Pre-hospital emergency care personnel’s challenges in providing care in mass casualty incidents: A qualitative study

BackgroundIn incidents with mass casualties, pre-hospital emergency medical services personnel (prehospital EMS personnel) face challenges that can impact their management of the scene and, by extension, their professional performance. The present study investigated the challenges faced by prehospital EMS personnel in mass casualty incidents in the south of Iran. MethodsThis is a qualitative-descriptive study. The subjects were selected via purposeful sampling. Accordingly, 23 prehospital EMS personnel were interviewed in 23 semi-structured, individual, in-depth interviews. Graneheim and Lundman’s method was used to collect the data. ResultsThree themes and eight subthemes emerged from the qualitative data analysis. The three main themes were challenges related to professional capabilities, challenges related to organizational management inefficiency, and challenges related to lack of effective inter-organizational coordination and cooperation in crisis management. ConclusionThe challenges faced by prehospital EMS personnel in mass casualty incidents encompasses challenges related to professional capabilities, challenges related to organizational management inefficiency, and challenges related to lack of effective inter-organizational coordination and cooperation in crisis management. The results of this study can be used by senior medical emergency services managers to identify the challenges of pre-hospital emergency care personnel in mass casualty incidents and take the necessary measures to eliminate them to improve the quality of pre-hospital care in mass casualty incidents.

Corrosion and wear resistance of ultrasonic vibration-assisted laser cladded Fe-based crystal/amorphous composite coatings

The ultrasonic vibration (UV) is applied during the laser cladding process of Fe88.83Si6.21B2.51Cr2.45 (wt. %) amorphous powders. The microstructure evolution and properties of the Fe-based crystal/amorphous composite coatings with and without UV were investigated in detail. The results reveal a significant decrease of 55.8% in the average grain size within the UV coating, accompanied by a 35.9% reduction in the length of columnar grains at the interface, which is primarily attributed to the acoustic streaming and cavitation effects of ultrasound. The average microhardness value of coatings rises from 659 ±33 HV0.2 to 873 ±48 HV0.2. Meanwhile, the coatings with UV exhibit outstanding wear resistance, with a 38.2% reduction in wear rate compared to normal coatings. The corrosion mechanism of the coatings is pitting corrosion and the corroded surface of the coating with UV displays a relatively smaller pitting area. The enhancement mechanism for properties by U V can be the cooperative effect of the fine-grain strengthening and the amorphous phase strengthening.

First-principles study of Y, Ca microalloyed Mg-Zn alloy

This article investigates the complex effects of Y and Ca alloying on the G.P. zones ( parallel to {0001}Mg)and G.P.1 zones ( parallel to {2-1-10}Mg) in Mg-Zn alloys, as well as their corresponding changes in thermal stability, electronic structure, and mechanical properties, using first-principles calculations. The addition of Y significantly enhances the thermal stability of both the G.P. and G.P.1 zones, whereas the effect of Ca is more limited, mainly enhancing the thermal stability of the one-atomic layer G.P. zones, but possibly decreasing the thermal stability in other areas. In the combined alloying of Y and Ca, the cooperative effect optimizes the thermal stability of the one-atomic layer and half-atomic layer G.P.1 zones, but reduces the thermal stability of other G.P. zones. Through studying the local density of states and the atomic radial distribution function, it is revealed that the higher stability of the half-atomic layer G.P. zones compared to the one-atomic layer G.P. zones is due to more Mg-Zn and Mg-Mg bonds, whereas the one-atomic layer G.P.1 zones exhibits higher stability because of shorter and more stable Zn-Zn, Mg-Zn, and Zn-Mg bonds. The electronic structure analysis shows that Y mainly appears in the alloy in the form of electron localization, readily forming ionic bonds with Mg and Zn, which is a key reason for its effective alloying results. In contrast, Ca, as well as the alloying of Y and Ca, do not form effective bonds on the energy levels from -8eV to -5eV, explaining their weaker alloying effects. Additionally, the study of mechanical properties indicates that the G.P. zones of pure Zn, due to its significant difference in shear modulus from the magnesium matrix, is not easily strengthened by dislocation shearing and thus mainly strengthened through the Orowan mechanism. The addition of Y significantly increases the strength and hardness of the one-atomic layer G.P. zones, but decreases the ductility. The addition of Ca changes the anisotropy of the Young's modulus of the one-atomic layer G.P. zones, while the combined effect of Y and Ca greatly alters the anisotropy of the shear modulus of this phase. These findings provide important theoretical guidance and insights for the design and application of Mg-Zn alloys.

Construction of 2D/2D heterostructure with porous few layer g-C3N4 and NiCo2O4 nanosheets towards electromagnetic wave absorption

Developing high-performance materials with ultra-high reflection loss (RL ≤ -65 dB) for electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption is pivotal to address electromagnetic pollution, but it is still challenging. Herein, a two-dimensional (2D)/2D PFL g-C3N4/NiCo2O4 heterostructure with porous few-layer g-C3N4 (PFL g-C3N4) and ultrathin NiCo2O4 nanosheets has been prepared by self-assembly, hydrothermal reaction, and calcination strategies. The 2D/2D heterostructure exhibits extraordinary EMW absorption property, achieving a reflection loss (RL) value of -68.59 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 1.92 GHz at a matching thickness of 2.5 mm. As expected, the porous few layer g-C3N4 nanosheets provide rich interface which increases multiple reflection paths and enhances the conduction loss. The cooperative effects of magnetic loss, dielectric loss, and impedance matching contribute to the exceptional EMW absorption property of PFL g-C3N4/NiCo2O4 (2D/2D) heterostructure. The potential of PFL g-C3N4/NiCo2O4 in actual radar stealth is verified through radar scattering cross-section (RCS) simulation. This work paves the way for utilizing 2D/2D heterostructure as an ultra-efficient EMW absorbers.

GUESS: GradUally Enriching SyntheSis for Text-Driven Human Motion Generation.

In this article, we propose a novel cascaded diffusion-based generative framework for text-driven human motion synthesis, which exploits a strategy named GradUally Enriching SyntheSis (GUESS as its abbreviation). The strategy sets up generation objectives by grouping body joints of detailed skeletons in close semantic proximity together and then replacing each of such joint group with a single body-part node. Such an operation recursively abstracts a human pose to coarser and coarser skeletons at multiple granularity levels. With gradually increasing the abstraction level, human motion becomes more and more concise and stable, significantly benefiting the cross-modal motion synthesis task. The whole text-driven human motion synthesis problem is then divided into multiple abstraction levels and solved with a multi-stage generation framework with a cascaded latent diffusion model: an initial generator first generates the coarsest human motion guess from a given text description; then, a series of successive generators gradually enrich the motion details based on the textual description and the previous synthesized results. Notably, we further integrate GUESS with the proposed dynamic multi-condition fusion mechanism to dynamically balance the cooperative effects of the given textual condition and synthesized coarse motion prompt in different generation stages. Extensive experiments on large-scale datasets verify that GUESS outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods by large margins in terms of accuracy, realisticness, and diversity.

Alternative lengthening of telomere-based immortalization renders H3G34R -mutant diffuse hemispheric glioma hypersensitive to PARP inhibitor combination regimens

Abstract Background Diffuse hemispheric glioma, H3G34R/V-mutant (DHG-H3G34) is characterized by poor prognosis and lack of effective treatment options. DHG-H3G34R further harbor deactivation of Alpha-Thalassemia/Mental Retardation Syndrome X-linked protein (ATRX; DHG-H3G34R_ATRX) suggesting a unique interaction of these two oncogenic alterations. In this study, we dissect their cell biological interplay, investigate the impact on telomere stabilization and, consequently, validate a targeted therapy approach. Methods We characterized patient-derived primary pediatric high-grade glioma (pHGG) models for telomere-maintenance mechanisms, DNA damage stress (including protein expression, pH2AX/Rad51 foci, cell-cycle arrest) and their sensitivity towards poly-ADP polymerase inhibitor (PARPi) combinations. Human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) were used for modelling the disease. The anticancer activity of PARPi combinations in vivo was studied in Chorioallantoic Membrane (CAM) and orthotopic in vivo experiments. Finally, we treated a DHG-H3G34R_ATRX patient with a PARPi combination therapy. Results We elaborate that alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT) is a key characteristic of DHG-H3G34R_ATRX. A dominant cooperative effect between H3G34R and ATRX loss in ALT activation also became apparent in iPSCs, which endogenously exert telomerase activity. In both, patient-derived DHG-H3G34R_ATRX models and H3G34R+/ATRX- iPSCs, the ALT phenotype was associated with increased basal DNA damage stress, mediating synergistic susceptibility towards PARPi (talazoparib, niraparib) combinations with topoisomerase-I inhibitors (topotecan, irinotecan). In a first-of-its-kind case, treatment of a DHG-H3G34R_ATRX patient with the brain-penetrant PARP inhibitor niraparib and topotecan resulted in a significant tumor reduction. Conclusion Our preclinical and clinical data strongly support the further development of PARPis together with DNA damage stress-inducing treatment regimens for DHG-H3G34R_ATRX.

Regional Alliance - Lublin Triangle: geopolitical priorities and dynamics of foreign policy transformation in the context of security challenges and threats

The article is devoted to the current problem of the effectiveness of the Lublin Triangle Alliance as a multilateral security cooperative format between Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania in the military-political, economic, cultural and social spheres. The strategies and directions of activity of the Lublin triangle are analyzed in the context of modern geopolitical and security challenges, including Russian expansion and aggression. The decisive role of the Alliance in the development of the European security system, the provision of military-technical, financial-economic, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war is substantiated. The role of the Lublin triangle in maintaining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state has been studied; the de-occupation of the territories captured by Russia, as well as the realization of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations, including membership in the EU and NATO. The article analyzes the dynamics of transformations of partnership strategies and interactions of Poland-Lithuania-Ukraine in the context of security threats from Russia during the full-scale war. The priority areas of cooperation for 2022-2024 have been outlined and characterized. The effectiveness of cooperation between the states of the Lublin Triangle in the field of security and defense is substantiated; cybersecurity; energy security; strategic communications, comma and countering hybrid threats. It was emphasized that in the conditions of modern geopolitical challenges and threats, security strategies in the activity and foreign policy of the «Lublin Triangle» are a priority.

DFT-Guided Design of Dual Dopants in Anatase TiO2 for Boosted Sodium Storage.

Anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2) has drawn great attention as an anode material in sodium ion batteries (SIBs), but it suffers from the sluggish diffusion kinetics of Na+ within TiO2 and inferior electronic conductivity. Herein, under the guidance of density functional theory (DFT), we propose a nitrogen and selenium dual-doped TiO2 system as an advanced SIB anode. Both DFT and experimental investigations reveal the cooperative effect of dopants in boosting the electrochemical performance of TiO2, finding the optimal content ratio (N/Se at 1:3) for overall improved SIB performances. As expected, experimental results exhibit excellent sodium storage behavior of the N,Se-doped TiO2, including high discharge capacity (142 mAh g-1 at 2 A g-1), good rate performance (82 mAh g-1 at 20 A g-1), and ultralong cyclability (97% retention over 5000 cycles at 2 A g-1). Our study underscores the importance of dual-heteroatom doping in the rational design of advanced electrode materials.

Homobimetallic Ruthenium(II) Complexes Catalysed Selective Transfer Hydrogenation of Aldehydes in Water.

Herein we report chemoselective transfer hydrogenation (TH) of aldehydes in aqueous medium using a series of homobimetallic Ru(II) catalysts. Two homobimetallic complexes (Ru1 and Ru3) and one monometallic complex (Ru2) have been employed in the catalytic reduction of aldehydes. Bimetallic complex [(p-cymene)2(RuCl)2L3] (Ru3) is obtained from the reaction of Schiff base ligand 2,2'-((1E,1'E)-((3,3',5,5'-tetraisopropyl-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'diyl)bis(azaneylylidene))bis(methaneylylidene))bis(4-bromophenol) (H2L3) and characterized by various spectroscopic and analytical techniques. The use of formic acid/formate buffer as the hydride source and a catalyst loading of 0.01 mol% of Ru1 or Ru3 resulted in the conversion of various aldehydes to the corresponding alcohols in good to excellent yield. This method is very efficient for selective reduction of aldehydes in the presence of other reducible functional groups. A loading of 0.0001 mol% of Ru1 catalyst is sufficient to achieve a turnover frequency (TOF) of 5.5× 105 h-1. Furthermore, the catalyst can been recycled and reused for six consecutives cycles without sacrificing the efficiency. A comparison of results obtained between bimetallic and monometallic complexes offers valuable insights into the distinct reactivity patterns of the bimetallic complexes, presumably originating from a cooperative effect. We have explored the mechanistic pathway using DFT methods.

ORGANIZATION OF METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE STATE INNOVATION POLICY IN THE SPHERE OF INFORMATIZATION OF THE HEALTH PROTECTION SYSTEM OF UKRAINE

The article highlights the key issues related to the need to modernize the health care system, globalization and integration into international structures, health care reform. In Ukraine, the process of health care reform is underway, which involves increasing the efficiency of the medical services system, their availability and quality. Innovations can accelerate these processes, in particular through the introduction of digital technologies (e-health, telemedicine), automation of management of medical facilities, development of remote diagnosis and treatment. The state innovation policy will allow to more effectively prepare for similar challenges in the future through the development of new vaccines, diagnostic methods, monitoring systems and management of medical resources. Support from the state (for example, through preferential taxation) to the development of the private medical services sector will reduce the burden on the state budget. In addition, it contributes to the attraction of investments in this area. Therefore, the state innovation policy in the field of health care is a relevant tool for ensuring the sustainable development of the health care system of Ukraine, increasing its efficiency and competitiveness, which meets the modern challenges and needs of society. The authors analyze the key aspects of the state policy aimed at the informatization of medical institutions, in particular, the digitalization of medical services, the introduction of electronic medicine, the creation of unified information platforms and patient databases. The article examines the importance of developing a clear methodology for the implementation of innovative solutions, as well as the role of the state in creating favorable conditions for the informatization of the health care system. The authors also analyze the international experience and the possibilities of its adaptation for Ukrainian realities, emphasizing the need to establish effective cooperation between state bodies, medical institutions and technological companies. The article concludes about the importance of an integrated approach to the informatization of the health care sector in order to improve the quality of medical services and increase the efficiency of medical resource management.

The management methods in the sphere of state security in conditions of social transformation

The article is dedicated to the investigation of management methods in the field of state security during periods of social transformation. It addresses the importance of adapting governance strategies to contemporary challenges, especially in the context of Ukraine’s ongoing crisis and global instability. Emphasis is placed on the development of comprehensive management approaches that not only react to current threats but also anticipate future challenges. The relevance of the study is underlined by the need for strategic planning and proactive implementation of policies to safeguard national interests and ensure long-term stability. The article emphasizes the necessity of effective cooperation between public administration entities to guarantee the resilience of the national security system. The author notes that the success of state security management heavily depends on the integration of political, legal, and organizational mechanisms. The focus is on how these mechanisms contribute to the implementation of Ukraine’s National Security Strategy, aiming to protect the country’s territorial integrity and facilitate its European integration efforts. Special attention is given to the reform of public administration, stressing the importance of transparency and professionalism in law enforcement and strategic management. The author indicates that effective governance in the security sector requires enhanced coordination among various governmental bodies. The importance of information exchange, joint training, and the development of new technological solutions is highlighted as key methods for addressing modern security threats such as terrorism, cyberattacks, and organized crime. The study also points out the need for continuous professional development and reform in public administration to ensure that national security objectives are met in a timely and effective manner. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between different state institutions and the importance of coordinated efforts to respond to security threats. The article underscores the need for a dynamic and adaptable governance system, one that can respond swiftly to both domestic and international challenges. This includes the development of innovative approaches to governance, strategic planning, and the use of cutting-edge technologies. Ultimately, the study calls for the continuous improvement of public administration in the security sector, to build a sustainable and secure future for Ukraine.

LIMITES DA PRIVACIDADE DIGITAL: IMPLICAÇÕES JURÍDICAS NO DIREITO PENAL

This article deals with the limits of digital privacy and its legal implications in Criminal Law. Given the complexity evident in the digital era, this study aimed to analyze the legal implications in Criminal Law regarding the protection of personal data. Methodologically, bibliographical research was used through research in articles, jurisprudence and books to support the study. It analyzes the tension between the protection of individual rights and the need to combat cybercrime, emphasizing the importance of adequate legislation to guarantee digital security without compromising the privacy of citizens. The research uses a qualitative and bibliographical approach, exploring challenges such as collecting digital evidence and the legal implications of online surveillance. In the end, there was great progress in legislation in the fight against cybercrime, strengthening the protection of personal data. However, the difficulty of identifying offenders of crimes like these is still a challenge, and, to be combatted, requires improvements in supervision and improvement of digital investigation mechanisms, in addition to more effective cooperation between national and international authorities. This includes the development of advanced technologies and the creation of specific legal protocols that help identify and hold perpetrators accountable without compromising the rights of individual citizens.

AbstractHydrogenations are fundamentally and industrially important reactions that are atom economical paths to synthesize value‐added products from feedstock chemicals. The cooperative effects of two or more metal centers in multimetallic active sites is a successful strategy to activate small molecules and facilitate catalytic reactions, and this strategy has been recently applied to catalytic hydrogenation reactions. Furthermore, heterobimetallic complexes have been well‐documented to provide novel reaction pathways and improved selectivity, compared to their homo‐bimetallic and monometallic analogues. This minireview provides a historical perspective on the development of heterobimetallic catalysts for the hydrogenation of unsaturated substrates and describes recent developments in this burgeoning research area.

Planning of the investigation of criminal offenses in the sphere of economic activities committed involving law enforcement officials: The Ukrainian perspective

The article is devoted to formulation of theoretical principles and practical recommendations regarding organization and planning of the investigation of criminal offenses in the field of economic activity, which are committed with the participation (assistance) of law enforcement officers. The methodology for the article is chosen taking into account the purpose and tasks, object and subject matter of the study. The research results were obtained with the help of the following methods: dialectical; formal and logical; formal and legal; comparative and legal; historical and legal, complex analysis; analysis and synthesis; axiomatic; system and structural method. The obtained results of the study indicated that organization and planning of the investigation of criminal acts under consideration is a purposeful activity of the authorized bodies, which is carried out under the guidance of the investigator, detective of the pre-trial investigation body. These activities require systematic, comprehensive approach and must take into account a wide range of circumstances that can affect the process and results of the investigation: the nature of the criminal offense, access to the necessary financial, human and technical resources; the competence of the investigator, the detective; terms and deadlines for investigation and presenting materials to the court, establishing effective cooperation between competent authorities. The study highlights the peculiarities of the organization and planning of the investigation of criminal offenses in economic activities, when law enforcement officers are involved, and suggests directions for improving the effectiveness of their implementation.

Acute Ischemic Stroke and STEMI in A 78-Year-Old Female: A Case Report of Dual Life-Threatening Events and Complicated Recovery

Ischemic stroke and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) occurring at the same time, are very rare conditions that cause major difficulties in management and present high mortality rates. This manuscript brings into focus a 78-year-old woman who had known diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension (HTN), dyslipidemia, and ischemic strokes in the past, who presented with focal neurological deficits in the form of sudden onset slurring of speech and facial asymmetry which on investigation revealed a large left middle cerebral artery (MCA) infarction. Few hours later she developed STEMI with ECG changes and raised troponin levels. The patient experienced respiratory difficulty for which the patient was intubated. A percutaneous intervention (PCI) was attempted with moderate results. Complications included heart failure, atrial fibrillation (AF), and septic shock due to a urinary tract infection (UTI) that delayed her discharge from the hospital. Nevertheless, the effective treatment and cooperation between cardiologists and neurologists, stabilized her condition. This case shows the challenges of managing dual pathology (stroke and STEMI simultaneously); therefore, early diagnosis and multidisciplinary management offer the best prognosis to realize optimal outcomes.

Historical Aspects of the Cooperation and Collaboration Between the South African Reserve Bank and Other Role Players

Prior to the enactment of the Financial Sector Regulation Act (FSR Act), the regulation of cooperation and collaboration between the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and other financial role players was not done for the purpose of protecting financial stability or promoting market integrity. The SARB, the Financial Services Board (FSB) and the Bank Supervision Department (BSD) were required by the Banks Act to harmonise supervisory actions and to share relevant information for operational purposes. The lack of adequate cooperation and collaboration arrangements to promote, protect, enhance and maintain financial stability and market integrity gave rise to regulatory gaps and overlapping functions in the financial sector. The provisions for cooperation and collaboration contained in the Banks Act, the Financial Markets Act and the Financial Services Board Act, and the establishment of the Financial Sector Contingency Forum (FSCF) were not adequate to foster effective cooperation and collaboration between the SARB, the BSD, the FSB and other financial role players.

Introduction. The relevance of the article is due to the growing role of banking institutions in the process of shadowing the Ukrainian economy, which negatively affects the financial stability of the state. Problem Statement. The shadow economy has been identified as one of the main threats to the economic stability and security of the state. The study of the role of banking institutions in illegal transactions by entities whose purpose is money laundering, using various schemes and methods of financial fraud, is considered from the standpoint of substantiating directions and effective tools for countering shadowing of the economy. The implementation of such measures at the national and corporate level in accordance with international norms will make it possible to strengthen control over banking transactions, increase stability of the banking and financial systems and, ultimately, improve the level of economic security of the country. Purpose. Analysis of the role of banking institutions in the shadow economy, justification of directions and tools for counteracting the participation of banks in the shadow economy. Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the fundamental provisions of economic theory, theories of management and state regulation of the economy, economic and mathematical modeling, the theory of money, finance and credit, scientific achievements on the shadow economy and measures to counteract its manifestations. Results. The study identifies the role of banking institutions and proposes a typology of forms of their participation in the shadow economy, including: legalization of proceeds of crime; use of correspondent accounts; use of fictitious companies and front persons; offshore accounts; lending and deposit operations of banks; securities manipulation; and other financial fraud. The impact of these mechanisms on the economic stability of the state and the banking system is analyzed. A comparative analysis of international experience in combating money laundering is carried out, and effective tools for preventing shadow operations are identified. The trends and factors of shadowing the Ukrainian economy are analyzed. To assess the impact of banking institutions on the spread of the shadow economy, it is proposed to use the Simpson distribution for shadow cash flows and discount rates with the participation of banking institutions. The instruments of counteracting the participation of banks in the processes of shadowing the Ukrainian economy are substantiated. Conclusions. Further research is planned to focus on the impact of modern digital technologies, such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies, on money laundering through banking institutions. A promising area is the development of innovative methods of financial monitoring and identification of suspicious transactions, in particular with the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It is also important to study the effectiveness of international cooperation and develop recommendations for improving the legislative framework for combating money laundering through banking institutions.

Local adaptive insulation in amorphous powder cores with low core loss and high DC bias via ultrasonic rheomolding

Amorphous powder cores are promising components for next-generation power electronics. However, they present inherent challenges of internal air gaps and stresses during cold compaction, which significantly deteriorate soft magnetic properties. Here, we report the formation of a local adaptive insulation structure of biconcave lens in amorphous powder cores by ultrasonic rheomolding. Consequently, compared with conventional cold-compacted powder cores, the ultrasonic rheomolded powder cores offer significant simultaneous improvements in the permeability from 31.3–32.4 to 41.8–43.3 and the direct-current bias performance from 69.4–69.7% to 87.4–87.8% (7960 A/m), thereby overcoming the trade-off between permeability and direct-current bias performance. In particular, their core losses are as low as 13.73–15.45 kW/m3, approximately one twentieth of that of the cold-compacted powder cores (282.84–304.03 kW/m3) at a magnetic field of 100 mT and 100 kHz. The biconcave-lens insulation structure can effectively buffer the impact of high mechanical stress on the magnetization of magnetic powder particles, allowing for the ultrasonic rheomolded powder cores to maintain better magnetization efficiency and consequently resulting in excellent soft magnetic properties under the cooperative effect of very low internal stresses and low porosity. The ultrasonic rheomolded powder cores can be used as alternative core components in next generation miniaturized power electronics.

This research aims to find out and understand the results of competency analysis, work productivity and employee performance at the P3DW Karawang Office. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach, and data is collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that employee competency at the P3DW Karawang Office is good, but special training and providing equal development opportunities for all employees are still needed to improve their skills. Employee work productivity is considered quite good, supported by effective communication and cooperation with superiors. However, this research also found that several facilities and infrastructure in the office were still inadequate. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to improve facilities and develop human resources more intensively to ensure employee performance can continue to improve and support the achievement of organizational goals..
