In modern society, the exposure of bodies and standards that are unattainable for most of the population has become increasingly common, both for women and men. These patterns intensified over time and caused disorders that are commonly seen today. In the context of the disorders observed, it can be seen that, among men, there is a greater lack in assessment and diagnosis, meaning that due importance is not given to this issue. In this scenario, the study was designed with the objective of analyzing and comparing the EAT-26 diagnostic method with more current and specific questions, through a questionnaire formulated by the authors and sent to male students at Universidade Cesumar (UniCesumar). According to the results obtained, it was possible to observe that there is still a gap in diagnosis for male patients, and there is still great difficulty in carrying out field researches, as there was a lack of adherence to the questionnaire applied. The responses were analyzed, proving the ineffectiveness of the EAT-26 method nowadays and the need to develop a new method that can cover the difficulties currently faced.
