This paper presented the major challenges for urbanization including ecological and social problems as a result of rapid urban development. Based on the connotation of sustainable development, theory of Social-Economic-Natural Complex Ecosystem and Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) model, urban water supply and sewage treatment systems, urban waste emission reduction, urban transportation and regional planning, food systems in response to urban expansion, and urban clean energy systems were systematically discussed to achieve the urban transformation. In view of the urban sustainable development in China, it is not just about city itself but also about its integrated relationships with its surrounding regions. Therefore, the paper suggested that the coupling and coordination mechanisms between urbanization and regional ecology be studied and established based on the five "transformations". 参考文献 相似文献 引证文献

Urban landscape architecture design under the view of sustainable development

The concept of sustainable development in modern city landscape design advocates landscape architecture, which is the main development direction in the field of landscape design. They are also effective measures to promote the sustainable development of city garden. Based on this, combined with the connotation of sustainable development and sustainable design, this paper analyzes and discusses the design of urban landscape under the concept of sustainable development.

Statistic Measurement and Empirical Research on Sustainable Development of China Internet

In this paper, the concepts of green development and coordinated development of the Internet are proposed, and the connotation of sustainable development of the Internet is defined further. Based on these, by using the comprehensive evaluation method, the Internet sustainable development index (ISDI) system is created and designed, the sustainable development level of the Internet in China is evaluated and measured systematically, and corresponding policy suggestions are given.

清洁发展机制(CDM)对区域可持续发展评价综述

促进发展中国家的可持续发展(SD)是清洁发展机制(CDM)的核心内容。如何客观评价CDM项目对地区可持续发展的影响是清洁发展机制理论研究的重要命题，对于今后应对气候变化政策的制定具有重要意义。本文在已有国内外相关研究基础上，分别从可持续发展的内涵、综合评价的指标体系、评价的方法和主要结论等四个方面，全面论述了CDM对区域可持续发展的影响。另一方面，在CDM的发展目标中，技术转移是非常重要的一个衡量要素。本文基于CDM项目中技术转移的一般过程，构建了CDM项目对技术转移的贡献评价框架。文章旨在深化CDM对区域可持续发展影响的理解并为今后应对气候变化政策的制定提供参考。 Promoting Sustainable Development (SD) for developing countries is the main objective of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). How to objectively evaluate the impacts of CDM projects on regional sustainable development is one of the critical issues of CDM, which has significance for the future actions addressing to climate change. Based on the recent related studies, this paper comprehensively reviews the impacts of CDM projects on regional sustainable development from the following aspects: the connotation of sustainable development, the comprehensive evaluation index system of sustainable development, evaluation methods and the main conclusions. Additionally, technology transfer is a very important issue in the sustainable development. In the last part an evaluation framework of contribution of CDM projects to technology transfer is provided. Main results of the previous studies are also presented. It is meaningful that the study can deepen the understanding of the impacts of CDM on regional sustainable development and therefore can provide a reference for the policy making in the future.

What means sustainability and sustainable development?

What is the meaning of the terms sustainable development and sustainability? Although both terms have general positive connotation, thereremains a difference between the connotation of sustainable development and sustainability. These differences are particularly true for people that do not know the terms.

Research on integrated tourism Cleaner Production and tourist landscape eco-design

This paper puts forward integrated tourism Cleaner Production (CP) and demonstrates it is an inevitable course for the sustainable development of tourism industry. Further more, tourist landscape eco-design was discussed, which plays a very important role in the integrated tourism CP but the current research on it is insufficient. This paper uses landscape ecology to make a systemic analysis to spatial structure of tourist landscape and presents an ECRS model of tourist landscape eco-design based on ecology, culture, region and science, which can further enrich the connotation of sustainable development of tourism.
