Fast Network Path Restoration Through Modified Finite State Machine Model in Border Gateway Protocol

The interminable Internet Connectivity is imperative for the present style of living and the swelling size of network traffic has kindled challenges for establishing a no jitter network. The twists of Routing Protocols and underlying mechanisms were undercover and need to be explored enough. In this paper, we review various dimensions of existing Network Path Restoration mechanisms and proposed a modification in the connection establishment process of Exterior Routing Protocol for quick network path restoration. The de-facto Routing Protocol for inter-autonomous systems is the Border Gateway Routing Protocol (BGP). The connection establishment process of BGP must be modified for the quick recovery from a link failure in a network. The need for TCP/IP, 3 ways handshake process during connection re-establishment in BGP must be mitigated. The goal of this research paper is to design a network, for the modification of the connection establishment process of BGP.

Dynamic Speed Control of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Data Collection under Internet of Things.

With the new advancements in flight control and integrated circuit (IC) technology, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely used in various applications. One of the typical application scenarios is data collection for large-scale and remote sensor devices in the Internet of things (IoT). However, due to the characteristics of massive connections, access collisions in the MAC layer lead to high power consumption for both sensor devices and UAVs, and low efficiency for the data collection. In this paper, a dynamic speed control algorithm for UAVs (DSC-UAV) is proposed to maximize the data collection efficiency, while alleviating the access congestion for the UAV-based base stations. With a cellular network considered for support of the communication between sensor devices and drones, the connection establishment process was analyzed and modeled in detail. In addition, the data collection efficiency is also defined and derived. Based on the analytical models, optimal speed under different sensor device densities is obtained and verified. UAVs can dynamically adjust the speed according to the sensor device density under their coverages to keep high data collection efficiency. Finally, simulation results are also conducted to verify the accuracy of the proposed analytical models and show that the DSC-UAV outperforms others with the highest data collection efficiency, while maintaining a high successful access probability, low average access delay, low block probability, and low collision probability.

Connection establishment in high-speed networks

The evolving view of connection establishment for connection-oriented services in high-speed networks such as ATM involves a contract negotiation process between a user agent and a network agent. The first stage consists of separate roles for the user and the network. The user agent must characterize the information streams that will be transmitted and the performance parameters that define the desired quality of service for that user. Similarly, the network agent must determine the network's resources and its capabilities to accommodate various mixes of service types. The second stage involves negotiations between multiple network and user agents, in which the parties agree to set up connections to transmit the agreed information streams in a manner to guarantee the agreed qualities of service, and at agreed prices. We focus on these two stages that together form the connection establishment process. After this process, during the connection, the network must police the user to determine compliance with the information stream characteristics, and must implement flow control, service priority mechanisms and packet multiplexing disciplines as necessary to guarantee the quality of service.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
