Innovative education on students’ anxiety from ideological and political perspective

BackgroundIdeological and political education, as an important part of cultivating students’ correct world outlook and values, has attracted much attention. However, there is a lack of sufficient research into the influence of first-class ideological and political education courses on students’ learning anxiety.Research objects and MethodsThis study took the first-class curriculum innovation of ideological and political education as the research direction, selected students receiving ideological and political education as the research objects, and used tools such as Stanford Acute Stress Response Questionnaire (SASRQ) and 3-minute Disorder Assessment Scale (3D-CAM) to assess students’ learning anxiety symptoms. The State statistical analysis method was used to compare the changes of learning anxiety symptoms of students before and after receiving ideological and political education.ResultsThe results showed that before receiving ideological and political education, students had more common symptoms of learning anxiety (SASRQ score was 7.2 on average). After receiving ideological and political education, students’ learning anxiety symptoms improved significantly (SASRQ score was 4.8 on average), showing an obvious downward trend.ConclusionsThe research shows that the innovation of the first-class curriculum of ideological and political education has a positive effect on students’ learning anxiety symptoms. Through the study of ideological and political courses, students can reduce anxiety and improve social, thinking and value cognition. The Delphi method is used to screen out five major dimensions of hardware platform, content construction, communication mode, the quality of teachers and students in universities, and the environment of media network dissemination and interpret the positive effects of self-media platform in improving university teaching and operation management efficiency. Based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, the importance distribution of the five dimensions is identified and an optimal path of university education operation and management is constructed to improve the overall efficiency of university education operation and management.

Research on the Reform Countermeasures and Implementation Path of Primary and Secondary School Language Education in Hong Kong SAR, China

According to a questionnaire and interview survey of 689 students, teachers, and parents from six primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, China, both public and government-funded schools use traditional Chinese teaching materials and Cantonese as the medium of instruction, while private schools use original English textbooks and English as the medium of instruction. All schools' self-selected teaching materials and teachers have a major colonial education legacy, in that they do not objectively introduce the growth process of Chinese culture and socialism, affecting students' ability to acquire a correct world outlook and ideal. In everyday life, students primarily speak Cantonese, and their Putonghua proficiency is poor.
