Epistimologi Sebagai Landasan Metodologi Ilmiah untuk Pengembangan Teori Baru Bidang Manajemen Pendidikan Islam

This study aims to identify and analyze the relationship between Islamic epistemology and scientific methodology in the context of Islamic education. This study uses a literature review methodology, data collection through in-depth examination of relevant and credible sources, such as scientific journals, academic books, research articles, and other related documents that support the research topic. The data collection technique involves systematically filtering the literature based on specific criteria, including topic relevance, source credibility, and year of publication, to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the data. This analytical process helps in developing a comprehensive conceptual framework and building strong arguments for interpreting the research findings. The results of the analysis show that epistemology plays an important role in the development of new theories in the field of Islamic education management. Islamic epistemology, which combines revelation and reason, provides a solid foundation for a scientific methodology that is in line with Islamic values. In addition, an epistemological approach can also help to address the challenges in Islamic education management in the modern era by providing an ethical and adaptive framework

Identifikasi Source Credibility, Homophily dan Content Quality dari Konsumen Produk Fashion dalam Perilakunya di Media Sosial

This study aims to examine the effect of social media interaction on purchase intention through several factors, namely source credibility, homophily, and content quality on Erigo local fashion products. The population in this study are people Yogyakarta who actively use Instagram social media and are familiar with Erigo products aged less than 20 years to 40 years and over who live in Yogyakarta. The research sample used in this study was 234 respondents obtained through an online survey and analyzed using Smart PLS software with the PLS-SEM method. Based on the results, it is known that social media interaction has a positive effect on source credibility, homophily, and content quality. Homophily and content quality have a positive effect on purchase intention. However, source credibility has a negative effect on purchase intention. Through this study, it is hoped that it can add to the marketing literature on purchase intentions through interactions that occur on social media and. This study also recommends that marketers pay attention to factors that can influence consumers in making purchasing decisions.

The Effects of SMIs’ Source Credibility on Consumers’ Intention to Purchase Local Cosmetic Products Through Attitude Towards Advertisements

The global influencer marketing industry, valued at USD 21.1 billion in 2023, has gained immense relevance for businesses, with Social Media Influencers (SMI) playing a pivotal role in marketing activities. In the competitive Malaysian local cosmetic industry, leveraging SMIs is particularly promising, given their substantial influence on consumer buying behaviour due to their credibility traits. By extending Ohanian’s (year) seminal 3-dimensional source credibility model, this research employs a 4-dimensional framework tailored to the context of SMIs. Through the purposive sampling technique, this study managed to collect 164 responses via self-administered questionnaires among young adults in the age range of 18–34 years old. Data were analysed using the structural equation modelling-partial least squares (PLS-SEM) method. Findings from this research suggest that SMIs’ trustworthiness and attractiveness affect consumers’ purchase intention through the mediating effects of attitude towards advertisements, while expertise and similarity do not. Essentially, the findings from this study contribute to the existing literature on SMIs’ credibility traits, offering valuable insights for local cosmetic industry stakeholders in their selection for product endorsements.

Effects of heuristic and systematic cues on perceived content credibility of Sina Weibo influencers: the moderating role of involvement

The present study enhances our understanding of followers’ perceptions of the information credibility of Chinese social media influencers. Employing the heuristic-systematic model, we examined the influence of source credibility and argument quality on the content credibility of micro-influencers and their relational impact on followers’ attitudes and behavioural decisions, with involvement as a moderator. Chinese respondents who follow beauty influencers on Sina Weibo were targeted. The respondents were contacted by posting a web link on WeChat to the survey created on Sojump. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the relationship between variables. The results revealed that argument quality (i.e. systematic cue) and source credibility (i.e. heuristic cue) are significantly affect the information credibility perceived by consumers. The findings also indicate that perceived information credibility has a significant impact on brand/video attitude and purchase intention. There are notable theoretical extensions to the literature on information processing, attitude and consumer behaviour.

Fashion influencers’ credibility on Instagram: the stimulus–organism–response (SOR) perspective

ABSTRACT Fashion brands’ campaigns on social media typically rely on official brands’ accounts and influencers’ accounts. Drawing on S-O-R model, the current study examined how source credibility (expertise, trustworthiness, and similarity) and parasocial relationship influence marketing effectiveness of social media influencers. To test hypotheses, this study collected 232 samples and applied survey method to address the impact of marketing effectiveness on expertise, trustworthiness, and similarity of social media influencers. The findings indicated that influencers with high credibility were found to be positively related to advertising attitude and self-brand connection, which may be more effective in marketing effectiveness than those with low source credibility. Additionally, parasocial relationships were found to moderate the effect of influencers’ credibility on self-brand connection, but not on advertising attitude. Overall, this research investigated the efficacy of fashion Instagram influencers in marketing by considering the factors of source credibility and parasocial relationship. Incorporating these dimensions can lead to more accurate predictions of consumer behavior and improved strategies for fashion brand management. The findings provide practical implications for fashion brands in selecting appropriate influencers and developing effective social media marketing strategies, particularly in understanding how influencer credibility affects consumer behavior.

Analisis Komunikasi Kader Posyandu Dahlia dalam Menyampaikan Informasi Kesehatan Anak di Total Persada Kota Tangerang

Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) is part of a government program that is integrated between the community, government, and the private sector. Based on that, cadres have an important role in the success of a Posyandu, therefore researchers are interested in examining the credibility of communicators in this case the Dahlia Posyandu cadres in conveying information about children's health. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with the theory of source credibility. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, documentation. The results of the study showed that the Dahlia Posyandu communicators have good skills, this can be seen from the knowledge possessed by the Dahlia Posyandu cadres regarding child health and the clarity of the information conveyed. Furthermore, the results of the study showed that the Dahlia Posyandu communicators are trustworthy, this can be seen from the information conveyed regarding child health to the community. Meanwhile, the Dahlia Posyandu cadres are quite attractive, this can be seen from the Dahlia Posyandu cadres being kind and being able to establish familiarity with the community who come to the Dahlia Posyandu.

Interactive Videos as Effective Tools for Media Literacy Education in Communication and Media Courses

The vast amount of audiovisual and multimedia content that is currently delivered via multiple ways and platforms makes media literacy imperative to enhance citizens’ ability to assess the credibility and trustworthiness of media sources. By recognizing bias and misinformation and understanding the impact the media can have on individuals and society, media literate citizens are better equipped to analyze the information they receive, thus presenting critical thinking. This paper, through research conducted among university students that attended the course of “Creative studio and audiovisual productions” at the Department of Communication and Digital Media, University of Western Macedonia, Greece, aims to present the effective use of interactive video production to media literacy. Prior to the beginning of the semester, the students were asked to state, among other things, their knowledge of media literacy, their digital literacy levels, and their skills level on various forms of video productions. At the end of the semester, they were asked to assess the knowledge and skills acquired through the process of creating an interactive video production on media literacy. The results revealed that through this project that brought them enjoyment, they gained knowledge, and they highly valued the role of interactive videos as communication tools.

Agents of Change or Counterarguing? Investigating the Source Credibility of Celebrity Versus Traditional Experts on Health and Political Behaviors

Two online experimental studies ( nstudy1 = 318, nstudy2 = 462) were conducted to examine whether social media informant type (celebrity influencer vs. expert) and presentation type (numeric vs. generic information) influenced behavioral intentions. Results from Study 1 found that expert-authored posts with numeric information were more persuasive for credibility assessments and, in turn, intentions to obtain the COVID-19 booster vaccine. In Study 2, we retest our hypotheses in the context of support for police reform. Contrary to expectations, neither message manipulation persuaded individuals. Partisanship, however, played a key role in behavioral intentions.

The role of online consumer reviews in shaping Chinese consumers' purchase intentions for energy-saving household appliances: a social communication theory perspective

With the primary sales channels for home appliances in China shifting from offline to online, e-commerce platforms hold significant potential to promote the purchase of energy-saving appliances. Therefore, this study investigates the factors influencing consumers' intentions to purchase energy-saving appliances in the context of online review interactions. Based on social communication theory, we identified four key elements in online review communication: information quality, information quantity, source credibility, and consumer attitudes toward online review. Additionally, we analyzed the mediating role of perceived information usefulness and the moderating role of consumer information processing capability. Data were gathered by using a structured questionnaire, and the respondents are comprised of consumers with experience purchasing energy-saving home appliances online., PLS-SEM was employed for the analysis of data. The findings suggest that the quality, quantity, and source credibility of online reviews, as well as consumers' attitudes towards online reviews, directly influence customers’ purchase intentions for energy-saving appliances. Moreover, a review of quantity and consumer attitudes impacts purchase intention through the perceived information usefulness. The moderating effect of consumers' information processing capability on the relationship between online reviews and perceived information usefulness is also confirmed. The results of the study explain the formation mechanism of consumers' willingness to buy energy-saving home appliances from the perspective of information dissemination, which offers valuable insights for e-commerce platforms and online marketers aiming to comprehend consumers' decision-making processes.

A Survey on Recommender Systems Using Graph Neural Network

The expansion of the Internet has resulted in a change in the flow of information. With the vast amount of digital information generated online, it is easy for users to feel overwhelmed. Finding the specific information can be a challenge, and it can be difficult to distinguish credible sources from unreliable ones. This has made recommender system (RS) an integral part of the information services framework. These systems alleviate users from information overload by analyzing users’ past preferences and directing only desirable information toward users. Traditional RSs use approaches like collaborative and content-based filtering to generate recommendations. Recently, these systems have evolved to a whole new level, intuitively optimizing recommendations using deep network models. graph neural networks (GNNs) have become one of the most widely used approaches in RSs, capturing complex relationships between users and items using graphs. In this survey, we provide a literature review of the latest research efforts done on GNN-based RSs. We present an overview of RS, discuss its generalized pipeline and evolution with changing learning approaches. Furthermore, we explore basic GNN architecture and its variants used in RSs, their applications, and some critical challenges for future research.

The significance of witness testimony in the investigation of criminal offenses

The scientific article examines the institution of witness testimony in the process of investigating criminal offenses. A topical issue is the role of witnesses in criminal proceedings as a key source of information that can significantly influence the establishment of the truth. The scientific article is devoted to the problems that arise when obtaining and using witness statements, in particular, their reliability and, accordingly, admissibility, the influence of external pressure and other participants in the proceedings or officials, as well as the possibility of distortion of information, unreliability of data. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the legal confirmation of evidence in the protocol, which is important to ensure the acceptance of this evidence. The rights and obligations of the witness are investigated before the interrogation begins and such results are recorded in the protocol. An appropriate source of accurate recording of the testimony of a witness is audio recording or video recording, and the use of information technology during interrogation is a certain deterrent to the provision of reliable information by witnesses. The testimony of persons in criminal proceedings is recorded in a protocol, which has the form defined by the criminal procedure law and is a mandatory document. In the interrogation protocol itself, it is indicated that the witness was warned about giving false testimony and refusing to testify. At the same time, witnesses have the right not to testify against their relatives. The interrogation protocol has a clearly defined structure, mandatory requisites for filling it out, during the interrogation the witness has the right to use the legal assistance of a lawyer. An important procedural activity is the assessment of the credibility of witness statements and other procedural sources of evidence, which is carried out by the investigator, prosecutor, investigating judge, court on the basis of the law and within the limits of their procedural powers. The main properties of the testimony of a witness, the totality of which forms the content of this type of evidence: the information is an oral or written message; the source of information is a person granted the procedural status of a witness; the information is important for this criminal proceeding; compliance with the requirements of the legislation is ensured when receiving and processing information.

Women's empowerment model in treatment of pregnant women at risk of anemia in Indonesia: Literature review

Anemia in pregnancy has remained a major problem in Indonesia over the past decade. The women's empowerment model in the health sector can be a solution to the problem of pregnant women who are at risk of anemia and towards accelerating the SDGs achievement target in the third "Decade of Action" goal in 2030. Objective: to find out the evidence based on the women's empowerment model in handling pregnant women at risk of anemia in Indonesia. Method: Literature review search usingarticle 2014-2024 withdatabase (pubmed, sciencedirect, and google scholar) relevant to the keywords used maternity; obstetrics and pregnancy; women's empowerment; prevention; anemia. There were 10 articles used in this study which will then be extracted data, as well as compiled, summarized and reported the results. Results: The study showed that the women's empowerment model of knowledge, attitudes, family and community roles, diet, health services and health worker professionalism is effective in handling mothers at risk of anemia.Conclusion: The importance of p supportgovernment andmidwife in givingquality midwifery services, access to credible sources of information, and encouraging the involvement of women, families and communities to realize women's health and well-being globally.

Anger expressions and coercive credibility in international crises

AbstractWhy are some threats more credible than others? I argue that leaders’ anger expressions are a previously underappreciated source of coercive credibility. Specifically, leaders who express anger appear more credible because targets believe they are less sensitive to the costs of conflict. I test this argument through quantitative analysis of a novel dataset of world leaders’ public statements in crises from 1946 to 1996 and a U.S.‐based survey experiment designed to test the mechanism. The observational evidence reveals that anger expressions increase the likelihood a threat will succeed. The experiment shows that anger expressions cause targets to infer greater resolve and that non‐angry threats carry little credibility—and might even backfire. These findings not only shed light on a unique source of threat credibility but also highlight the crucial role of emotions in international relations with new data measuring political leaders’ emotional expressions over time and space.

Ted Lasso tackles mental health: entertainment, celebrity advocacy, and variation in source evaluations

ABSTRACT What type of media content resonates most for viewers when it comes to the stigma surrounding mental health treatment: (1) fictional narrative or (2) celebrity issue advocacy? Analyzing experimental data from a June 2023 study (N = 322), the research examines the differential impact of exposure to entertainment content from Ted Lasso vs. celebrity issue advocacy efforts by cast members at the White House in March 2023 on perceptions of source liking and source credibility. The results suggest that Ted Lasso viewers have higher levels of source liking for entertainment content while those who have had social contact with someone seeking mental health treatment are more receptive to celebrity issue advocacy efforts. The implications of the findings and their impact on strategic messaging surrounding the issue of mental health treatment and the reduction of stigma are discussed.

Health Volunteers and E-Booklet Impact on Knowledge and Treatment Adherence in Hypertension Patient

Hypertension is a disease with a global prevalence of 1.3 billion cases in 2019, which is the leading cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia is 34.1% among the adult population, with a mortality rate of 427,218. The failure of hypertension patient management is mostly due to a lack of awareness of the importance of adherence to hypertension treatment and a lack of knowledge. This study aims to determine the effect of health education by health volunteers using e-booklet on the knowledge and adherence to treatment of hypertensive patients at Batujajar Health Center area. This study used a quasi-experimental design with intervention and control groups. The sample in this study consisted of 32 respondents, who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that health education by health volunteers using e-booklet significantly increased the mean knowledge of hypertensive patients, with the mean value of knowledge rising from 75.6 to 86.8 after the intervention. Patients' adherence to treatment also increased, with the mean value rising from 4.4 to 6. The results showed a significant positive effect on both variables, with a p-value of 0.016 for knowledge and 0.001 for treatment adherence, respectively. Based on the findings, health education conducted by health volunteers using e-booklets significantly impacts the knowledge and medication adherence of hypertension patients in the Batujajar Health Center area. It is recommended that health volunteer training be conducted periodically by healthcare professional and that the e-booklet be utilized as an educational tool at the health center and as a credible reference source for the community.

Tensor-based analysis of eclectic-reported crowd accidents: An innovative retrospective methodology design study

IntroductionAnalysis of crowd accidents contributes to accident prevention. Therefore, we employ a tensor-based approach. The innovative tensor-based approach facilitates the streamlining of longitudinal studies, promotes error detection, and enhances the transparency and traceability of data collection. This study focuses on crowd accidents, the direct cause of which is the movement of the crowd (Excluding other external factors: e.g. fire, structural damage.). It aims at investigating the reliability of the records documented in relation to crowd accidents and the type of repetitions that can be found in the events. Materials and methodsThe study employed a web-based retrospective methodology with innovative tensor-based analysis, examining 186 fatal crowd accidents from 1979 to 2023. Data was collected from public sources, including news reports, government reports, and scientific publications. The analysis considered the following variables: event type, place, date, number of victims, cause, environmental characteristics, date and reliability of documented information source origination. Tensor-based method combines the improvement of the quality of the coverage and investigates changes in content over time. The seven-step method, which stores information about crowd accidents in matrices, is presented here in detail. The vcr factor is introduced to evaluate the credibility of sources. ResultsThe results show that those news items about crowd accidents are the most reliable which were created 2 years after the events. Crowd accidents are analyzed based on their influencing defining characteristics. We claim that we were able to isolate new risk factors related to the locations of crowd accidents. Globally, we focus on accidents that occurred during donation distributions and when entering buildings. ConclusionIt can be concluded that the new, seven-step, tensor-based data collection method improves the credibility value of individual information by more than 25 %. The impact of accident factors plays a key role in establishing risk factors and in the prevention of accidents. The tensor-based approach can be directly applied to record databases, enhance data provenance, and capture the temporal evolution of information.

Enhancing Speaker Credibility: Looking to Critical Literacy’s “Power” Through Strategic Presentation Skills

The concept of speaker credibility is proposed as mitigation to address two issues of confidence and anxiety, and gender differences, gathered from anecdotal feedback of business communication students. This article reviews the definition of speaker credibility and draws on two components—presentation skills and power—from Kenton’s source credibility model. It then discusses the two issues of confidence and anxiety, and gender differences. A speaker credibility framework is outlined from reviewing research on three specific presentation skills and proposing power from Janks’s critical literacy. Limitations and future research include testing the framework’s validity discussed at the end.

Examining Community Preferences for Adaption and Dissemination of an Efficacious Brief Intervention on Alcohol Use and Sexual Behavior

Compared to other age groups, 18- to 25-year olds (young adults) are more likely to engage in heavy alcohol use and inconsistent contraceptive use, increasing their susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancy. The Studying Alcohol and Related Risks (STARR) intervention was efficacious in reducing young adult alcohol-related risky sexual behavior, including reducing the number of casual sexual partners and alcohol use prior to sex. We conducted a qualitative study to guide the adaptation of the STARR intervention to include additional content on contraceptive use and prepare for dissemination of the intervention to a community audience. We conducted 10 focus groups with young adults (n = 16) and semistructured interviews with local community stakeholders (n = 12) to examine: (a) intervention characteristics, such as compatibility, adaptability, and design and packaging and (b) dissemination and communication channels. Focus groups and interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed, and thematically analyzed. Participants found the proposed intervention acceptable and highlighted the need to promote STI prevention among young adults. Participants viewed text-based interventions as accessible and effective. Key considerations included developing personalized messages from credible sources, using gender-inclusive language, and sending messages at strategic timepoints. Social media (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok), events, and campus resources were described as avenues to create awareness and disseminate information about the proposed intervention. Findings demonstrate the need for innovative and tailored young adult health programs that incorporate multilevel dissemination strategies. This study highlights the need for implementation activities that will improve the adoption and dissemination of evidence-based programs, particularly among young adults.

Qualitative Study of Sukuk as an Alternative Sharia Financing and Its Impact on Economic Growth in Indonesia

This study aims to explore the role of sukuk as an alternative form of sharia financing in promoting economic growth in Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature review and relevant data from credible sources, such as the recapitulation of the sharia stock index presented by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Findings indicate that the role of sharia bonds, specifically sukuk, has experienced substantial growth in Indonesia between 2000 and 2024. Sukuk plays a critical role in enhancing the national economy and improving public welfare. The market has demonstrated a high level of responsiveness to sukuk issuance, with almost all issued sukuk being fully absorbed, often with demand exceeding supply. To harness the potential of sukuk for broader economic benefits, it is crucial to undertake strategic steps, including public awareness campaigns to educate the wider community about the benefits and opportunities provided by sukuk as a sharia-compliant investment instrument. Increasing public understanding of sukuk will further support sustainable economic development and financial inclusion in Indonesia.

Users' Willingness to Adopt Health Information in WeChat Public Platform of China.

WeChat public platform has become an important source for the public to obtain health information. We aimed to explore the key factors affecting users' willingness to adopt health information and their action mechanisms. From April 2023 to May 2023, the users of WeChat public platforms were surveyed via online questionnaires, and the factors influencing users' willingness to adopt health information and their action mechanisms were analyzed using quantitative statistics and structural equation model (SEM). The influencing factors of users' willingness to adopt health information in WeChat public platforms could be divided into the following three dimensions: health belief, information, and platform. Perceived benefits, perceived threats, information quality, source credibility, and platform atmosphere all have significantly positive effects on information adoption willingness. Among them, information quality also positively affects users' perceived benefits; perceived barriers negatively affect the willingness to adopt information. Through the analysis of the influencing factors of users' willingness to adopt health information in WeChat public platforms, it could provide reference for enhancing the public health information service capability of WeChat public platforms and elevating the health self-management level of the public.
