Graphical user Interfaces Generation from BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) via IFML (Interaction Flow Modeling Language) up to PSM (Platform Specific Model) Level

The fundamental concept behind the MDA (Model Driven Architecture) approach is the development of many models, first the Computation Independent Model (CIM), then the Platform Independent Model (PIM), and lastly the Platform Specific Model (PSM) for the concrete implementation of the system. Web applications are just one example of customized software that is now being developed at an increasing rate. Interaction Flow Modeling Language (IFML) was developed to represent the front end of any program that necessitates a powerful interaction with a user through the use of an interface, regardless of the technical details of its implementation. There are various modeling tools for IFML; the Webratio tool is an illustration that facilitates the generation of the entire web application. This article discusses the model transformations in the MDA’s approach, starting from the CIM level up to the PSM level through the PIM level. To begin, we created the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and IFML metamodels in Eclipse tool, we created also the BPMN model, and we get the IFML model by applying the shift rules in Atlas Transformation Language (ATL). Finally, we generated the application using a standard tool that implements IFML Webratio tool. A CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) features for the after-sales service case study were provided to illustrate the conversion strategy from the CIM level via the PIM level to the PSM level.

UJI BLACK BOX TES APLIKASI SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM INFORMATION (SODEVI) PT. DIMATA SORA JAYATE MENGGUNAKAN KATALON STUDIO

Software Development System Information (SoDevi) is a web-based application used by programmers and testers to work on projects at PT. In the eyes of Sora Jayate. This application is used to perform enhancements to the UI/UX web display to improve web performance and layout. It is necessary to test the SoDevi application, in order to improve the quality of the application developed by PT. In the eyes of Sora Jayate to minimize bugs or errors in the application. In previous applications that were developed there were problems, namely, when testing manually, human errors often occurred which resulted in the test results not being carried out optimally. By doing automated testing in search of bugs or errors in the system, it is very necessary to do, where one of the tests that can be done is to do a black box test. Performing a black box test will be very influential in testing a system, where this test will look for deficiencies and errors from the system that has been built. Testing is carried out in order to get an assessment, so that the system that has been built is in accordance with expectations and later there is no need to do repeated testing. A system can be said to be valid if the testing process has been carried out, because by testing it will be known with certainty the error function of the process in the system or not. In the black box test, the focus of the test is only on the functional test of the system, not on testing the model or program code. In the system test carried out on the SoDevi application, an automation tool called Katalon Studio will be used which will record the testing and scripting steps to run the test with the test focus only on the create, read, update and delete (CRUD) processes. The results of the black box test carried out on the SoDevi application have been running according to function and no bugs or errors were found from the system. From the black box test which is done automatically using Katalon Studio, it can be concluded that the system is running well where errors that occur in the application are a factor of human error.

A WEB-BASED PLATFORM FOR MANAGEMENT AND VISUALIZATION OF GEOMETRIC DOCUMENTATION PRODUCTS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES

Abstract. The mission of digital Cultural Heritage (CH) repositories goes beyond engagement and dissemination; their research data should be approached and correlated spatially and semantically in the service of conservation and accessibility. Therefore, a flexible system is needed to expand, reuse and repurpose their content, addressing online collaboration, real time progress and ease of use. Towards this direction, the “METEORA” web-based platform is a novel and holistic approach to the organization, management and visualization of the 3D and 2D documentation products of CH sites. It integrates a multi-scale 3D viewer based on the 3DHOP framework, personalized information access and interactive tools for data retrieval and presentation. Emphasis is given in the development of a mid-level interface for creating, updating and maintaining 3DHOP’s functionalities and customizing information based on the user’s scientific specialty and field of interest. The proposed admin control panel updates the state of the current visualization, allows the integration of 3D models and multimedia and automates the creation of clickable points of interest on top of the 3D surfaces. It is based on a MySQL Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that supports the back-end User Interface (UI) with create, read, update and delete (CRUD) management functions of a typical RESTful service. Moreover, all the control mechanisms as well as the procedures of authentication, authorization and encryption of the credentials of the certified users are configured through the PHP scripting language and JSON files. The resulting platform achieves maximum adaptability in digital archiving of heterogeneous datasets and has increasing efficiency in representing all types of data supported by 3DHOP.

Pembuatan Sistem Informasi Irigasi dan Kebutuhan Air dengan Standard dan Mekanisme Akses berbasis Infrastruktur data Geospasial untuk Irigasi Pertanian di Kabupaten Karanganyar

Manajemen irigasi diperlukan dalam mendukung tatakelola dan penentuan kebutuhan air, khususnya pada lahan pertanian. Manajemen irigasi tersebut dapat dioptimalkan dengan melakukan inventarisasi data irigasi di dalam sebuah web map. Inventarisasi data tersebut bertujuan agar skenario tukar guna data spasial khususnya terkait manajemen irigasi dapat berjalan optimal. Skenario tukar guna data dapat optimal apabila diseminasi informasi yang ada dapat saling terintegrasi. Permasalahan utama yaitu diseminasi informasi ataupun data terkait kebutuhan air untuk lahan pertanian ada pada sumber yang terpisah sehingga sulit untuk menganalisis hasil integrasi dari data tersebut. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan menyelaraskan data (curah hujan efektif, evapotranspirasi, porositas, total kehilangan air, efisiensi irigasi, petak irigasi, saluran irigasi dan petak irigasi) sehingga data dapat diintegrasikan dan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pengguna. Pada tulisan ini dilakukan 5 tahapan kegiatan yaitu perencanaan dan pengumpulan data, analisis, desain sistem, implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil yang didapat yaitu berupa web map yang digunakan untuk memfasilitasi ketersediaan dan akses data spasial yang di dalamnya terdapat data irigasi dan klimatologi. Dalam web map yang dibangun terdapat fasilitas-fasilitas diantaranya pembacaan data, penambahan data, pembaruan data, penghapusan data dan pengunduhan data. Web map yang dinamakan Sistem Informasi Irigasi dan Kebutuhan Air (SIRISKA) ini merupakan sebuah web map dinamis yang menggunakan fungsi Create Read Update and Delete (CRUD) ke basis data. Web map dibangun berdasarkan integrasi antara komponen back-end yang terdiri atas PostgreSQL (basisdata), PHP (server-side scripting), Apache (web server) dan komponen front end yang terdiri atas JavaScript, HTML dan CSS. Web map SIRISKA dievaluasi dengan beberapa parameter diantaranya efektifitas, kebergunaan, konsistensi, kejelasan arsitektural dan visual, dan kemampuan data sharing. Berdasarkan evaluasi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dibuat dapat memudahkan pengguna untuk melakukan tukar guna data dan mendapatkan informasi kebutuhan air irigasi untuk setiap petak irigasi.

A Novel Gmtds Algorithm for Dynamic Management of Transaction under Different Workload Condition

In today’s scenario large enterprise world spread across different locations, continents or having a diverse presence over the globe, where data is enormous and handling such large data over distributed computing becomes critical in real-time database system. The transaction management system for the distributed environment must ensure that the sequence of updates in the stable warehouses in different locations is confirmed or cancelled safely as a single complete unit of work. Working with Real-Time Database System (RTDBS) and that to on a distributed computing system is a tough task. When we work with distributed environment over larger database, we need to take care of the transaction time period as well as number of transactions that are actually executed (committed) and number of transactions fail. The application on dynamic RTDBS becomes more complex when certain deadlines need to be completed. In this paper, we had carried out the test of CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operation on transactional Real-time databases in real time dynamic distributed environment by using the existing EDF, GEDF algorithm and we had compared these algorithms with our proposed GMTDS algorithm in standalone and distributed environment with a dynamic self adaptive approach for management of transactions.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Implementation with Smart Contracts on a Privacy-Oriented Decentralized Architecture

Enterprise blockchain solutions attempt to solve the crucial matter of user privacy, albeit that blockchain was initially directed towards full transparency. In the context of Know Your Customer (KYC) standardization, a decentralized schema that enables user privacy protection on enterprise blockchains is proposed with two types of developed smart contracts. Through the public KYC smart contract, a user registers and uploads their KYC information to the exploited IPFS storage, actions interpreted in blockchain transactions on the permissioned blockchain of Alastria Network. Furthermore, through the public KYC smart contract, an admin user approves or rejects the validity and expiration date of the initial user’s KYC documents. Inside the private KYC smart contract, CRUD (Create, read, update and delete) operations for the KYC file repository occur. The presented system introduces effectiveness and time efficiency of operations through its schema simplicity and smart integration of the different technology modules and components. This developed scheme focuses on blockchain technology as the most important and critical part of the architecture and tends to accomplish an optimal schema clarity.

A Contrivance to Encapsulate Virtual Scaffold with Comments and Notes

CLOUD is an elision of Common Location-independent Online Utility available on-Demand and is based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Today a chunk of researchers were working towards contrivance based on multi-tenant aware Software as a Service (SaaS) application development and still a precise pragmatic solution remains a challenge among the researchers. The first step towards resolving solution is to enhance the virtual scaffold and propose it as a System under Test (SuT). The entire work is proposed as a Model View Controller (MVC) where the tenant login through the View and write their snippet code for encapsulation. The proposed VirScaff schema acts as Controller and provides authentication and authorization by role/session assignment for tenant and thus helps to access data from the dashboard (Viz., Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD)). The SuT supports and accommodates both SQL and Not only Structured Query Language (NoSQL) dataset. Finally, this paper construed that SuT behaves well for both SQL and NoSQL dataset in terms of time and space complexities. To sum-up, the entire work addresses the challenges towards multitenant aware SaaS application development and highly commendable while using NoSQL dataset.

Developing an ontology schema for enriching and linking digital media assets

Abstract The abundance of digital media information coming from different sources, completely redefines approaches to media content production management and distribution for all contexts (i.e. technical, business and operational). Such content includes descriptive information (i.e. metadata) about an asset (e.g. a movie, song or game), as well as playable media (e.g. audio or video files). Metadata is organised following a variety of inconsistent structures and formats that are supplied by various content providers. Some challenges have been addressed in terms of standardising and enriching media assets metadata from a semantic perspective. Well known examples include Europeana and DBpedia. Nevertheless, due to the ongoing variability and evolution of digital contents, constant support and creation of new semantic representations are necessary. This article presents an ontology schema covering the requirements of users (content providers and content consumers) involved in the overall life cycle of a digital media asset, which has been designed and developed for a real scenario. The construction of this schema has been documented and evaluated following a methodology supported by quantitative and qualitative metrics. As part of the tangible results, the following outcomes were produced: (i) an RDF/XML schema available via Zenodo and GitHub; (ii) competence questions used for validation are published at GitHub; (iii) an exemplary ontology repository; and (iv) CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) technologies for managing semantic repositories based on such schema. These results form an active part of the framework of a European project and other ongoing research initiatives.

MVC Frameworks Modernization Approach

The use of web development frameworks has grown significantly, specially the Model-View-Controller (MVC) based frameworks. The ability to immigrate web applications between different frameworks available becomes more and more relevant. The automation of the migration through transformations avoid the necessity to rewrite the code entirely. Architecture Driven Modernization (ADM) is the most successful approach that standardizes and automates the reengineering process. In this paper, we define an ADM approach to generate MVC web applications models in the highest level of abstraction from Struts 2 and Codeignitter Models. To do this, we add the MVC concepts to the KDM metamodel and then we specify a set of transformations to generate MVC KDM models. This proposal is validated through the use of our approach to transform CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) applications models from MVC frameworks to MVC KDM.

Automatic schema suggestion model for NoSQL document-stores databases

New generation databases also called NoSQL (Not only SQL) databases are highly scalable, flexible, and low-latent. These types of databases emerge as a result of the rigidity shown by traditional databases to handle today’s data which is voluminous, highly diversified and generated at a very high rate. With NoSQL, problems such as database expansion difficulties, low query performance and low storage capacity are addressed. However, the inherent complexity of contemporary datasets coupled with programmers’ low NoSQL modeling competence are increasingly making database modeling and design vastly challenging, especially when parameters like consistency, availability and scalability are to be balanced in accordance with system requirements. As such, a schema suggestion model for NoSQL databases is posed to address this balancing issue. The proposed model aims to abstractly suggest schemas at the initial stage of system development based on user defined system requirements and CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) operations among others. This is achieved through the adaptation of exploratory and experimental approaches of research. Also, few mathematical formulas are introduced to calculate clusters availability during entity mappings. A comparison was conducted between the schema produced using the proposed model and the one without. Results obtained shows substantial improvement in the areas of security and read–write query performance.

An Intelligent Data Service Framework for Heterogeneous Data Sources

Heterogeneous data on distributed computing sources are growing day by day. To manage the data from the distributed sources into a distinct type of application like mobile, cloud, desktop, web etc. is a challenging issue in the global information systems, particularly for cooperation and interoperability. This paper proposes a Data Service Framework, which integrates the data from distributed sources such as databases, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) based web services and flat files, and performs create, read, update and delete (CRUD) operations on it through Representational State Transfer (REST) services over the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The proposed data service framework also supports java database connectivity (JDBC). Detailed description of the proposed framework and experimental results are reported in this paper.

A Model Driven Approach for Modeling and Generating PHP CodeIgniter based Applications

During the last decade, web development industry has grown exponentially. Models have been introduced as a solution to face the challenge of both business and technology changes. In this article, we present a Model Driven based approach concerning the design of CodeIgniter based web applications. We describe a meta model of this framework and we also specify a set of transformations to generate the application’s source code taking into account the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture of CodeIgniter. In this approach, the PHP framework meta model is considered as a platform Specific model (PSM). Its instances are used as inputs to generate the source code through transformation rules carried out by Acceleo. This proposal is validated through the use of our approach to generate CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) applications.

SeMeja API Design Based on CRUD+N Concept

seMeja is an ongoing research to develop a desktop system for university environment. To support the development of this system, an Application Programming Interface (API) is needed to provide access to online university services such as course notes, course schedules and course registration interface. This paper proposes a research to create and design the API for seMeja named seMejaAPI. The primary goal for this API is to allow programmers to quickly develop applications that can interact with university online system that support the API. The API needs to be versatile enough to encapsulate the variations of online university services and yet easy enough to be used by an application programmer. The design of the API is based on the four operations of Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD). In addition to these four basic concepts, the concept of 'Notify' has been added to support the registration for push-style notifications. These principles are then combined with an existing university-based ontology. This ontology defines the various objects used in a university environment. Two prototypes were then developed and tested to demonstrate an implementation of a portion of the API, along with a small working application.

HelloWorld! An Instructive Case for the Transformation Tool Contest

This case comprises several primitive tasks that can be solved straight away with most transformation tools. The aim is to cover the most important kinds of primitive operations on models, i.e. create, read, update and delete (CRUD). To this end, tasks such as a constant transformation, a model-to-text transformation, a very basic migration transformation or diverse simple queries or in-place operations on graphs have to be solved. The motivation for this case is that the results expectedly will be very instructive for beginners. Also, it is really hard to compare transformation languages along complex cases, because the complexity of the respective case might hide the basic language concepts and constructs.
