The purpose of this study is to identify university students' perceptions and needs regarding the operation of metaverse-linked career courses and generate basic data for improving and upgrading the operation of university career courses. For this purpose, this study conducted a survey targeting 176 university students. The research results are as follows. First, university students expressed a relatively positive perception of metaverse-linked career courses, and their experience in taking related courses had a positive effect on their preference for the course and their intention to take it. Second, university students preferred small group classes for class support for operating metaverse-linked career courses and highly recognized the need for the basic functions and information functions of cyber lectures. Third, as a result of comparing the importance recognition of learner usage ability and instructor usage ability for operating metaverse-linked career courses, university students perceived the importance of instructor usage ability to be higher than learner usage ability.
