibilities for secure data processing in an increasingly connected digital world. The exploration of homomorphic encryption schemes in this study opens new avenues for research and development in the field of cryptographic techniques. As technology continues to evolve, so too must our approaches to safeguarding data. A Review of Encryption Algorithms for Enhancing Data Security in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is one of the most rapidly evolving technologies today; it provides numerous advantages that increase its affordability and dependability for use in the company. This paper goes over the concepts of cloud computing, such as its characteristics, deployment model, and service model, discusses the various benefits of cloud computing, and highlights the most pressing issues and security concerns in cloud storage. As a consequence, that leads to a review of distinctive cryptography algorithms that meet the security requirements (CIA: confidentiality, integrity, and availability) that are used to secure communications in cloud computing situations. It also displays many algorithms depending on the previous studies, such as Blowfish, RSA, DES, AES, MD5, Feistel, SP, HIGHT, LED, Cybpher, PRESENT, RC6, Diamond2, mCrypton, SLIM, Klein, PUFFIN-2, SEA, CLEFIA, LBlock, TWINE, 2, ANU, ANU-II, NLBSIT, Piccolo, BORON, RECTANGLE, LICI, QTL, LOGIC, TRIVIUM, Fruit-v2, Fruit-80, A4, the Enocoro family, and Grain family, to make a comparison among them using many measurements. It found that modern and lightweight algorithms are more suitable for use in this field. Furthermore, the purpose of this paper is to make some suggestions for improving the safety and security of cloud computing technologies.

A paradigm shift in education: Prospects and recommendations for schools in 2030

The interest of this study is borne out of an attempt to investigate the drastic change that technology has brought to the instructional core. The future of schools is exponentially upgrading through the integration of sophisticated educational systems that appear to create a whole new trajectory for all education stakeholders. Instruction will be adaptive and assessment will be real-time. In this profound and complex scenario, current schools will no longer be the epicenters of knowledge as AI-powered educational tools will hegemonize and remarkably offer extraordinarily enticing adaptive learning opportunities through smart classrooms and other technological trends and patterns, such as Cloud Computing (connectivity and data security) and the Internet of Things (IoT) (intelligent whiteboards). Needless to say, technology enhanced learning will unequivocally become the pinnacle of education. Therefore, many educators will have to expand their instructional technology to rise to the occasion.

Machine learning-enhanced hybrid cryptography and image steganography algorithm for securing cloud data

Ensuring data security in cloud computing is crucial due to the growing reliance on cloud-based services. Hybrid cryptography and image steganography have emerged as robust techniques to enhance data confidentiality in the cloud. In this research paper, we propose a novel algorithm, “Machine Learning-Enhanced Hybrid Cryptography and Image Steganography,” integrating these methods to provide comprehensive data protection. The algorithm employs key generation, encryption, steganography, cloud storage, data retrieval, and machine learning-based attack detection to defend against advanced cyber threats. Our experimentation demonstrates the algorithm’s effectiveness in detecting DoS attacks, data breaches, and data leakage attempts using SVM, Neural Network, Isolation Forest, and Random Forest models. The proposed approach offers broad applicability, fortifying data security and fostering further advancements in cloud security research.

Cryptographic Solutions for Data Security in Cloud Computing:

Due to the recent explosion in the amount of data being created by various social media platforms, e-commerce websites, and other businesses, a paradigm shift from on-site data centers to the cloud is required. Concerns about privacy and secrecy have been a major obstacle to the mainstream adoption of cloud computing. The best approach to protect the confidentiality and privacy of cloud data is by using cryptographic techniques. Researchers have developed several cryptographic algorithms, but they all have lengthy, linear, predictable, memory-intensive execution times. The performance of the CPU, memory, run-time trend, and throughput of the three cryptographic schemes: Enhanced RSA (ERSA), Non-Deterministic Cryptographic Scheme (NCS), and Enhanced Homomorphic Scheme (EHS) are compared using RAsys. The experiment’s results demonstrated that NCS and EHS produced non-linear and non-deterministic run times. Again, NCS and EHS produced the lowest throughput and memory consumption for text and numeric data types when data sizes of 5n*102(KB(∈1,2,4,10,20,40) were processed. However, ERSA produced a run-time trend that was deterministic, linear, and predictable

An Approach of Privacy Preservation and Data Security in Cloud Computing for Secured Data Sharing

Introduction: Cloud computing has revolutionized how individuals and businesses engage with data and software, turning the internet into a powerful computing platform by centralizing resources. Despite its benefits, there's a challenge in safeguarding sensitive information stored externally. Cryptography faces threats, particularly chosen-ciphertext attacks aiming for secret keys or system information. While more common in public-key encryption, these attacks are less frequent in symmetrically coded systems. Security efforts include validating system resilience and continuous improvement, which are vital in countering evolving threats like adaptive chosen ciphertext attacks. Method: In the evaluation model, stringent measures emphasize robust encryption for system security. Despite the planning, no ciphertext attack guarantees success, necessitating adaptive security protocols. Adaptive attacks like CCA2 expose vulnerabilities, enabling attackers to manipulate ciphertexts persistently. Result: We observe an average gain of 65% for the decryption algorithm. Efforts focus on strengthening security. The flawed 32-bit key-based encryption in the modified Cramer-Shoup structure undergoes remediation. Conclusion: Conventional uncertainties validate resilience, emphasizing continuous evaluation and enhancement to counter evolving threats.

RSA and AES Based Hybrid Encryption Technique for Enhancing Data Security in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing security has become the most crucial problem in its growth. Encryption has been developed as a solution and plays a vital role in the security of information systems in cloud computing. Many methods are required to secure the shared data. The advanced internet, networking firms, health information, and cloud applications have significantly increased our data every minute. The current work focuses on cryptography to protect sensitive data exchanged between personal users, companies, organizations, or in the cloud applications and others during data transfer across the network. Firstly, data sent from the sender to the network receiver must be encrypted using the cryptographic algorithm. Secondly, the recipient shows the original data using the decryption technique. In this paper, we have proposed a model to use a hybrid encryption and decryption process based on AES-128 and the RSA algorithm. Furthermore, we used the HMAC algorithm to ensure the integrity and authenticity of data. Our experiment work has been done to explain the time required and throughput for encryption and decryption of three encrypting algorithms, AES, RSA, and hybrid algorithms, based on different data sizes, and their efficiency is compared. The results of the experiments show that the hybrid algorithm is better in terms of security.

<p>Cloud computing has spread widely among different organizations due to its advantages, such as cost reduction, resource pooling, broad network access, and ease of administration. It increases the abilities of physical resources by optimizing shared use. Clients’ valuable items (data and applications) are moved outside of regulatory supervision in a shared environment where many clients are grouped together. However, this process poses security concerns, such as sensitive information theft and personally identifiable data leakage. Many researchers have contributed to reducing the problem of data security in cloud computing by developing a variety of technologies to secure cloud data, including encryption. In this study, a set of encryption algorithms (advance encryption standard (AES), data encryption standard (DES), Blowfish, Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) encryption, and international data encryption algorithm (IDEA) was compared in terms of security, data encipherment capacity, memory usage, and encipherment time to determine the optimal algorithm for securing cloud information from hackers. Results show that RSA and IDEA are less secure than AES, Blowfish, and DES). The AES algorithm encrypts a huge amount of data, takes the least encipherment time, and is faster than other algorithms, and the Blowfish algorithm requires the least amount of memory space.</p>

Cloud services began to gain popularity in 2009, and the demand for them has grown exponentially every year. They became especially popular during the pandemic in 2019, when people had to stay at home without interrupting their work processes, and now, in post-covid times, they also remain popular due to their convenience, high availability, easy scalability and cost savings. Due to the widespread use of cloud computing services, a high level of security is required. Unfortunately, the popularity of cloud computing has its drawbacks – in addition to the fact that it is more difficult to monitor the security of a remote environment than the security of a local computer, there are many other threats. In today's reality, people use cloud computing technologies in large volumes, for example, at work, for personal purposes, etc., as they have great trust in these technologies. This is the reason why it is necessary to maintain a high level of security and constantly improve it. Cloud computing security threats are usually divided into confidentiality, integrity, and availability threats. To prevent the loss of confidential information, service providers must ensure its integrity. Users want to be sure that their data will not fall into the hands of an intruder or third-party services. Therefore, this article discusses the most common threats to data security and integrity in cloud computing and the existing methods that prevent these vulnerabilities and possible problems at different levels and with the help of different tools.
