Проблема преступности в творчестве польских и грузинских прозаиков II половины XIX века (Генрик Сенкевич и Эгнате Ниношвили)

This paper discusses the theme of crime as depicted in the works of Polish literary classic Henryk Sienkiewicz and the prominent representative of Georgian critical realism in the late 19th century, Egnate Ninoshvili. The name Ninoshvili is introduced for the first time into the study of Polish–Georgian literary relations. According to the author, several of Ninoshvili’s short stories on peasant life (“Simona”, “The Scribe Mose”, and “The Knight of Our Country”) were written under the ideological and thematic influence of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s short story „Charcoal Sketches” („Szkice węglem”). The stylistic analysis of the works by these Georgian and Polish writers supports the author’s hypothesis regarding this influence. At the same time, the study highlights the artistic originality of Ninoshvili’s stories, particularly in their depiction of national traditions, the Georgian national mentality, and the author’s unique creative perspective.

Theoretical investigations on exploring Si-based heterostructures with cubic and ground-state perovskites

First principles calculations in the framework of density functional theory (DFT) are performed to exploit replaceable perovskite oxides against the instability of traditional cubic SrTiO3 grown on silicon substrate. In this work, we consider more thermostable CaTiO3 and CaZrO3 with cubic and ground-state phase as the candidates to perform the gate dielectric. After the calibration of total energy and lattice transformation of ground-state perovskites to match with Si substrate, three categories of 2 × 2 heterostructures have been constructed and investigated through the geometrical change, atom displacement around interfacial layer, total energy and electronic structure change, under the variations on perovskite species, the concentration of interfacial layer and the thickness of perovskite film. And the results demonstrate that the category with half a monolayer of Ca/Sr atoms in interfacial layer and two unit-cell perovskite thicknesses show the type-I band alignment through their band alignment. Among this category, the heterostructure with Pnma CaZrO3 shows semiconductivity and excellent electrical property with larger band offset for the candidate of gate dielectric. This work provides a creative perspective to expand the perovskite diversity for the booming growth of integrated circuit technology.

SOME GENRES AND FORMS OF EARLY MUSIC IN MODERN DOMESTIC PRACTICE

The presented scientific research analyzes the performance activities of contemporary artists specializing in harpsichord art at relevant festivals, among which the powerful annual Bach-fest (Sumy) and the Festival of Early Music in Lviv stand out. Throughout its history, the Bach-fest (Sumy) has brought together Ukrainian performers and leading artists from various countries in Europe, America, and Asia. This festival is practically a peer of the Ukrainian harpsichord school, with many musicians from Kyiv and Lviv honing their skills by performing on its stages and participating in its masterclasses. In turn, the Festival of Early Music in Lviv almost immediately became a creative platform for the establishment and development of historically informed performance in Ukraine. These musical meetings of like-minded individuals have become a point of intersection between the European and Ukrainian harpsichord schools, promoting active professional contacts among early music performers. It should be noted that the scholarly comprehension and artistic exploration of the genre panorama of Baroque keyboard music opens new creative perspectives for Ukrainian musicians.

Sub−1 nm Nanowire Aerogels

AbstractThe emerging sub−1 nm nanowires (SNWs) have received tremendous attention given their intriguing properties and broad applications attributable to their ultrasmall feature size. However, applying SNWs in microstructure‐preserving macroscopic functional materials (e.g., aerogels) remains challenging because the solvents used for preparing SNWs are not compatible with conventional supercritical drying or freeze‐drying techniques. In this study, the fabrication of SNW aerogels (SNWAs) is pioneered by developing a nonpolar solvent‐based freeze‐casting strategy. Cyclohexane, a nonpolar solvent with a freezing point (6.5 °C) comparable to that of water, is selected as a reaction and drying medium to assemble various SNWs. The resulting self‐standing SNWAs display low density, excellent hydrophobicity and lipophilicity, and tunable luminescent color. This strategy not only introduces a new aggregation form of SNWs but also provides a creative perspective on synthesizing aerogel structures from sub−1 nm building blocks.

Should We Defund the National Health Service?

Despite record investment in Scotland's National Health Service, ever-increasing numbers of people remain in hospital despite being clinically fit for discharge. This paper curiously explores two of the whole-system problems ensuring discharges are delayed and argues that greater investment in, and contractual changes to, social care commissioning is required to support more people to live their best lives in their own homes. A more creative perspective is required to ensure better outcomes for the population.

MgSiO3 Fiber Membrane Scaffold with Triggered Drug Delivery for Osteosarcoma Synergetic Therapy and Bone Regeneration.

In this research, a novel MgSiO3 fiber membrane (MSFM) loaded with indocyanine green (ICG) and doxorubicin (DOX) was prepared. Because of MgSiO3's unique lamellar structure composed of a silicon-oxygen tetrahedron, magnesium ion (Mg2+) moves easily and can be further replaced with other cations. Therefore, because of the positively charged functional group of ICG, MSFM has a rather high drug loading for ICG. In addition, there is electrostatic attraction between DOX (a cationic drug) and ICG (an anionic drug). Hence, after loading ICG, more DOX can be adsorbed into MSFM because of electrostatic interaction. The ICG endows the MSFM outstanding photothermal therapy (PTT) performance, and DOX as a chemotherapeutic drug can restrain tumor growth. On the one hand, H+ exchanged with the positively charged DOX based on the MgSiO3 special lamellar structure. On the other hand, the thermal effect could break the electrostatic interaction between ICG and DOX. Based on the above two points, both tumor acidic microenvironment and photothermal effect can trigger DOX release. What's more, in vitro and in vivo antiosteosarcoma therapy evaluations displayed a superior synergetic PTT-chemotherapy anticancer treatment and excellent biocompatibility of DOX&ICG-MSFM. Finally, the MSFM was proven to greatly promote cell proliferation, differentiation, and bone regeneration performance in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, MSFM provides a creative perspective in the design of multifunctional scaffolds and shows promising applications in controlled drug delivery, antitumor performance, and osteogenesis.

Development of ‘Creative Thinking: Case Study of Basic Design Studio

Architecture is a creative ‘Art of understanding’ as it reconciles the various aspects of place and culture, aesthetics and techniques and different materials. Architecture manages the beauty and aesthetics on one hand and the utilitarian aspects on the other. This balance requires a lot of creative exploration. Basic design studio is a cradle in imbibing this creative perspective in the new learner in architecture education. This studio plays a formative role in molding the students’ perception of architecture. The students not only get hands on experience but inculcates the trait of ‘Creative Thinking’. Basic design subject gets the students acquainted with not just architectural vocabulary but the ‘Principles of design’ which forms the basis of any design conception. The articulation of the elements of design like lines, planes, solids in two- dimensional and three-dimensional forms along with the use of different mediums, materials, and techniques through the principles of design aids them in the process of thinking creatively. The paper aims to understand and analyze the extent of assimilation of ‘Creative thinking’ in Basic Design studio (Subject code-102- Allied design studio) for 1st year, semester- 2, B. Arch. students at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture, Mumbai University for AY 2021- 22. The methodology adopted for the paper is based on qualitative data elucidating the learnings in the studio based on the development of the ‘Creative thinking’ attribute.

Introduction: towards migration-violence creative pathways

ABSTRACT This introduction to the special issue on ‘Arts-based approaches, migration and violence: intersectional and creative perspectives’ highlights the complexities and paradoxes in relation to existing debates in the field. Drawing on the emerging body of rich work that has recognised the importance of arts-based approaches within research on migration and violence, the introduction provides a critical assessment of the nature of the connections between the two in methodological, empirical and conceptual ways. It explores these intersections across multiple geographical scales, temporalities and imaginations through innovative creative research. In contributing to these debates, the introduction and the papers included in this special issue examine the potential for new insights, understanding and transformations to emerge through engaging with visual, performative, visceral, embodied and collaborative arts-based research. Yet, it also addresses some epistemological and ethical concerns including tensions around participation, positionality, co-production and the decolonisation of research. The introduction also aims to move beyond evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of arts-based approaches and provides a conceptual frame delineated as ‘migration-violence creative pathways’ that emphasise feminist and embodied perspectives. The frame does not prescribe how to engage with the creative arts, but rather encapsulates the variety of ways to do so. Finally, we set out an agenda for future creative research on migration-violence connections that highlights some practical, epistemological and conceptual suggestions for critically and productively engaging with arts-based approaches.

The paper examines the concept of imagination from a creative perspective, focusing on a central question concerning the author's level of control over the imaginative nature of his work. Using a comparative textual analysis approach, the discussion looks at specific writings to find similarities and differences in order to clarify the complex relationship between literature and imagination. The paper is organized into an introduction, two analytical sub-sections titled "Imagination" and "Analytical Imagination," and a conclusion. The introduction included a brief literature review as well as the methodological approach, which guided the main research questions about the relationships between literature and imagination and how those connections affect the interpretation process. It concludes with a reflection on the evolution of the Romantic notion of the poetic imagination in modern times (as envisioned by Pound and Beckett) and establishes a link between Aristotle's Mimesis and the concept of analytical imagination.

AN ANALYSIS OF THE MYTHICAL PATTERNS IN ULYSSES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ARCHETYPE THEORY

As one of the important creative themes of modern literature, mythology is constantly reiterated in the writings of modern writers. Through retelling, we can travel through the time tunnel and feel the poetic wisdom of our ancestors. The inherent characteristic of myth is symbolism, and at the same time, it has strong metaphor and inclusiveness, which has opened up an almost infinite space of meaning for modern writers. Mythology provides rich prototype resources for the plot structure framework of narrative works, and expresses the writer's unique creative perspective and aesthetic awareness. James Joyce was an outstanding modern novelist in the West in the 20th century, and he created unique mythological novels. Ulysses adopts the mythological prototype structure and uses the theme of the ancient hero Odysseus returning home, echoing the deep meaning of modern people's search for a spiritual home. This paper uses the theory of myth-prototype criticism and combines the theory of collective unconsciousness to explore the creation mode of Ulysses from the perspective of mythic archetype criticism, to explain how ancient myths and modern writers have a spiritual fit, and to further feel the uniqueness of Joyce's novels. Some artistic charm and the practical significance brought by Ulysses. Our era needs the spirit of exploration and courage left over from the early days of human society, and the connotation of archetypal criticism has positive ideological value to this day.

A Self-Categorization Perspective of Idiosyncratic Deals and Creativity: Mediating Role of Perceived Insider Status and Moderating Role of Psychological Safety.

Idiosyncratic deals (I-deals), a novel human resource management implement, has significantly contributed to attracting, retaining and motivating personnel to enhance creativity. Building upon self-categorization theory, this study investigates the impact of I-deals on creativity and the moderating role of psychological safety in this process by perceived insider status. To mitigate common method bias and causal lag effects, this study was conducted in three phases with a half-month interval for data collection. In this study, a total of 331 employees from six enterprises in China were selected to test the hypotheses using Bootstrap and Johnson-Neyman methods. Results show that I-deals have a positive influence on creativity. Perceived insider status acts as intermediary between I-deals and creativity; Psychological safety strengthens the influence of I-deals on perceived insider status and further enhances the indirect influence of I-deals on creativity through perceived insider status. This study demonstrates that organizations can leverage the unique characteristics of I-deals to fully showcase the diverse talents of their personnel, while simultaneously enhancing their psychological security. This, in turn, empowers employees to confidently propose new ideas and methods, thus catalyzing the generation of creativity.

Preparation of strong soy protein composite materials with thermal conductivity and biodegradability by constructing nanophase enhanced organic-inorganic hybrid structure

The development of multifunctional films with high strength, biodegradability, and excellent thermal conductivity has drawn increasing interest. In this study, inspired by the unique hybrid structure of oysters, a nanophase-reinforced organic–inorganic hybrid structure was built using polydopamine modified boron nitride (BN@PDA), soy protein isolate (SPI), dialdehyde cellulose (DAC), and polyethylene glycol (PEG) to develop a strong soy protein film with multifunctionalities. The resultant films displayed excellent thermal diffusion ability and exhibited high tensile strength (24.03 MPa) and thermal conductivity (TC, 2.96 W·m−1·K−1) under low BN load (<0.5%). Meanwhile, the formation of non-covalent cross-linking and organic–inorganic hybrid structure endowed the films with superior flexibility. Importantly, owing to the selection of bio-based materials for preparation, the SPI-based films exhibited good biodegradability. It is believed that this study provides a creative perspective for the development of value-added multifunctional film materials and has good application prospects in advanced bio-based thermal conductive materials.

Recent Advances and Prospects of Solution‐Processed Efficient Sb2S3 Solar Cells

AbstractSolar cells comprising earth‐abundant and non‐toxic elements with applicable bandgaps and high absorption coefficients have attracted considerable interest over the past several decades and are important devices for addressing the future demand for clean and renewable energy. Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) crystal material effectively meets these requirements owing to its suitable bandgap, high absorption coefficient, high electron and hole mobilities, earth abundance, and excellent stability. Solution‐processed Sb2S3 films are essential to facilitate the fabrication of low‐cost, large‐scale, and high‐efficiency photovoltaic devices, but suffer from several shortcomings of large intrinsic defects, high interfacial barrier, and atomic mismatch, uncontrollable film thickness, and crystal orientation. In this review, a systematic overview of the fundamental properties of solution‐processed Sb2S3 materials is presented, and then interface engineering, defect passivation and control strategies, crystal orientation and modulation methods, device structure, and the performance of Sb2S3 solar cells are focused, highlighting the primary advancements and major challenges based on this technology. Finally, several creative perspectives and constructive innovation strategies for future research on Sb2S3 photovoltaic devices are provided, indicating a roadmap for the practical application of other inorganic semiconductor heterojunction thin film solar cells.

Environmental Art Design of Tourist Attractions with Regional Culture Fusion and Digital Innovation

Abstract In the rapid development of society, the combination of information technology and scenic environmental art design is getting closer, bringing a new creative perspective and broad space for the design field. This paper explores the integration path of information technology, regional culture and environmental art design based on this trend. It puts forward an innovative optimization strategy of ecological art design for tourist scenic spots and successfully applies it to scenic places. To verify the effectiveness of this design strategy, the article adopts BP neural network model. It combines it with genetic algorithm for deep optimization to enhance the objective evaluation of the design results. It combines the genetic algorithm to optimize it in depth, enhancing the objectivity of evaluating the design results. After rigorous testing and analysis, the design strategy of this paper has achieved remarkable optimization effects in the lighting, ecological and cultural design of the scenic area, especially in the picturesque area of mountain diversity and forest landscape, showing a high degree of diversity, the average value reached 4.75% and 4.75% respectively. At the same time, the average value of the planting proportion of native tree species surpasses 4.6, which proves that the optimized design strategy plays a crucial role in protecting and enhancing the ecology and culture of the scenic spot.

From Lifelong Creativity to Self-Authorship: The Humanistic and Creational Dimension of Women’s Citizenship in Education – Maria Grzegorzewska and Irena Wojnar

The developed issue aimed to search for sources and categories of meanings used to define the essence of citizenship in the context of the adopted humanistic and creative perspective. The research problems concerned the following: 1) the areas of civic activity in the subjective and social dimension of reference; 2) the place of women’s lifelong creativity in the humanistic and creative dimension of citizenship, and 3) the space of transgressive development in women’s lifelong creativity in education. Due to the research problem that arose in the procedure of analysing the lifelong creativity of selected female characters, secondary sources and evidence of their professional work were taken into account. Sources of the interpretation of citizenship were adopted based on Maria Ossowska’s (1946) essay Wzór obywatela w ustroju demokratycznym [The Model of a Citizen in a Democratic System], in which the author distinguished and characterised 13 civic virtues and identified abilities proposed by Charles Taylor (2001). My perspective on interpreting the sources of citizenship combines the humanistic and creative dimensions, an added value contained in the title approach: from lifelong creativity to self-authorship. Self-authorship is understood as the forces of subjectivity, intentionality, the meaning of life and creative adaptation. The lifelong creativity of women in education and their achievements determine their cognitive and social value and emancipatory nature. Women’s lifelong creativity shows the presence of important areas of transgressive development related to the acquisition of knowledge and scientific achievements and the activities carried out in the field of social practice, referred to as (self-)realisation.

A Study on the Problems Faced by Graduates’Employability and Strategies for Improvement

The study of employability in modern societies is important because it concerns individuals, the education system, employers, and society. This article analyzes the employability of graduates from the perspective of soft skills, hard skills, interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and leadership skills. Graduates face numerous issues and challenges in terms of employability. Therefore, schools and educational institutions, governments, and enterprises need to work together to enhance their competitiveness and chances of success in the workplace.

Out of Place: William Connolly, Resounding Events and Stephen Turner, Mad Hazard

This article examines a post-war generation of academics in the United States and in Britain, who, coming from lower-class families without any previous experience of university education, became internationally famous but nevertheless continued to feel out of place in the academic world. Pierre Bourdieu’s framework of habitus, field and doxa is useful in studying the world of such outsiders and exiles who shaped post-war sociology. Without an established canon of sociology, these students typically developed critical and creative perspectives on society. In Britain the post-war welfare state was the foundation of this new breed of academics. John O’Neill is the classic example. In America ‘The Disobedient Generation’ were influenced by race, the Vietnam War, and the draft. William Connolly and Stephen Turner provide two case studies of highly successful academics who were often subjectively outsiders. ‘Event’ and ‘hazard’ imply that successful careers are in fact merely accidental. Neoliberalism may have closed off such accidental careers.

Teacher beliefs about creativity and creative student characteristics: teachers’ perspectives on Turkish gifted students

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the creativity perspectives of teachers of gifted students at primary and middle school levels. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 14 teachers of gifted students. The findings indicate that teachers generally have a limited creativity perspective and emphasize cognitive characteristics more strongly for their creative students. Teachers focused on the person and press (creative environment) dimensions of creativity, but the press remained in the background. Although teachers of gifted students had a general understanding of several of the personality traits, they also expressed contrasting characteristics. Teachers’ beliefs about creativity and characteristics of creative students are also discussed.

Unveiling the underlying cognitive processes of creative idea generation using mobile collaboration platforms

This study examines how an individual cognitively generates creative ideas using mobile collaboration platforms (MCPs). Applying the cognitive creativity perspective and the knowledge of the idiosyncratic capabilities of MCPs, the study proposes a research model that explains MCP-driven creative idea generation mechanisms. The model is validated using a field study where individuals were involved in a group collaboration setting for a cognitively challenging task. The results indicate that the use of an MCP positively supports an individual's creative idea generation process through cognitive warming-up processes (spontaneity effect) and behavioral autonomy (freedom effect).
