ABSTRACT This research aims to investigate how Artificial Intelligence-driven digital art, specifically Chatbot GPT-4, influences an individual’s comprehension of traditional Chinese Buddhism through the heuristic approach. The method of semi-structured interviews was established as a question framework that could be modified through synchronous analysis of the Chatbot GPT-4 responses. All the acquired information was processed using the record-keeping method and subsequently analysed employing the focus coding method. As a result of the analysis of the responses generated by the chatbot to structured interview questions, it was possible to determine that the optimal response for the system pertained to concise and precise queries that involved numerical information analysis (dates, formulas, chronology of events, etc.). In such instances, response time did not exceed 1.5 seconds. Notably, 90% of the questions received structured responses. In the case of essay writing, a series of three attempts were undertaken. In each case, the total content volume did not exceed 750 words: the first essay consisted of 450 words (45%), the second essay extended to 725 words (72.5%), and the third essay was composed of 710 words (71%).
