Совершенствование вестибулярной устойчивости студентов средствами трансдинамических двигательных действий

Any mastering of the movements technique, which is formed as a result of prolonged physical or sports exposure, depends on the activity coordination of the central nervous processes and the working muscles. In order to quickly achieve the result of improving the vestibular stability, a technique was developed aimed at changing the state of consciousness by focusing attention on performing coordination exercises along the specified trajectories and requiring the completion of tasks for a normative period of time. The purpose of the study is to determine the influence of transdynamic motor actions on improving the vestibular stability of students – future architects, mining technicians, environmental engineers, occupational safety specialists, water use engineers, automation engineers, etc. The results of the implementation of the author’s methodology for improving the vestibular stability in the course of training sessions with 42 students and preparing them for professional activity in the agrarian region were presented. In addition to the vestibular stability, the development processes of key physical qualities during the academic year were studied. The effectiveness of the technique has been proved, which contributed to the improvement of the vestibular stability by 10–15% in 8–10 practical sessions after a long absence of motor activity, and can also be used in game sports to increase athletic performance by 5–8% per year.

IMPACT OF MOTOR ACTIVITY ON THE DYNAMICS OF INTELLECTUAL WORKING CAPACITY AND MENTAL COGNITIVE PROCESSES IN STUDENTS.

The aim: To study the impact of physical exercises of different intensity on the dynamics of intellectual working capacity and mental cognitive processes in students. Materials and methods: The research involved 293 students. The research was conducted in 2 stages. The 1st stage involved the study of the level of intellectual activity of students with sufficient (the experimental group, n = 76) and insufficient levels of their motor activity (the control group, n = 217). The 2nd stage provided for the determination of the dynamics of intellectual activity indicators in students (n = 76) before and after physical exercises of different intensity. Results: It was found that students with sufficient motor activity are characterized by significantly better indicators of intellectual working capacity and mental cognitive processes than students with insufficient motor activity. It was found that low-intensity physical exercises of a recreational nature had a more positive effect on intellectual working capacity in the course of training sessions. Conclusions: Organized motor activity and optimal physical exertion both during and after the end of intellectual functioning can directly affect the preser¬vation and improvement of students' intellectual working capacity.

ПОДГОТОВКА СПОРТСМЕНОВ-БИАТЛОНИСТОВ НА БАЗЕ ИНСТИТУТОВ ФСИН РОССИИ

As part of this work, the training of biathletes in the training facilities of the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service (hereinafter - FSIN) will be considered. The purpose of the presented work is to propose measures aimed at improving the physical level of biathletes at the training bases of the Federal Penitentiary Service. The authors propose a solution to the problems faced by young biathletes (fear of weapons in general, excitement at the turn, the desire to overcome the swing of weapons): creating athletes' ideas about the correct movements of their bodies and the order of such movements, the presence of strong-willed effort when aiming weapons accurately on target. The authors come to the conclusion that the growth of sports results depends on the degree of readiness of biathletes (physical and fire). Special qualities, abilities and skills obtained as a result of training camps at the training bases of the Federal Penitentiary Service are formed primarily during comprehensive training aimed at developing both physical and fire fitness. The development of two directions at the same time will lead to an increase in the performance of biathletes. The educational and training process on the basis of the institutes of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the preparation of biathletes should include the following areas: the training process in order to take part in competitions, a course of training sessions that allow assessing the effectiveness of the skills acquired as a result of the training process.

ПСИХОЛОГІЧНІ ЧИННИКИ АДАПТАЦІЇ ВІЙСЬКОВОСЛУЖБОВЦІВ СТРОКОВОЇ СЛУЖБИ В УМОВАХ ВІЙСЬКОВОЇ ЧАСТИНИ

Introduction. With today's changes, Ukrainians are directly involved in a local military conflict. That is why our society needs to create an army of a new model. An army that is optimal in numbers, soldiers who will be professionals in their own business, will own new weapons and will be able to think critically in extreme situations. One of the key features of conscript service is the adaptation of future servicemen to the conditions of the military unit, to their chosen specialization, to the individual and psychological qualities of their companions and officers. That is why the successful adaptation of the recruiter to the conditions of the military unit will ensure the proper acquisition of knowledge and skills that require specialization, which will subsequently become the basis for becoming a soldier as a professional.The purpose of the article is to elucidate the results of the study of the features of adaptation of conscripts in terms of military unit. Achieving this goal was carried out in several stages, where it was first necessary to identify the psychological factors of adaptation of servicemen, which will contribute to the flow of its effectiveness; the purpose of the second task was to carry out an experimental study of the study of this problem; The third stage is aimed at developing practical recommendations for improving the adaptation of military personnel.Methods The following set of psychodiagnostic techniques were used to solve the tasks: to identify the level of adaptive capacity of the individual, the “Multiple personal questionnaire“ Adaptability - 200 ”technique was used; to identify the level of influence of psychological states was used the method of "Self-assessment of mental states of G. Eysenck"; to identify the level of influence of accentuating personality traits was used the method of "Characteristic questionnaire of K. Leonhard and X. Shmishek; to determine the level of influence of personality temperament was used the method of "Personal Questionnaire (ERI) G. Eysenck".The originality of the work is that they can be used to promote the level of adaptation of military personnel. The diploma materials are recommended to be used in the course of training sessions on the adaptation of conscripts, as well as to the psychologists of the military units in order to improve the process of adaptation and correction of psychological states that directly affect the adaptation.Conclusions. Thus, the key factors in the adaptation of military personnel are psychological states, temperamental and character traits of the individual. It has been found that the presence of a certain level of manifestation of the above-mentioned features causes an appropriate level of personality adaptation. That is, the lower the level of accentuation of character, psychological states and extraversion of personality, the higher the level of adaptation of servicemen and vice versa.The experimental research we conducted does not exhaust all aspects of our study. We see the prospects for further searches in studying the motivational aspect of military personnel as a factor of adaptation.

УПРОВАДЖЕННЯ НАВЧАЛЬНО-ТЕРАПЕВТИЧНОЇ ПРОГРАМИ «ПСИХОСОМАТИКА» В ПРАКТИЧНУ ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ПСИХОЛОГА

The article presents the educational and therapeutic program “Psychosomatics” based on the scientific developments of the authors and their practical experience. The purpose, main objectives and the scope of the therapeutic program are revealed. Educational-therapeutic sessions “Fundamentals of psychosomatics”, “Practical aspects of psychologist’s work with psychosomatic manifestations and illnesses”, “Special psychosomatics in client work”, “Family psychosomatics and counseling of married couples”, “Child psychosomatics”, “Female psychosomatics” , “Separate methods of work with psychosomatics” are the content of the program. Specialized techniques and exercises used in the course of training sessions (small group work, work in pairs “client-psychologist”, intergroup discussion, psychological workshops, creative tasks, etc.) are presented and explained.

Ethical and Communicative Competence of Students: Ways of Formation and Development

The article considers the long-term practice in the area of ethical and communicative education of students of the Department of library-information resources of the East Siberian State Institute of Culture. The purpose of the work is to summarize the experience in formation and development of ethical and communicative competence of students. The authors describe the method of teaching the discipline “Ethics of library communication” and consider specific features of lectures and practical classes. The article characterizes the methods of work with full-time and part-time students, students of retraining and professional development programs at the example of use of interactive innovative technologies. The authors analyse the practice-oriented tasks aimed at diagnostics of various communicative and ethical characteristics of students and present the results of surveys of students of different forms of education about their culture of communication. The article describes the experience of using cases in the course of discipline study and the development of students’ draft codes of ethics of librarian and reader. The authors emphasize the importance of using a Cartesian rectangular coordinates system and drawing up a “Contract with the own Adult” for self-education of student, development of his critical thinking, ability to analyse and creative approach in library and information activities. The article raises the problems of verbal and nonverbal communication in the training of future specialists, as well as gives recommendations on the use of mind maps in the formation of librarian-communicator. The authors determine the importance of business game “Business etiquette” for the formation of pedagogical skills of students. The article underlines the necessity of development of ethical and communicative competences not only in the course of training sessions, but also through the involvement of students in scientific activities, in particular, when writing course and graduate qualification works. The authors analyse execution method and content of the work devoted to the topic “Netiquette. Network etiquette” and present the results of the student research conducted among the trainees in universities of the Republic of Buryatia.

The method of work centers in the education of blind children in Rwanda

The article shows how the achievements of the Polish science of teaching people with visual impairments are used in a country that is completely culturally different. Analysis of the use of the method of work centers in the Center for Blind People in Kibeho, Rwanda, is preceded with the discussion of the disability model used in African countries and the presentation of basic data on the economic and social situation of people with visual impairments in Rwanda. The main part of the article describes the theoretical and practical principles of the method of work centers in the context of satisfying blind students' special educational needs. It presents methodological solutions used during the successive stages of a daily work center, giving special attention to the principles of conducting non-visual observation. It shows the adaptation of the curriculum to Rwanda's cultural, geographical, political and social conditions. It describes the aims, form and course of training sessions on planning and carrying out activities according to the method of work centers, emphasizing difficulties in conducting them resulting from the specific nature of African teachers' working style and mentality. Learning about, understanding and respect for a different cultural sphere facilitated mutual agreement between Polish special educators and Kibeho teachers, and the improvement of the quality of the educational offer for students with visual impairments. The training project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hear Africa Foundation described in the article proved that the method of work centers is universal as a form of educational and rehabilitation interventions for blind children and can be effectively used both in Poland, and in Rwanda.

Addressing perceptual insensitivity to facial affect in violent offenders: first evidence for the efficacy of a novel implicit training approach

Although impaired recognition of affective facial expressions has been conclusively linked to antisocial behavior, little is known about the modifiability of this deficit. This study investigated whether and under which circumstances the proposed perceptual insensitivity can be addressed with a brief implicit training approach. Facial affect recognition was assessed with an animated morph task, in which the participants (44 male incarcerated violent offenders and 43 matched controls) identified the onset of emotional expressions in animated morph clips that gradually changed from neutral to one of the six basic emotions. Half of the offenders were then implicitly trained to direct attention to salient face regions (attention training, AT) using a modified dot-probe task. The other half underwent the same protocol but the intensity level of the presented expressions was additionally manipulated over the course of training sessions (sensitivity to emotional expressions training, SEE training). Subsequently, participants were reassessed with the animated morph task. Facial affect recognition was significantly impaired in violent offenders as compared with controls. Further, our results indicate that only the SEE training group exhibited a pronounced improvement in emotion recognition. We demonstrated for the first time that perceptual insensitivity to facial affect can be addressed by an implicit training that directs attention to salient regions of a face and gradually decreases the intensity of the emotional expression. Future studies should focus on the potential of this intervention to effectively increase empathy and inhibit violent behavior in antisocial individuals.

Teaching mindfulness to psychotherapists in clinical practice: The Mindful Therapy Programme

AbstractIntroduction: Initially proposed as a treatment modality for psychological disorders, mindfulness is now being promoted as a means of enhancing both therapist self care and therapeutic efficacy. The degree to which mindfulness can be learned by therapists to manage their own and clients' processes in therapy is as yet unknown. This study examines training outcomes of a standardised introductory mindfulness programme for mental health professionals. Methods: Forty‐seven mental health professionals completed an eight‐week mindful therapy (MT) training programme and associated measures. Results: Compared with baseline scores, participants demonstrated knowledge acquisition on all measures, including increased mindfulness in clinical work, increased capacity to intentionally invoke mindful states of consciousness, and higher participant ratings of well‐being over the course of training sessions. Discussion: This research provides preliminary evidence that a brief, standardised mindfulness training programme can achieve acceptable knowledge and skills outcomes for therapists that can aid their therapeutic practice. Of note, increased ‘therapeutic mindfulness’ in this study resulted from changed mindfulness ‘attitudes’ (i.e. a more accepting and equanimous orientation within therapeutic work) as opposed to a clear demonstration of increased attention‐regulation skills. The implications of these and other results for programme development and wider research are discussed.

Neurofeedback in adolescents and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

Neurofeedback is being utilized more commonly today in treating individuals who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Neurofeedback, which is based on theories that recognize the organic basis of ADHD, utilizes biofeedback to guide individuals to regulate their brain activity. Neurofeedback relies on research that has demonstrated that most individuals who have ADHD, as compared to matched peers, have excess slow wave activity and reduced fast wave activity. It provides immediate feedback to the individual about his or her brain wave activity in the form of a video game, whose action is influenced by the individual's meeting predetermined thresholds of brain activity. Over several sessions of using the video and auditory feedback, individuals reduce their slow wave activity and/or increase their fast wave activity. Individuals who complete a course of training sessions often show reduced primary ADHD symptoms. Research has shown that neurofeedback outcomes compare favorably to those of stimulant medication.
